Prince George Photos: Royal Baby, Family Cuteness Revealed!

Now almost a month old, his Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, a.k.a. the Royal Baby, is back for a second round of pictures. The Royal Baby photos released one day after his birth July 22 were very special, but the world has eagerly awaited more ever since. Now the wait is over. And it was worth it. Here’s young George with his glowing, proud parents: Aww. Honestly, what’s not to love about this couple and their new addition? Prince William and Kate Middleton may not be getting a lot of sleep, but you wouldn’t know it from this shot of the happy couple with their little son. Follow the jump for a second family photo, featuring their dog Lupo! Oh, and that’s Tilly, a retriever and Middleton family pet, on the left. Eschewing a formal shoot with a professional photographer, the royals’ latest pics were taken in early August by none other than Kate’s father, Michael Middleton. The location? His home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, UK. “William and Catherine wanted to release photos that are more natural and personable, something more intimate,” a Palace aide says of the shots. Kate is looking especially radiant in a fuchsia knot front maternity dress by Seraphine as she holds little George, who was “very peaceful” during the shoot. From the sound of it, that’s not exactly a given with him. William said in his first interview since becoming a dad that the “rascal” isn’t sleeping too much, but that Kate Middleton is ” doing a fantastic job .” We have little doubt. Congrats again, Will and Kate!

Prince William: Royal Baby is a "Rascal," Kate Middleton Doing a "Fantastic Job"

Prince William says his son Prince George is already a bit of a royal rascal, while the baby’s mother, Kate Middleton , is doing a fantastic job of it. William told CNN in his first interview since becoming a dad that posing for the first Royal Baby photos the day after George’s birth felt oddly logical. Prince William: Royal Baby a “Rascal” “I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine about George, that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him,” he gushed. “As any new parent knows, you’re only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best looking or the best everything.” England’s newest royal proved to be on his best behavior then, William pointed out: “I’m just glad he wasn’t screaming his head off the whole way through!” Global royal watchers were impressed when the new royal family left the hospital, and William installed the car seat himself without a hitch. “Believe me, it wasn’t my first time,” the 31-year-old admitted in the interview. “I know there’s been speculation about that. I had to practice, I really did.” The first-time dad was also the first to change George’s diaper, or “nappy” in British parlance: “I had every midwife staring at me, ‘You do it. You do it.'” George, he said, is a little bit of a “rascal” who is “growing quite quickly actually. But he’s a little fighter. He kind of, he wriggles around quite a lot.” “And he doesn’t want to go to sleep that much, which is a bit of a problem.” William confided that he’s up at all hours as a result, but “not as much as Catherine,” he said of wife of two years Kate Middleton. “She’s doing a fantastic job. “For me, Catherine, and now little George are my priorities.” “I think the last few weeks for me have been just a very emotional experience . Something I never thought I would feel myself … a lot of things affect me differently now.”

Johnny Manziel: Kicked Out of Texas Frat Party!

Texas A&M football star Johnny Manziel is back in the news again, this time for being kicked out of a frat party at the University of Texas this weekend. Johnny Manziel Kicked Out of Frat Party Manziel, attending a fraternity party at the University of Texas, was “quickly and harshly” kicked out of the event Friday night after a deluge of taunts. Dressed in a soaked pink golf shirt and black baseball cap, Manziel barely evaded the brunt of an airborne beer can amid screams of “get the f–k out!” Never a dull moment for Johnny Football. According to reports, Manziel stayed in Austin on Saturday and attended a daytime fraternity party, where he was spotted wearing a Tim Tebow jersey. Just two weeks ago, Manziel faced criticism at SEC media days after his early departure the previous weekend from the Manning Passing Academy. Despite rumors he was kicked out for being hung over, he said he had only overslept, was fatigued from a busy schedule and his leaving was a mutual decision. He reiterated he was a college kid and going to do what normal college kids do despite his status as the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy. “I’m still going to live my life to the fullest,” Manziel said, and indeed, the 20-year-old sophomore has been no stranger to headlines this offseason. He tweeted in early June that “Bulls— like tonight is a reason why I can’t wait to leave college station… whenever it may be,” later deleting the post. He also agreed to a plea deal on misdemeanor charges stemming from a 2012 arrest and reportedly shoved a graduate assistant coach at a spring game.

Kate Middleton Post-Baby Body Media Coverage: Disrespectful to Women?

Is the media coverage of Kate Middleton’s post-pregnancy body, which became THE topic right after she gave birth to the Royal Baby , disrespectful to women? Since the moment she and Prince William presented Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge to the world, her figure became a talking point. Reactions to her appearance ranged from positive to negative to just plain curious. “Why Does Kate Middleton Still Have Her Baby Bump?” screamed one headline. “Kate Middleton’s royal baby post-bump is a boost of confidence for mums everywhere,” another said. “How can she look so pretty just after giving birth?” One fashion blogger wrote “in all honesty, the dress was not pleasing to the eye, neither was the stomach. I hope she gets her post-maternity bod soon.” Scores of Middleton-related search terms clogged the web, such as “diet,” “post baby bump,” “belly,” “stomach,” and “why does Kate Middleton still look pregnant.” Kate remains wildly popular, but could the whole thing signal that society’s obsession with her looks puts unrealistic stress on mothers and women? “The media’s neuroticism over Kate’s post-pregnant looks is brainwashing women,” human behavior expert Patrick Wanis told Fox News. How? He says that the intense coverage implies all women will be “judged and criticized unless they meet the new standard – unattainable perfection.” “The obsession with the perfect female body is spiraling out of control.” The same DAY she gave birth, a weight loss tabloid cover from OK! sparked outcry thanks to its “Kate’s Post-Baby Weight Loss Regime” headline. As for the medical reason her “bump” is still showing, experts say it takes around 10 days for a woman’s womb to contract back to its normal size. Many praised Kate for her “bravery” in challenging one of the taboos of pregnancy – the post-partum belly – and for not recoiling from the spotlight. Basically, she’s not image-obsessed and doesn’t care what people say, and certainly isn’t holding out for a huge tabloid photo spread a la Kim Kardashian . Just the same, when it comes to the media, critics say it’s all too much. “The focus should be on how she feels as a mother and the love and nurturing she will express as well as the bond between her and her newborn,” Wanis said. “Rather than whether or not she still looks hot. And hot for whom?”

Kate Middleton Weight Loss Tabloid Cover: Too Soon?

A tabloid is under scrutiny for a cover story about Kate Middleton’s alleged post-baby weight loss regime … released the same day she gave birth. The UK version of OK! came out Monday with a photo of the new royal mom on the cover and the headline “Kate’s Post-Baby Weight Loss Regime.” Promoting an interview with someone described as her trainer, the story claims Kate Middleton is “super fit … her stomach will shrink straight back.” Many people felt that the story was a little too soon (to say the least) and puts pressure on new moms to instantly lose the baby weight they put on. The cover quickly sparked a Twitter backlash, including from TV and radio presenter Katy Hill, who tweeted a photo of her own post-baby body. “I think all mums should boycott @OK_Magazine for this cover ONE DAY after Kate Middleton has given birth. REALLY? #RoyalBaby,” Hill tweeted. “New Mums. If the @OK_Magazine #Kate cover has made you feel bad, here’s me 2 months post baby. YOU MADE A HUMAN! x,” she added. Tamsin Kelly, editor of Parentdish, said: “For this magazine to be in UK shops on the very same day Kate left hospital with her baby is contemptible.” “Women who do get back in shape fast may have an entourage of trainers, nutrition experts and most importantly, someone to care for their baby.” The celebrity gossip publication responded in a statement, claiming it did not intend to offend anyone, but stopping short of issuing an apology. “Kate is one of the great beauties of our age and readers love her,” a spokeswoman for Northern & Shell, the parent company of OK! said. “Like the rest of the world, we were very moved by her radiance as she and Prince William introduced the Prince of Cambridge to the world.” “We would not dream of being at all critical of her appearance.” “If that was misunderstood on our cover it was not intended.” Sure thing, OK! Your heartfelt intentions will never again be questioned. On the bright side, nothing can take away from the grace and glow Kate while providing the world with the first Royal Baby photos Tuesday. We heart her.

Kris Humphries to Portray Himself on The Mindy Project

Move over, Kim Kardashian . Your ex is also about to make a splash on the small screen. Only instead of getting naked and taking it from Ray J, Kris Humphries will be making a guest-starring appearance on an episode of The Mindy Project Season 2. According to TV Guide, the Boston Celtics power forward will play himself. It’s unclear what brings The Hump into Mindy’s world, although the sitcom’s title character does often reference television and pop culture. Last year, fellow NBA players Amar’e Stoudemire and Danny Granger also stopped by the series, showing up at a club Mindy and her colleagues frequented. This gig will mark Humphries’ first acting role, though many believe he was merely reading from a script every time he appeared on camera during his courtship of Kim. Kardashian, meanwhile, has appeared on Drop Dead Diva and How I Met Your Mother and also helps anchor the legendary Ray J sex tape .

Kate Middleton Gives Birth to Royal Baby: It’s a BOY!

The royal baby is here! The royal baby is here! After many weeks of keeping the masses waiting on pins and needles and keeping us guessing as to her due date, Kate Middleton has given birth. She and Prince William have welcomed a baby boy! A royal aide just announced the joyful news moments ago with a proclamation signed by the doctors who delivered the little HRH Prince of Cambridge! Well, not SO little. His weight (8 pounds, 6 ounces) and the time of its birth (4:24 p.m.) were confirmed, along with the gender, via press release. An official gun salute in London’s Hyde Park is expected shortly, and the bells of St Paul’s Cathedral are already ringing in honor of the future King. Ever since Kate went into labor early Monday morning, Royal Baby Watch 2013 reached a fever pitch outside London’s St. Mary’s Hospital and worldwide. Now that it’s over, it’s finally cause for celebration. Kate Middleton and Prince William did not find out the gender beforehand, setting off a national guessing game (and online betting frenzy) for months. They kept all facets of her pregnancy as private and low-key as possible. When Kate and William did finally arrive at the hospital this morning, they did it their way, with no fanfare, no sirens and not even a police escort. Just a dark Range Rover and a shiny new Audi nosing their way calmly through the traffic-free streets of London after dawn, cagily evading the media. William has been by his wife’s side all week as they moved from Kate’s parents house to Kensington Palace, just a mile from the hospital, last weekend. Queen Elizabeth II now has three living heirs: Prince Charles, her eldest son, William, his eldest son, and the first-born son of William and Kate. And, Her Majesty gets to go on holiday without missing this now. Phew! Charles said: “Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine.” “We are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy,” he adds. “We are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.” The official confirmation notice says very little, only that Kate was “safely delivered of a son” and she and the baby are doing well. Check it out: The succession rules were recently changed so that for the first time ever, Will and Kate’s first baby would become the heir(ess), regardless of gender. That was cool, but in the end, the traditionalists got their wish. Our heartfelt congratulations to Kate, William, their families and everyone in the UK on the most celebrated moment since Andy Murray won Wimbledon ! Just kidding. Although that was pretty cool to see, too. It is now hoped that the boy’s name might be announced as soon as tomorrow. Royal Baby Watch: Buzz Builds Outside Maternity Wing, But No Birth Yet

Royal Baby Watch 2013 is in full effect as Kate Middleton ‘s due date is upon us, but there’s no imminently arriving regal heir(ess) just yet. On the one hand, all the pomp and circumstance surrounding one 31-year-old about to give birth seems silly. On the other hand, why not celebrate it? It’s a rare celebrity gossip story that is 100 percent positive, as well as world history in the making, as Queen Elizabeth II will have a third living heir(ess). For the first time, the rules of ascension have changed so that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first-born will inherit the throne, regardless of gender. As for when the royal baby will arrive … it’s still anyone’s guess. As the world’s media gather on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, final preparations are underway on the scene – along with serious fun. And safety measures, of course. Friday morning, a “Specialist Search Team” inspected trash cans, plant pots and lampposts around the hospital in a royally thorough security sweep. “We are checking the surrounding area,” one search officer said. “It’s standard procedure when there is royalty due, and with what’s happening here.” “We have to take extra precaution.” In recent days, a hospital security guard has already taken up permanent residence on the steps of the main entrance to the hospital’s Lindo Wing. There, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to pose with their newborn baby soon after the birth, with other guards patrolling the area. Publicity stunts help add to the festive atmosphere, such as the arrival of three men dressed as giant babies wearing onesies and prosthetic masks. On the royal baby betting market , Alexandra and George are the current favorite names, while Diana is now at 10-1. Gender bets are fairly close. “It’s crazy,” says one staffer who witnessed media arrive two weeks ago. “But it’s fun coming to work and having a look and seeing everyone pose for pictures – they are a very popular couple, so it’s exciting for everyone!” What do you think William and Kate are having?
