Pippa Middleton’s Christening gift to royal baby Prince George is … interesting. What did his aunt get him and will the young heir appreciate it in a few years? The younger sister of Kate Middleton reportedly purchased silver sculptures specifically crafted from the Prince of Cambridge’s baby hands and feet. The keepsakes cost approximately $11,000. The pieces designed by Wrightson and Platt (above) are each custom designed in a small London facility. In order to create the molds, Prince George would have had to have his little hands and feet placed in a jelly-like, organic mixture of water and powder. The entire process only 30 seconds, so if the entire Prince George Christening went off without a hitch, the youngster likely endured that with no problem. Pippa Middleton Christening Gift Still, as far as Christening gifts go, is this one sweet or weird? It definitely raises your eyebrows a bit, but then again, different isn’t bad, and it’s not like you can get this particular kid money to save for a rainy day. He’s the future KING, after all. The boy who has everything! Also, he’s likely received every gift under the sun, future head of state that he is. So perhaps this was her attempt at both a personal and unique touch. Nico Jackson, Pippa Middleton’s boyfriend, has not proposed to Kate’s little sister, despite the deluge of reports hitting the media over the past week. Pippa Middleton Secretly Engaged? Reports of Pippa Middleton engaged to Nico Jackson ran wild over Labor Day weekend, but sources close to the Duchess’ sibling say it is just not true. The party planner, and her lower backside, first made major headlines when she stunned in a tight-fitted Alexander McQueen dress at Kate’s maid of honor. Pippa, 29, and stockbroker Nico, 35, have been dating for more than six months at this point, and are both reportedly very smitten with one another. He supposedly went with her to see Kate Middleton and Prince George shortly after the Royal Baby was born, so you know things are pretty serious! Engaged or not, expect Nico to outlast Alex Loudon (2010-11) and George Percy (2012) on the list of Guys We Hate Because They Date Pippa Middleton.

Royal Baby Thank You Notes: CUTE!

Anyone who sent a note or a gift congratulating Kate Middleton and Prince William in the past month got a thank you note – and a royally cute one at that! The 31-year-olds are sending notes of thanks to the well-wishers who reached out following the birth of the Royal Baby, Prince George, on July 22. The image on the front of the card is one of the first Royal Baby photos , in which the family stood on the steps of the Lindo Wing after his birth. Kate Middleton is wearing her instantly-infamous cornflower blue and white polka dot Jenny Packham dress, cradling Prince George in her arms. Reads a note on the back of the card: “Their Royal Highnesses have been overwhelmed by the wonderful messages and gifts they have received and send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.” A spokesperson said they “are slowly going through a backlog” of all the warm wishes sent by members of the public, and cards will continue to be sent out. The duo also sent cards to those who congratulated them on their pregnancy late last year, and that card featured Kate in another Jenny Packham frock. Symmetry. And gracious beauty. Hopefully, more Prince George photos will be released and used on more Royal Family stationary … holiday cards, perhaps? Fingers crossed!

Man Knocks Girlfriend Unconscious, Drags Her Into Car: VIDEO

WARNING : The following video is disturbing and graphic in nature, even more than the snake head which bit its own body . Over the weekend, police arrested a New Orleans resident named Elvin Terrell after a surveillance video captured him violently assaulting his girlfriend, wrestling with her in the lobby of a Holiday Inn before taking her outside and knocking her unconscious with a blow to the head. Terrell then dragged her into the backseat of his car and drove away. The incident took place around 4:50 a.m. on August 16 and Terrell turned himself in the following night. He has been charged with with domestic kidnapping, child desertation, child endangering and cruelty to a juvenile. The video is positively insane. Watch now: Man Knocks Girlfriend Unconscious

Prince William: Royal Baby is a "Rascal," Kate Middleton Doing a "Fantastic Job"

Prince William says his son Prince George is already a bit of a royal rascal, while the baby’s mother, Kate Middleton , is doing a fantastic job of it. William told CNN in his first interview since becoming a dad that posing for the first Royal Baby photos the day after George’s birth felt oddly logical. Prince William: Royal Baby a “Rascal” “I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine about George, that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him,” he gushed. “As any new parent knows, you’re only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best looking or the best everything.” England’s newest royal proved to be on his best behavior then, William pointed out: “I’m just glad he wasn’t screaming his head off the whole way through!” Global royal watchers were impressed when the new royal family left the hospital, and William installed the car seat himself without a hitch. “Believe me, it wasn’t my first time,” the 31-year-old admitted in the interview. “I know there’s been speculation about that. I had to practice, I really did.” The first-time dad was also the first to change George’s diaper, or “nappy” in British parlance: “I had every midwife staring at me, ‘You do it. You do it.'” George, he said, is a little bit of a “rascal” who is “growing quite quickly actually. But he’s a little fighter. He kind of, he wriggles around quite a lot.” “And he doesn’t want to go to sleep that much, which is a bit of a problem.” William confided that he’s up at all hours as a result, but “not as much as Catherine,” he said of wife of two years Kate Middleton. “She’s doing a fantastic job. “For me, Catherine, and now little George are my priorities.” “I think the last few weeks for me have been just a very emotional experience . Something I never thought I would feel myself … a lot of things affect me differently now.”

Kate Middleton to Resume Royal Duties Next Month

Prince William has already returned to military duty, and now Kate Middleton has booked her first public engagement since the birth of the royal baby. The first-time mom is planning on making her official post-baby comeback next month, palace sources say, at the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards. On September 12, a top conservationist will be the recipient of the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa – a cause near to William’s heart. Kate Middleton ’s appearance comes nearly two months after the birth of Prince George on July 22. Since then, she’s enjoyed low-key bonding time with her son. The youngest royal will not attend the event, and The Daily Mail says that he is likely to be left with his grandma, Carole Middleton, as the babysitter. Things appear to be going well for the couple overall these days. They are said to be enjoying life as new parents and are expected to release more Royal Baby photos soon. Sesame Street Presents: Sons of Poetry!

Sons of Anarchy has officially made it. Yes, the FX drama is about to embark on its sixth season. Granted, it’s one of the highest rated show in cable history. But now that Sesame Street has parodied the series via a sketch titled “Sons of Poetry,” creator Kurt Sutter and company can truly bask in the glory of their impressive accomplishment. If you can take your eyes away from Cookie Monster singing a cover of “I Want It,” learn all about rhyme schemes through these motorcycle-riding puppets now: Sesame Street Parodies Sons of Anarchy Sons of Anarchy Season 6 premieres on September 10.

Diana Trailer: The "People’s Princess" On the Big Screen

Much like the JFK assassination, people remember where they were when they heard Princess Diana had died. She was, and remains, one of the most recognizable women in the world. When Prince George, aka the Royal Baby , was born, talk returned to Diana and her legacy. Nearing the 16th anniversary of her death, a new film is coming out that focuses on a very brief moment in the Princess’ life but one the filmmakers believe to be a pivotal one.  Check out the  Diana trailer below! Diana Movie Trailer Directed by Oliver Hirshbiegel, who is known most well for his film,  Downfall , which provided the scene for the very popular “Hitler Reacts To” meme,  Diana tells the story of the love affair between Diana (Naomi Watts) and Dr. Hasnat Kahn (Naveen Andrews).  While it, of course, garnered plenty of paparazzi attention, the affair is not as well remembered as others including the ill-fated Dodi Fayed. Diana is set to open in the UK on September 20th, no US date has been set as of yet.

Is the media coverage of Kate Middleton’s post-pregnancy body, which became THE topic right after she gave birth to the Royal Baby , disrespectful to women? Since the moment she and Prince William presented Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge to the world, her figure became a talking point. Reactions to her appearance ranged from positive to negative to just plain curious. “Why Does Kate Middleton Still Have Her Baby Bump?” screamed one headline. “Kate Middleton’s royal baby post-bump is a boost of confidence for mums everywhere,” another said. “How can she look so pretty just after giving birth?” One fashion blogger wrote “in all honesty, the dress was not pleasing to the eye, neither was the stomach. I hope she gets her post-maternity bod soon.” Scores of Middleton-related search terms clogged the web, such as “diet,” “post baby bump,” “belly,” “stomach,” and “why does Kate Middleton still look pregnant.” Kate remains wildly popular, but could the whole thing signal that society’s obsession with her looks puts unrealistic stress on mothers and women? “The media’s neuroticism over Kate’s post-pregnant looks is brainwashing women,” human behavior expert Patrick Wanis told Fox News. How? He says that the intense coverage implies all women will be “judged and criticized unless they meet the new standard – unattainable perfection.” “The obsession with the perfect female body is spiraling out of control.” The same DAY she gave birth, a weight loss tabloid cover from OK! sparked outcry thanks to its “Kate’s Post-Baby Weight Loss Regime” headline. As for the medical reason her “bump” is still showing, experts say it takes around 10 days for a woman’s womb to contract back to its normal size. Many praised Kate for her “bravery” in challenging one of the taboos of pregnancy – the post-partum belly – and for not recoiling from the spotlight. Basically, she’s not image-obsessed and doesn’t care what people say, and certainly isn’t holding out for a huge tabloid photo spread a la Kim Kardashian . Just the same, when it comes to the media, critics say it’s all too much. “The focus should be on how she feels as a mother and the love and nurturing she will express as well as the bond between her and her newborn,” Wanis said. “Rather than whether or not she still looks hot. And hot for whom?”
