Modern Dads, which premiered last night after another highly-rated episode of Duck Dynasty on A&E, is like its lead-in in many respects. It’s obviously family-oriented, comedic but heartwarming, relatable but slightly over the top, and in the gray area between scripted and reality. But does that make it a watchable show? Modern Dads Clip – Princess Party The four guys take good care of their children, to be sure, and don’t recoil in abject terror at the sight of things like dirty diapers, a la bad sitcoms. There are tons of moments on Modern Dads , like in life, where all you can do is shake your head, laugh or nod in a “been there” kind of way. Yet one can’t help but wonder if it would be better as an actual reality show, not just a comedic insight into the lives of men taking on “mom” roles. For many families, both parents play equal, or at least major, roles getting their kids to daycare or school on time, making dinner, and working. Both parents pitching in is not a novelty, but a necessity in tough economic times – something the folks on this show don’t have to worry about. So in that sense, this quartet of stay-at-home Modern Dads , ironically, may actually not be as representative of modern life as the title implies. That said, despite the obviously scripted talking heads and attempts to borrow from Modern Family , you have to give the dads credit where due. They’re not capturing the big picture in some transcendent behind-the-scenes look at parenting or family structures. But they do seem like good parents! Did you watch Modern Dads? And do you agree? A new theory of conspiracy in the death of Princess Diana in 1997 has royal family watchers buzzing once again, but is there any merit to it at all? Princess Diana Death Conspiracy Theory Fourteen years after she would’ve seen her son wed Kate Middleton and 16 years after she would have welcomed a Royal Baby grandson, Diana’s death still fascinates. The new conspiracy theory? That someone in the military was behind the tragedy. Officials seem to be already knocking down the claim, however, denying the British military was involved in the deaths of Diana, her boyfriend and driver. “This is not a re-investigation,” London police tersely stressed in a statement. The story appears to have been sent to military authorities and London police. The parents-in-law of a British special forces sniper whose marriage had fallen apart, according to an article in the Sunday People newspaper, made the claim: A handwritten letter by the in-laws alleges that the soldier boasted to his wife that the elite British Special Air Service commando unit was behind the deaths. Military authorities have been aware of the claim since a 2011 court-martial of the soldier’s former roommate on weapons charges, the paper reported. The unnamed soldier mentioned in the letter was a witness in that case. Neither the Sunday People piece nor an earlier version carried by Press Association offered details of the claimed involvement by soldiers in the deaths. Diana, 36, and Dodi Fayed, her 42-year-old boyfriend, died when the Mercedes they were traveling in hit a pillar in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris. They were being followed at the time by paparazzi after leaving the Ritz Hotel. Their driver, Henri Paul, also killed, was drunk and driving at high speed. Bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones was the sole survivor. The princess left behind her two children, Prince William, whose wife Kate recently gave birth to Diana’s first grandchild George, and Prince Harry. A British coroner’s inquest in 2008 concluded that their deaths were the result of “grossly negligent driving of the following vehicles and of the Mercedes.” The inquest found no evidence of murder, yet conspiracy theories accusing intelligence services and/or members of British royalty of orchestrating it have been a constant. Prince Diana remains wildly popular in death, and news of the new claim sparked an immediate surge in discussion of her death on celebrity gossip sites and social media. But many seemed skeptical, and it’s unclear if the allegations will make it any farther than previous claims have. London police certainly aren’t taking it seriously. The U.K.’s Ministry of Defense said “this is for Metropolitan Police to investigate.” “Not Prepared to Discuss Further,” Scotland Yard said in its own statement.

Much like the JFK assassination, people remember where they were when they heard Princess Diana had died. She was, and remains, one of the most recognizable women in the world. When Prince George, aka the Royal Baby , was born, talk returned to Diana and her legacy. Nearing the 16th anniversary of her death, a new film is coming out that focuses on a very brief moment in the Princess’ life but one the filmmakers believe to be a pivotal one. Diana Movie Trailer Directed by Oliver Hirshbiegel, who is known most well for his film, Downfall , which provided the scene for the very popular “Hitler Reacts To” meme, Diana tells the story of the love affair between Diana (Naomi Watts) and Dr. Hasnat Kahn (Naveen Andrews). While it, of course, garnered plenty of paparazzi attention, the affair is not as well remembered as others including the ill-fated Dodi Fayed. Diana is set to open in the UK on September 20th, no US date has been set as of yet.

A healthy eight-pound, six-ounce boy born at 4:24 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital in London today doesn’t even have a name yet, but he needs no introduction. He’s the Royal Baby, people. Wanna feel especially old, THGers? Consider the following: Kevin Jonas is expecting his first child! The former boy band member confirmed this pregnancy via E! News, telling the network on which he and wife Danielle star: “I was overjoyed. It’s been the most exciting thing in my life so far.” Jonas added that he’s “nervous,” which is to be expected. Kevin married Danielle Deleasa in December 2009 at the young age of 22. The couple took a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas and stayed off the celebrity gossip radar for a couple years. They eventually agree to the anchor Married to Jonas on E!, which chronicles their lives as Kevin works on recording a new album with his siblings. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may not be back together , but they apparently are collaborating on the latest new single. Sort of. With Selena’s new album , “Stars Dance,” going on sale in two weeks, the track “Love Will Remember” leaked online today – and it appears to be kicked off by a voicemail left for Gomez by Bieber. Selena Gomez – “Love Will Remember” “Hey babe, it’s me,” the recording says. “I just want to call and tell you that I love you so, so, so, so much. I just wanted to let you know that you are my princess. You are worthy of all the love in the world. You are the love of my life.” Selena has already admitted the track is about her ex, which is made rather obvious when one listens to the kind of lyrics that would make Taylor Swift proud. Selena sings about a love lost and a special romance, telling InStyle in May of the single: “That’s the most personal track on the record, for sure… It’s not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting. I’m sure he’ll [Justin] love it too.” But will he love his personal words to his then-girlfriend being exposed to the world in such a manner?
