Robert Pattinson Defends Kristen Stewart, Slams "Nerds on Blogs"

Ouch, Robert Pattinson. Ouch . Speaking to Entertainment Weekly for its upcoming Eclipse cover story, the gorgeous actor was asked about Kristen Stewart’s comments last month, where she compared the paparazzi to rapists . While Kristen herself saw the error in her word choice and maturely apologized for it, Rob stood up for his rumored girlfriend and pointed the finger at, well… us. “That whole system of Internet journalists, where no one is called to account, is almost entirely about hate,” he said “All these people get away with doing it because they have no responsibility to anyone… there are so many little nerds behind their computers, on their little blogs.” Don’t worry, Kristen. Rob has your back. Pattinson may have a decent point overall, but this wasn’t the ideal topic to express it over. Stewart clearly over-stepped with her reference to “rape” and can often come across as ungrateful for her lot in life. But she dealt with that issue herself in the aforementioned apology and this doesn’t seem to be a battle she needed her man to fight on her behalf. The pair were seated next to one another during this interview, though, and it did lead to one of Stewart’s funniest points to date. After Rob finished his rants, she said: “See, if I said that? Crucifixion. You can say so much more than me. It’s insane…you could say, ‘I just took a s***on the Queen’s face,’ and people would be like, ‘Oh, I love him! I love him!'” Ha! She’s totally right. P.S. Rob, we prefer to be labeled as “geeks,” thank you very much!

Lil’ Cease Says Nicki Minaj’s Lil’ Kim-Inspired Style Is True ‘Homage’

‘I’m sure she’s got some things from Kim, but Nicki’s setting her own lane,’ Cease says of the female MCs’ rivalry. By Shaheem Reid Lil’ Cease, Lil’ Kim pose with Jay-Z Photo: MTV News Lil’ Cease thinks nothing’s wrong with one MC paying homage to another MC. “All of us had an influence in the game,” Cease said when he visited MTV News earlier this week. “We all came up listening to somebody, so it’s not bad to say it.” And Cease is like most hip-hop fans: He’s been keeping an eye on the unfolding Lil’ Kim/ Nicki Minaj controversy . The Queen Bee has come out swinging, claiming the voluptuous Young Money Barbie bit her fashion style without paying homage. Kim also accused Minaj of sneak-dissing on songs like the Diddy-Dirty Money “Hello, Good Morning” remix , taking exception to the line “Did I kill the Queen?” “When I heard about that, I didn’t have no real reaction to it,” Cease said of the flap. “At the end of the day, it’s a real competitive sport in hip-hop. Kim is one of them people. No matter how you look at her, as an icon or whatever, she’s definitely [an icon]. But she’s also an MC. She feels like she still maintains that [top] spot. She still feels like she holds that spot. You can’t knock her for that. But the paying homage thing, when I seen Nicki Minaj with the green hair, when I seen her do similar pictures that Kim has done — I look at that as paying homage. I saw other things where Nicki did pay homage; she said some [complimentary] things about Lil’ Kim. “But we don’t know what’s going on,” Cease added. “We don’t read between the lines like MCs do. Kim probably sees or hears things none of us probably sees or hears. She’s just making her judgment from what she’s seeing. We can’t knock her for that. At the end of the day, Nicki is Nicki. She’s building her own lane. She’s doing what she’s gotta do. She’s hot, she’s sexy. I’m sure she’s got some things from Kim, but [Nicki’s] setting her own lane … But Kim’s got a right to her opinion, she’s got a right to say how she feel. I’m used to Kim being that way. She’s very aggressive. If she feels like she ain’t getting the proper respect, she’s gonna speak her mind.” In the past few weeks, Kim has spoken out often about Minaj, while Nicki has remained silent. But Diddy , a host of female MCs and Drake have weighed in on the feud. On Tuesday morning, Drake told Houston radio station 97.9 the Box that he had nothing to say in response to Lil’ Kim calling him a “punk” in an interview with Thisis50.com. The Brooklyn MC was irate after Drake spoke out, during a concert, against her jabs at Nicki. “Nicki’s got records climbing the charts,” Drake said Tuesday, as he celebrated his debut album’s official release. “Today, Thank Me Later is out. It’s just about relevant people today.” Do you agree with Cease? Has Nicki Minaj paid homage to Kim by sampling some of her looks? Tell us what you think in the comments! Diddy On Lil’ Kim/ Nicki Minaj Flap: ‘It Ain’t No Beef’

‘I love Lil’ Kim,’ the mogul tells the BBC, adding, ‘Nicki never did anything to her. ‘ By Mawuse Ziegbe Diddy Photo: Getty Images Lil’ Kim may not be feeling Diddy or Nicki Minaj , who Diddy is rumored to be managing, but the rapper and hip-hop exec says he’s still cool with the Queen Bee. Kim’s recent outbursts about the Young Money Barbie and the Bad Boy mogul have been grabbing headlines, but Diddy isn’t letting the star’s words get to him, saying he still has mad love for Kim. “I want to say I love Lil’ Kim, man,” Diddy told the BBC’s Tim Westwood on Friday (June 11). “I’m sorry that she’s mad. I never would have thought that by me working with another artist that she would take it the wrong way. But if she’s taking it the wrong way it ain’t meant like that. Nicki never did anything to her.” Kim has sounded off about Minaj in a variety of outlets, including a recent interview posted on ThisIs50.com . “For the last year, she’s been subliminally taking shots at me, subliminally taking shots at the other girls in the industry. I mean, come on, we read that interview where she said, ‘Oh, being that the other rap chicks in the game ain’t got sh– to do right now, when I’m by the pool, they can feed me grapes,’ I remember that sh–,” Kim told the website. “The last thing she did that was very subliminal, ‘Oh, did I kill the Queen?’ and Puffy is sitting right next to her vibing with that bullsh–. Come on, we ain’t stupid. It’s obvious that she likes my music and that she’s trying to mimic what I’m doing, she’s subliminally busting shots.” Kim also talked about her feelings to Philadelphia radio personality Kendra G . “All females that come in the game, we all need to stick together, and I always try my best to embrace them. But what happens is when you come into the game and realize that I’m not going away and my fans are still here and they can’t just step over me. They can’t just step on me and then they’re kinda like, they get upset and then they don’t want to be my friend anymore and I think that’s really childish, you know what I’m saying? It’s stupid because all I ask for is to be respected — pay homage at the end of the day.” While Diddy maintained his love and respect for Kim, he went on to defend Minaj, insisting that the Queens hitmaker has shown the Queen Bee nothing but respect. “She ain’t trying to swagger-jack or say nothing negative about her. I just think that Kim needs to just understand that Nicki as a whole has always been respectful of her and Nicki’s not trying to be her,” Diddy said. “I ain’t gonna make no apologies for working with Nicki Minaj. [She is] somebody that’s never said anything negative about Kim and just really has always, in my eyes, has paid homage to Kim. She’s a different MC. They don’t even talk about the same thing. If you’re like a connoisseur of MCs and you a specialist — like what Kim has talked about and what Nicki talks about — they don’t talk about the same things.” The mogul also suggested that Kim’s vocal attacks on the “Massive Attack” rapper are a ploy to build buzz as she prepares to drop a new project. “Kim is gonna be a MC and MCs when they coming back out a lot of times they like to talk crazy and do what they do, ” he said. “At the end of the day, everybody respects Lil’ Kim for being the Queen Bee.” Diddy may be cooking up some heat in the lab with Nicki Minaj, but despite their budding professional relationship, the hip-hop Bad Boy continues to maintain his support for both MCs. “We riding with Nicki and we still riding with Kim,” he said. “We love and respect the days and the history that we’ve had with Lil’ Kim. It ain’t no beef.” Related Artists Diddy Lil’ Kim Nicki Minaj
