Just prior to his first birthday (this Tuesday!!!!), Prince George has inadvertently posed for a new official portrait… that depicts the Royal Toddler taking some of his first steps! Parents William and Kate selected a butterfly exhibit at London’s Natural History Museum as the location for this adorable photograph, released across the Internet in honor of their son’s major milestone. Are those overalls to die for or what?!? The image was snapped by John Stillwell, of the Press Association wire service in Great Britain. “He’s quick on his feet,” Stillwell tells People . “He was walking towards me – I was kneeling down to take the picture and he was on top of me as soon as he started walking. He was very quick. He looked really steady on his feet.” The Duke of Cambridge recently joked that his child “will be running faster than me very soon” and it looks like that may very well be the case. Is Kate Middleton pregnant again for real? That’s the rumor going around, and British bookmakers are seeing heightened activity as a result! Just as Prince George’s birthday is approaching, and with old friend Jessica Hay “confirming” her second pregnancy, the rumor mill is working overtime. Eager royal family fans are wondering when a little sister or brother may join the adorable royal baby in the palace nursery. Could it be within a year? A British bookmaker is encouraging that speculation … or was, until a firm called Coral halted all bets on the pregnancy of the Duke and Duchess Monday. A series of bets were placed online Monday night on whether Kate Middleton is indeed expecting a second child right now, which makes you wonder. As in, wonder what those people know … and wonder who bets on celebrity gossip ?! “When bets come in at once late in the evening, it sets alarm bells off,” Coral’s Nicola McGeady said, noting that up until yesterday, “It’s been quiet.” “Then all of a sudden, a week before Prince George’s birthday , this happened. The bets sealed our opinion that someone knows something we don’t.” Coral was offering odds of 10-1 on Kate announcing a second pregnancy in early July, but the odds were cut to even money amid a swarm of action. At that point, the firm pulled the plug entirely. Whatever the cause of the flurry of activity, the 32-year-old Kate is believed to ignoring the speculation as tiresome, as she has other things on her mind. Prince George, Kate Middleton and Prince William appear in a new family picture together for the first time since October, and it was worth the wait. William released the latest family photograph, a charming and stunning snapshot of their 8-month-old baby boy with the family dog Lupo, on Saturday: The Duke, 31, and Duchess Kate Middleton , 32, are seen perched by a windowsill at their home, Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace, with their son. Looking happy and flawless as always, Kate holds onto Prince George as he gazes at Lupo, who the heir to the throne has his arm wrapped around. The royal baby, needless to say, is beyond adorable with his hair growing out and his blue-colored sweater with “George” written across the front of it. Royals. They’re just like us. Sort of. They do seem quite approachable and down-to-earth as billionaires and future monarchs go. You get the impression you could be friends with the family. Kate Middleton and Cressida Bonas might both be royals pretty soon as Prince Harry will likely propose to Bonas in 2014, but an upcoming book implies that neither of them should really be members of the House of Windsor at all. Marcia Moody , in her book Harry: A Biography , says “Kate and Cressida aren’t a natural fit, left to their own devices.” What she means is that neither is really fit to be Queen. Movie legend Shirley Temple died last night at the age 85. The former child actress retired more than six decades prior to her passing, but she’s still remembered for her red hair, her dimples, her signature drink – and for one song in particular. Temple first sang “On the Good Ship Lollipop” in 1934’s Bright Eyes, belting out the track in a scene she reportedly choreographed herself. The most beloved person on the planet celebrates a birthday today. Yes, Kate Middleton is now 32 years old and we’re not kidding: Does anyone out there not adore this beautiful royal wife and mother?!? It’s safe to say the Duchess of Cambridge has enjoyed an eventful year since the last anniversary of her birth, most notably giving birth to son George in July. Kate – or ” Babykins ,” as Prince William apparently refers to her as – debuted the child on July 23 and made her first red carpet appearance after this life-altering event in early September at the Tusk Conservation Awards. Needless to say, she looked gorgeous. Prince George was then christened on October 26 in London, a ceremony that once again put Middleton in the public eye and which she once again handled with perfect grace. Despite recent tabloid reports, Kate and William are not expecting a second child… not yet, anyway. But there is a good chance these two become parents again at some point in the future, which will just give the world another chance to appreciate the very happy, very attractive couple.
