Slimmy Trimmy Steez: Janet Jackson Covers Prevention Magazine To Talk About Her Love Life, Weight Issues, And Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris!

“Miss Jackson If Ya Nasty” takes the front and center position of this month’s issue of Prevention Magazine to let people in on what is going on in her world. Janet Jackson Covers Prevention Magazine Here is some of what she had to say. On being the spokeswoman for Nutrisystem: “I think people really connect with the idea of someone who’s gained and lost weight in a very public way, and also someone who’s an emotional eater.” On being an example to her niece Paris, Michael’s 14-year-old daughter who landed her first film role in Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys: “We’ve spoken about the fact that you’re only a child once. I think there’s a time for everything, and now is not the time [to act in films]. I told her I thought she should enjoy being a kid, possibly go to college—or not—but wait till she turns 18. She’s a very tough, smart girl. But it’s a cutthroat industry. I wouldn’t want my child to do it.” On the dichotomy of being 5’4, sweet and soft-spoken and her identity as a five-time Grammy Award-winning artist who’s sold more than 100 million records: “My songs are normally about what’s going on in my life at the moment. I don’t need to keep a diary.” Hit the flipper to see what Janet says about her weight issues, and whether or not her rich new boo-thang is a keeper for LIFE!

Chris Brown Under Fire For Dog-Breeding Business

Must be Friday. Chris Brown is stirring up controversy once again, but no pop singers or plate glass windows were bashed beyond recognition this time. This time, he’s not in trouble with the law though. It’s just his apparent side business breeding dogs and selling them for profit that has people riled up. The R&B superstar is drawing heat from animal-rights activists, obviously, who want him instead to promote adoptions of animals from shelters. On Monday, Brown’s manager-mother, Joyce Hawkins, posted a link on her Twitter to CB Breeds, a website featuring this cute photo of her son and a pup. CB Breeds is offering seven fully vaccinated American pit bull terrier pups for $1,000 a piece. Needless to say, the alleged puppy mill drew howls of protest. While CB is a perfectly legitimate enterprise, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) was quick to issue a statement condemning him: “This is a moneymaking scheme, and Brown will count the suckers who fall for it as he counts the money on the way to the bank,” PETA said. “There is no such thing as a responsible breeder while wonderful dogs are being put down in animal shelters across the country for lack of a good home.” “Shelters will count the bodies in the barrel. As Justin Bieber , Kellan Lutz and [other responsible celebrities] always say, “Adopt, never buy.” The Los Angeles chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, meanwhile, decried what it called his “backyard breeding.” Said spcaLA president Madeline Bernstein: “There is no reason to breed and produce more pit bull puppies when there are pit bull puppies waiting for homes in every shelter in America.”

Lien Wit’ It, Rock Wit’ It: Keith Sweat Is Danger Of Losing Both Of His Homes Due To Foreclosure And Major Loan Defaults

Bossip: Keith, who makes sure your mortgage gets paid every month?, Keith Sweat: Nobodyyy, babaaay! According to TMZ reports : R&B singer Keith Sweat is singing the foreclosure blues … because even after the bank took his house and sold it … he’s still on the hook for $250,000 — this according to a new lawsuit. PMI Mortgage filed the lawsuit against Sweat in Georgia — claiming the singer defaulted on a $450,000 mortgage on his Detroit home, which he purchased in 2004. Problem is — the house was drowning underwater … so when the bank sold it, it only recouped $200,000 … a fraction of its losses. PMI Mortgage sued Sweat for the balance — $253,000 — and since Keith failed to respond, a judge ruled in PMI’s favor. PMI has since sought a lien on Keith’s Georgia property in a last ditch effort to get its money. Ain’t that a beyotch? Keith Sweat is about to be homeless…SMH Image via WENN More On Bossip! For Your Information: AIDS Campaign Urges Black Women To Take Care Of Their Health…One In 32 Black Women Will Contract HIV/AIDS

More than 30 years into the HIV/AIDS epidemic, black women remain among the hardest hit, and the hardest to reach about prevention. So a determined Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has launched an aggressive awareness campaign in Fort Lauderdale and nine other U.S. cities to urge this vulnerable population to take “take charge” of their health and get tested. Armed with free testing, a litany of radio, outdoor and transit ads, and information distributed in salons, stores, churches and other venues where black women frequent, “Take Charge. Take the Test” hopes to put a dent in some daunting statistics: One in 32 black women will contract HIV/AIDS in their lifetime, compared to one in 106 Latinas and one in 526 white women. Few areas of the country understand that better, or are a more fitting target, than South Florida, where Miami-Dade County ranks first, Broward ranks second and Palm Beach County ranks sixth in the nation for the highest number of new AIDS cases per capita, statistics show. Black women are among the fastest growing population of new cases in all three counties. Wow one in 32 black women vs. one in 526 white women….enough said. Source More On Bossip! Get Well: Rick Ross Finally Decides To Take It Easy, Cancels All Shows This Weekend

We’re glad Rozay is taking his recent health scare more seriously than he seemed to initially. According to TMZ , Rozay has cancelled the second show he had scheduled for this weekend. With his health still a major concern, Rick Ross has decided to play it easy this weekend … rescheduling his L.A. concert for 2012 so he can focus on his recovery. As TMZ first reported, Rick suffered two seizures last week before a performance in Memphis — which he canceled — and promoters think it’s still too soon for Ross to get back on stage. Promoters believe Ross needs more time to get better — so they contacted his people and the two camps agreed to reschedule the L.A. performance to January. Promoters also tell TMZ, “Pushing [Ross] to do a show that he was not prepared to do was not beneficial to anyone.” Yesterday, our sister site HipHopWired.com reported that Rozay’s Atlanta performance, which was scheduled for this Friday as part of Georgia State University homecoming festivities had also been cancelled. While Ross has yet to speak about his health and there are still no details about exactly what caused him to have two seizures in one day , at least three of his friends have revealed in recent interviews that they are encouraging him to chill and focus on his health, and that he is absolutely taking it light.

Hide Ya Kids! Study Shows 1 In 10 Texas 11-Year-Olds Have Given Up Their Goodies

Hide Ya Kids! Especially if you live in Texas… According to a study out of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston: 1. Almost one in 10 Texas 6th graders have had sex. 2. The percentage of Texas7th and 8th graders who have had sex is 22 and 29 percent respectively. 3. Of high school-aged kids, 32 percent of 9th graders, 41 percent of 10th graders, 53 percent of 11th graders and 62 percent of 12th graders have had sex. 4. Just over one third of the entire public middle and high school population are sexually experienced. 5. Texas students are more likely to report having had sex with four or more partners and are less likely to have used birth control or condoms. 6. Texas students are also significantly less likely to receive education about HIV or AIDS in school. 7. Males are significantly more likely than their counterparts to report having sex for the first time before age 13, having more than four partners and using drugs or alcohol before having sex. The results come from an analysis of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey, the CDC’s Middle School Youth Risk Behavior Survey and the University of Texas Prevention Research Center’s All About Youth study. Guess that explains why Rick Perry wanted all the kids to get the HPV vaccine before 6th grade… But seriously, where are these kids’ parents? Source
