Should the Judges Have Saved Casey Abrams?

Casey Abrams saw his life flash before his eyes last night. His American Idol life, that is. The bearded singer was surprisingly voted out by fans , following a lackluster Motown cover on Wednesday. Like the finalists before him, Casey was then given the chance to sing one more time in front of the judges in order to convince them to use their one-time “save” and keep him around. And it worked! In a decision that left Abrams visibly stunned – and audibly cursing at one point, watch the clip below – J. Lo, Randy and Steven told the contestant he was safe. Casey Abrams Sings for His Spot Two finalists will now be voted off next Thursday, and this summer’s Idol Live tour will include 11 singers instead of the customary 10. Did the judges make the right decision?

Teen Mom Throwdown: Jenelle Evans PUMMELS Britany Truett

Jenelle Evans has found a way to make Amber Portwood look stable. The Teen Mom 2 star got into it with some girl named Britany Truett this week, and you can’t even call it a catfight – it’s a one-sided, violent beating. With her loser friends cheering (and apparently filming) and yelling “get ‘er” and “that’s what you get,” Jenelle Evans laid into Britany again and again. Seriously, she landed like 20 blows to the face as Brit shrieked in pain. TOO FAR : This fight was over REAL fast, but Evans kept at it . It’s not quite clear what prompted this, but Jenelle, 19, clearly instigated it, spewing nasty insults before throwing down and pounding her senseless. After repeated shots to the face, with Britany bleeding and unable to defend herself, one of Jenelle’s idiot friends finally restrains her out-of-control ass. Sources close to the incident claim it had something to do with Jenelle’s boyfriend. You can watch the video here , but it’s more disturbing than funny. We’d lawyer up if we were Jenelle. And get a psych consult.

She adds, “I’m pulling for the guy.”

Will "One Shot" Case Keep Ronnie Magro From Filming Jersey Shore in Italy?

Will Ronnie Magro be allowed to film Jersey Shore’s fourth season in Italy despite the pending litigation against him? His lawyer is trying to make it happen. Joseph A. Raia told a judge that the reality star will submit an application for a pretrial intervention program in connection with a pending assault charge . The charge is in connection with an 18-month-old incident in which Ron cold cocked Stephen Izzo with one punch after an exchange at a Seaside Heights. The incident was broadcast in an episode titled, fittingly, “One Shot.” The court application would allow Ronnie to tape the show’s fourth season in Italy. While not admitting guilt, the applicant (Ron-Ron) just has to stay out of trouble for a defined time period (at least a year) to avoid a criminal record. Magro’s next court date is June 6. It’s unknown if his bid will be accepted, but hard to see him being denied the right to film abroad for a few weeks. Follow the jump to see the fight … Jersey Shore – One Shot Fight

Dr. Conrad Murray Blames Dr. Arnold Klein For Michael Jackson Drug Addiction

Charged with involuntary manslaughter, Dr. Conrad Murray will likely argue that Michael Jackson killed himself with a lethal dose of Propofol. Even if that were true (and it’s a stretch), it still wouldn’t get Murray off the hook. The treatment he gave MJ was suspect for myriad reasons. To that end, Murray’s lawyers just filed documents pointing fingers at none other than Dr. Arnold Klein – Jackson’s longtime doctor and friend. Murray claims that Klein addicted Jackson to Demerol and other powerful narcotics. It’s part of his plan to establish Michael as a lost cause physically . Murray’s legal team claims Klein fueled MJ’s addiction as recently as 2009 by giving him scores of Demerol injections in the months prior to his death. He may have a point there. In the months before Jackson died, Dr. Arnold Klein gave Jackson 51 Demerol injections. But is it relevant to the case? The docs claim it is for this reason: “Due to Mr. Klein’s actions, Mr. Jackson became physiologically and psychologically dependent on Demerol.” Murray’s team says Dr. Arnold Klein , who is also the rumored biological father of MJ’s kids Paris and Prince, “is a relevant, highly material witness.” Dr. Conrad Murray …

Nate Dogg’s Death Was ‘A Crushing Blow,’ Warren G Says

‘I’m hurting,’ Warren tells MTV News after raucous SXSW tribute to late friend. By James Montgomery Kurupt and Warren G Photo: MTV News On Saturday night at South by Southwest, Warren G , Daz, Kurupt and Snoop Dogg paid homage to their late friend Nate Dogg with a raucous tribute show that celebrated the music of a man who lived every day to the fullest. And while the mood onstage was definitely joyous — the quartet performed many of the songs Nate leant his voice to, in a poignant tribute to his talents — backstage at Austin’s Venue 222, things were much more muted. In fact, when Warren G spoke to MTV News about his late cohort, he didn’t hide the fact that he (and everyone who ever knew Nate Dogg) was still hurting inside. In fact, starting with the moment he heard the news of Nate’s passing, things have been far from normal. “I was out on the Sweat Tour with Snoop, and we had got the word from his family on what was going on, and it was just a crushing blow for us,” Warren said. “Just, from going to see him and lifting his spirits up when he was in therapy, and stuff like that, it’s just crazy for that to happen. And I still don’t believe it, you know what I’m saying? “It kind of hurts me when I look at this shirt [the organizers of the SXSW tribute show sold Nate Dogg T-shirts, with proceeds going to the late singer’s family], it’s like, ‘Damn, that’s my homeboy on this shirt,’ ” he continued. “And I’m hurting, and you know, a lot of people are showing tons of support for his family, for his homeboys, and we really and truly appreciate that. It’s real love.” And though they took the stage that night with a heavy heart, Warren and his cohorts also did it knowing that their friend was with them in spirit, and that by honoring his music, they were also honoring a man they all knew and loved. “It means a lot, you know, because this is something that’s being done for a person that we really love. It’s deeper than music, that’s a brother to us, to me and Kurupt and Snoop and Daz … it’s really deeper than that,” he said. “I mean, like, I’m not a psychic or a genie or a gypsy or anything, but I know deep down in my heart he’s around us, he’s with us … he’s with us in spirit. Everything we do, he’s a part of it.” Related Photos 2011 SXSW Music Festival Nate Dogg: A Life In Photos Related Artists Nate Dogg Warren G
