Ohio Shooter Wears "Killer" T-Shirt, Sentenced to Life

T.J. Lane – an 18-year old who pleaded guilty last month to killing three students in an Ohio State cafeteria in February 12 – was sentenced to consecutive life terms in prison today. And he drew attention to himself throughout the hearing by smiling, cursing… and donning a “Killer” T-shirt. Lane pointed his middle finger at the victims’ relatives at one point, while Dina Parmertor, whose son Daniel died in Lane’s attack, referred to the culprit “a pathetic excuse for a human being” and wished upon him “an extremely, slow torturous death.” Lane smiled as Dina spoke. Prosecutors say the teenager used a .22-caliber pistol to fire 10 shots at a group of students in his school’s cafeteria. Those fatally wounded included Daniel Parmertor and Demetrius Hewlin, both 16, and Russell King Jr., 17. A few months ago, Lane was ruled mentally competent to stand trial. In addition to three life sentences with no chance of parole, Judge David Fuhry also handed out sentences totaling 37 more years for attempted murder and felonious assault and using a weapon in Lane’s crimes.

James Holmes Appears in Court, Exhibits Bizarre Behavior

James Holmes appeared in court for the first time today, and both video accounts and witness accounts confirm that the alleged Aurora, Colorado shooter exhibited extremely unusual behavior while listening to a judge charge him with first degree murder. As you can see, the 24-year old donned organ hair and a red jumpsuit, sitting alongside his lawyer and shifting between wide open eyes and shut eyes. At various time, it appeared as if he had fallen asleep. Holmes remained silent for the duration of the hearing, as the judge informed this suspect that he would be held without bail and forbidden from contacting the families of his 12 victims . Arapahoe County District Attorney Carol Chambers spoke briefly with reporters after the courtroom session and said it’s unknown at the moment whether prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Holmes. His trial is expected to begin in the summer of 2013.

Matt Sandusky, Adopted Son of Jerry Sandusky, Accuses Former Coach of Abuse

With jurors in the Jerry Sandusky trial currently locked in deliberations over the 48 counts of child sex abuse leveled against this former Penn State football coach, another major allegation has come to light: Matt Sandusky says he was also abused by his adopted father. Attorneys for Matt Sandusky – one of six kids adopted by Jerry and wife Dottie, who went to live with the couple as a foster care child – released the following statement on behalf of the 33-year old this afternoon: “During the trial, Matt Sandusky contacted us and requested our advice and assistance in arranging a meeting with prosecutors to disclose for the first time in this case that he is a victim of Jerry Sandusky’s abuse. At Matt’s request, we immediately arranged a meeting between him and the prosecutors and investigators. “This has been an extremely painful experience for Matt and he has asked us to convey his request that the media respect his privacy. There will be no further comment.” It’s unclear why Matt Sandusky was never called to testify against Jerry, but it’s too late now, as the case is over and jurors are sequestered during deliberations. Described as a “a serial, predatory pedophile” by prosecutors in their closing argument, Jerry Sandusky faces life in prison if convicted.

Crazy Norwegian Who Murked 77 People Now Claims There’s A “Racist Plot” To Cast Him As Insane

Anders Breivik Claims There’s A “Racist Plot” To Cast Him As Insane Newsflash, buddy …you are already insane without the “racist plot”… Anxious to prove he’s not insane, confessed mass killer Anders Behring Breivik told a court Monday that questions about his mental health are part of a racist plot to discredit his extreme anti-Muslim ideology. Breivik, who has admitted to killing 77 people in a bombing and youth camp massacre, said that no one would have asked for a psychiatric examination had he been a “bearded jihadist.” “But because I am a militant nationalist, I am being subjected to grave racism,” he said. “They are trying to delegitimize everything I stand for.” Breivik rejects criminal guilt for the rampage on July 22, saying the victims had betrayed their country by embracing immigration. Even the defense admits there is virtually no chance of an acquittal, so the key issue to be determined in the trial is whether Breivik is criminally insane. Two psychiatric examinations reached opposite conclusions on that point. Breivik himself insists he is sane, and accuses the prosecutors of trying to make him look irrational. “I know I’m at risk of ending up at an insane asylum, and I’m going to do what I can to avoid that,” he told the court. Breivik became defensive as prosecutors quizzed him about sections of the 1,500-page manifesto he posted online before the attacks. It describes uniforms, medals, greetings and codes of conduct for the “Knights Templar” militant group that he claims to belong to. Prosecutors don’t believe it exists. If found sane Breivik would face 21 years in prison, though he can be held longer if deemed a danger to society. If sentenced to psychiatric care, in theory he would be released once he’s no longer deemed psychotic and dangerous. Source More On Bossip! D’Angelo Pleads Guilty To Disorderly Conduct After Soliciting Undercover Cop For Sex

More:

D’Angelo has entered a plea of guilty to disorderly conduct stemming from his March 2010 arrest in New York City for soliciting a cop who was undercover as a prostitute. Top 9 Music Videos Of The 2000s Samples of History: Inheriting Prince’s Funk D’Angelo, born Michael Eugene Archer, appeared in a Manhattan court room today to enter the plea to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct. Prosecutors say that D’Angelo’s offense was a violation and not a crime and that the star satisfied their conditions. No details about the deal they worked out have been released though. If the prosecutors were smart, they would’ve included a stipulation that demanded an album from the reclusive R&B singer who last released an album in 2000. #JustSayin… Spotted @ HipHopWired.com RELATED: D’Angelo Busted For Soliciting Oral Sex From Undercover Cop RELATED: D’Angelo Pleads Not Guilty To Solicitation Charges

Jewelry Store Cashes in On Surveillance Tape, Possibly Blows Case Against Lindsay Lohan

The store allegedly victimized in the great Lindsay Lohan jewelry store heist may have just blown its credibility and the prosecutors’ case against LiLo. Kamofie & Co. sold the surveillance tape – which Lindsay says backs up her excuse that this was a misunderstanding – to an unknown media outlet. This is causing fits for the lawyers in the case, particularly the prosecutor. NO CREDIBILITY : Both sides may suffer from that problem . Lindsay’s defense is that the necklace was a loan. The jeweler begged to differ. Law enforcement arrested and charged Lohan with felony grand theft. It boils down to the troubled star’s intent, and her credibility will be called into question. After the sale of the surveillance footage, so will Kamofle’s. Convincing a jury that a celebrity misled and victimized you may be a tough sell after they opted to cash in on the notoriety by hawking the footage. No word on how this will affect plea bargain negotiations. While her lawyer tries to work a light sentence, Lindsay refuses to do time , but faces an uncertain fate given her longstanding probation. Stay tuned.

D.A. on Dr. Conrad Murray Defense: Still Homicide!

To say the prosecutors in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case are unmoved by Dr. Conrad Murray’s defense theory would be an understatement. They don’t seem particularly worried about it, either. At the preliminary hearing, a doctor for the L.A. County Coroner’s Office testified that even if Michael Jackson injected himself with a fatal dose of Propofol, as Dr. Murray’s defense team claims, he is still guilty of homicide. Dr. Christopher Rogers believes Dr. Murray had no business administering Propofol outside a hospital setting and without appropriate equipment. Rogers said that given Michael Jackson’s dependence on Propofol – Murray calims Jackson begged for the drug – the fact that Murray left MJ by himself (which he admitted) with access to the powerful anesthetic constitutes a homicide. Well, talk about turning the tables on that theory. To make matters worse, a doctor for the L.A. County Coroner’s Office testified he doesn’t believe Dr. Murray only gave Michael Jackson 25 mg of Propofol. Without saying Murray lied to cops in his interview two days after MJ died, Rogers said Jackson would have awakened after 3-5 minutes after that dose. Rogers also testified he doesn’t think Jackson swallowed Propofol, another angle to a defense that Murray’s attorneys laid the groundwork for this week. Very small amounts of the drug were found in Jackson’s stomach, he said in the latest round of testimony to see if Murray will be tried for manslaughter . Rogers said he believes it’s inappropriate to use Propofol for insomnia and that Murray’s care was “substandard” any way you slice it. Your move, doc. Dr. Murray …

Michael Jackson Doctor Conrad Murray Gets His Day In Court

Jackson’s choreographer Kenny Ortega is expected to testify at the preliminary hearing in Los Angeles. By Gil Kaufman Dr. Conrad Murray (file) Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images More than a year and a half after the shocking death of Michael Jackson, the only person charged in the singer’s death, his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray, will finally get his day in court. Murray, who has been charged with one felony count of involuntary manslaughter, will be in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday (January 4) for the first day of a preliminary hearing to determine whether there is enough evidence to hold a full trial. The hearing, in front of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor, is expected to last two weeks and feature testimony from more than two dozen witnesses, most of whom are medical experts. Prosecutors will attempt to show that Murray, who has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter charge, was responsible for the singer’s death from an overdose of prescription drugs on June 25, 2009. Murray’s lawyers have said the doctor did inject the 50-year-old pop icon with the powerful surgical anesthetic propofol in an attempt to combat Jackson’s chronic insomnia, but that the dose “should have” not been enough to kill him. TMZ reported on Tuesday that one of the star witnesses during the preliminary hearing will be Jackson’s “This is It” choreographer Kenny Ortega. Citing an unnamed source, TMZ said that Ortega is expected to testify that the week before Jackson died , the singer complained that he felt cold, had the shakes and could not perform, which resulted in a canceled rehearsal. On the next day, June 20, 2009, an emergency meeting was reportedly called at Jackson’s rented Los Angeles mansion between the pop star, Ortega, several executives from concert promotion giant AEG Live and Murray. The meeting was described as “intense, loud and argumentative” and Ortega is said to have laid into Jackson, imploring the singer to take better care of himself in the lead-up to what was intended to be his live swan song. According to TMZ, Ortega is expected to testify that Murray said some “terrible things” during the meeting and displayed a lack of concern and respect for his patient, comments that could be “damaging” to Murray. Last week, one of the prosecutors in the case claimed that Murray’s lawyers were planning to claim that Jackson killed himself when he self-administered a lethal dose of propofol after waking up in a panic from a bout of fitful sleep. Ortega is also reportedly set to testify that in the two days before his death, Jackson was a changed man, impressing his backup dancers with his upbeat singing and dancing. The testimony could be key to the prosecutors’ case, since it could paint a portrait of Jackson as being healthy and energetic before Murray administered the cocktail of sedatives and propofol that allegedly resulted in the singer’s death.
