Race Matters: 25 Black People Forced To Leave S. Carolina Wing Place Because White Guest Felt “Threatened”!

You’ve got to be fawking kidding us! South Carolina Restaurant Forces 25 Blacks To Leave Because White Patron Felt Threatened Via ProgressivePopulist A group of 25 African Americans waited two hours to get in a Wild Wing Cafe restaurant in North Charleston, South Carolina, only to be asked to leave almost immediately after entering the restaurant because a white patron felt “threatened” by them. One member of the group took his complaint to Facebook when the corporate office of the restaurant did not call him back. Michael Brown was one of those 25 customers. They were there to send off Brown’s cousin, who was leaving the Charleston area. After finally being seated after the two hour wait, the shift manager came to the table and told the group that there was a “situation.” According to Brown: She (the shift manager) said there’s a situation where one of our customers feels threatened by your party, so she asked us not to seat you in our section, which totally alarmed all of us because we’re sitting there peaceably for two hours. Obviously, if we were causing any conflict, we would have been ejected out of the place hours before. A member of Brown’s group then begin to videotape the situation. That’s when the shift manager asked them to leave and refused to seat them. As Brown explained: I asked her – I want to be clear with you. I said, so you’re telling me I have to leave. She said I have a right to deny you service. I said so you’re asking me to leave because you’re upset because he was recording you, after we’ve waited for two hours, and after you’ve already pretty much discriminated on us, and she answered yes. Brown said that he called the Wild Wing Cafe corporate office several times, and did not get a response. That’s when he and others in his group decided to publicize the racial discrimination that his group received on Facebook. I will never go to Wild wings cafe in N. Chs again! We (Party of 25 family and friends) waited 2hrs, patiently and were refused service because another customer (White) felt threatened by us. This type of racial discrimination is un acceptable and we have to put a STOP TO IT. The manager looked me dead in the face and said she was refusing us service because she had a right to and simply she felt like it. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT… PLEASE SHARE THIS POST.. We need your help. The Wild Wings Facebook pages responded with this statement: In light of recent discussions, we would like to make clear that Wild Wing Cafe welcomes and caters to customers of every background, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or age. We are proud to be a place where people from all walks of life can meet, relax and have a good time. Our corporate policy and ethics won’t stand for anything otherwise. We have been in contact with the person who has made us aware his experience was less than satisfactory, and are continuing to speak with him to reach a solution. After Wild Wings offered a free meal to everyone in the party Michael Brown replied: We weren’t coming there for a free meal. When we came there that night, we were coming to patronize the business. This is not a situation where you can just give us a free meal and everything is ok because it’s deeper than that. Ain’t that about a beyotch? These creepy azz…folks think they can practice racism, then offer us more chicken to make amends for their bigotry. SMH Continue reading

They say three men began hurling homophobic and racist slurs at their group before physically assaulting them. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said the argument began when one of the men kissed Billie James-Vogel, and words were exchanged between the husband and that man. Jacob James-Vogel suffered a black eye and a head injury; his wife had a broken toe and other bruises.  Kelly said one person had been arrested, and police were still investigating. “We’re still looking at it as a possible hate crime,” Kelly said. Turn The Other Cheek: Redskins Swirlin’ QB RGIII Claims He Wasn’t Happy That ESPN Fired Rob Parker For Calling Him A “Cornball Brotha”

He’s better than us, we might have popped a bottle… If you recall back in December Rob Parker questioned RGIII’s “blackness” on ESPN First Take and was subsequently given a boot to the a$$. RGIII kept mum about the situation for the most part, but decided to let GQ in on his thoughts surrounding the matter… Robert Griffin III Says He Did Not Want To See Rob Parker Get Fired From ESPN Via GQ It’s this bio—a military brat with a white wife (they got married in July), a bright and ambitious 23-year-old black man who frequently mentions law school and post-football political aspirations but refuses to name his political orientation—that has fascinated so many people and confused not a few others. None more so, perhaps, than Rob Parker, a former commentator on ESPN’s First Take. One day last December, after RG3 had given an interview in which he said, for about the millionth time, that he didn’t want to be “defined” by his race, Parker shocked even his co-commentator, Stephen A. Smith (impressive!), when he said, “My question, which is just a straight honest question: Is he a brother, or is he a cornball brother?… He’s black, he kind of does his thing, but he’s not really down with the cause. He’s not one of us.” The comments leaped off the show and into the national conversation, sparking an ugly debate about RG3′s “blackness.” Parker was suspended and eventually let go. Now, in the Redskins weight room, I notice RG3 giving me a look as he mouths the lyrics to the song he’s just cued up, like he wants to make sure I notice. I’m labeled a thug because I come from the gutter / Robert made it out now he a cornball brother—what? / That was such a stupid argument / Now Rob Parker working at the supermarket, ha!!! It’s called “Changed the Game,” and it’s by Quistar, a rapper from Waco, Texas, who knows Griffin from their high-school days. Who still says “Down for the cause,” dawg, it’s 2013 / Would you say that’s a slap in the face to Martin Luther King’s dream. I laugh and RG3 cracks a big satisfied grin back. When I express surprise that I haven’t heard the song, his answer is unexpected. “I haven’t blown the song up, because I don’t think it’s right to make fun of Rob Parker for losing his job,” he says. “There’s some wrong in what he said, but there’s some wrong in him losing his job as well. And I don’t want people to think that I, you know, that I’m trying to stick it to Rob Parker, or that I’m happy he lost his job. But I was very unhappy with the things he said. I mean, why did he say that?” Yeah Rob, why DID you say that dumb isht? RGIII is a good kid and this was probably the right thing to say, but I think we all know the truth about how he REALLY felt… Image via GQ

Praise Caucasian Jesus! Paula Deen Wins Racial Discrimination Lawsuit After Judge Rules Ex-Employee Can’t Sue Because She’s White!

Ain’t that bout a beyotch! Paula Deen Wins Racial Discrimination Lawsuit Via TMZ reports: In one of the most supremely ironic court decisions in a long time, a judge just threw out the racial discrimination claim filed against Paula Deen — the very lawsuit that destroyed the famous chef. A judge just ruled … Lisa Jackson had no right to claim racial discrimination, BECAUSE SHE’S WHITE! Any comments that Deen or her cohorts may have made had no legal consequence to her, because she’s simply not the right color. Jackson made a tenuous argument that someone in her family was bi-racial — something that may not be true at all. But the judge said even if it were true, she was at best an “accidental victim.” Short story — Jackson ruined Paula with a bogus claim. The case goes on, because Jackson also claims sexual discrimination, and so far there’s not basis to doubt that she’s a woman. Paula Deen may have won the lawsuit but her butter-ball empire is still destroyed. Welp!

Ho Sit Down: Fox Sports Columnist Compares White Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel To Civil Rights Icon Rosa Parks!

9 times out of 10 making comparisons between social/civil injustice and ANYTHING else will end badly. Columnist For Fox Sports Makes Comparison Between Rosa Parks And Johnny Manziel For those that are unaware, Texas A&M star quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny “Fooball” Manziel landed in hot water this week for alleged NCAA rules infractions. Manziel is accused of getting paid for signing autographs. This is a direct violation of the strict standards of amateur sports that state that athletes are not to be paid, compensated, nor given favor for their services. Now that you have some context, read the bullisht that this silly broad wrote. Via FoxSports Once upon a time in this country, there were ugly, racist, tyrannical rules dictating where a black person could sit on a bus. There were all kinds of these laws, actually, created and defended by the racists who benefited from them. What kick-started change was an average, everyday woman named Rosa Parks, who had grown tired of being tired. Hers was not the first protest, nor was it particularly the best. It was merely the tipping point for many Americans long since tired of these immoral laws. On a much less historically significant scale, so it is with Johnny Football — and no, this is not intended in any way to compare the vast evil of Jim Crow to an incompetent NCAA investigation, or to slings from TV commentators. It is intended to say, wrong is wrong. Why so many came to Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel’s defense after a ticket broker went to ESPN with allegations that Manziel had broken NCAA rules and accepted payment for his autograph was because we recognize the immorality and absurdity of a system where everybody can make money off these kids except these kids. Uh, lady, comparing Jim Crow and some spoiled white kid is EXACTLY what you just did, and it’s a pretty f***ing stupid comparison seeing as how they are NOTHING alike! Karma Is A Baby Mother: Is Lamar Odom’s Ex Gleefully Subtweeting As Khloe Suffers Humiliation Over Cheating Scandals?

It’s no secret that Liza Morales , Lamar Odom’s ex and the mother of his kids, is no fan of his wife but do you think Khloe Kardashian-Odom deserves to be kicked while she’s down? The reason we ask is we couldn’t help but notice a few not so innocent tweets on Liza’s page. Not that nasty — but what exactly is this “truth” that Liza is referring to? The fact that Lamar’s marriage with Khloe is a sham? The truth that Lamar ain’t isht? Liza might as well go ahead and be REALLY messy since clearly these tweets are about her ain’t isht ex! Mariah Carey Tells Oprah A Childhood Story About Getting Spit On In Racist Attack On A School Bus!

It’s sad that people would act that ugly… Mariah Carey Tells Story Of Getting Spit On In Racist Attack Via Yahoo! Mariah Carey wasn’t about to close her eyes to the past when discussing racism and the making of “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” during a press conference at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Monday, also attended by Oprah Winfrey and the much of the film’s ensemble cast. Carey recalled she was riding on a Long Island school bus when a student spit on her when she was a child because of the color of her skin. And the foul memory came flooding back while she was making “The Butler.” In the movie, Carey plays the mother of Cecil Gaines (Forest Whitaker), a character based on the White House Butler Eugene Allen, who served presidents for 34 years and retired in 1986. In the early scene of the sweeping period drama about America’s tumultuous racial past as seen through the butler’s eyes, a dissolute plantation owner’s son rapes Mariah’s Georgia sharecropper. Immediately afterwards, the rapist shoots her husband dead in front of their son, Cecil, who has goaded his father to protest the violence against his mother. As traumatic as Mariah’s scene and its aftermath is, what apparently disturbed the singer/actress most was the recreation of the Woolworth’s Lunch Counter sit-in located in North Carolina in 1960. In that emotional moment in the struggle for racial equality, a white woman spits on a black college student (Yaya Alafia) simply for asking to be served at the whites-only counter. “That actually happened to me,” Carey said on Monday. “I know people would be in shock and not really want to believe or accept that, but it did. … That right there, that was almost the deepest thing to me in the movie because I know what she went through — and it happened to be a bus as well. It was a school bus.” Winfrey: “Where somebody spit on you?” Carey: “Yeah. In the face and in the same way.” The daughter of a white Irish American mother and an African American/Venezuelan father that raised her in “safe” suburban Long Island, Carey, 43, still didn’t grow up protected from racial bias. The song lyrics for “Close My Eyes” echo this experience: “I left the worst unsaid; Let it all dissipate; And I try to forget.” In the past, Carey has discussed the fact that her mother Patricia’s family disowned her for marrying a man of color in 1960. It was a rejection that Mariah felt very deeply. The racial tensions also had a negative impact on her parents’s marriage and they divorced when Mariah was three. Words can be hurtful, but there is nothing more disrespectful than spitting on somebody. Image via YouTube Continue reading
