Game of Thrones Season Premiere: Did It Live Up to the Hype?

With all respect to Ned Umber, there were no major deaths on what most would say was the most anticipated season premiere in television history. But there were a few major revelations. None more pressing than the little nugget Samwell passed along to his very best friend, Jon Snow, who finally knows something… … yet likely wishes he did not. Indeed, Jon now knows that he’s the little nugget of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. He’s Aegon Targaryen, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and the person to whom all residents of the Seven Kingdoms ought to be bowing down… not that misguided, very attractive and occasionally homicidal Mother of Dragons. That should make for some awkward pillow talk the next time these two fly off to some snow-covered caves and waterfalls, huh? “We could stay a thousand years. No one would find us,” Dany told her lover (and, ummm, nephew) about halfway through the season premiere, as the episode really tried to drive home the love these two blood relatives feel for one another. Will Jon tell Dany the truth? Will she respond by making (n)ice or with some serious fire? This was the key takeaway from a premiere that spent most of its time moving everyone into place for war. Just like the other main revelation from the premiere (Jaime seeing that Bran is very much alive and, in his own way, doing quite well), however, it was something the audience already knew. Yes, it’s exciting to think of where things will go now that Jon and Dany both think they have a claim to the Throne. And who out there isn’t psyched to see Jaime issue a “yo, totally my bad, but you caught me f-cking my sister” to Bran? But still: When there are only six total episodes remaining on the most popular drama of all-time, it’s fair for some fans to feel annoyed that no one really died on this premiere and no stunning truths were revealed to the viewers. Dany and Jon went on a dragon ride! Arya reunited with her quasi sibling! And asked for a speciasl Dragonglass weapon! And got to trash talk the Hound! Sansa met (and stared down) Dany! Euron got to be all arrogant and sexy, while getting into Cersei’s pants at last! Theon rescued his sister and journeyed back to Winterfell to continue his redemption arc! And, perhaps most importantly, Cersei is settled in at King’s Landing, while nearly everyone else has arrived at Winterfell — including, very soon, The Night King. Winter is no longer coming. It is very much here and all parties are dug in at just two locations at last, preparing for the ultimate battle and criss-crossing the Seven Kingdoms for so many years. Was it just us, or did Game of Thrones also seem funnier than usual? What do dragons eat? Whatever they want. The last time we spoke was at Joffrey’s wedding. A miserable affair. It had its moments. I don’t know how to ride a dragon. Nobody does, until they ride a dragon. What if he doesn’t want me to? Then I’ve enjoyed your company, Jon Snow. You left me to die. First, I robbed you. We actually laughed out loud a few times — but we don’t tune in to Game of Thrones to laugh out loud. We tune in for bloodshed! And surprises! And broken alliances! And nudity! And… okay, the scene with Bronn gave us a bit of the latter. But most intriguing quote from the premiere was this, courtesy of Sam’s exchange with Jon: You gave up your crown to save your people. Would she do the same? That’s the most significant question as we head into yet another wildly anticipated episode next Sunday. What did YOU think of this premiere?

According to Candace who was called by GOP lawmakers to speak on white nationalism and hate speech, it’s all a myth and the Democrats are too busy focusing on “fear-mongering, power, and control” with a goal to scare people into voting for the left. “We’re hearing [terms like ‘white nationalism’] sent around today because what they want to say is that brown people want to be scared, which seems to be the narrative that we hear every four years ahead of a presidential election,” said Candace. “The hearing today is not about white nationalism or hate crimes, it’s about fear-mongering, power, and control. The goal here is to scare blacks, Hispanics, gays, and Muslims, helping [Democrats] censor dissenting opinions … helping them regain control. “White supremacy, racism, white nationalism, words that once held real meaning, have now become nothing more than election strategies.”   SIGH. And while Candace who brought her 74-year-old grandad along for the ride drowned on and on, things got especially interesting when Representative Ted Lieu of California played a clip of Candace speaking about Adolf Hitler. As previously reported Candace said; “If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine,” said Candace in response to an audience question at a British Turning Point conference about nationalism. “The problem is that he wanted—-he had dreams outside of Germany. The following day, the teaser trailer was released to the masses and of course, major commentary ensued. Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez: How Their Blended Family Of 6 Reached #FamGoals!

I’m sure you all know by now that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have the most adorable close-knit family.  And if you don’t, then please come out from under your rock and appreciate these heartwarming photos.  The newly engaged couple is doing a fabulous job at setting a precedent on how to have the most perfect blended family.  The 2019 version of The Brady Bunch , if you will.  J-Lo and A-Rod have combined their four children and are quickly becoming America’s new favorite blended fam!  The love birds finally got engaged  after two years of dating and apparently, their kids have been anxiously waiting for the proposal, according to Oprah Magazine.  Rodriguez popped the question on March 9 in the Bahamas and according to his Instagram, she said yes!  Both posted photos of the special day while the former New York Yankee held her hand, which  showed off a massive diamond rock!   Plus her nails were properly painted and it seemed as though there was even a bonfire going off in the background. How romantic!  And while the diamond stunner was gaining the world’s attention, many were equally impressed by the way the superstars’ kids seem to get along.  According to the couple, Rodriguez’s daughters and Lopez’s twins have become instant BFFs. A-Rod shares Natasha, 14 and Ella, 10, with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis and Lopez’s 10-year-old twins Max and Emme are from her third marriage to Marc Anthony.  The 43-year-old dad has said, “We couldn’t have asked for anything better than the four of them getting along as they do.” And Lopez added that the kids are so excited for the wedding and will definitely play a major role in the upcoming ceremony.  We have loved watching the mega-famous parents merge their cute little families together, ever since Alex proudly claimed his girlfriend to be the type of “role model” he wants for his daughters.  It has only gotten better since then as the kids are regularly spotted together, like one big happy herd.  The new family seems as though it was always meant to be. Every piece of the puzzle has been solved, they fit like a glove, they’re just really perfect, ok?  For instance, both parents have made it a priority to give equal attention to their children as they do to themselves as a couple.  For every high-quality captured moment of Lopez and Rodriguez out on their glamorous date nights, there are in return the more candid, casual shots of the entire clan.  Just take a glance at either of their Instagram profiles and you will find lots of laughs, smiles and loving fun.  There are snapshots of the engaged couple with their little foursome at carpool drop-offs, Christmas-tree decorating, and on family vacations. Kristoff St. John Cause of Death: Revealed, Tragic

We have an important update on the sad death of Kristoff St. John. Over a month since the shocking loss of this soap opera star, the coroner’s office has released its official autopsy results, alerting the public to the reason St. John passed away back on February 3. This coroner’s report has listed the cause of death as “hypertrophic heart disease” with “effects of ethanol” cited as another significant condition. The document also deems the death accidental and says other conditions contributing , but not related to the immediate cause of death, included myocardial bridging of the left anterior descending coronary artery and the effects of ethanol. The 52-year-old – best known for his long-running role on The Young and the Restless – was found dead in his home in the neighborhood of Woodland Hills about six years ago. It was believed at the time that an excess of alcohol consumption had played a role in this tragedy… but the cause of his death was deferred by the Los Angeles County Coroner until an ” additional investigation ” was finished. St. John’s passing came more than four years after his son, Julian, died by suicide following treatment for mental health issues. In November of 2017, meanwhile, St. John opened up about his own mental health struggles after being hospitalized and undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. “To all of mi [sic] IG peeps. Thanks for throwing out a life preserver,” he wrote on Instagram about a year and a half ago, adding: “Words cannot express the gratitude that I feel to have so much love that you bathe me in…anoint me with…cloak me with. I am humbled.” He added: “Life is precious. I look forward to continuing this journey together with all of you…us. Because at the end of the day, at the magic hour, we are warmed with an all knowing presence of light and love. My heart beats to the music of our creation. “You are an integral piece of my personal spiritual puzzle, as I hope I am to yours. I love you…forever.” According to these newly-unveiled autopsy papers, Kristoff was admitted to Las Encinas Mental Health Hospital in Pasadena on January 26, 2019 for “threatening to hurt himself and alcohol abuse.” He returned to his Woodland Hills home from the mental health facility on February 1, just two days prior to his death, the report detailed. There’s no way of knowing what was going through St. John’s head just before he died, in other words, but he clearly had been struggling for a period of time prior to his death. The actor who originated the role of Neil Winters on the aforementioned daytime drama. He was a leged in this industry. “The news of Kristoff St. John’s passing is heartbreaking. He was a very talented actor and an even better person,” CBS Television Network and Sony Pictures Television said in a joint statement, adding: “For those of us who were fortunate enough to work with him on The Young and the Restless for the last 27 years, he was a beloved friend whose smile and infectious laugh made every day on set a joy and made audiences love him. “On behalf of the Y&R cast and crew, CBS and Sony Pictures Television, we offer our heartfelt sympathy to his family and loved ones, especially his two daughters, Paris and Lola.” The actor is survived by fiancée Kseniya Mikhaleva, ex-wives Mia St. John and Allana Nadal and two children: Paris, his daughter with Mia; and Lola, his daughter with Nadal. Earlier in March, Mikhaleva, said she would not be able to attend his funeral. “Several weeks ago I applied for an ’emergency’ visa for the funeral to say goodbye my fiancé and beloved,” she wrote on Instagram. “The reply from the Embassy was ‘No’. My heart is broken.” She concluded: “I am going through this with a huge pain in my heart,and realize that I don’t have opportunity to say goodbye to him and put flowers on his grave. Alleged Audio Surfaces Of Joycelyn Savage Saying R. Kelly Told Her To Lie About Their Sexual Relationship

R . Kelly is facing 10 counts of sex abuse and heading to trial. Now, some damning audio has dropped of Joycelyn Savage saying that Kelly told her to lie about their relationship. Kelly’s Marriage To Aaliyah The Blast reportedly obtained audio of Joycelyn Savage talking to voice coach after her family found out she had a a sexual relationship with the singer. Savage does not appear to know she is being recorded. “I told him what was going on,” she said to her voice coach. “He can’t trust me … I have to gain his trust back because he really likes me a lot.” She also said that Kelly wanted her to send a text message saying, “I lied about me and you having sex.” Savage is also scared that R. Kelly may have gave her an STD, specifically herpes. The Blast also reports, “Joycelyn confided in her closest friends that Kelly allegedly sexually assaulted her during their first meeting, and her family firmly believes that incident started a pattern of physical and psychological abuse that resulted in total dedication to the star.” Kelly and Savage reportedly met in 2015 when he flew her out to a show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The audio has reportedly been give to federal investigators. Gayle King interviewed Joycelyn Savage, 23, and  Azriel Clary , 21, during the now infamous interview.   Savage alleged that her and Clary’s parents were “out here to get money.” Clary cried,“I’m crying because you guys don’t know the truth. You guys are believing in some fucking facade that our parents are saying. This is all fucking lies for money. And if you can’t see that, you’re ignorant and you’re stupid.” Watch the full interview below: Kelly was arrested Feb. 23 after surrendering to Chicago police following his indictment on the same day for 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. After spending the weekend in jail because he arguably had trouble paying the $100,000 for bail, a woman friend of his posted his bond . Kelly was taken into custody again for failing to pay more than $160,000 in child support but was released a few days later after someone else paid his bond. The latest sex crime charges he is facing stem from attorney Michael Avenatti giving purported child porn videos that featured the singer. Avenatti said he was hired last April in connection to multiple allegations of Kelly sexually assaulting minors. He claimed to have videotaped evidence, which, despite their similarities, were apparently not the same video footage that got Kelly indicted in 2002 — and acquitted in 2008 — for child porn. Interest in seeing Kelly charged for his alleged crimes came at the beginning of the year when the bombshell docuseries “ Surviving R. If there’s one thing BW love, it’s music. Music isn’t just the universal language; it also has therapeutic and medicinal effects. Hence the reason why music therapy is actually a thing. According to Psychology Today : “Music therapy has demonstrated efficacy as an independent treatment for reducing depression, anxiety and chronic pain. Furthermore, music has positive physical effects. It can produce direct biological changes, such as reducing heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol levels. “Alternative and complementary treatments such as creative art, meditation, and yoga have been proposed to bridge this gap. But music, because of its ubiquity in our society as well as its ease of transmission, has perhaps the greatest potential among alternative therapies to reach people who do not otherwise have access to care.” Black women (especially in America) have had their fair share of trauma — past and present. Some would even say that most BW suffer from a form of PTSD. Author, and licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Monnica T. Williams says that African American women experience the same traumas as other women, but at higher rates. As we know, many Black folks are hesitant about seeking professional help for their trauma. There’s a deep rooted stigma related to therapy due to the fear of judgement or shame of not relying on God for help. A 2008 study by Psychologist Jennifer Alvidrez   found that “among Blacks who were already mental health consumers, over a third felt that mild depression or anxiety would be considered crazy” in their social circles. Talking about problems with an outsider  may be viewed as airing one’s “dirty laundry,” and even more telling is the fact that over a quarter of those consumers felt that discussions about mental illness would not be appropriate even among family.” Fortunately, that stigma is being debunked. Thanks to people like Dr. Joy Harden Bradford , a licensed psychologist based in Atlanta, Georgia and founder of Therapy for Black Girls, it’s much easier and more socially acceptable to seek help for mental matters. Music may not take the place of professional help, but it definitely aid and speeds up the healing process.
