We don’t think this is the kind of man-eating pu**y that Nelly Furtado was singing about… Police In Nepal Fear Man-Eating Leopard Has Killed 15 People Via CNN A ferocious leopard may have killed 15 people in Nepal in a 15-month span, its latest victim a 4-year-old boy that the creature dragged away into the jungle to eat. The head of boy was found in the forest a kilometer from his home Saturday morning, said Kamal Prasad Kharel, the police chief of the Baitadi district, an area about 600 kilometers (373 miles) west of Kathmandu. The grisly discovery, which came after teams of people searched for the child, marks the 15th victim in the past 15 months in that remote district in western Nepal. The police chief suspects that a single man-eating leopard is responsible for the deaths. If not, there are at most two of the man-eating creatures around, he believes. Maheshwor Dhakal, an ecologist at the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation in Kathmandu, agreed that it is unusual to find more than one or two man-eating animals in one area. Most leopards live on wild prey. Why are the leopards eating humans you ask? “Since human blood has more salt than animal blood, once wild animals get the taste of salty blood they do not like other animals like deer,” Dhakal said. Oh, so we’re just tastier than deers and whatnot, gotcha…SMH Of the 15 victims in Nepal so far, two-thirds are children below the age of 10. The others are older children and a 29-year-old woman who had gone to collect fodder for domestic animals in the nearby forest, a common practice in Nepal… …”In the case of the children it just leaves behind the head, eating everything, but some parts of the adult body are left behind because it cannot finish it,” Kharel added. There’s new information regarding the heartbreaking story of two young children who were stabbed to death by their nanny. According to RadarOnline reports : We’ve got new details for you in the case of Yoselyn Ortega, the Manhattan nanny accused of violently killing 6-year-old Lucia Krim and her 2-year-old brother Leo last week. The NY Post reported that the parents of the murdered children, Marina and Kevin Krim, had given the 50-year-old an ultimatum to do better at her job, or they’d find someone else. “She was told that if she didn’t improve her work, she would be let go,” an insider said, adding those close to the situation reported that the nanny was having mental and financial issues and looked unhealthy in the month prior to the double-murder. Police said Ortega told some she was planning on seeking psychological help, though it’s unclear if she did. “There was friction between her and the family,” police told The NY Post, adding the nanny was also enraged at the prospects of adding an extra five hours housework to her job duties for extra payment. “They were asking her to clean, to do housework. She was unhappy about that,” police sources told the paper, adding Ortega said the extra time would have cut into her doctor’s schedule. “She said something like, ‘I’m paid to watch the children, not clean up and do housework,’” the source told the paper of the nanny’s statements in the wake of the double murder. This doesn’t excuse what happened, but still it’s a far cry from the portrait the dad’s mother painted of her, saying the nanny was treated like gold. Does this make you nervous to let someone else take care of your kids?
14-Year-Old Boy Gets 25-50 Years In Prison AFter Fatally Shoots His Mother In Her Sleep A Detroit teenager who shot his mother multiple times while she slept before also attempting to shoot his younger sister has been sentenced to 25-50 years in prison. via News One A teenage boy has been sentenced to serve 25 to 50 years in prison for killing his 36-year-old mother in their Detroit home. Joshua Smith was sentenced Friday in Wayne County Circuit Court. The 14-year-old shot and killed Tamiko Robinson as she slept on Feb. 27. Police say the shooting followed an argument. Smith was charged as an adult and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in September. In a statement to police, Smith said he was tired of being called names. His stepfather’s shotgun was used to kill Robinson. The boy’s uncle, who was visibly distraught over his sister’s gruesome and untimely death, told reporters that despite his nephew’s unthinkable actions, he still considers him family and still plans to be there for him in the future. It was also revealed that family members believe the boy became troubled when his father was sent to prison earlier this year on murder charges. This is such a sad and unfortunate story all around. What the hell??? You can’t trust anyone these days. According to The New York Post , the children’s mother was at her three-year old’s swim practice and came home to a horrific scene. An Upper West Side nanny stabbed to death two small children who she was taking care of while their mother was out, then slit her own wrists in a failed suicide bid this afternoon, sources said. The children’s 36-year-old pediatrician mother came home from running errands at about 5:34 p.m. when she walked into the nanny — Yoselyn Ortega, 50 — in a pool of blood in the kitchen, sources told The Post. She rushed to the West 75th Street apartment’s bathroom, where she found her two youngest children, ages 2 and 6, with several stab wounds in their small bodies. “Something happened to my kids!” the sobbing mother screamed, according to a witness. The kids appeared to still be breathing when they were rushed to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, but they were pronounced dead on arrival. The mother — who was out with her 3-year-old child — was also taken to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt, where she had to be sedated, a source said. Ortega, who was is in police custody, was taken New York Presbyterian Hospital in critical but stable condition. The children’s father was on a plane from San Francisco and had not been told about his children’s death, a source said. A neighbor told The Post she heard “the mother screaming hysterically” when she arrived at the apartment. “It’s horrifying, it’s a very quiet building,” said the neighbor, who met the nanny for the first time yesterday and described her as “very quiet.” Hope the nanny makes it through the night so she can spend the rest of her life rotting in a cell. That’s a bad way to go out… Bullied 15-Year-Old Jumps In Front Of Train In Front Of Classmates Via NYPost A Staten Island teen who pals said had been relentlessly tormented by bullies leaped to her death in front of a train yesterday as her classmates looked on in horror. The Huguenot Staten Island Railway station platform was packed with fellow students from Tottenville HS at around 3:15 when a sobbing Felicia Garcia suddenly broke away and jumped. She died at Staten Island University Hospital. Her sudden death came as a shock, but friends blamed bullying. “She got bullied in the school, especially by the football players, because she looked different and had piercings,” said senior Amanda Liquori. Another friend, who asked that her name be withheld, was at her side when she jumped and had no idea what she planning. That friend also said football players targeted Garcia. “She wouldn’t have done it if she wasn’t bullied,” another pal, Alissa Compitello, wrote on Twitter. “All this girl wanted was to be left alone. And nobody could do that for her.” Apparently bullying wasn’t the only pain in Felicia’s life. Gabriella Leone, whose younger sister witnessed the incident, said Felicia, who lived in foster homes, “had a terrible life on top of all the heartache — bullies at school taunted her and spread rumors. I hope all bullies get punished!” Felicia had written online of her depression. On her Instagram account, she had a picture of her eyes crossed over by the word “Depressed” with the caption, “Just because someone is smiling doesn’t make them happy.” Chancellor Dennis Walcott is in touch with the girl’s legal guardian, according to Department of Education spokeswoman Margie Feinberg. Two years ago, another Tottenville HS student killed himself at the same station. R.I.P. Felicia, remember, it’s never as bad as you think it is. Get help, don’t let bullying ruin your life. An arrest has been made and more is now known about the shooting at Creflo Dollar’s Atlanta church Wednesday and it’s likely to get you heated about the failures of our justice system. Via Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports : A man arrested Wednesday and charged with the fatal shooting of a prayer leader at World Changers Church International pleaded guilty to shooting a man a decade ago in Baltimore and was committed to a mental health facility there. Floyd Palmer, 52, calmly walked into a prayer service Wednesday morning at the College Park megachurch founded by the Rev. Creflo Dollar and opened fire as 20 to 25 people watched in horror. Greg McDowell, 39, fell mortally wounded and Palmer, a former church employee, “left just as calmly” as he entered, Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester said. The suspect left in a black Subaru station wagon and was in the vortex of a massive police search until he was arrested without incident at Lenox Square in Buckhead just before 4 p.m. Palmer, who resigned from the church in August for personal reasons, had been charged previously with attempted murder. In 2004 he pleaded guilty to assault charges and was deemed “not criminally responsible” and was committed, according to Maryland court records. Other records indicate that shooting occurred in 2001. Christine Singleterry, Palmer’s former mother-in-law, said Palmer shot a man following an argument at a Baltimore mosque. “He got him to go outside and then shot him in the parking lot,” said Singleterry. She said he served about 18 months in the mental facility and was released. She said the victim remains paralyzed. Singleterry said her daughter, who is now deceased, divorced Palmer in the 1990s because he was abusive. They had two daughters who are now grown. “He was mixed up and argumentative,” she said. Family members said he moved to Atlanta several years ago. Mack Simpson, who is married to Palmer’s sister, was shocked to hear the news. “That’s a shame,” he said. “This is the second time.” McDowell, a father of two young children, was a member of the church’s production crew and a facilities maintenance manager there, police said. Karen Webb, who had taken her mother to the church for Bible study, said she was told the victim was shot six times. “I brought my mother up here to go to church — every Wednesday she attends Bible study. As soon as we get here I’m told someone has been shot,” Webb said. “He was one of the praise leaders.” Dollar, a popular televangelist, started World Changers Ministries in 1986 with eight members, holding services in the cafeteria of a local elementary school, according to the church’s website. Its campus now occupies 81 acres, with services held in the 8,500-seat World Dome. Dollar is a regular on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Attempts to reach Dollar were unsuccessful. Ken Terry, a pastor at the church, called McDowell a “tremendous leader, role model and father.” He said McDowell had been a longtime member of the church. “He was faithful for a number of years. We have known him for years. Since he was a little kid.” Terry spoke of McDowell’s two sons. “He spent a tremendous amount of time with them. He was the model dad.” McDowell was described as an uplifting man, as evidenced by postings on his Facebook site. In 2010, McDowell wrote, “One of the most valuable assets we can possess is a positive attitude towards our lives. Your attitude is one of the first things people notice when they come in contact with you. Make it good.” Another time, he wrote, “Life’s too short not to enjoy it.” This man was allowed free after shooting someone, injuring him so badly that he was paralyzed and then he took a good man off this earth and away from his family? Aw hell naw. Somebody gotta pay. What the fawk is going on with our justice system that this is allowed to happen time and time again. It’s beyond time to get tough on violent convicts. SMH. Police Say Fiance Of Murdered Pregnant Woman Was Still Married In a disturbing twist to the story of the pregnant Brooklyn woman who was found stabbed to death the day before her wedding over the weekend, police have discovered that her fiance is still married. via The Grio The mystery surrounding the killing of a pregnant woman deepened Monday, as investigators looked into a strange note left at the scene and discovered that her fiance was still married to another woman. The body of Vindalee Smith, 38, was found Saturday morning in a pool of blood, a gaping hole in her neck. She was eight months pregnant and expected to deliver the boy in about two weeks, but the fetus did not survive. The death was ruled a homicide, but no arrests have been made. Smith, a devout Seventh-Day Adventist, had been planning to marry Anthony Jackman on Sunday in a small ceremony at her church. Most of her friends said they had not known her fiance long, if at all, and some didn’t know his name. But she could not have married Jackman legally because he has a wife in New Jersey. Police said the two are estranged, with Jackman living with his mother during the week and the wife living in their former home. SMH. Hopefully this family will have some answers sooner than later.
Cemetery Gives Mourning Mother Wrong Baby’s Body For Burial A Memphis woman who gave birth to a stillborn baby was forced to endure additional distress when she was given the wrong baby to bury upon arriving at the cemetery. via News One Veronica Miller delivered a stillborn baby at 33 weeks and was given the wrong body to bury by Memphis’ Shelby County Cemetery, reports the Daily Mail. The county cemetery, which is a government-sponsored potter’s field for those who cannot afford the expenses of a burial, was was recommended to Miller by the hospital where she delivered her daughter Malaysia. “The hospital convinced me that this was a wonderful place for babies,” she told WMCTV. Yet when Miller went to visit the burial grounds, she discovered that it was far from what she had been told by hospital personnel. “I wouldn’t bury my dog there,” Miller lamented. “We saw markers that were scattered out, came out the ground. I mean, how would I identify that this is where my baby is at?” The young Mom then made the request to have her child’s body removed from the cemetery and turned over to a funeral director. Smh.
