The American Idol judging carousel has now stopped at Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams. Following the rumor that Brad Paisley was under serious consideration to join this panel on Season 12, Us Weekly has now presented fans with a new scenario: Randy Jackson will be moved to mentoring status and both these young artists will slide in next to Mariah Carey behind the critical desk. “Nick is pretty close to signing to be the Idol judge,” one insider says of Jonas . “They flew him in to L.A. last week for final meetings.” Jonas, of course, is very good friends with new X Factor star Demi Lovato. He even played a duet with Lovato during a concert in Los Angeles this month. Producers reportedly think Nick and Pharrell – who has produced hits for Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani – can bring a younger demographic to Idol . We had no idea the demographic had grown above 14. Which of these two options would have you more excited to tune in next year?

The London Olympics are great for so many reasons, most pertaining to the incredible athletic competition among a moving cross-section of humanity. The deluge of Kate Middleton pictures is also great. The unofficial face of the host nation is setting even more fashion trends than usual this week. Her latest? A cute, blue Smythe Navy One Button Blazer! Kate wore the item at the Cross Country Equestrian event – where Prince William’s cousin Zara Phillips actually competed for Great Britain – Monday (above). Kate Middleton fashion followers may recall that she also was seen in this same blazer at Heathrow airport and on her trip to Canada in Summer 2011. Clearly it works for her … as if anything doesn’t. In this edition of How The Jackson World Turns… TJ Jackson, the nephew of Michael Jackson, has been named by a court as the temporary guardian of MJ’s three kids, Paris, Prince and Blanket. The legal maneuver was necessary because Katherine Jackson – who has served in this capacity for the past three years – has been out of contact with the children for over 10 days now, since a few of her kids took her away to Arizona. “This is not a power play by TJ Jackson,” L.A. Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff said at an emergency hearing. “This is based on the allegation that Katherine Jackson is being prevented from acting as guardian.” Katherine’s attorney was also present and said there’s “reason to believe” her client is “being held against her will.” But that is supposedly changing now, as Randy Jackson appeared today on Good Morning America and said his mother is on her way back to California. It appears as though Randy’s scheme – to convince his mom to challenge the authenticity of Michael’s will because he’s upset it does not name him or any siblings as benefactors – has fallen apart and he is being forced to cave in to public pressure. Last night, Marlon Jackson broke down during an interview, pleading to learn the whereabouts of his mother.

An all out war at the Jackson family home.. Chaos In The Jackson Household Reaches It’s Peak As the drama heats up in the Jackson household, big cousin TJ, who was recently revealed as Kim Kardashian’s first love , (Tito’s son) wants to step in and come to the rescue of his three little cousins that are caught in the middle of it all. via TMZ It was all out war at Katherine Jackson’s house in Calabasas Monday … complete with slapping and punching … TMZ has learned. We now have details about the incident. Sources who were there say two SUVs with Randy, Jermaine and Janet inside, followed a car driving Michael Jackson’s 3 kids inside the gates. We’re told Randy, Jermaine and Janet did not have authority to enter. Once on the grounds, we’re told MJ’s 3 siblings tried to strong-arm Paris, Prince and Blanket. Their mission was to get them in an SUV and take them to Arizona, where Katherine has been staying. Our sources say at one point Janet tried to grab a resistant Paris’ cell phone, a scuffle ensued and Janet slapped the teenager, screaming, “You’re a spoiled little bitch!” We’re told Paris fired back with her own slap and told Janet, “This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f**k out!” At the same time, we’re told Trent Jackson, who was at the house, tried to stop an aggressive Randy and Jermaine. We’re told Trent put Randy in a headlock and punched Jermaine in the mouth. Tito Joe Jackson, aka TJ, the 34-year-old son of Michael Jackson’s brother Tito, is having his lawyer draft legal docs in a bid to become temporary guardian of MJ’s 3 kids … TMZ has learned. People familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Paris, Prince and Blanket all want TJ to be their guardian because they believe Katherine — their current guardian — has effectively been kidnapped by MJ’s siblings. The kids haven’t seen Katherine in 9 days. Under California law, a judge would not grant a temporary guardian for teenagers unless the kids were on board with the selection, and we’re told all 3 kids are down with it. We’re told TJ has often acted like a parent to the kids and they love him. Talk about a family feud! It sounds like the best place for MJ’s kids just might be with cousin TJ. The Jackson family saga is growing more sad, disturbing and confounding by the day. Here’s the latest: In the wake of Katherine Jackson losing contact with her grandkids – Paris, Prince and Blanket – TJ Jackson, the son of Michael’s brother Tito, is pushing to become the children’s temporary legal guardian. TMZ reports his attorney is actively drawing up the paperwork now. Katherine has been serving as the trio’s guardian since Michael Jackson passed away, but sources close to the family believe she’s being held against her will by MJ’s siblings in Arizona. She has not seen her grandchildren in nine days. Insiders tell TMZ that all three children are in favor of TJ taking over guardian duties. He’s reportedly very close to his niece and nephews. “I know it’s completely unfair for them to do this to you and your brothers. We will keep trying. I love you,” TJ Tweeted to Paris last night. Tension continues to rise within the Jackson clan because Michael only left money to his foundation and his children in his will. Moreover, there have been accusations that Katherine is being treated unfairly by the will’s executors. Police were called to the family home in California yesterday over some kind of domestic dispute. No arrests were made, but photos later surfaced of Janet and Jermaine Jackson in a heated discussion. Finally, in case this wasn’t all strange enough, there’s this: TJ Jackson went to the prom with Kim Kardashian .

Unlike the photoshopped image of Middleton with yellow teeth , an Australian magazine called Woman’s Day has published an image of Kate and Prince William on their honeymoon on North Island, a tiny archipelago in the Seychelles. It’s unclear how a paparazzi member sneaked on to the tropical paradise, as it’s rumored to be home to more tortoises than people. But one insider said the shutter bug likely earned an enormous payday for the pic. “Any shot of them on their honeymoon was going to go for at least half a million but because Kate is in a bikini I would estimate that this is a million dollar shot,” celebrity business journalist Jo Piazza told Yahoo! Shine. It’s true. For all the Kate Middleton fashion trends out there, best of luck trying to find another photo of the would-be-queen in a bathing suit. Sources say the royal couple is “distraught” over the leaking of the picture, as they went to great lengths to keep the honeymoon destination a secret from the press. Reports say that coast guard patrolmen and security teams were even stationed around the bungalow in which Kate and William stayed. Clearly, someone either messed up or was in on the tabloid scoop, however. Over a dozen additional images of Middleton and her prince swimming and strolling are featured inside the issue.
