Brooke Mueller Files Lawsuit Against Treatment Center

Brooke Mueller is getting along much better with Charlie Sheen these days. But the troubled celebrity is still fighting mad, aiming her anger at a treatment facility where she spent time in March of 2010. Mueller has filed a lawsuit against The Canyon rehab facility in Malibu because she believes staff members there leaked confidential medical information to the press. It is true that Brooke’s patient admissions forms were submitted to websites such as TMZ last spring, though that celebrity gossip outlet did not publish the documents. Mueller is suing for undisclosed damages because she believes her privacy was violated. [Photo: WENN.com]

Lady Gaga Questions President Obama On Bullying

Mother Monster attended an Obama fundraiser over the weekend at home of Facebook COO. By Gil Kaufman Lady Gaga Photo: BuzzFoto Lady Gaga is not one to make a promise to her Little Monsters and not keep it. That explains why she raised her hand and asked President Obama a question about bullying at a Silicon Valley fundraising event for the Commander in Chief over the weekend at the home of Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg. The $38,500-per-couple event for around 70 guests took place under a tent in Sandberg’s yard and, according to ABC News , where Gaga made good on a Twitter vow she’d posted last Wednesday in reaction to the suicide of bullied teen Jamey Rodemeyer . Gaga — who turned heads in a black dress with a dramatically plunging back, extremely high heels, a blond upswept hairdo and a black veil covering the back of her hair — brought up the issue during the Q&A segment of the event. Though a transcript of the exchange is not available, according to reports, she first thanked Obama for what he’s done so far on the subject — which includes a forum held earlier this year about bullying and an “It Gets Better” video — and then read from what she described as a letter from a fan about the suicide of another Little Monster who had been bullied. After congratulating the president on all of the things he’s accomplished so far in his first term, Gaga made what was described as a “general plea” to everyone in the room, including the president, to do what they can to prevent bullying. Obama then reportedly thanked her, re-iterated his administration’s anti-bullying work and spoke in general about the importance of values. Gaga also reportedly had a bit of face time with Obama before dinner, when she walked through the photo line with her manager and spoke to the president for two minutes in a room full of other guests. The singer dedicated her song “Hair” to Rodemeyer at Saturday’s iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas, speaking out in support of the gay teen who committed suicide last week after enduring years of bullying by his school peers. Just days after the 14-year-old’s death, Gaga was so shaken that she called on Obama to enact laws that would make bullying a hate crime. “The past days I’ve spent reflecting, crying, and yelling,” she tweeted on Wednesday. “I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someone’s life.” She went further, posting Rodemeyer’s “It Gets Better” video, and insisting that bullying “must become illegal. It is a hate crime.” It was then that she revealed she planned to meet with Obama to discuss the matter. Shayne Lamas to Name Kid "Press," Seek Rep For Fetus

Shayne Lamas and Nik Richie are a couple of fame whores. Even so, naming your kid Press? Almost unfathomable. But that’s not even all. The two are reportedly in talks with a management company for Press. Now. Trying to ink a deal for said unborn child to sign talent agency two months before he or she even leaves Shayne’s female parts? We’re at a loss for words. Z Group has made a formal offer to represent the baby and would receive 15 percent of whatever the kid makes in an entertainment job (down the line). That includes as a writer, editor, performer, musician artist, etc. Pretty amazing move, although we’re curious if it involves elementary school plays. Shayne, who won The Bachelor and was engaged to Matt Grant for like 12 hours, and Nik, who runs The Dirty (dot) com, married the night they met. Astoundingly, they are still together after over a year. [Photo: WENN.com]

Lala’s Battle With The Press On “Lala’s Full Court Life” [RECAP]

The rest is here:

On this episode of “Lala’s Full Court Life”, Lala takes us behind the scenes of all her New York press tours. She heads over to “Good Day New York”, “The Wendy Williams Show” and our favorite, “Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club Morning Show”. She seems to be feeling a bit better about her NY transition this week after doing her press runs, seeing Melo’s huge billboard near timesquare and spending time with her two besties, Dice and Po. Lala mentioned during one of her interviews that she hadn’t met any of the other Knicks wives yet and worries that her statement would be taken the wrong way and turned into “Lala against the Knicks Basketball Wives”. After clearing it up during one of her interviews, she heads to lunch with Dice and Po who decide to play a game and figure out who’s significant other loves them the most by calling them while when were working and see which one picks up the phone. After Lala called Melo and was sent straight to voicemail,  Po called her girlfriend was was sent to voicemail as well, Dice was successful in getting her boo to pick up the phone and was named the winner of the game. At the end of the show, we see Lala and Kiyan getting ready to leave their hotel in Tribeca and move to a home in Westchester until they can find the perfect castle for NY’s First Family. I find it intriguing that the fact that nurses have stages protests against Wall Street has gotten pretty much no coverage in the mainstream media. I checked nurses + protest on Google News, and the only note take of their September 1 protest was a story in the Boston Herald and MarketWatch (but the latter merely published their press releases). Blink-182’s Neighborhoods: Death And All His Friends

We review Blink’s long-awaited, decidedly dark comeback album, in Bigger Than the Sound. By James Montgomery Blink-182 Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Sometime around 2003, Blink-182 decided it was time to tack their dirty joke doctorates to the wall (presumably in their respective offices, which is where everyone’s degree eventually ends up) and press on as a more serious-minded outfit. The reasons behind that decision were many — the new perspective that comes with fatherhood, a decade spent on the road, recording with Robert Smith — though, truth be told, their somber new suits never seemed to fit, mostly because, at that point, they were best known for putting porn stars in their videos and giving their albums titles like Take off Your Pants and Jacket and Enema of the State . Of course, in the eight years since their last album, a whole lot has changed. Blink-182 splintered in 2005 , subsequently sparred in the press , attempted to conquer the world with non -Blink projects , endured the deaths of longtime producer Jerry Finn and close friend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein , and in late 2008, drummer Travis Barker was seriously injured in a plane crash that killed four, including two of his associates. Needless to say, they’ve earned the right to be serious. And on their long-awaited Neighborhoods album (due September 27), they take full advantage, cramming the past 96 months of doubt, darkness and death into just 49 minutes — that’s the running time of the deluxe edition — and doing so quite convincingly. For the first time in their career, Blink seem comfortable in those somber suits. Sadly, it’s because they’ve worn them to so many funerals. Lyrically, Neighborhoods is the bleakest thing Blink have ever done, haunted by specters both real — depression, addiction, loss — and imagined. Death is a near constant, showing up in songs like the thundering “Natives” (“Maybe I’m better off dead”), the crunching “After Midnight” (“Standing close to death”), and the snarling “Hearts All Gone” (“Let’s drink ourselves to death”). Shoot, even first single “Up All Night” is highlighted by a corker of a chorus: “All these demons/they keep me up at night.” There’s a reason the first song on the album is called “Ghost on the Dancefloor”: Neighborhoods feels less like a rock record than it does an exorcism. Sonically, it’s practically nocturnal, melding the electronic flourishes of Mark Hoppus and Barker’s +44 project and the laser-light grandeur of Tom DeLonge’s Angels & Airwaves into a sound that recalls nothing so much as dark streets and black expanses, mostly of the suburban variety (the field behind the 7-Eleven, the cul-de-sac illuminated by the single streetlight, etc.). Even the chords — and there are a lot of them — are dark, as if DeLonge has dipped his Epiphone in ink. Hoppus’ bass booms ominously and Barker’s backbeats are skittering, scraping and downright scary in parts. That said, it’s not all doom and gloom. Blink still know how to write a walloping chorus, and, much like the chords, there are a lot of them on Neighborhoods. In most instances, they provide brief respites from the general bleakness: “Wishing Well” has DeLonge going “la-da-da-da-da,” the hook to “Love Is Dangerous” is practically buoyant, and, of course, there’s the aforementioned “Up All Night,” which booms and crunches like the Blink of old. And speaking of the old Blink, well, they’re largely gone here (the synthy, star-smattered opening of “Ghost on the Dancefloor” serves notice of that fact). But given everything that went into Neighborhoods lengthy gestation — it’s the rare album that took so long to come out that it actually contains a song, “Kaleidoscope,” about how long it took to come out — you can certainly understand that transformation. Blink have grown up, mostly because life forced them to, and willing or not, that maturity fits. Neighborhoods is a deep, dark, downright auto-biographical effort, and when Hoppus sings “Hold on, the worst is yet to come” (on the bopping “MH 4.18.2011”), you don’t really believe him. The worst is over. It’s all good from here on out. Related Artists blink-182
