Amanda Bynes Fights For Her Freedom According to TMZ Amanda Bynes will be in court Friday –TMZ has learned — and we’re told she will mount a ferocious fight for her freedom. Sources involved in the case tell TMZ … Amanda will be transported from the psychiatric hospital — where she’s been staying against her will for the last 2 weeks — to a courthouse where her parents will be asking a judge for a temporary conservatorship. We’re told Amanda will be transported by a hospital vehicle and accompanied by her lawyer. The only snag would be if Amanda goes off the rails before the hearing. Sources tell us Amanda will be speaking with the judge — possibly in chambers — so he can get a read on her mental competency. If the parents prevail, the temporary conservatorship will last until Sept. 30, when a full-blown conservatorship hearing will take place. If the parents get their way, Amanda will go back to the psych ward for further treatment. If Amanda prevails, she will walk out of the courthouse a free woman. Somewhere Drake is laughing.

According to Gossip Extra Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is satisfied with the decision by a Miami-Dade County family court judge that forced him to turn over his two boys to his ex-wife, a source close to Wade tells Gossip Extra exclusively. The reason for Wade’s approval? In the same order Tuesday, Judge Antonio Marin also ordered Wade’s ex, Siohvaughn Funches, to undergo a psychological evaluation with an emphasis on anger control issues. And Funches will have to attend family therapy with her and Wade’s 11-year-old son, Zaire. Said Evan Marks, Wade’s Miami lawyer: “We are satisfied with the ruling.” Marks declined to comment further after Wade and Funches agreed to stop talking trash about each other in public. Wade had Zaire and the little one, Zion, taken to their mom within minutes of Monday’s hearing, Gossip Extra‘s source said. The ball player received assurances from a neutral parenting coordinator that he’d be in touch with the kids on each day of their two-week visit. Hopefully everyone sticks to the agreement.

We broke the story … Amanda was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold 10 days ago after starting a fire in the driveway of a home near L.A. The hold lasted 3 days, and then doctors stepped in and got a judge to extend the hold for 2 additional weeks so they could properly diagnose her. Our sources say Amanda’s lawyer argued at today’s hearing the actress was capable of caring for herself and she was not a danger to others. As we reported, Amanda is actually doing a lot better since doctors have started giving her a cocktail of meds. We’re told there are clear signs Amanda is schizophrenic. In the end the judge agreed with the doctors, that Amanda needed to stay in the hospital because her mental situation is still precarious. Amanda does not acknowledge she has a mental illness, and doctors believe there’s more than a good chance she would not take the meds that have stabilized her if she’s out on her own. All those voices she heard should have told her not to wear those horrible blonde wigs anymore.

She wanted to challenge that ruling, but eventually concurred with her attorney that they had no new case, and asked for a hearing on August 1. The 27-year-old and her lawyer believe the medication she’s now on will improve her condition and allow her to make a stronger case for freedom. Bynes clearly doesn’t want to be in the psychiatric ward or under a legal conservatorship run by her parents, which they have already requested. She’s being kept in the hospital regardless, however, because she is deemed a danger to herself and/or others, but the meds could be a positive step. Up until now, she’s refused to grasp (or at least acknowledge) that she even has a problem, so perhaps she has seen the light … time will tell. In any case, Amanda Bynes’ parents are trying to set up a conservatorship that would give them control of her medical, financial and legal affairs. Her parents believe this is essential to save her from herself, as she is a substance abuser who is paranoid, delusional and draining her bank account. They note, as Twitter users know well, that she has “profound body image issues” and is “obsessed with the fact that she (and others) are ugly .” The star has at least $4 million in the bank, according to her mom and dad, but has also blown $1.2 million in very little time. On what, it’s unclear. Rick and Lynn Bynes think she spends “a substantial amount” on weed and other illegal substances, but the missing cash is unaccounted for. Amanda also told them she “cabbed it” from New York to L.A. after being kicked out of her hotel there, and her parents believe she is now homeless. We hope this didn’t happen, but she still needs to get help. According to Radar Online Amanda Bynes told one of her only friends, Ana Rivera, that she was “roofied” during a blind date with the drug GHB and RadarOnline.com has all the details and text messages about the incident from Amanda herself. According to Ana — who claims she met Amanda last November on the street in New York City — the troubled actress sent her a text message in February detailing a date with a guy who she thought she was doing cocaine with, but now believes it was the date-forced sex drug, GHB. “She sent me a text to tell me that she got ‘roofied’ one night, when she was on a date with a guy and ended up in hospital,” Ana said. “She thought he was giving her that white girl, but when she sniffed it, it made her feel like she was dying, and ended up in hospital. I was like you can’t see that guy again. “That was one of the last times I talked to her,” Ana said. “I suddenly couldn’t get hold of her and then read she’d changed her phone and email and wasn’t talking to anyone. It was like she was dropping everyone at once.” As RadarOnline.com previously reported , Ana is not surprised by Amanda’s bizarre behavior or her 5150 psych hold, and thinks the former Nickelodeon star will die if not placed in conservatorship of her parents. “She’s good at being lucid when she’s crazy. She told me about it and started crying when talking about it,” Ana said. “I’m glad the dog is safe and with her parents.
