Following the arrest of Alicia Guastaferro on prostitution charges Monday night, the former Wife Swap star’s husband has spoken out and… … wait, what?!? Yes, the 20-year old is married to someone named Scott Kleveno , who tells TMZ he tied the knot with Alicia last November at Niagra Falls, but separated from her a few months ago. And he isn’t shocked by her run in with the law. “With her not coming home on several occasions, the prostitution arrest is no surprise to me,” Kleveno says, explaining that Guastaferro worked as a dancer during their marriage and would often meet up with customers late at night outside the club. Kleveno moved to Florida after the couple split, but adds that Guastaferro has a history with James Doyle, the 54-year old lawyer police caught her with this week and for whom she claims she served as a call girl. Scott says a divorce is pending, but he’s waiting on the paperwork.
It sounds like something out of a movie, but Chinese star Ziyi Zhang is now the real-life subject of a prostitution scandal in Hong Kong. Ziyi is under official investigation following charges that she accepted cash from high-ranking officials to hide the dragon in her crouching tiger, with prominent Chinese businessman Xu Ming allegedly acting as her pimp. A night with Ziyi don’t come cheap, either- according to the report, one client, Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai , allegedly paid 10 million Chinese yuan (over $1.5 million US) for just one encounter with the mega-star, a privilege for which he ponied up (pun intended) at least 10 times between 2004 and 2007, according to the same source. In fact, Ziyi is accused of raking in around 700 million yuan ($109,895,362.08 at today’s price in US dollars) over the past ten years . Not surprisingly, Ziyi and her team have slammed the story as “a complete lie” and are suing the tabloid, the Apple Daily , that leaked the allegations. Emily Browning gives a fearless performance in her nude debut, Sleeping Beauty (2011), but as she tells Movieline , seeing the movie with an audience had her quaking in her boots: “I was meant to see it for the first time at Cannes. I said to my publicist, ‘I can’t do it. Uh oh… somebody’s sayin’ Malcolm was gay for pay? Manning Marable’s 594-page biography Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention was released on April 4th, and the book has aroused more conversation about the slain Civil Rights leader’s sexuality than a little bit, but folks should know Marable isn’t the first to say Malcolm X had same-sex relations. Bruce Perry, with his 1991 biography, Malcolm: The Life of a Man Who Changed Black America has that honor. Blogger Irene Monroe recently wrote about the topic, and she raises the point that some of the “relations” Perry claims Malcolm had were of the “gay-for-pay” variety: According to Perry, Malcolm’s same-sex dalliances date back to childhood, where he enjoyed being masturbated or fellated. In his 20s, Perry informs us, Malcolm had a sustained sexual relationship with a transvestite named Willie Mae, and also he had sex with gay men for money, boasting he serviced “queers.” Monroe, who is a lesbian activist, scholar and public theologian, cautions the LGBTQ community from jumping to embrace Malcolm as one of their own, explaining that the context in which Malcolm allegedly engaged in said behaviors is important to consider: I am not heterosexist apologist, but if we as LGBTQ people use this era of Malcolm’s life to claim him as gay, we misunderstand the art and survivalism of street hustling culture. Similarly, if we, as African Americans, use this era of Malcolm’s life to dismiss that he engaged in same-sex relationships, many will miss the opportunity to purge ourselves of homophobic attitudes. When Malcolm came to Boston to live with his older half-sister, Roxbury’s Ella Little Collins, he was 16, having dropped out of school at 15. With no job skills and looking for the most expedient route to acquire money, Malcolm peddled cocaine, broke into homes of Boston’s well-to-do, gambled big at poker games, and unabashedly serviced gay men for pay. While it can be argued that Malcolm’s same-sex encounters were not solely financially motivated, let us also not dismiss that the only evidence we do have is the context in which he was. We all know from Alex Haley’s book that Detroit Red was a wild cat… but hustlin’ a*s? Does this new information, if it is true, change the way we look at Malcolm X? Should people overlook his homosexual dalliances, if he had them, as merely a means of survival? Could Malcolm be proof that gay people can turn straight? So many questions… Source
Arrest stems from a raid on his Atlanta home last month. By Kara Warner Waka Flocka Flame Photo: Henry County Sheriff’s Office Rapper Waka Flocka Flame turned himself in to authorities in Atlanta on Monday (January 3) following last month’s raid on his home . Flocka was booked on multiple charges, including possession of marijuana and hydrocodone, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of probation for driving on a suspended license. According to TMZ , Waka’s mother and manager, Deb Antney, said the rapper turned himself in because “he wanted to do the right thing and didn’t want to run.” The rapper’s arrest stemmed from a warrant issued after a raid on his home in Atlanta last month, during which authorities were said to be investigating a prostitution organization but instead uncovered drugs and guns on the premises. Antney, who was home at the time of the raid, along with Waka associate Gucci Mane, fiercely denied the prostitution allegations. Although Antney and Mane were detained while police searched the home, neither party was charged. “It had nothing to do with prostitution,” Antney told MTV News. “The weapons they found were licensed weapons. There was under an ounce of marijuana, but it was nothing but a blunt. The other drugs were medication that was in Waka’s room from when he got hurt,” Antney said, referring to Waka Flocka Flame’s shooting last year . During a sit-down with radio station Hot 93.7 in Hartford, Connecticut, after the raid, Waka denied he was involved in any shady dealings, maintaining he has no plans to juggle life in the streets and the spotlight. “Why would I rap and go try to street gang bang? That’s hustling backwards. Why would I wanna rap all around the world and then go hit the streets and gang bang? I’m a rapper, I’m not a [gang-banger]. How can you gang-bang and be a rapper? I don’t understand that,” he said. “I would love to find out where their information is coming from.
