Lady Gaga Feels She’s Been ‘Probed Endlessly’ About Who She Is

‘Judas’ singer goes on curse-filled rant in new issue of NME. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Lady Gaga is on the defense these days. Fans aren’t sure how they feel about her Born This Way cover art , and in the new issue of British music magazine NME , the singer felt the need to let the world know that she’s not some gimmick and her shtick is the real deal, protruding face bones and all. “Let me tell you something. If you f—ing rip my hairbow and my wig off my f—ing head, my shoes, my bra, every single thing on my body, and you throw me on a piano with a microphone, I will f—ing make you cry,” she proclaims in the magazine, which hits newsstands on Tuesday (April 19). On the cover , Gaga appears in a see-through body suit, with zippers over her lady parts, wearing heavy eye makeup, her now signature “BTW” prosthetics and a wig she wore in the “BTW” video. “I feel I have been probed endlessly about who the f— I am,” she continues. “I have been quite open about it. And still nobody seems to have a clue.” Gaga recently unveiled her second single, ” Judas ,” off her May 23 album release. Parts of the song may pay homage to some of her past hits, but it is certainly not the type of pop song that Katy Perry or Britney Spears would record. “I’m not going to start churning out what you expect,” she said. “If you want me to be a manufactured act, you can f— off.” The star also defended her prosthetics recently in Harper’s Bazaar . “Well, first of all, they’re not prosthetics. They’re my bones,” she said in the issue. “They’ve always been inside of me, but I have been waiting for the right time to reveal to the universe who I truly am. They come out when I’m inspired.” She mirrored that sentiment on her Twitter page on Tuesday, writing, ” Born This Way is who I am. An artist in a constant state of half-fantasy/half-reality at all times.” Related Photos The Evolution Of: Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga

Daniel Radcliffe Talks Terrifying ‘Woman In Black’

‘Apparently people were leaping out of their seats terrified,’ the ‘Harry Potter’ star says of a screening of the upcoming horror flick. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News Daniel Radcliffe is taking a turn for the terrifying in his first post-“Harry Potter” film, “The Woman in Black,” which is scheduled to premiere early next year. A teaser trailer for the movie hit theaters on April 11 and, while not giving away much in terms of the flick’s plot, it sets the stage for the horror film’s dark subject matter. MTV News caught up with Radcliffe recently to talk about his recent projects, and he admitted that “The Woman in Black” will likely terrify him.

Daniel Radcliffe Says Final ‘Harry Potter’ Press Tour Will Be ‘Weird’

‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’ actor will trade Broadway for red carpets when ‘Deathly Hallows’ premieres in July. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News The end is almost upon us. Over a decade after production on the first “Harry Potter” began, the final film hits theaters in July, and as J.K. Rowling promised Daniel Radcliffe , she’s not going to write more books about the boy wizard. That’s fine by Radcliffe, who has joked on many an occasion that he’s ready to leave the franchise behind, not least because there’d be something unseemly about playing Harry as the actor approached middle age. But he’s not done with “Potter” yet. There’s still the upcoming press tour for the second part of “Deathly Hallows,” which will require Radcliffe to step away from his new Broadway musical, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” for a few days. And, as he told MTV News recently, transitioning from one show-business world to another is going to be strange. “In a way, it will probably be weird to suddenly have to switch out of the mode I’m in for this show and then go and do press,” he said, adding with a laugh, “But I can do that. I’m very versatile!” Being able to jump from performing to plugging and back again, Radcliffe added, simply comes with the territory. “I think any actor that does a big film or even a show like this now without the expectation that they will have to do press for it is very naive,” he said. “It’s part of the job. It’s as much a part of the job almost as anything else.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Daniel Radcliffe To Star In Indie Comedy ‘The Amateur Photographer’

Christopher Monger, the Emmy-nominated co-writer of HBO’s ‘Temple Grandin,’ will direct. By Eric Ditzian Daniel Radcliffe Photo: Alberto E. Rodriguez/ Getty Images At the same time that Daniel Radcliffe readies to return to Broadway — previews of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” begin on February 26 — the 21-year-old actor is continuing to plot his post-“Harry Potter” career on the big screen. Radcliffe is now attached to star in “The Amateur Photographer,” an indie comedy from writer/director Christopher Monger, according to Variety . Monger shared writing credits on HBO’s “Temple Grandin,” the biopic that earned him an Emmy nomination and Claire Danes a Golden Globe win. Set in a New England mill town during the 1970s, the movie will follow Radcliffe as a young man who finds in himself an unlikely artistic streak when he begins photographing the “most intimate moments” of the townspeople’s lives, as Variety puts it, and ends up battling “local authorities while bringing a bit of a velvet revolution to the community.” Radcliffe has already wrapped production on his first film following the completion of the “Harry Potter” series. “The Woman in Black” is a thriller in which Radcliffe plays a lawyer who travels to a strange town filled with supernatural secrets. The Brit has also lined up another big-screen project in “All Quiet on the Western Front.” He’s set to play a German soldier during World War I when the production kicks off in the spring of 2012. And come July, he’ll be busy with promotional duties for the final part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” For now, though, Radcliffe is settling in on Broadway. After a month of previews, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” will officially open on March 27. Daniel Radcliffe Was Elated For ‘Time Off’ After ‘Deathly Hallows’

‘One side of us was very sad to finish it all but on the other hand we had been filming for a long time,’ ‘Harry Potter’ star admits to MTV News. By Kara Warner Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News There have been lots of stories about the sadness and tears shed in the final days of filming on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” and “Part 2.” But castmembers also felt a bit of relief at having capped off a decade of “Potter” with an intense shoot on the final two films. “Whenever people say, ‘Oh, you must have been really sad on that last day,’ I think, ‘Well yeah. We were all knackered,’ ” Daniel Radcliffe recently told MTV News . “We were also quite happy to have some time off.” (In fact, Radcliffe had little if any time off as he had to fly straight to New York to present at the Tony Awards with Katie Holmes after shooting wrapped.)

Daniel Radcliffe Thinks ‘Twilight’ Spoof Won’t Bother Robert Pattinson

‘You cannot be in a film as big as either “Potter” or “Twilight” and not have a pretty good sense of humor about yourself,’ he tells MTV News of ‘Simpsons’ cameo. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News Daniel Radcliffe has found Robert Pattinson’s rise to fame instructive. “I have no concept of what “Potter” looks like to the rest of the world, because I’m so involved in it,” Radcliffe once told us . “So to watch “Twilight” kind of explode globally had been fascinating.” Radcliffe also finds RPattz — his onetime “Potter” co-star — an appropriate target for some good-natured mockery. Earlier this month, the 21-year-old actor voiced a vampire character on “The Simpsons,” a pasty-faced heartthrob named Edmund directly inspired by Pattinson’s Twi-hunk Edward. Radcliffe hasn’t yet heard from his pal about the episode, but he’s pretty sure Rob didn’t mind the parody. “You cannot be in a film as big as either “Potter” or “Twilight” and not have a pretty good sense of humor about yourself,” Radcliffe told us. In the Halloween-themed episode, young Lisa Simpson falls for Radcliffe’s character after he saves her from an out-of-control school bus, a direct reference to the way in which Edward and Bella connect in “Twilight.” “I love your pallor,” Lisa coos. Radcliffe himself has found himself a “Simpsons” target in the past, with references ranging from a Homer Simpson pet pig named Harry Plopper to a religious-minded character noting Potter and his wizard pals are going to hell. “South Park,” too, has zinged “Potter”: During a send-up of “The Lord of the Rings,” one character mocks a group of kids for dressing up like the Hogwarts crew. Radcliffe thinks it’s all hilarious, and he’s sure RPattz does too. “I find it all so cool and funny and flattering,” he said. “I’m sure Rob’s got a sense of humor about [it]. “I’m sure I’ll be getting a bouquet of flowers,” he added. Daniel Radcliffe Comes Out: I’m Single!

So much for those Olive Uniacke rumors. Despite being romantically linked to that British party girl, the Harry Potter star tells the latest issue of Out that he’s single. “I was in a relationship with somebody for just about three years, and we broke up just shortly before we hit that mark. But [the breakup] was very amicable. At the moment, I’m just being single and running around chasing girls,” Radcliffe said, laughing. Elsewhere in the interview, Radcliffe makes it clear why he’s the rare child star unaffected by his early fame. How many people his age in general would have the following, mature viewpoints on gay marriage, politics and Hollywood? On Nick Clegg, England’s the Deputy Prime Minister : I’m a very big fan. I’ve actually met him, and I have to say he’s a really, really good man. I don’t agree with everything he says, but of all the party leaders, he was the one I voted for. I thought he was a great speaker and very charismatic and very statesmanlike. And I’m glad that he is still in a prominent position in British politics because I think he could make a great contribution. He comes from absolutely the right place in terms of what his values are. On the growing acceptance of alternative lifestyles : I think that with every generation, people become more open to those ideas and more aware and more educated. But it’s a really, really slow process. If you take any family with parents who are bringing their kids up in a narrow-minded way that includes homophobia, it will take a very profound moment of realization to change those deep-seated views. On recently visiting Hollywood… for the first time : People seem to have a very bizarre perception of me – that I’m a Hollywood actor. I don’t think of myself that way. And when I was out there and telling people it was pretty much my first trip, jaws just hit the floor. They were looking at me like I had two heads. Expect to hear a lot more from Radcliffe as he continues publicity for the November 19 release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows .
