Orange County, Calif., teenager Caleb Pusey says he’s not engaged to Amanda Bynes, despite what numerous gossip blogs (and Bynes) have been saying. Amanda Bynes claimed earlier this month that Amanda Bynes is engaged to Caleb , a 19-year-old bait shop employee. Somewhat surprisingly, he does exist! Not surprisingly at all, the engagement is news to him. The somewhat unfortunately named Pusey grew close to the troubled actress while the pair were in rehab together last year, so they do know one another. As for as them being betrothed, though … Despite befriending each other, Caleb says the two never dated and he hasn’t spoken with Bynes in at least a few months, so don’t save the date for their wedding. Bynes, who is now receiving the help she needs thanks to Sam Lutfi and her parents, revealed that the couple’s engagement would grace the cover of People . She may well grace that cover, alright, but for different reasons. Bynes was placed on a 5150 psych hold Friday after being duped into flying home to L.A. After her DUI arrest last month, Bynes went totally off the rails, moving to NYC and engaging in bizarre, unsettling and borderline dangerous behavior. It wasn’t a matter of whether she needed help, only whether she would get it before she hurt herself and/or others. We can all be thankful that she got it. With the aid of Lutfi, who convinced her she was returning to California to file a lawsuit against her parents and meet with an attorney, doctors got to Bynes. Not a moment too soon, either. Her psychiatric hold can be extended up to 14 days, by which point a conservatorship will likely be requested by her parents (again) to help safeguard her. This same thing happened in 2012-13 until it culminated in a driveway fire and a 5150 hold. Then the conservatorship lapsed, and here we are again. Section 5150 is a section of the California Welfare and Institutions Code. It allows a qualified officer/clinician to confine a person believed to possess a mental disorder that makes him/her a danger to himself or herself, a danger to others and/or gravely disabled. Past stars to have been placed in similar situations include Britney Spears, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan. A few hours after accusing her father of sexual assault, Bynes took to Twitter this afternoon and retracted the statement. “My dad never did those things,” Bynes wrote on Twitter . “The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me.” This isn’t the first time Bynes has referred to a microchip. She told Life & Style just last week that people are ” reading my mind .” The actress was also hospitalized on a psychiatric hold in 2013. This stint was followed by an extended stay in rehab, during which time her mother became her conservator. She was then released into her parents’ full-time care in December and appeared to be on a path to recovery. However, Bynes was recently kicked out of her school and then she became estranged again from her mom and dad. Last month, she was arrested for DUI. Amanda Bynes is clearly in need of major help. Veteran Cat is back to advise Unsure Kitten. Back in June, we ran a Buzzfeed video that served as an extended, amazingly awesome ad for Friskies. It featured the narration of an older feline offering words of wisdom to a young animal of his same species, warning him against the ” monster known as vaccum .” Now, the two have returned for another “Dear Kitten” spot, one focuses on that new “thing” in the house. “It is called a ‘dog,'” the older cat explains. “Imagine a cat. Now take away cleanliness, independence, and intelligence. What you have left is basically a dog.” The cat goes on to tell the kitten about what dogs do with newspapers… how they’ll eat “butt paper”… and how they possess a “psycho furry sword” that he’d be well served to avoid. Earlier today, Adrian Peterson was reinstated by the Minnesota Vikings. He’ll be on the field next Sunday when the team goes up against the New Orleans Saints. Not long after Minnesota made that announcement, the star running back – who has been arrested on charges of reckless/negligent injury to a child – issued a lengthy statement in which he addressed his controversial actions as a parent. Adrian Peterson: Returning to NFL Action “I never wanted to be a distraction to the Vikings organization, the Minnesota community or to my teammates,” Peterson says. “I never imagined being in a position where the world is judging my parenting skills or calling me a child abuser because of the discipline I administered to my son.” Peterson has admitted to whooping his son with a switch after the four-year old acted out during a visit over the summer. The beating resulted in wounds all over the child’s body and a grand jury being summoned soon after to gather evidence against Peterson. “I have to live with the fact that when I disciplined my son the way I was disciplined as a child, I caused an injury that I never intended or thought would happen,” he added. “I know that many people disagree with the way I disciplined my child. I also understand after meeting with a psychologist that there are other alternative ways of disciplining a child that may be more appropriate.” Peterson was deactivated by the Vikings for yesterday’s loss to the Patriots, and some in the sports community (including Charles Barkley) are sticking up for the star. They may think he went overboard in this instance, but they have all shared stories of beating physically punished by their parents as children – and of how it made them stronger individuals. Concluded Peterson: “I have learned a lot and have had to reevaluate how I discipline my son going forward. But deep in my heart I have always believed I could have been one of those kids that was lost in the streets without the discipline instilled in me by my parents and other relatives.” “I have always believed that the way my parents disciplined me has a great deal to do with the success I have enjoyed as a man. Why do Black women have a higher obesity demographic than any other ethnicity in America ??? Study Shows Black Women Are More Likely To Be Obese Despite anti-immigration propaganda, the most recent U.S. census revealed that 77 percent of the American population classifies themselves as white. Although black people only make up 13 percent of the nation’s population, black women have a higher obesity demographic than any other group. Via Medical Daily reports: In order to understand the female black community’s perception of weight, health, and beauty, researchers investigated, and what they found is truly eye-opening. In a study led by Elizabeth Lynch from Rush University in Illinois, a team of researchers recruited the help of 69 black women. According to a recent press release, although the women involved all shared similar economic backgrounds, lifestyles, and ages, they had various body sizes ranging from underweight to obese. Researchers purposely used such a range in order to determine whether black women’s perception of weight was based on their own body size or on shared cultural beliefs. Results, published in the Journal of Nutrition, Education, and Behavior, showed that regardless of their weight all women involved in the study agreed over which figures in the Body Image Scale were overweight, obese, and too fat. Although most agreed that figures six through nine were overweight, few went onto agree that these overweight figures were also too fat. The majority did, however, classify figures eight and nine as obese and too fat. Rather than outright ask the women if they viewed their own bodies as healthy or overweight, the researchers asked the women to match their own figures with the images they had previously categorized. This is where the experiment got interesting. In total, 56 percent of overweight women (BMI 25 or greater) and 40 percent of obese women (BMI 30 or greater) did not classify their own bodies as overweight, obese, or too fat. Astonishingly, only 30 percent of the women who were medically categorized as obese actually viewed their figures as too fat. In fact, it seemed that the generally accepted overweight BMI numbers in the black female participants (BMI of 35) was 10 figures over that accepted by doctors. In an interesting coincidence, it was observed that those are the exact figures recent studies have shown to be the point when weight begins to threaten lifespan. This coincidence may be explained by Lynch’s observation that weight loss in the black community is more driven by the desire to be healthy and stay off medicine than lose pounds. While the exact figures of black women with eating disorders are unknown, studies have shown that these disorders are somewhat rare among black females, Psychology Today reported. According to Lynch, black and white women generally have differing views on weight and beauty. “Research suggests that for white women the concept of beauty is heavily influenced by body size, and body size is also linked tightly to self-esteem. For black women, though, beauty is defined less by body size, and it’s defined more in terms of things like personal style,” Lynch explained in a podcast provided by The Journal of Nutrition, Education, and Behavior. In layman’s terms, Lynch explained that, based on her studies, it seems to be easier for black women to be “big and beautiful” than it is for women belonging to other ethnic backgrounds. While the idea of body confidence and the low numbers of black females with eating disorders may be something noteworthy, there is a point where this body acceptance begins to endanger one’s health. “The fact that women felt that overweight body sizes were not too fat suggests that being told they are overweight, even by a physician, may not be sufficient motivation for them to attempt weight loss,” Lynch explained in the press release. Instead, ethnically sensitive diet programs may prove more effective in bringing about real weight loss results in black women. Lynch suggests using visual aids rather than terms and numbers to explain obesity and future weight loss goals. This would erase any misunderstanding between doctors and patients and perhaps help the patient better understand the severity of their health issue. Discuss….

One quick glance at their Instagram pages is all it takes to know that Kendall and Kylie Jenner are the queens of “age inappropriate.” Usually that means that Kendall and Kylie are partying with older men or posting pics of themselves in various states of undress despite the fact that they’re still in their teens.
