Gucci Mane Released From Jail According to TMZ Rapper Gucci Mane has just been released from jail in Georgia after spending nearly three weeks behind bars, TMZ has learned. As we reported, Gucci was arrested April 13th for a probation violation. He’s been in jail since. Gucci’s attorney, Drew Findling, tells us, the probation violation was triggered by a March 25th incident at an Atlanta nightclub … when Gucci allegedly bottled a clubgoer in the head, causing a massive gash. Gucci was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. That case is still pending. He’s due in court later this month. Rappers and handcuffs go together like PB&J…SMH Lil Scrappy Turns Himself Into Police Over Refused Court-Ordered Urine Test According to TMZ reports : Lil Scrappy is a lil’ jailbird — the rapper-slash-reality star turned himself in to an ATL jail this morning after cops say he refused to submit to a court-ordered urine test … TMZ has learned. We broke the story … officials say Scrappy violated his probation back in March after a dispute over a pee test. According to court officials, Scrappy tried to turn in a urine sample that was cold to the touch and may have been tampered with … and when asked to submit another cup, he refused. The court eventually issued a warrant for his arrest … and moments ago, the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star turned himself in. On way into the pokey, Scrap was photographed saying farewell to his fiancee Erica Dixon (seen above, holding hands) and his mother, Momma Dee … who was already sporting a “Free Scrappy” shirt. Naturally, the VH1 cameras captured the dramatic moment on tape. Mama Dee wastes NO time. God bless her weary, slightly delusional, soul. People sure get creative when it comes to trying to pass drug tests … According to CBS News St. Louis: A Lake St. Louis man accused of using a prosthetic peen to try to pass a drug test is facing criminal charges. According to police, 34 year-old Sydney Levin was submitting a urine sample last week as part of his probation when an officer allegedly spotted him using a prosthetic peen, known as a Whizzinator. The prosthetic is advertised as a discreet device way to use someone else’s urine. Levin was charged with possessing a forging instrument. He was arrested and released after posting $25,000 bond. He pleaded not guilty Monday. Levin was on probation for possession of a controlled substance and felony stealing in 2009. SMH. Folks will never learn, huh?? Even after the shady owner of the “Whizzinator” company was sent to federal prison for selling an item that helps men cheat on drug tests.

Yet the R&B stars may have been the night’s top story. The singers spent the entire night cozying up to each other in the audience, as CBS cameras frequently went to the controversial couple for reaction shots. It was a very public display of affection and a signal to the world that Chris Brown and Rihanna are back together, no matter what you might think of it. As expected, viewer reactions were mixed, and heated. On the eve of the ’09 Grammys, Brown shocked the industry and world when he assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna, whose bruised face became a tabloid fixture. Four years is a long time, but it was still amazing to see Rihanna, decked out in a red dress and smiling ear to ear, photographed leaning her head on Brown. All night long. Think she’s trying to make a point or something? This actually wasn’t their most shocking appearance in tandem this month. Rihanna stuck by her man and showed up in court with him last week. Brown is accused of violating his probation by submitting false community service records … in connection with his sentence for assaulting Rihanna. Yet there she was in court, by his side. In a recent interview, Rihanna said dating Brown makes her happy and “if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake .” Think we’re getting the picture, even if it’s a very polarizing one. Chris Brown showed up to a court appearance in Los Angeles on issues related to his probation Wednesday evening with pop star Rihanna by his side. Brown was in court to face accusations that he violated his probation by submitting false community service records in connection with his sentence for assaulting Rihanna in 2009. At the hearing, Superior Court Judge James Brandlin asked for additional reports and set a new hearing date of April 5. Mark Geragos, a lawyer for Brown, told KABC that Brown “didn’t violate anything.” Geragos said the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office “should be ashamed of themselves [because] they besmirched the reputation of Chris Brown based on no evidence.” Brown, by prior agreement, has been completing his community service obligation in his home state of Virgina, but the L.A. County District Attorney claimed in legal documents, posted by the Los Angeles Times, that Brown may have faked his community service work and that documentation of his hours were, “at best sloppy, and at worst fraudulent reporting.” ABC ilp
Judge Stephanie Sautner just could not help herself. After seeing Lindsay Lohan roll into court this morning after initially calling in sick , then changing her mind at the last second, she had to get a dig in. “I’m glad to see you’re feeling better,” Sautner said. Sautner was referring to the BS note her lawyer sent, claiming LiLo had an upper respiratory infection and could not fly from NYC to LA for court. After TMZ busted Lindsay smoking, she apparently got wind of the celebrity news site’s story and decided to high-tail it to LA last night after all. This absurdity wasn’t lost on Sautner , obviously. Lindsay, who faces charges of lying to police after her summer car crash, also faces possible jail time for violating her probation. It’s not looking good. She officially cut ties with attorney Shawn Holley and put her fate in the hands of NYC attorney Mark Heller, who arrived to court to rep her today. Sautner asked if she was comfortable with the change; Lindsay, who fired Holley for unknown reasons earlier this month, reluctantly said it was. After Sautner gave Heller permission to rep LiLo, he then tried to charm the judge, telling her they had a NYC connection since she was once a Big Apple detective. The judge noted that flattery would get him nowhere fast. BURN! Sautner also reiterated that Lindsay could eventually be found not guilty in the lying case, but her probation (for her jewelry theft conviction) could still be revoked. The standard of proof is lower for probation violations than for the crimes themselves, so she could be staring at a whole mess of jail time either way. Her next hearing is scheduled for March 1. At least Lindsay Lohan looked good, rocking a SEXY blue Chanel dress to court today along with Celine shades and a pair of Louboutins on her feet. This is a girl who’s broke. Just saying. Lindsay Lohan is not interested in any plea bargain. She’s innocent, people! Can’t you understand that? According to TMZ, despite the fact that the prosecutor in her car crash case was willing to deal and allow her to avoid jail time, she won’t plea bargain , period. The latest chapter in this bizarre saga unfolded last week, when her attorney Shawn Holley was on her way to court to negotiate a deal on her behalf. Holley was then fired unceremoniously by Lohan. Prosecutors were apparently willing to let LiLo plead no contest and agree to six months of “lockdown rehab” (read: no jail time), but the star is not interested. Holley entered a plea of not guilty and a trial date was set for this winter. Whoever reps Lindsay now (tough to keep track) could presumably still take the deal. Lohan just isn’t having it, though. As usual, the 26-year-old actress doesn’t think she did anything wrong and refuses to plead guilty or no contest to a crime she says she didn’t commit. She told cops she was a passenger in the Porsche she crashed when there’s overwhelming evidence she was driving, so proving her innocence could be tough. If Lindsay is found guilty, she could face up to 19 months in jail. That’s not including the probation violation she faces, which could subject her to eight months in jail . There’s still a possibility that she will come to her senses before trial, and/or that she will pull a legal rabbit out of her hat and beat the rap once again. Lindsay Lohan just dodged another legal bullet. After firing Shawn Holley, her longtime lawyer nevertheless showed up and entered a plea for her in court. Had Holley bailed, after being dismissed a day earlier, a warrant would likely have been issued for Lohan’s arrest. She’s playing with fire, that’s for sure. Linds faces a probation violation, charges of lying to law enforcement and – 3,000 miles away – a separate case in which she was arrested for punching some chick . She’s lookin’ at up to eight months for the probation violation alone, criminal counts aside. Which begs the question: Will she be behind bars at some point this year? Girl’s been a wizard at wriggling out of these things, but she’s getting more and more out of control , and the sheer volume of legal woes will be tough to surmount.
