NSFW Meth Head Trailer Will Have You Seeking Rehab

What do you get when you fold two decades’ worth of young stars — and one very confused-looking Tom Sizemore — into a cautionary tale about the perils of meth use? Try Meth Head , a swear-y, scream-y, violent and thoroughly destabilizing journey to the depths of the worst known addiction this side of Words With Friends. Your venerable guides: Lukas Haas, Wilson Cruz, Scott Patterson and a laconic Sizemore among others. It’s the feel-bad movie of 2012, coming soon to a festival near you! To wit, from a press release: Kyle Peoples never wanted to be the man he has become in his 30s, an accountant stuck in a dead end job, with a lover who is more successful than he and a family that doesn’t get him at all. So when a night of partying leads to a new family of friends and fun, Kyle sees an opportunity for escape from reality. But Kyle’s new friendship with Maia and Dusty and the trio’s love of crystal meth eventually cost Kyle his job, his companion, his home and his family. Kyle’s escape becomes his trap, the party is an illusion and the crystal is slowly killing him, physically and psychologically. When he finally bottoms out and is no longer the young man his father once boasted about with pride, Kyle must choose: life or meth. Yikes. This thing has me wanting to go to rehab. Festival premieres are forthcoming, according to the release; stay tuned to Movieline for more details as events warrant. Follow S.T. VanAirsdale on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Coming This March, Pauly Shore in Whiskey Business

Good news, Pauly Shore fans! Hot on the heels of his recent appearance in last fall’s Bucky Larson: Born to Be A Star , the Weasel himself is heading back to the spotlight with a new feature comedy about a Jersey Shore -style guido wrongly accused of murder who’s forced to hide out in the country, where he develops a knack for bootlegging moonshine. It’s called — simply, poetically — Whiskey Business . What’s that? Tell you MORE?? Developed by CMT and airing March 25 on the cable network, Whiskey Business sees Shore pile on the fake tanner and douchebag airs as “Nicky, (Pauly Shore), the son of New Jersey’s most powerful crime boss. Nicky is supposed to follow in his father’s footsteps, but he’d much rather DJ and mix cocktails at a local club.” Who wouldn’t? “When Nicky is framed for murder he didn’t commit, he goes on the run to escape the law and ends up in a small Tennessee town where he sticks out like a sore thumb. Nicky brings some Jersey Shore to the Deep South and is treated with Southern Hospitality and is befriended by a cast of characters, including country cougar Trina (Tanya Tucker). At first Nicky is as suspicious of the townspeople’s moonshine as they are of his fake tan, but he soon bonds with the residents to take down Gilly (John Schneider), the town’s corrupt sheriff.” I know what you’re thinking: How have we survived this long as a people without a movie called Whiskey Business , let alone the historical meeting of the MTV-spawned Pauly and Jersey Shores? (Fun fact: There is one movie listed on IMDb about wacky pet shenanigans called Frisky Business and another involving naughty bondage, but no other Whiskey Business to date.) I don’t know, either, but I do know that these behind-the-scenes photos and stills Shore posted to his Facebook fan page during filming (including the Saddest. Fist bump. Ever. ) only make this even more of a must-DVR occasion. In a press release, Mary Beth Cunin, SVP Programming Strategy at CMT, explained the move to produce an original Shore vehicle. “Pauly Shore is a CMT fan-favorite and we’re thrilled to be in business with him on this movie… Pauly’s movie Son In Law is one of CMT’s top performers, so to find a new vehicle to showcase his talent and popularity is an exciting opportunity.” Ah, Son in Law . Suddenly it all makes even more sense. Looks like Shore’s on his way to being “the West Coast’s Woody Allen” after all! [ Deadline , Facebook ]

Azealia Banks Comes Out The Closet As Bisexual!

Read the original post:

Hip-Hop is an arena where homophobia is commonplace. There hasn’t been a rapper with wide mainstream success to come out as gay  or bisexual. It looks like the gay community might have a hip-hop representative in Azealia Banks . She has been hailed as The Next Big Thing and in a recent interview with The New York Times , Banks was quoted saying: “Ms. Banks considers herself bisexual, but, she said: “I’m not trying to be, like, the bisexual, lesbian rapper. I don’t live on other people’s terms.’” Although Azealia Banks doesn’t want to be the poster child for bisexuality in hip-hop, if she blows up the way tastemakers are predicting, she just might be thrust into the role. The question is will she be able to handle it? Only time will tell. Get the rest of the story at Huffington Pos t. Get Well: Jason Derulo Breaks His Neck In Rehearsal, Cancels World Tour After Nearly Being Paralyzed

This ish sounds cray. This kid is so blessed to be alive and still have movement! Jason Derulo is taking it easy after one particularly bad stumble onstage. The R&B singer, who just recently performed at MTV’s “NYE in NYC 2012,” quickly wound up bedridden after an acrobatic trick he was practicing for his upcoming world tour went awry. “I fractured my neck doing tumbling & acrobatics 4 tour! Always tryin 2 push boundaries 4 YOU!” he tweeted to his followers Thursday. “Like my new chain?” In the photo that accompanied the tweet, Derulo, 22, is shown lying on a bed in a hospital gown with a massive neck brace weighing his head down. According to a press release from his record company, Derulo landed on his head during rehearsal, fracturing one of his vertebrae and nearly winding up paralyzed from the incident. The singer was taken immediately to a hospital in Pembroke Pines, Fla. Derulo was set to embark on his “Future History” world tour, and had previously talked about plans to kick his performance up a notch. “For my show I want to bring a performance-art element,” he told MTV News. “It won’t just be a run-of-the-mill me standing in front of a band. It will be a lot of dancing, obviously, but there will be somewhat of a story line, almost like a musical. “So it’s a show that’s going to be very different than anything people have ever seen. I’ve just really, really been trying to focus on creating something that is new, something that is fresh, so that when my fans come, it will be an experience.” No word yet on when the “Don’t Wanna Go Home” singer will be able to get back on his feet, but all ticketholders will receive refunds. Derulo expressed his disappointment in a statement: “To all my fans who planned to come to the Future History World Tour, the pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I’ve sustained. “My fans mean everything to me, so I’m praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future.” Get well soon Jason! Demi Moore as Gloria Steinem, the Latest Distracting Casting Move for Lovelace

I can kind of see a resemblance between Demi Moore and feminist activist/journalist Gloria Steinem, whom the former Mrs. Kutcher has been tapped to play in Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s Lovelace . But at this point the porn biopic — the one starring Amanda Seyfried as Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace, to feature a cameo by James Franco as Hugh Hefner — feels like it’s turning into a bizarrely distracting hit parade-sideshow of stars/names playing real life Lovelace acquaintances. (Further evidence, just announced over the wires: Eric Roberts as… lie detector test administrator Nat Laurendi! For reals.) According to a press release, Moore, Roberts, and Adam Brody are the latest cast members to join Lovelace , with Moore’s Steinem turn described by Variety’s Jeff Sneider as just a cameo-length role. Brody, meanwhile, will play porn actor Harry Reems, who co-starred as the doctor diagnosing Lovelace’s unusual condition in the 1972 XXX flick Deep Throat . Raise your hand if you’re ready to see the guy from The O.C. with a porn ‘stache. (*crickets…*) The popularity of Deep Throat and its crazy, mob-financed backstory notwithstanding, Lovelace’s life is rife with rough drama: Her entry into the porn business under the thumb of abusive husband Chuck Traynor (portrayed in Lovelace by the ultimate guy you can’t trust in movies, Peter Sarsgaard ), her later claims that he forced her into prostitution and unwilling sex acts under pain of violence, including in scenes of Deep Throat , and her eventual foray into the anti-porn movement with supporters like Steinem. Based on Eric Danville’s 2011 book The Complete Linda Lovelace , the film’s supporting cast already includes Franco, Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley, Bobby Canavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, and Hank Azaria; it’d be a shame for Lovelace’s compelling life story to be lost in a cast almost entirely comprised of actors unable to completely disappear into roles. I imagine Big and the T-1000 talking about porn over ’70s shag carpeting. (Okay, okay: Noth plays Deep Throat backer Anthony Romano, while Patrick plays Lovelace’s father.) Anyway, I digress. Filming is currently underway on Lovelace , so here’s to hoping the pic turns out to be as penetrating a biopic as it promises to be. [Press release]

Kelly Clarkson To Drop iTunes EP

Nine-track EP includes tracks from Stronger and revamped versions of older songs. By Jocelyn Vena Kelly Clarkson Photo: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images Kelly Clarkson is reimagining some of her songs for a special iTunes sessions album. The nine-track EP will drop December 27, with pre-orders kicking off Tuesday (December 13). According to a press release, the album will include three songs from Clarkson’s latest album, Stronger, including its lead single, “Mr. Know It All,” along with “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” and “You Can’t Win.” She will also kick it old-school with revamped versions of “Never Again,” “Since U Been Gone,” “Why Don’t You Try” and “My Life Would Suck Without You.” The final two tracks include the holiday classic “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and an interview with the star. Clarkson’s Stronger 2012 world tour is slated to kick off January 13. She will start in Connecticut at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods before making her way around North America, with stops in New York, Austin, Atlanta and Los Angeles. The tour will end April 10 in San Diego. Stronger, Clarkson’s fifth studio album, dropped in October and debuted at #2, right behind Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto. Clarkson is readying the release of her next single, “What Doesn’t Kill You.” “There were a few different titles that were going around, and I think the reason why we came up with Stronger was just because every song was about empowerment and almost, like, overcoming stuff,” Clarkson told MTV News about the album title. “So, even if it was a bad situation and a sad song, it was about overcoming that. … So I think that’s why [we named it that], and I think after 10 years of doing it, you feel a little stronger personally and musically. People know you better. It’s just easier, I think.” Is your favorite Kelly Clarkson hit included on the new iTunes album? Let us know in the comments!
