Doug And Jackie Christie Are Moving From Freaky “Adult Films” To Producing A Reality Show With Actor Christian Keyes

Is this the beginning of the Christie media empire??? Well this was not something we expected. Basketball Wives L.A. stars Jackie and Doug Christie have gotten into the game of producing their own TV show, as well as producing an adult film. First up is a TV show called Cali Boys, which is a reality show that focuses on making it in Hollywood. Jackie says about the show “The show will open the lives of the cast members up to the viewer in a no holds bar fashion and allow the viewer to accompany them on their journeys, which I’m honored to be a part of. And helping them all to realize their dreams.” She will co-produce with her husband as well as with actor Christian Keyes. The second project they’re working on as producers is an adult film. Jackie told radio host Ricky Smiley this week “I’m producing an adult film, me and my husband Doug. We’re executive producing.” No word on what it will be called, but now we totally understand how they manage to keep their sixteen-year marriage spicy. The Sacramento Bee reports that though Jackie called her project “an adult film,” it will actually be a mini-series about sexual intimacy. She says “It has adult content, and it definitely will have some surprises. It is for mature audiences, and yes, it will have nekkidness (ed.). But it will have a message, plots, and relate to real issues.” She says she and Doug chose to do this because it’s a passion project. “It’s one of the things on our bucket list. We wanted to help other couples, and while this is a very personal part of our relationship, this is an area where a lot of couples have problems. We also think this can help them with their communication.” Play on playas, milk your strange and emasculated relationship for all that it’s worth… Images via WENN Source More On Bossip! ‘Bill And Ted 3’ Will Explore ‘Rock’ History, Alex Winter Says

‘We’re happy with what we wrote,’ Winter tells MTV News, confirming that he and Keanu Reeves reprised their characters while developing the script. By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Alex Winter Photo: MTV News God gave rock and roll to you, and if you’re lucky, he’ll give you a brand new “Bill and Ted” adventure as well! That’s the plan, at least, according to one half of the dimwitted duo: Alex Winter, who starred as Bill Preston Esq. in both “Excellent Adventure” and “Bogus Journey,” isn’t just hoping for a “Bill and Ted” reunion, he’s getting close to making it actually happen. “I think the reality is that there probably will be another one,” Winter told MTV News during a recent interview. Indeed, Winter and co-star Keanu Reeves both recently confirmed that a third “Bill and Ted” script is finished (and totally excellent). Of course, given how long it’s taken to get the third movie off the ground — “Bogus Journey,” their last appearance, hit theaters in 1991 — arriving at a universally agreed-upon idea wasn’t an exact science. “We just kicked ideas around [over the years] and eventually, we kicked one idea around that clicked,” Winter said. “It felt timely. Funnily enough, it felt better because so much time had gone by. What would it be like to revisit those guys now? From a comedy standpoint, it felt kind of cool to revisit two galvanized comic characters a chunk of time later, [exploring] what you can do with that from a comedy perspective.” Though much time has passed between the last “Bill and Ted” and now, Winter admitted that it’s “very possible” that Bill and Ted themselves, despite their age, haven’t grown up with the times — though he would neither confirm nor deny their current maturity level. What he would say, however, is that the next “Bill and Ted” adventure would focus heavily on the rock and roll spirit that’s always been present in the franchise. “What’s happened to rock and roll in the last 20 years? The movie’s going to get in and play with some of that stuff,” he said. “Where is rock? Where are we? What’s happened to the whole idea of saving the world — or what hasn’t happened? There’s a lot to play with there.” There’s so much to play with, in fact, that Winter and Reeves both slipped into character on more than one occasion while developing the new “Bill and Ted” script. “Yes, we did. It’s really sad how easy it was [to get back into character],” he laughed. “You go away and do all this other stuff and go, ‘I’m not Bill, that’s absurd!’ … And then me and Reeves got together, and suddenly we’re the characters again. We didn’t even mean to. We just started riffing on it. When we were doing notes and me and Reeves started riffing on the dialogue, it’s just, oh my god. Yeah, it’s in there. God knows.” “Bill and Ted 3,” which has a title that Winter won’t reveal just yet (“But it’ll say it all,” he promised), still has obstacles in the way. No, there are no Evil Us’s to consider, but the script does not yet have a green-light. According to Winter, though, he’s more than happy with the project as it stands, even if it never makes it to the big screen. “It’s something we think is a very fun thing. We had a lot of fun developing it, and the guys are amazing writers,” Winter said of working with longtime “Bill and Ted” writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. “We had a lot of fun with the script. We’re happy with where it’s at now. If it goes forward, great. If it doesn’t, we’re happy with what they wrote and what we came up with.” Tell us what you think of the most excellent “Bill and Ted” news in the comments section!

Snooki Shoots To Top Of List Of Pregnant Reality Stars

Kourtney Kardashian, Tori Spelling and Rachel Zoe have been with child on TV, but Snooki’s onscreen pregnancy should be unlike any other. By Gil Kaufman Snooki Photo: MTV There are whole reality genres devoted to chronicling the ups and downs of pregnancy. And plenty of stars have allowed cameras into their homes to mark the months as they wait for the blessed event. But none of them were “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. On Wednesday (March 7), pint-sized, fist-pumping self-proclaimed “meatball” Snooki confirmed to MTV News that she is pregnant with her first child and engaged to boyfriend Jionni LaValle. Sure, you expect to see the trials and tribulations of young women dealing with baby bumps on shows like, duh, “16 and Pregnant.” But given the popularity of “Shore” and the upcoming spin-off Snooki will star in with “Shore” pal JWoww, chances are we’ve never seen anything like this before. So we decided to see how Snooks stacks up against other expectant reality-show ladies who’ve shared their joy with us onscreen. Kourtney Kardashian : The Kardashians are not known for their shy, retiring nature. From letting us into their bedrooms, weddings and subsequent bust-ups, they have shared it all. The star of no fewer than three family-focused features, Kourtney publicly agonized over whether to keep her first baby, Mason, born in December 2009. She’s since fully embraced being a preggo TV mom and is currently in the midst of her second onscreen baby watch. Rachel Zoe : The fourth season of the stylist-to-the-stars’ show, “The Rachel Zoe Project,” dealt with the departure of her right-hand man, Brad Goreski, and the pressure of keeping up her hectic cross-country travel schedule while taking care of herself in the lead-up to the birth of her first child, son Skyler. Tori Spelling : We don’t know what Snooki’s TV pregnancy will look like, but few stars have embraced being with child on the tube as much as this former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star and daughter of Hollywood royalty. Every one of her three pregnancies has been caught on tape to some degree, beginning with son Liam in “Tori & Dean: Inn Love,” her first reality series with husband Dean McDermott. The on-screen bump she sported during “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” in 2008 resulted in daughter Stella. Daughter Hattie Margaret, who was born in October 2011, arrived following the first season of the pair’s latest show, “Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings.” While fans will have to wait and see what happens to Snooki as she embarks on this next chapter of her life on her spin-off with JWoww, fans can check out how this season of “Jersey Shore” will wrap up when the season finale airs on Thursday, March 15. Share your well-wishes for Snooki and Jionni in the comments below or on our Facebook page! Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. For continuing “Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog. Who is your favorite pregnant reality star? Let us know in the comments below!

Will Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master Arrive This Fall?

Official release plans haven’t been revealed for Paul Thomas Anderson’s mysterious untitled religious drama , known as The Master , which stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix and was reportedly filmed on 65mm. But while distributor The Weinstein Co. hasn’t let slip potential release dates yet, producer/financier Megan Ellison dropped a hint on Twitter about a possible fall opening. Responding to the PT Anderson fansite Cigarettes & Red Vines , Ellison (whose Annapurna Films financed the project) gave hope for a late 2012 debut. @ cigsandredvines I know you guys are waiting on a release date for ‘the Master’, and it’s still a bit early, but I’d keep my eyes on October — Megan Ellison (@meganeellison) March 6, 2012 If the October date lands it could potentially mean we’ll see The Master debut at Cannes in May, where Punch-Drunk Love premiered before opening in October of 2002, or play Telluride/Toronto/NYFF right before release at the start of awards season. While one Tweet (and Anderson’s film fest history) is awfully little to go on, it’d make sense if things shook out this way, but stay tuned for more as this phantom October date approaches. George Takei Fired on Celebrity Apprentice

George Takei has been beamed out of Celebrity Apprentice. After Donald Trump served up arguably the competition’s most difficult challenge for the celebrity teams yet, the fan-favorite contestant became the casualty. With a fashion-related challenge, the 0-for-2 women’s team (which has two models as members) finally won their first challenge to get the zero off the board. In the boardroom, Takei ended up paying the price. Sunday’s assignment was to create two living window displays at Lord & Taylor to promote Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump’s clothing line … convenient. The teams were judged in three areas: creativity, brand message and overall presentation. The women’s team project manager? Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza. The men’s manager? Takei. The deck was stacked on this one. The men spent a lot of time complaining about Takei’s leadership (Clay Aiken even called his leader “slower”) while the women’s team benefited from Aubrey O’Day. In addition to Mendoza leading the way, O’Day came up with the concept and took over a lot of the planning, helping key a demonstrative win for the females. Takei brought Lou Ferrigno and Arsenio Hall into the boardroom, where both blamed his lack of leadership … at which point George threw himself under the bus. It wasn’t exactly a surprise to see Takei fired at that point. Just sad. Next week, Trump says he’s firing two celebrities. Who should go next? What did you think of Sunday’s episode? Were you sad/shocked to see Takei fired?

Eric Stanze: The Mr. Skin (Sk)interview [PICS]

“King of Underground Cinema” Eric Stanze is a huge SKINspiration to all of us here at Skin Central. A lifelong cinema devotee, Eric knew from a very young age that he wanted to become a filmmaker. And with an independent spirit that would make his childhood idol, Dawn of the Dead (1978) legend and creator of the modern zombie film George Romero , proud, that’s exactly what he did. Eric founded his own production company, Wicked Pixel Pictures , when he was in his early twenties, and has gone on to direct six films and produce many more under the Wicked Pixel imprint. Though he’s best known among horror fans for transgressive films that push the limits of cinematic violence and sexuality, Eric’s films span a wide variety of horror and exploitation genres from atmospheric ghost stores ( Deadwood Park , 2007) to rape-and-revenge films ( I Spit on Your Corpse, I Piss on Your Grave , 2001) to brutal serial-killer flicks ( Scrapbook , 2000). His newest film is Ratline (2011), starring his frequent leading lady Emily Haack as a fugitive who stumbles into the dangerous world of Nazi occultism while on the run from a botched drug-money heist. Ratline has been praised by critics for its unique vision and intense thrills; Popmatters.com calls it “One of the most original horror experiences of the past decade” . We caught up with Eric at Wicked Pixel HQ in St. Louis, where he talked with Skin Central about his cinematic inspirations, the state of indie filmmaking in the Internet age, and what’s coming next: Skin Central: You directed your first movie, Savage Harvest , when you were only 21. When did you decide you wanted to be a filmmaker? Eric Stanze: I don’t really remember a time when I didn’t want to be a filmmaker. I was probably 10 years old when I started down the filmmaking path, becoming obsessed with movies, and shooting 8mm films in the back yard. I was 20 when I started treating it as a career instead of a hobby. Savage Harvest wasn’t my first feature, but it’s the first I took seriously, and the first to have a shred of competency in its making. Before Savage Harvest , I wrote, directed, shot, and edited a 90 minute feature when I was 18. It secured its own distribution deal eventually, and was released around the world. It sounds like a very impressive achievement for an 18 year old …until you see the movie, of course. It is truly terrible. SC:Was there any one movie in particular that got you into genre films? ES: George Romero’ s Dawn of the Dead , Night of the Living Dead , and Creepshow all had a huge impact on me when I was a kid, as did Don Siegel’ s Invasion of the Body Snatchers , Irvin S. Yeaworth Jr.’ s The Blob, Sam Raimi’ s The Evil Dead , S.F. Brownrigg’ s Don’t Look in the Basement, James Cameron ‘s The Terminator, and Sean S. Cunningham ‘s Friday the 13th – plus many more. I don’t know if I can narrow it down to one film, but I would say that Romero likely had the most influence on me when I was young and impressionable. As I got older, I continued to explore the horror genre, but other kinds of films started to influence me as well, from Citizen Kane to Full Metal Jacket. SC: I read an article you did for FEARnet in which you say “It is my opinion that filmmaking enjoyed its zenith as an art form in the period of 1968 through 1982.” What’s your Top 5 from this period? ES: To elaborate, I think this golden age of cinema began with 2001: A Space Odyssey a nd Night of the Living Dead in 1968, and it came to a close with The Thing and Blade Runner i n 1982. I may have a different opinion next week, but right now, off the top of my head I’d say my top five are, in order of release, The French Connection (1971), The Godfather: Part II (1974), Network (1976), The Deer Hunter (1978), and Apocalypse Now (1979). SC: What is the one movie you really, really wish you could have seen in the theater when it was first released? ES: Probably Romero’s Dawn of the Dead (right). I’ve seen it on the big screen [since], but I discovered it on video. I’ve never seen Black Sunday or The Road Warrior or Quest for Fire or Paths of Glory on the big screen. Those would have been cool too. SC: OK,’70s cinema lightning round. Lucio Fulci or H.G. Lewis ? ES: H.G. Lewis films are fun, but I’m gonna have to go with Fulci. SC: Roger Corman or David F. Friedman ? ES: I’m a fan of Friedman, but I have to pick Corman. SC: Thriller: A Cruel Picture or I Spit on Your Grave ? ES: These are tough questions, dammit! It’s close, but I think I Spit on Your Grave . SC: Who’s your favorite “scream queen” of all time (besides your frequent collaborator Emily Haack , of course)? ES : I’m a big fan of Adrienne King ( Friday the 13th ), Barbara Crampton ( Re-Animator ), and Laura Gemser ( Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals ). Adrienne was attached to the movie I was going to direct after Deadwood Park (2007), but the funding fell apart and the project evaporated. She’s intelligent, creative, and exceptionally nice, so I’m hoping our professional paths cross on another project in the near future. I would also be thrilled to work with Barbara Crampton. Last November she wished me a happy birthday. That makes me cool, right? [Yes. Yes it does. -SC] SC: Wicked Pixel Cinema started at the tail end of the VHS era and the beginning of the Internet era. How have things changed for you as an independent production company since the Internet became ubiquitous? ES: As far as the internet is concerned, this is still a period of exploration and discovery for the film industry. Nobody’s really figured it out yet. VHS had a long, comfortable run, which we were able to ride near the end, starting with our first release, Savage Harvest , in 1995. We did pretty well with DVD too, releasing our bigger titles through Image Entertainment during the peak of the DVD boom. Today there’s Amazon Instant Video and new internet marketing avenues to explore. It’s been pretty cool, watching everything evolve over the past two decades. Compared to when I first started doing this, distribution and funding options are an alien landscape today – and I believe things are getting better, in most ways, rather than worse. There is much less power in the hands of distributors and retailers. What we needed a distributor for just a few years ago, most indie film producers can do themselves – and often do more competently. Plus, the days of an indie film’s success or failure hinging on the elusive Blockbuster or Best Buy deal are long gone, and that’s wonderful. In short, today there is a more direct route, and fewer roadblocks, between indie filmmakers and the film fans. SC: What do you have coming up in 2012? ES :Good question! I have multiple projects cooking; all, some, or none of them may take root and actually get made. While I still intend to collaborate with a few of my past partners-in-crime, my focus is on working with new people who can bring fresh options, talent, resources, and perspectives to the table. My last two movies, Deadwood Park (2007) and Ratline (2011) were completely different movies in tone, narrative, and visual style, but they were kinda built in the same factory, so to speak. I’m looking for a new factory – or exciting ways to gut and rebuild this one. I’ve never settled into a rut, and now is not the time to start. Keep up with Eric Stanze as he writes his next chapter on his Facebook and Twitter pages, and be sure to check out his newest movie Ratline (2011) at the Wicked Pixel store and right here at MrSkin.com!

Will Justin Bieber’s Big-Screen Dreams Come True?

On his 18th birthday, we take a look at the superstar’s upcoming acting gigs. By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Justin Bieber Photo: Valery Hache/ AFP/ Getty Images By this point, it’s no secret that Justin Bieber has his sights set on the silver screen. Ever since his meteoric rise to stardom and his success with the concert film “Never Say Never,” talk has circulated about his first dramatic film projects. Now, on his 18th birthday, let’s take a closer look at Bieber’s big-screen potential! We got an early look at his acting chops on an episode of “CSI,” in which he played troubled teen Jason McCann and was famously blown away in a hail of gunfire. The cameo indicated his purported desire to take on darker roles, along the lines of those played by Mark Wahlberg. The most concrete movie project on the horizon for Bieber actually involves Wahlberg . The two have been developing a basketball movie, in the vein of “The Color of Money.” Wahlberg will play a weathered baller who takes a younger player (Bieber) under his wing. MTV News spoke with Wahlberg about the project , and he said his interest in working with the pop star comes from his intuition about Bieber’s acting ability. “I see the guy and spent time with him, and you see what he does and how he does it,” Wahlberg said. “Then you actually have a conversation with him, and it’s there.” The basketball project is currently in development at Paramount. Another Wahlberg-related project with Bieber’s name attached is a rumored remake of the 1996 film “Fear.” MovieWeb reported back in January that Bieber is supposedly “obsessed” with the movie and hopes to land the psychotic role to mirror Wahlberg’s career path. There hasn’t been an update on the remake’s progress since. Happy 18th birthday, Justin Bieber ! Now that we’ve counted down the superstar’s 18 greatest moments, stick with MTV News as we celebrate the milestone all day. Related Videos Happy Birthday, Justin Bieber!
