The Umbrella singer is one of four celebrities who are taking part in the Tap Project – offering fans the chance to win a collection of bottled TAP water. Other stars joining the 23-year-old are Disney queen Selena Gomez, country superstar Taylor Swift and Entourage actor Adrian Grenier. The project encourages fans to sign onto the UNICEF Tap website and donate $5 towards the cause. Director cites lengthy production schedule as reason for leaving Hugh Jackman-starring film. By Kara Warner Darren Aronofsky Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images The second “Wolverine” film is quickly becoming as unpredictable and complex as its titular character. It was reported Thursday (March 17) that Oscar-nominated director Darren Aronofsky will not be helming the pic after all. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aronofsky has dropped out due to the film’s lengthy production schedule overseas. “As I talked more about the film with my collaborators at Fox, it became clear that the production of ‘The Wolverine’ would keep me out of the country for almost a year,” Aronofsky said in a joint statement with Fox, the studio releasing the film. “I was not comfortable being away from my family for that length of time. I am sad that I won’t be able to see the project through, as it is a terrific script and I was very much looking forward to working with my friend, Hugh Jackman, again,” he said. Aronofsky or no, Fox said it supports the “Black Swan” director’s decision but still plans to move forward and make the film with Jackman firmly attached to those famous adamantium claws. “While we are of course disappointed that Darren can’t do ‘The Wolverine,’ we also understand and respect his reasons. Having done both ‘The Wrestler’ and ‘Black Swan’ with Darren, we know he is an extraordinary talent and we look forward to working with him on other projects in the future. ‘It feels good. I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first,’ Jonas tells Details about current flame. By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas on the cover of Details Photo: Details Joe Jonas had everyone buzzing when he announced he was working on a solo album, like his little brother Nick did before him. And just like when Nick announced his project, fans were wondering if this meant the end for the Jonas Brothers. In the new issue of Details magazine, Joe is quick to point out that he has not left his brothers behind. “We’re not breaking up, we’re just taking a break,” he explained. “I really have a hope for the fans that got older and went, ‘You know what, I’m really not into the Jonas Brothers anymore,’ that I’m able to catch their ear again with my project and they’re able to go like, ‘Hey, this is cool stuff, I’m happy listening to this, I’m not embarrassed listening to this.’ “I’m growing up, the fans are growing up. I’ve gone through a lot of stuff in my life so far. There are stories I haven’t really been able to tell,” he continued. “When you’re writing with three people, you wind up with a sound that might be — not average — but, you know, expected. I wanted to do something you could hear in a club or something you could dance to, something that’s fun — something that’s me.” Jonas added that he’s getting personal on this album and will release his first single within the month. “I think all artists have a right to write about what happens to them,” Joe said, noting that he’ll sing about “different love scenarios that I’ve been through, breakups, hurts. Me hurting somebody and feeling bad about it. I think there’s a lot of scenarios where people might wanna hear my side of the story.” No word on whether his current girlfriend, “Twilight Saga” star Ashley Greene , will have any songs about her on the album, but she certainly seems to have made a dent in his life. “It feels good. I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule,” he said in the issue. “She’ll fly out to my shows — she’s been to places in South America that I can’t even pronounce.” He even shows some love to his former flame Demi Lovato . The pair broke up last year and she’s on the mend after dealing with some personal issues. Jonas has this message for her: “I wish her the best.” But Joe isn’t just talking about those two ladies. He debunks all the rumors about him being gay, saying, “There’s nothing wrong with being gay, but I’m not.” He added that he had his heart broken in a pre-Greene world. “I won’t say her name,” he said. “But I was in a relationship, and we tried to work things out, and she, you know — I was really upset because she — she broke up with me.” Related Artists Jonas Brothers

Some say the movie chronicling Conan’s ouster from NBC is funnier than his show. By Eric Ditzian Conan O’Brien Photo: Noel Vasquez/ Getty Four months removed from the debut of his TBS late-night show, Conan O’Brien swept into the South by Southwest film festival over the weekend, a bit reluctantly, to promote a documentary cataloguing the fallout from his “Tonight Show” firing and his subsequent creative resurrection via a live comedy tour. Called “Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop,” the doc begins by recapping his NBC ouster and follows the comedian and his team as they come up with the comedy tour idea, build it from the ground up and then head out on the road. O’Brien has already largely moved on from these sordid events, but for one evening, he was compelled to relive the juicy late-night scandal and his reaction to it, which was not always as high-minded as he might have hoped. A few reviews, as well as O’Brien’s own comments about the project, have already hit the Web, so read on for some early insight into “Can’t Stop.” The Overview “What starts out as a sanity-restoring make-work project evolves into a highly entertaining cross-country extravaganza during the course of ‘Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop,’ an up-close account of the former ‘Tonight Show’ host’s two-month, 32-city comedy-and-music variety-show tour shortly after he parted ways with NBC in 2010.
