Britney Spears Legal Team Cites "Medical Issue" as Basis for Conservatorship

Something is wrong with Britney Spears. Observers have been saying this about the singer for years, dating way back to 2007 when she shaved her head and attacked the paparazzi with an umbrella – but now actual legal representatives for the superstar are making it official. Britney’s lawyers filed documents in court today relating to her four-and-a-half year conservatorship, requesting that certain records remain sealed because they are “highly sensitive” and would cause “irreparable harm and immediate danger” if released. Sources tell TMZ the documents in question are of medical nature and they concern Spears’ condition and treatment . Yes, Britney is doing “extremely well” these days, the insiders confirm, but her unidentified disorder can affect her personality and state of mind. As a result, there are no plans to end the conservatorship, which consists of Jamie Spears and Jason Trawick sharing responsibility for Britney’s personal life, while a more general business conservatorship handles the star’s fortune and career opportunities.

Robert Pattinson Volunteers to Walk Red Carpet with Kristen Stewart

He’s a good guy, that Robert Pattinson. Faced with numerous opportunities to bash Kristen Stewart over the past couple weeks, the actor has refrained, most recently appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live and discussing everything in his life except the woman that broke his heart. And now comes the following news: Sources tell The Sun that Pattinson has volunteered to walk the red carpet alongside Stewart at November’s Breaking Dawn premiere. For what reason? “To save her from embarrassment and any female fans booing her,” according to the insider. “He is being professional and taking the higher moral ground.” That’s for sure. Stewart is reportedly breaking down herself over the couple’s split, and we can understand why: Pattinson really does appear to be just that awesome. The costars also expected to present together at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 6. Will that go down as scheduled? Stay tuned.

Should Prince Harry Pose Naked in Playgirl?

Millions of people around the world have already seen Prince Harry naked . So why shouldn’t the young man now make some funny off his royal jewels? So goes the thinking at Playgirl , as publisher Vincent Stevens tells E! News that his magazine would love to pay Harry to take it all off once again. “You’re talking about six figures right off the bat,” Stevens says how much Harry could earn. “He’s appealing to a lot of people because, although he’s from the royal family, there’s sort of this untamed nature to him… that’s something that’s really attractive to our readers and to the general public… He’s just a free spirit.” Playgirl has not yet contacted the prince, but Stevens readily admits that “a million dollars isn’t out of the question” for the shoot. A million! For a few hours’ worth of work! With the royal family reportedly furious at Harry for his birthday suit-clad shenanigans, we doubt this will actually take place. But, come on, if it’s good enough for Levi Johnson … SHOULD PRINCE HARRY POSE IN PLAYGIRL?

Justin Theroux celebrated his 41st birthday Saturday, but the actor-screenwriter had other plans that he’d been dying to follow through on for some time: Getting engaged to Jennifer Aniston . On August 10, the pair of 15 months sat at a corner table at Blue Hill restaurant in Manhattan, but the celebration was just getting started. He proposed, and she gave him “an extraordinary gift” by accepting. “He’s been dying to do it,” says a Theroux pal of popping the question. “His friends knew it was coming for months.” Immediately after Aniston’s heartfelt yes, “Jen cried” and called her dad, a confidante says, adding that Theroux’s proposal was “simple.” “Everyone is really excited for them,” adds a source. “It’s amazing to see how happy Justin has made Jen since they first got together, and everyone was always hoping that he would propose.” Friends say that Justin is a perfect match for Jen. “They have the same low-key attitude about life,” says a member of the duo’s inner circle. “They just click and complement each other.” [Photo: WENN.com]

Now that Jennifer Aniston is engaged to Justin Theroux , the question is when they’ll get married – and whether they’ll beat Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie! Not that it matters, of course – both Jen and Brad wish each other the best and don’t play into the supposed rivalry celebrity gossip magazines love. But it’s fun to speculate, and it seems hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux won’t get hitched first, even if they’ve been engaged for 48 hours. Brad and Jen got together in 1998, then married in 2000. In 2005, they announced their separation after 4 1/2 years of marriage – the first marriage for both. Brad first met Angelina on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2003. While the couple have six children – Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 3 – Brad only popped the question earlier this year. Pitt claimed for years that he wouldn’t get married again until gay marriage was legal everywhere, but then proposed in something of a surprise move. There was talk that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would get hitched this past weekend, actually, though it turned out to be just that … talk. Bogus talk. Our friends over at YTD set out to find the answer to this question, taking the physical stats of past AVN Performer of the Year winners and cross-referencing them against the thousands of stars in Mr. Skin’s celebrity database. In the end, they discovered that the perfect porn performer (and therefore, one might surmise, the ideal sexual partner) would have the height, weight, age, measurements, hair color, home state, and zodiac sign of Jessica Alba . Careful Mike, you know how “these folks” get… Michael Vick Says He Wants To Own Another Dog For His Children According to TMZ reports : NFL star Michael Vick wants to own a dog again — and five years after his conviction for illegal dog fighting, he can legally get one — but the question is … should he? The Philadelphia Eagles QB was on Piers Morgan’s show last night, and said he would like to get a dog for his kids. After Vick served 19 months in federal prison … he was banned from owning dogs for 3 years. That ban is about to expire, and Vick thinks having a dog could be “therapeutic” … for his children. He told Piers, “I can’t take that dream away from them. That’s selfish on my behalf.” One positive? Vick says he won’t let his kids get a pit bull. Let’s keep it real. There is NO WAY that Michael “relapses” into his past behavior with animals. He has paid his debt to society and should be allowed to live his life, as he sees fit, without persecution. That’s the question we’re now forced to ask, as Us Weekly sources report that an unexpected feud is brewing in Hollywood: Andrew Garfield vs. Robert Pattinson ! Simply put… “Andrew can’t stand Rob,” the tabloid insider claims. “Andrew hates that they’re put in the same category because they’re both English and around the same age.” And Pattinson isn’t itching to befriend the latest superhero star either, allegedly, as each attended the wedding of producer Kevin Turen on June 23, but “spent much of the night ignoring each other,” according to a witness, who added: “They don’t enjoy hanging out. Andrew considers himself a ‘serious actor’ and sees Rob as the equivalent of a cheesy boy bander because of Twilight .” Ouch. Zing and a half! Will Robert soon fire back? He is in a fighting mood these days, recently calling out whoever came up with the nickname R. Patt .
