Kate Middleton has officially stepped outside of her fashion comfort zone! In London Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge worked the red carpet at the BOA Olympic Concert dress in a stunning emerald Jenny Packham pleated gown. The design, which featured a low-cut neckline and a sheer, lace back, is accented with a crystal-adorned ribbon that cinched the royal’s waist. Take a look: The 30-year-old fashion icon paired the breathtaking dress with Jimmy Choo “Vamp” platform glitter sandals and a matching Jenny Packham bespoke clutch. The more-revealing-than-normal number wasn’t her only new look this week. Kate Middleton’s dress earlier this week turned heads due to its slit up the leg. Kate, who arrived hand-in-hand with her husband Prince William, wore her hair in an elaborate braided chignon that ensured the dress’ sheer back was on display. ‘We’re both kids at heart,’ he says of working with his superstar wife on a family-friendly animated project. The proud parents of Dem Babies are hooking up for a spankin’-new endeavor that will focus on family. While the details of the venture are slim, Cannon shared that it will certainly pay homage to their year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe . “Yeah we actually got some stuff in development that we’re working on, some animated stuff that her and I are putting together,” he told MTV News. “So you’ll definitely see her in that space too. Oh yeah, it’s just something that we both enjoy, and even more so than that, we’re both kids at heart. So we love those types of stories and fantasy/fairytale type of stuff.” Before Cannon explores fairytales with Carey, he serves as the executive producer on the forthcoming Nickelodeon flick, “Rags,” a hip take on Cinderella, complete with gender role reversals. It features Nick stars Keke Palmer, Max Schneider and Drake Bell. The network chairman explains that you should expect more and more family-friendly programming influenced by his own real-life role as dad. “I mean it’s one of those things where a lot of the stuff I’m going to be doing in the near future is going to be really family-driven just because of the fact being a father and wanting to be able to provide content for my kids,” he said. “So it works out really good. It makes you proud when you can have some work that your kids can go see.” In addition to “Rags” and his untitled project with Carey, Cannon just signed on to make his directorial debut with “School Dance,” which will follow in the vein of “Friday” and “House Party.” Variety reports it will revolve around a teen who wants to join the coolest dance clique in school, though he fears his stage fright will prevent him from passing initiation. ‘She’s truly bleeding for other people,’ ‘Snow White and the Hunstman’ star says on ‘MTV First’ about her character. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart on “MTV First: Snow White and the Huntsman” Photo: MTV News Kristen Stewart puts her inner action star on full display as the butt-kicking Snow White in “Snow White and the Huntsman.” But, it’s her vulnerability that Stewart related to most with the chainmail-wearing princess. “I think that I related to Snowy because … I love her,” she laughed to MTV News during “MTV First: Snow White and the Hunstman” on Tuesday night. “She feels such strong things and sort of can’t say exactly why she feels those things … and I can completely relate to that and I also can relate to feeling arrogant about it a little bit. Sort of like ‘It’s not about being who you are; it’s sort of not saying what everyone thinks I’m going to say because I’m uncomfortable’ … She’s like very instinctive and sort of awesome in that way.” Having already brought to life one literary heroine playing “Twilight” leading lady Bella Swan, she explained that she didn’t feel pressure to have to tackle Snow White, mostly because there was enough room for her to interrupt the character the way she felt was natural. “I mean she’s such a child in the beginning and has such a strong sense of self in a way that sort of isn’t normal, like supernaturally almost,” she said. “She’s got this connection to the Earth and to her people that makes her like so truly empathetic and not sympathetic. “She’s not putting herself in a position and going, ‘Oh, how horrible would that be for me.’ She’s truly bleeding for other people,” she said. “It’s a different feeling. It’s something I want to get to if I can be a better person. She’s a great girl. Move over, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon . LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian marked a year of wedded bliss by renewing their vows this week as well. LeAnn and Eddie got married April 22 of last year. Friday, they took a romantic trip to Calabasas, Calif., where they decided to exchange I-dos once more. “We renewed our vows today….it’s incredible to thank each other for the past year as husband and wife,” Rimes tweeted. “Here’s to another great year!” LeAnn and Eddie, who were married to Dean Sheremet and Brandi Glanvllle , respectively, when they first got together, have come a long way since then. Weathering a storm of criticism, they’ve settled into their new life nicely. The pair spent time relaxing near the ocean, with Rimes tweeting, “CHILLING….listening to Radiohead and enjoying the view… man and beach :).” Saturday, the Twitter-loving country singer said, “Eddie and I went climbing on the rocks in the ocean yesterday to see the thousands of crabs. I did not realize til now just how dab I kicked a rock with two of my toes…OUCH.” Ouch indeed … but at least true love heals all woulds, or something. Prince William and Kate Middleton will mark their first wedding anniversary April 29, but don’t expect them to be announcing any baby news then. As Kate Middleton pregnancy rumors run rampant, again, an insider close to the couple confirms that the Duchess is not expecting a bundle of joy. “Kate is not pregnant or about to make a pregnancy announcement,” the royal insider explained of Middleton, who has been dogged by this for a year. The most significant round of pregnancy rumors surfaced back in November when she refused peanut paste on a visit to Denmark. Turns out she was not pregnant. Though there isn’t any baby news , the royal couple does have something to celebrate. William is back from his six-week deployment off the coast of Argentina. Shortly after Wills reunited with his bride, the duo headed off with her parents, Carole and Michael, and her siblings, James and Pippa Middleton , for a ski trip. Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are headed back to the balcony that saw the kiss seen ’round the world. When they stepped out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace last April 29 as husband and wife and kissed for the first time, it was a magic moment. Soon, the royals are set to return to that location in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee anniversary marking her 60-year reign, on June 5. Royal Wedding Kiss and Highlights Prior, the family will attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral followed by two receptions, a lunch at Westminster Hall and a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace. Somehow we doubt William and Kate will upstage his grandmother with another kiss, but the royal wedding was a day many in the UK will remember. Taking the moment up a notch, after the much-anticipated public display of affection, a Royal Air Force flyover took to the skies to seal the spectacle. The Queen at least deserves that.
After seven weeks, Prince William returned safely from military duty in the remote Falkland Islands this morning. He and Kate Middleton are reunited! Early Wednesday, William, 29, arrived home with the rest of his Royal Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter crew. Kate, 30, met him at the airbase. Said an official statement released to the media: “The Duke of Cambridge returned to the U.K. this morning following completion of [his] operational deployment in the Falkland Islands. He will now have a brief period of leave before resuming Search and Rescue duties from RAF Valley shortly.” Now that they’re back together, Kate Middleton and Prince William will be at their cottage at Kensington Palace. He will also see members of his family. It is anticipated that William will have a few days off, which the pair “will spend privately,” a spokesman says. Kate, whose profile has increased significantly in recent weeks, is not expected to be undertaking any public engagements. Kate gave her first public speech at a hospice center this week.
