Asheley Jewell, the daughter of Kandi Burruss’s late ex-fiance , is still in critical condition in a Georgia hospital after being shot in the head last weekend . And her family is actively seeking the public’s help in figuring out why. Friends and relatives of Asheley Jewell, the 15-year-old wounded in an apparent road rage shooting, will hold a candlelight vigil Saturday near the site of the shooting. Jewell, a Stephenson High School sophomore, was shot in the head and remains in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital. Jewell is the daughter of the late A.J. Jewell, a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” personality who died in 2009 after a fist fight outside an Atlanta strip club. About 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Fulton County police said, two vehicles were traveling on Old National Highway near Jerome Road when one started chasing the other. Shots were fired and Jewell, a passenger in the car being chased, was struck. No one else was hurt. Jewell was rushed to Grady and underwent surgery. “Investigators are looking into every possible motive as well as attempting to gain surveillance video from surrounding businesses for a closer description of the perpetrators’ vehicle,” Fulton detective Melissa Parker said. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 5549 Old National Highway in College Park. “The vigil is a step toward healing a family victimized by senseless violence,” said Jewell’s cousin, attorney Ebony Phillips. “It is also a call for justice in hopes that someone will come forward with invaluable information about this case. Although nothing can undo the events of March 5, 2011, the family is hopeful that justice will prevail.” Ashley “A.J.” Jewell died Oct. 2, 2009 after he and another man fought in the parking lot of the Body Tap, police said. A strip club employee was charged with voluntary manslaughter, but the charge was later dropped after it was determined Jewell died from a sickle cell crisis. Fans have been wondering what is next for the Disney star, and now it seems they will find out. According to Cambio.com , the singer will appear on the site Monday in “a special video message to all her fans.” “This will be the first time since leaving treatment that Demi will speak directly to her fans to thank them for their support,” the statement reads. “Demi is excited to be getting back to work and reuniting with her fans around the world.” The news comes on the heels of an interview in which her “Sonny With a Chance” co-star Brandon Mychal Smith confirmed that the show’s name was set to be changed to “So Random,” the name of the show the characters in “Sonny” work on. “With a show like ours, each season you focus on a different concept, a different theory, or maybe a different character’s background,” Smith said. “Season one, we established who we were — you saw some mini-sketches, you saw who the characters were and how they mingled and intertwined. Season two, you were able to see more of the relationship between Sonny and Chad and how they got into it and how we didn’t like it, and you saw some of Mackenzie Falls and that aspect. “And now, this season,” he continued, “you’ll be able to see ‘So Random,’ see why we are where we are today in regards to being the teen idols that we are. You’ll be able to see how we bring the funny every week.” With questions about what that means for Lovato and her role on the show, Disney told MTV News, “Demi’s management will inform us when she is ready to return to work. Last November, we announced that we would focus on our ‘So Random’ sketch-comedy show to keep the staff, cast and crew employed. We began production in January and will debut those episodes this spring. Crazy, we know…smh Mexican drug lords may be importing more than cocaine from the Andean region. It looks as if they’re also bringing in beauty queens and models as girlfriends. The latest case may be that of Juliana Sossa, the winner of a 2008 Colombian beauty pageant, who was arrested Tuesday alongside a man who’s accused of leading a drug gang. Sossa, 25, wore a bulky black parka and loose blue jeans when police took her on a perp walk, a far cry from the revealing swimwear that she dons in publicity videos posted on YouTube. Police said Sossa unwittingly helped them track down Jorge Balderas Garza, who’s known by the nickname “El J.J.” and is suspected of leading a drug gang, when she wrote on her Facebook page that she lives in the Bosques de Chapultepec neighborhood of Mexico City. Police said they knew Sossa was the alleged drug lord’s girlfriend. “I like modeling and I’ve participated in contests like Antioquia 2008 and others that are less well known,” Sossa wrote on her Facebook page, adding that she speaks Spanish, English and Italian. In addition to drug-trafficking charges, her boyfriend is accused of shooting Paraguayan soccer star Salvador Cabanas in the head in a Mexico City nightclub on Jan. 25, 2010. The news shocked Paraguayans, who’d hoped the star would lead the national squad to last summer’s World Cup. Though Cabanas recovered, his playing days are over. Moral of the story: Don’t date drug dealers. On Wednesday night at the People’s Choice Awards , the teen actress/singer won two awards. Lovato took home the Favorite TV Guest Star trophy for her cameo appearance on the ABC medical soap “Grey’s Anatomy,” while her hit Disney film, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” also was a winner in the Favorite Family TV Movie category. A rep for Lovato had no official comment regarding the Disney star’s honors. There is no word on when Lovato will be released from treatment, but a new season of her hit Disney show, “Sonny With a Chance,” is set to kick off this month. Right now, Disney plans to move forward with the season and focus on the show within the show, “So Random,” until its star is ready to return to work. “This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure,” a Disney Channel spokesperson told Variety in November. “Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues.” Lovato is still slated to hit the road for a solo tour sometime this year to promote her forthcoming album. She recently talked with The Associated Press about her plan to keep ticket prices low for the tour. “I have best friends that aren’t in the industry and are dealing with just buying groceries and things like that, so I want to do my part,” she said. Before she entered treatment, Lovato discussed her new music with MTV News, sharing that she hoped to go in a more urban direction with it. “I would love for Drake to be on the album,” she said. “It’s kind of like a pipe dream.
