Kate Middleton and Prince William’s new bundle of joy is set to hit the road with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on a spring 2014 royal baby tour . “The trip is planned for Australia and New Zealand,” an insider said. Kate Middleton , 31, is due to give birth to her first child with her husband July 11, but as she herself noted in April, “babies have their own agenda.” In any case, news of the birth will be revealed via a framed announcement placed on a wood and gold easel behind the gates of Buckingham Palace. “While it is a deeply personal and private event, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge realize this is a time of national celebration,” a spokesman said. “They realize that many people will want to share in their happiness.” You listening to that, Kim Kardashian ? Share some pics, already! Following the newborn’s arrival any day now, Prince William will take a two-week paternity leave before resuming his Royal Air Force duties. Kate Middleton and the baby, meanwhile, will shuttle between London and her parents’ home in Berkshire over the duration of the summer. Come September, the entire brood will move into Kensington Palace’s Apartment 1A, where the mom-to-be has been putting the finishing touches on a nursery. Counting down the days! The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, RAF rescue pilot and husband of Kate Middleton celebrates his birthday on the 2013 Summer Solstice . Happy birthday to father-to-be Prince William! It’s good to be the future king any day, no doubt. Being married to Kate Middleton alone would make that the case. But soon he’ll have an heir(ess)! The couple has not found out the gender of their impending arrival – due next month – but he or she will assume a place in history from day one. No pressure, kid. As for his any big plans today? William is reportedly laying low lately, with any birthday commemorations likely to involve only family and close friends. For good reason. Attending Prince Harry’s fundraising reception at NYC’s Four Seasons Restaurant on Tuesday, May 14, Miss USA Nana Meriwether gushed over the possibility of meeting — and falling in love — with the U.K. royal. Openly admitting to having a crush on Prince William’s little brother, Meriwether was pleased when she found out about Harry’s towering height from reporters. According to an Us Weekly insider, the 6-foot tall beauty pageant winner, 27, “giggled” when she was told that Harry, 28, is 6-foot-2 inches. “Perfect!” she announced. “We are meant to be! Miss USA is like royalty in America so it’ll be a pleasure to meet him.” Inquiring if Harry was officially single, she added, “It would make a great story — we should totally get married.” Unfortunately, Meriwether, a two-time All-American volleyball player and USC graduate student, didn’t have the chance to make a love connection. Harry, the guest of honor, was flocked by the crowd of 200, dashing Miss USA’s hopes for a romance. Moreover, Harry is reportedly dating dance student Cressida Bonas, 24, whom Harry was seen skiing with during a trip to Switzerland in February. Indeed, finding love couldn’t have been further away from Harry’s mind during the star-feted night, where Will.i.am and Sean Lennon were in attendance. While giving a speech on behalf of himself, William, and Kate Middleton, Harry thanked The American Friends of The Royal Foundation, which raised at least half a million dollars that’ll directly help “mentor and train our next generation of truly inspirational young sports coaches.” Earlier on Tuesday, Harry visited NYC’S Harlem neighborhood where he played baseball with underprivileged children and called the time there “truly uplifting.” Harry’s U.S. visit wraps up Wednesday, May 15, with a polo match in Greenwich, Conn. While July has long been the expected month of the birth of Prince William and Kate Middelton’s baby, we now have he first report of an exact day: July 13. The UK Mail on Sunday quoted an unnamed friend saying “Some of their closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the Royals recently.” “Kate and William and their friends were all discussing the fact that Kate’s baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone there was very excited.” If the baby cooperates, the birth would fall right in the middle of a four-day Coronation Festival marking the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. It would also lose gambling addicts a lot of money. Kate Middleton due date betting has been heaviest in the first week of July, according to reports. Mike Wallace on Jason Collins: Why Would a Guy Mess With Other Guys?!

Hours after Jason Collins came out as gay , NFL star Mike Wallace earned the distinction of penning the first moronic, borderline homophobic Tweet about it. In response to the NBA player’s admission to SI , Wallace wrote, “All these beautiful women in the world and guys wanna mess with other guys SMH (shakin’ my head).” Wallace quickly deleted his tweet and replaced it with an apology. “Never said that anything was right or wrong I just said I don’t understand!! Deeply sorry for anyone that I offended,” wrote the 26-year-old Dolphins receiver. A 12-year NBA veteran, Jason Collins is the first active player in major U.S. team sports to come out as gay. But not everyone was moved by the 34-year-old. According to Wallace, the dude is just missing out. Just think of all the bikini photos he could be ogling instead of shirtless guys! SMH, right Mike?! In Wallace’s slight defense, women’s bodies are more like art, while men’s bodies are for utility purposes, to borrow one of our favorite Seinfeld quotes . It is possible he didn’t mean to be critical, but either way, he’s a jackass for actually Tweeting that, as if one is “better” or Collins has any choice in the matter. Do you agree?

Captain Kirk and the presumptive “John Harrison” confront each other in the latest  Star Trek Into Darkness clip . The scene feels pretty important, so if you’re not into watching that kind of thing before going to the theater, maybe sit this one out. Star Trek Into Darkness Clip Benedict Cumberbatch In the clip, Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain character tells Kirk, played by Chris Pine that there are truths that he will uncover, giving him coordinates to the place he’ll find them. Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Alice Eve, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, and Bruce Greenwood also star in the sci-fi sequel. J.J. Abrams directs the film, which will be released on May 17.

The beautifully pregnant Kate Middleton is not moving in with her parents after giving birth this summer, despite rumors suggesting this scenario. While her preparations include stroller shopping and maintaining that ultra-chic maternity wardrobe, the Duchess is not changing addresses. Sources do say Kate will spend more time with her family once the royal heir(ess) is born. Middleton’s due date is mid-July ; the baby’s gender is unknown. Rumors are also swirling that Prince William and his wife, who mark their second anniversary today, are expecting a boy after purchasing a blue stroller. Sources say that may not be the case either, however. That particular color is actually more of a lilac than a blue, insiders say, and is also popular among those expecting a girl … or who choose to keep it a secret. So, who knows!
