Exclusive: “To Rome For Love’s” Celebrity Chef Gina Neely On Split From Hubby Of 20 Plus Years: “It Was A Business Relationship, Not A Marriage”

LOVE ITALIAN STYLE — Season:1 — Pictured: Gina Neely — (Photo by: Philippe Antonello/Bravo) “To Rome For Love” Airs Sunday Nights On Bravo! Celebrity chef Gina Neely revealed why she decided to look for her soul mate halfway around the world in her show “To Rome For Love.” The mom of two hosted a successful cooking show with then-husband Pat, “Down Home With The Neelys,” which ran for several seasons and spawned several cookbooks. But she said despite her material success, she was deeply unhappy in her marriage, and tried to leave Pat five times before finally filing for divorce. “Was Pat devastated when I left? I think yes,” Neely told BOSSIP. “But I finally had the strength to walk away…I think the show impacted our marriage. It was like a business relationship, not a marriage. I wanted that old school in love feeling. It was quality versus quantity. I gave him all I could, and I’m happy to be able to get on with my life.” After her split, she said she was still believed in love and wanted to find Mr. Right, but after being out of the dating game for so long, Neely said she wasn’t sure where to start. Bravo Media/ Philippe Antonello/ Ernesto Ruscio “I think this (“To Rome For Love”) was a great way to get out there,” Neely said. “I’m still a girl who still believes in love and wants love. I figured why not do it in a place where it was unfamiliar, be a little uncomfortable and have a new experience.” Although Neely stayed mum on whether she found new love on “To Rome For Love,” she said she was grateful for the experience, and realized just because she’s middle aged, doesn’t mean that she’s ended up on the shelf. I think my biggest takeaway from this experience is that this is a new part of my life,” Neely said. “I was with someone for 24 years. This is my time to have the life that I want, that I desire. This is my turn to do it, and I’m gonna do it. I’m 50, and this has been liberating.” She added: “You have to step out and take a leap of fait. you can’t just stop living because something didn’t work. You have to try something else and keep going.”

Exclusive: “Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s” Kenya Moore Dishes On Married Life, Shades “Crazy” Ex-Matt Jordan

Photo by Jennifer H. Cunningham Kenya Moore Gives Relationship Advice At The “Women Doing It Big” Conference In NYC “Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” Kenya Moore has opened up about her newlywed life with her husband, Marc – but not without blasting her personal trainer ex, Matt Jordan. Moore surprised fans late last year when she announced she’d eloped with Marc, a former pro-ball player and investment banker. And on Saturday at the annual “Women Doing It Big” conference, she told the several hundred women there that she was still getting the hang of married life. “Listen, I am a newlywed, and it’s new for me,” Moore said on a celebrity panel with actresses Elise Neal and Antonique Smith. “So I’m not the expert here. I’m figuring it out as I go. It’s more difficult for me because I split my time between Atlanta and New York. My husband and I, we do go back and forth. So, one week we’re in New York, one week we’re in Atlanta – one week we’re in Egypt.” Photo by Jennifer H. Cunningham However, Moore said having a husband who supportive of her and her career goals made the transition easier, even though she admits she’s an “alpha female.” “I learn so much from just listening and having him analyze different things for me,” she said. “So that is still difficult because I’m an alpha female. And being able to listen, and understand he does know more than me in this area. I just think it’s learning and experiencing things as they come and be open to it.” Moore encouraged the attendees not to give up on love, saying she got married at 46, and to never settle – but not without shading her ex, Matt Jordan, who was heavily featured on RHOA. “If he’s breaking your windows let him go,” she said. “Because around that corner, there’s a man that’s for you. You don’t have to settle for crazies and psychos and the kind of people who’ll drag you down and making you look crazy because your with crazy.”

Reality TV: Congratulations Floyd, 50, Flex And Lamar… TLC Pulls The Plug On “Starter Wives Confidential”

And that’s a wrap! Already?!?! Apparently the women of “Starter Wives Confidential” weren’t able to out-clout all their various exes and enemies because TLC will no longer be airing the show on television. But fans of the program will be able to see it online. Funkmaster Flex’s soon to be ex-wife Monica Joseph-Taylor announced the news via MommysDirtyLittleSecrets.com If you want to watch the remainder of episodes of Starter Wives Confidential you will have to go online to TLC.com. Ask me why? ::Long pause:: Is it ratings? Is it a change in network direction…or all the outside drama?! It’s no secret Starter Wives Confidential was plagued by legal inquiries and possible lawsuits from the beginning. Starting with Shanequa Tompkins being missing from all the episodes, her ex 50 cent allegedly had an agreement or contract with her of some sort that either prevented or made it difficult for her to partake in the show. I know before taping even began I was questioned about my posts relating to anyone connected with Lamar Odom. Luckily TLC had no control over what I do or can post so it became a non-issue. I never did find out who was putting pressure on them. Cut to the Lil Kim situation, one which I’m still confused about and can’t even confirm if there is a law suit. Bringing a show with women of color to TLC we always knew was a challenge and I love that they believed in our stories and gave us a voice. A voice, honesty, love, a lot of drama, and a bit of ratchetness. (Usually required for any good reality show.) I can only imagine there were a lot of people who were afraid what would come out on Starter Wives Confidential and as you saw from the first few episodes, the ladies were NOT holding back! Trust me it gets better and much juicier. But I digress. (I always wanted to say that in a post.) I want to say that from the very bottom of my soul the support and love from viewers was more amazing then I imagined. Even the haters felt our show was genuine. I love that personally I got to not only bond with 5 amazing women but was allowed to show that not all celebrity wives sit home, model, or are simpletons. For the first time people got to know who I really am, if even just a little bit. So it SUCKS that you have to watch episodes online but it beeeez like that sometimes. But make sure you still log onto http://www.mommysdirtylittlesecret.com everyday for the latest news, gossip, and info (c’mon y’all know me by now, why pretend anymore #endlesspromotion #bossb**ch #keepitmovin #letmefinish) P.S. I realize I didn’t answer why we are not being aired anymore…you will just have to judge for yourself. ::Closes the shades carefully as she writes and presses send:: – Monica Taylor Well at least they’ll get their glory on the good ol’ web riiight? Why do you think the show was axed from the air — yet still allowed to play online?

Lala Tells Us What Her Definition Of “Whore” Means While Sticking Up For “BF” Kimmy Cakes

What would you do if you found yourself in this situation? We hear the word ‘whore’ a lot these days and LaLa thinks too many of us have become numb to it . LaLa Anthony made an appearance on The Breakfast Club and was giving advice to callers during part of the show. Everything was going pretty cool until a caller explained her situation; the young lady had a friend who slept around a lot and was getting called a whore. The caller felt like she was getting a bad reputation because she was still hanging out with her and asked LaLa how she’d deal with that situation since she’s “friends with Kim Kardashian”. Lala responded: “First of all, We joke around and have fun but I am really starting to get a little tired of people calling her that to me because if I was calling your friend a whore you wouldn’t like that would you? No matter what people’s perceptions are, I know my friend and I know her heart and who she is and she’s not a whore. We are all grown now! I can’t be responsible for what people think about other people, I go by how a person treats me and she’s always been an amazing person to me. As far as your situation is concerned, the same thing applies. We are all grown. If your friend has a bad rep, you can’t take responsibility for what your friend does, so you shouldn’t be grouped in that category because of what she does, you can only be responsible for your own actions…I think a Hoe is someone who has no morals or values when they do what they do. So I think a hoe is breaking up [a home]– knows a person is married and is messing with him. I don’t think a hoe is someone that sleeps around because if you are single and enjoying yourself, that is what you are suppose to do.” Well damn…what’s your definition of a whore and do you think LaLa should get the “good friend of the week” award for her classy answer? Which One Would You Wife? The Ladies Of “Basketball Wives” Season 4

Basketball season has been in effect since Christmas, but now it’s time for the real games to begin! Vh1 has finally unveiled the promotional shots for the new season, which starts February 20th. We’ve got them all here, along with all the info the network wants you to know. Here’s what Vh1 had to say about Season 4: This season, “Basketball Wives” continues to explore the drama, intrigue, and delicate relationships found among a unique cross section of women bound by one fact: each has been married to, the fiancé of, or in love with, a professional ball player. In season four, episodes span from New York to Miami to LA and beyond, but wherever these women go, there is never a dull moment. From the pressure of juggling long-distance relationships, to the stress of struggling to establish financial independence, “Basketball Wives” digs deep beneath the surface. The series explores the emotional ups and downs of a life that many might envy, but few could actually imagine. As with any group of ambitious, smart, hard-working, sexy women, there are strong friendships, betrayal, breakups and make-ups. In this world, the stakes are higher, the alimony payments rise into the millions, and the significant others happen to be global superstars. This season, Shaunie O’Neal is on the path to establishing herself as a business mogul. Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams’ 12-year friendship is in a precarious position. Will it recover from last season’s fracture? Royce Reed and Suzie Ketcham attempt to navigate uncharted waters as new chapters open in their lives. We will welcome two new ladies, whose presence will alter the ever-changing landscape. Newcomer Kesha Nichols survived every girl’s worst nightmare, having her engagement broken off by her ball playing fiancé, just hours before their wedding. Kenya Bell is an aspiring recording artist, finalizing her divorce from a basketball star. It is no wonder that viewers have found this unique window into a rarely exposed world utterly addictive. As our ladies deal with relationships, life with superstars, and public scrutiny, we watch powerful female support networks thrive and fail, and friendships strengthen or flame out in spectacular fashion. With new cast members, new twists and turns and emotions running higher than ever, season four of Basketball Wives promises to be the best yet. Dun! Dun! Dun! Ooooh the drama… Continue for more shots of the ladies, and don’t forget to tell us which one you’d wife, if any of these broads.
