Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, is NOTHING sacred anymore?!?! A Decatur man who turned himself in to police Thursday has been charged with fatally shooting an Atlanta woman following a funeral. Kelvin S. Bradley, 26, allegedly shot Tomika Webb after the woman got into an altercation with mourners who had just attended funeral services. The man they were mourning was shot and killed one week earlier in front of the same Addison Place residence where Webb, 36, was found dead last Friday, Channel 2 Action News reports. According to Atlanta police, Webb had come to the funeral to confront someone. It’s unclear what prompted the dispute. As tempers flared, Webb attempted to flee in her Nissan Maxima but didn’t make it far, crashing into a few other vehicles before coming to a stop, police said. APD spokeswoman Kim Jones said Webb had gotten into an argument with a man, believed to be her alleged killer, prior to her death. Bradley is being held at Fulton County Jail. This story is just sad. Sad for the family attending the funeral. Sad for the family that just lost a sister, daughter, cousin, friend, behind this foolishness. We have GOT to stop killing each other. Period! Source

Mike Starr, the former bassist for Alice in Chains and a cast member on Celebrity Rehab in 2009, has died. He was 44 years old. The musician’s body was found in a Salt Lake City home this afternoon. Mike Starr Pictures Starr, who left the aforementioned band in 1993, was arrested last month for felony possession of a controlled substance, as Utah police say he had six Xanax pills and six Opana pills on him when he was busted. Says Mike’s dad to TMZ: “It’s a terrible shock and tragedy,” while Dr. Drew Tweeted in: “Devastating to hear of Mike Starr succumbing to his illness. So very sad. Our prayers are with his family.”

Jurors in the so-called “Harlem Kevorkian” trial have agreed that the stabbing death of a Long Island motivational speaker was a murder — and that the killer doesn’t get a break under the state’s “assisted suicide” exemption. The guilty verdict came four hours after deliberations began on the fate of hired-knife Kenneth Minor. Both prosecutors and the defense had agreed that debt-plagued victim Jeffrey Locker had cruised through Harlem’s streets two years ago, soliciting what he called “a Kevorkian.” Minor took the job — plunging a knife into Locker’s chest six or seven times as the two sat in Locker’s car on Paladino Avneue, and getting Locker’s ATM card and pin number as payment. Locker had staged the fatal “mugging” so that his family in Valley Stream could collect on some $17 million in insurance policies, both sides had agreed. But Minor downplayed his role in the stabbing, claiming that he merely helped hold brace the knife against Locker’s steering wheel as the distraught man thrust himself on it some half-dozen times. And while defense lawyer Daniel Gotlin argued that assisting a suicide is not an act of murder under state law, prosecutor Peter Casolaro counters that Minor was too active a participant in Locker’s death — and that you can’t stab someone to death just because they ask you to. SMH…: PALMDALE — A 5-month old boy stabbed by his teenage father during a child abduction in Palmdale has died, authorities say. Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of a child abduction in Palmdale at about 11:00AM, Tuesday. An Amber Alert was issued for the child and his father, 17-year old Christopher Earl Glass, around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. According to the alert, Glass picked up his 5-month-old son from a relative’s home earlier today and drove to the child’s mother’s home. The two argued, and Glass drove off with the boy still inside his white SUV. Glass then allegedly sent a text message to the mother, threatening to stab the boy. At about 3:30 p.m. deputies who were searching for the baby saw Glass driving in the area and began to follow him. The deputies saw the suspect motion in a manner that appeared as though he was stabbing the baby as he drove his car. Attempting to get him to stop, deputies went in pursuit of the suspect’s vehicle. During a short chase, Glass slammed his SUV into a structure at the Palmdale Metrolink station. Glass got out of the car and ran, and deputies chased him on foot. Other deputies ran to the suspect’s car, picked up the baby, and raced him to the hospital in their radio car. Unfortunately, the baby was pronounced dead at the hospital. Other deputies pursuing Glass shot and killed the teenager as he broke into a nearby home Glass died at the scene. What is going on in this world? Source

We thought we had heard it all, but this sh*t right here… Candles used in voodoo sex ceremony caused a fatal five alarm fire after they tipped over and ignited bed sheets in a Brooklyn, New York, apartment, authorities said Friday. The fire left an elderly woman dead and injured 20 firefighters and three Brooklyn residents, according to a New York Fire Department statement. A voodoo priest allegedly placed the candles on the floor around the bed on Saturday after a woman paid him $300 to perform a ceremony with a sexual component, that was meant to bring her good luck, fire department officials said. The candles were accidentally knocked over during the ceremony prompting the man to douse the flames with water and open a window in an effort to clear smoke from the room, the statement said. Forty mile-per-hour wind gusts instead shot the flames back inside the room, it said, creating a “blowtorch effect” that whipped through the open window and pushed the fire into the building’s fourth floor hallway. “Time and time again we respond to tragedies that could have been so easily prevented,” Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano said in the statement. “This fire had so many of those elements … hopefully others will learn from this tragedy.” The occupants fled the apartment, leaving the door open, the statement said. Nearly 200 firefighters from 44 companies took seven hours to bring the fire under control. Authorities are currently investigating the incident. Thanks, but no thanks.
