T.I. to Celebrate Freedom With Welcome Home … Brunch

T.I. is coming home at last, and ready to throw it down fo sho. But the recently-released rapper, now serving out the remainder of his prison term in a halfway house , isn’t throwing himself a nightclub bash a la Lil Wayne. He’s having a $100,000 welcome-home brunch in Atlanta! T.I. and Tiny: Soon to be reunited! T.I.’s friend Diddy is personally shipping in 150 bottles of Ciroc, ONE FOR EACH PERSON in attendance. Hey, gotta welcome the man back to society in style. Additionally, reps from AKOO, T.I.’s clothing line, sales of which have spiked since his incarceration, will measure the VIP guests for custom-made clothing gifts. It’s set for October 2, two days after T.I. gets out of the halfway house. Hopefully he takes a cab instead of a pimp-ass tour bus . You know how that can turn out.

UsWeekly Magazine announced the winners of their Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2011 competition. And among them were Lala Vazquez and her hubby Carmelo Anthony, super-producer Pharrell, singers Ashanti and Estelle, actress Taraji P. Henson and the entire band The Roots. Here’s what they had to say about their style: Ashanti: “Being on stage, I used to feel more comfortable with jeans, boots and a top. But now it’s nice to show the legs a little bit. Especially if I’m going to the gym, I might as well show it!” Estelle: “I love by legs and my boobs. I love my arms. I’m an equal opportunity lover of my entire body. I’m not egotistical about it. I put it all out there.” Taraji P. Henson: “People that dress me call me a paper doll, because I’m open to everything. I like to have fun!” Pharrell: “I prize all of my clothes in the same way because they’re each different modes of expression. Trying to choose a favorite is like asking what part of your vernacular is worth more than the other. T.I. Released From Prison, Sent Back To Halfway House

T.I. has finally returned to a halfway house to complete his prison sentence. The ATL rapper was originally yanked out of the halfway house last week and returned to prison for allegedly engaging in talks with producers for his reality show on his tour bus. T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, told TMZ, “We have good reason to believe that this favorable result was reached because of the proactive and assertive approach taken to protect T.I.’s rights by providing B.O.P. officials and the media with reliable and accurate information and that T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other B.O.P. rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta.” The lawyer also added that, “T.I. will be released from custody on Sept. 29, and then will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for a period of 1 year.” SOURCE: Hip Hop Wired RELATED POSTS: 2 Unauthorized People On T.I.’s Luxury Bus [REPORT] Tiny On T.I. DVD Review: Women in Prison Triple Feature

This week Mr. Skin and Synapse Films released the Women in Prison Triple Feature DVD, featuring three wet n’ wild women in prison flicks: Chained Heat (1983), Red Heat (1985), and Jungle Warriors (1984). With this nude DVD release, WIP fans can skinjoy all the skincarcerated T&A in much better quality, as the video transfer on all three films is noticeably improved from previous releases. Fans will also be slappy to hear that Chained Heat is presented in its skintirety for the first time since its theatrical run- a scene where Linda Blair is raped by John Vernon (aka Dean Wormer from Animal House ) is restored for the first time on VHS or DVD. The Women in Prison Triple Feature also comes loaded with trailers, interviews with stars Stella Stevens and Sybil Danning, and video introductions by our own Mr. Skin, who rubs down the key skingredients to each film. Cassie is still succeeding as a model while she works on her upcoming album. She recently posed for photographer duo Gomillion and Leupold for the August 2011 issue of Blank magazine – we’ve never heard of it, but the pics look amazing! Classic cars and yards serve as a backdrop to Cassie’s big hair and colorful outfits. Who are your biggest musical influences? I have so many influences musically. My parents always played music in the house when I was growing up in CT. The music they played ranged from Parliament Funkadelic to Carol King to Stevie Wonder. As an artist I think that the music you’re exposed to when your young influences the music you choose to create. I also went through a Jimi Hendrix phase, it was interesting. I used to listen to him on my dads old 8-track player. I was in love with Janet Jackson and of course Aaliyah. Who would you like to work with someday? Prince would be amazing. Isn’t that everyone’s answer to that? We heard you’re working on a new album. Can you give us a sneak peak? Its top secret! (smiles) I’m going to let the music speak for itself. The one thing I will say is I love it. Would you ever consider acting or being on TV? I’ve done a few things. I would love to act more; film is ideal for me. Its something I want to devote more time to – for sure. I would love to work with David Fincher or Oliver Stone. What would you be doing today if you hadn’t become a performer? DMX has earned himself a longer stay in prison. The Yonkers MC was caught sneaking drugs into Yuma state prison and that is only one incident. Law enforcement officials tells TMZ , DMX broke several rules in Yuma state prison since January. Not only was he caught with drugs but DMX failed and refused to take a drug test, smoking when he wasn’t supposed to, being disrespectful, disruptive, and disorderly. In the second part to the exclusive interview from jail, X says “I don’t like Drake,it’s nothing that he did to me, He actually is talented. Fast forward three years later, and at the beginning of Season 7 Nancy seems to have taken to prison life like a duck to water- or maybe like a lesbian to an Indigo Girls concert, as shown by her Sapphic snogging scene with “roommate” Zoya ( Olga Sosnovska ).
