Word on the street is Trina has some big thangs poppin’… and we’re not just talking about tax ads . No longer on Slip’N’Slide Records, Miami’s Diamond Princess has been in the lab cooking up new music, this time with more of a pop-techno vibe and she’s also got a new look to accompany her new sound, having teamed up with none other than Jay-Z’s famed stylist June Ambrose. Our snitches tell us Trina has been in NYC this week shopping her new music and taping an appearance on Ambrose’s new VH1 show “Styled By June.” Very interesting right??? We also hear Trina has a new baller and has her own show in the works, which is why she was on Lala’s show and is now on June’s show. Would you tune in to watch???? More On Bossip! We knew Erica’s so-called beef with Kimbella was just another case of the ho-pot calling the ho-kettle black, but… As she c ontinues to ensure the extension of her 15 minutes beyond her two or three episodes of Love & Hip-Hop with a press run, Erica chopped it up with the folks at BallerAlert.com and explained what her fight with Kimbella really WASN’T about. BA: Is there ANY truth to the whole you were dating Fabolous when Fabolous was dating Kimbella when Kimbella was dating Emily rumor? Nooooo!!! Noooooo!! You guys gotta remember I was 17 years old. I was the shyest thing and I was all into the excitement of, ‘Listen, I want to be in Fab’s shoes, I don’t want to be WITH Fab!’ You know what I’m sayin’? I’m trying to be where Fab’s at [professionally] I’m not trying to….No!!! That was never my intention when I got into this game. It was just….No! No! Sorry! Soooo, this chick wants us to believe that her only issue with Juelz’ jump-off-turned-baby-mama is the fact that Kimbella does smutty photo shoots for men’s magazines? That doesn’t make sense. BA: You’ve done Show Magazine, King Magazine, Smooth Girl…Kimbella most recently, they touched on it on the show, did Black Men Magazine. You described that genre, with Kimbella anyway, as “soft porn”. Do you feel the same way about when you did those magazines? EM: When I did them, you have to remember, I was new to the game but even then I was always very outspoken with things. For instance, with the “Candy Shop” video when I was doing the lead with 50 Cent I was very adamant with the director (Jessy Torrero). I had a bustier on and the scene was in a bed and it was very seductive in that sense already. I kind of spoke out and said ‘Listen, I need some jean shorts in this scene. I need to wear some jean shorts.’ I understand the booty shorts match the bustier… but you know, I’ve always been outspoken in that sense. A lot of girls don’t understand that you canbe that way and I think that’s unfortunate. The video stuff gets stereotyped because of that. A lot of girls are open and willing to do whatever for whatever and don’t realize that you do have control over your image and how you come across and if you don’t speak on it you will get taken advantage of and that’s what they’ll assume you’re down to do. Girl, bye. But here’s what we found most interesting about Erica’s interview…
Luckily for Kim Zolciak (and even more so for poor deer-in-the-headlights Kroy Biermann), Peter and Apollo’s thug life flashback isn’t the only thing they have to remember their baby shower by. Among the hundred guests at Kim’s baby shower last spring was the OMG Booth capturing all types of innocent photo fun the Bravo cameras left out of last week’s episode . Flip through and check out Kim, Kroy, Phaedra, Kandi, Mama Joyce, Phaedra, Sheree and more Phaedra inside the OMG Booth.
Being on a reality TV show could suck the life out of a person, but can you imagine how to sustain love with no privacy and your “business” constantly on blast for the world to see? Check out our list of couples who were able to keep the flame going while the cameras were rolling…
Emily Bustamante aka Emily B. aka Fab’s “Baby Mama” aka the chick he wouldn’t claim after 8 years together spent most of the first season of “Love & Hip-Hop” in tears over his a$$. The new season of “Love & Hip-Hop” kicks off tonight and we’re hopeful she’s got drier eyes this time around. In the meantime, Crème Magazine has relaunched a new section called THE VIP LIST where celebrities, icons and personalities share their world in their own words. Contributors like Danny Simmons, CNN Correspondent Ryan Mack, Mike B and many others will be joined by a few ladies from Love & Hip Hop. Over the course of season 2 they have a few surprise contributors from the show. First up, is Emily Bustamante who opens up about Faboluous and her healing: On Healing, One Step At A Time I always say that I’m not the best person for advice. Don’t ask me! [laughs] It really feels good to have women come up to me and say, “I watch your story, and I could relate to you so much. I was going through the same thing.” And these are regular women and their men have regular jobs. They weren’t even in this world of hip hop. And that was so powerful to me, because I was like wow, my story is actually impacting other people’s lives. My thing is, if I can do it, anybody can do it. Because I just thought that my life couldn’t exist without him. He was my everything. And I realized that once I let him go, you know, so many other things– great things– came to me. A whole new world opened up for me. And both of us changed from it. So sometimes you have to make some changes in your life. To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did. And that’s what I had to do, and it was for the better. My life is so different now, and I’m happy. It’s just been a great journey, and hopefully someone else can learn from my mistakes. I have my moments. And I can sit here and say, I do still love him. My love for him didn’t change. But I love me more. And I love my children more. And I know that I have to focus on that. Love doesn’t go away, but sometimes you just have to let it go. And it just made a lot of things around me much stronger. I focused on my career. When you’re in a relationship sometimes and you’re going through it, you kind of forget about everything else that needs to happen in your life. I just focused on my clothing line. And that’s my man [laughs]. You know, that’s my baby. And I put all my energy into that. And really, just having a goal, or maybe a hobby, or just focusing on something else, really helped me. My clothing line is definitely something that keeps me busy, and it keeps my thoughts on that. Because [healing] is definitely a long process, and it takes a lot of work. And if your mind ain’t right, there’s no way in the world that you can accomplish something like that. So, I had to get my mind right. Writing is another passion of mine. I empty my thoughts in my writing, and it’s usually about love [laughs]. Sounds like a whole lot of truth there. Change is hard but some changes are necessary in order to grow. It seems like Emily B. has grown a whole lot, but at the end of the day only time will tell if this change is permanent or just temporary. Cuz we all know how open she is off that guy riiiiight? Keep reading to find out how she explained her breakup with Fab to her daughter.
SMH… This attention sloring broad Nene can’t be serious. She knows good and damn well why she does it. Here’s the latest on RHOA’s “breakout star” from Star Magazine : The last time we saw NeNe Leakes, she had an epic feud with Star Jones on The Celebrity Apprentice and eventually stormed off the show, much to The Donald’s chagrin. Now she’s back for a new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and NeNe is positive that the girls are jealous of her crossover fame. “They don’t have anything positive to say, of course,” NeNe tells Star. “Coming back was a funny feeling. I guess every other girl kind of feels like, ‘Why her? Why not me?’ ” That awkwardness is at the heart of the season’s first big blowout, when her onetime friend, castmate Sheree Whitfield, accuses NeNe of going behind her back to steal a job. “It was all just petty,” NeNe explains. “I walked into that situation not wanting it to blow up, but it did.” That’s an understatement, as a chat over a glass of wine quickly turns into a screaming match on the sidewalk! This season won’t just feature the girls clawing one another’s eyes out. In one of the highlights, the gang (minus a pregnant Kim) takes a trip to South Africa together. “It’s a long-ass flight, but it’s beautiful!” says NeNe. “The moment I landed, I was like, why the hell am I here with y’all? It would be great if I came here with people I really liked.” Considering how much the other girls get under her skin, it’s no surprise that the Housewives’ breakout star has to brace herself for a new season to start. “It’s a lot,” NeNe explains. “We shoot it, then it airs and we have to see it, and after that we have to go to the reunion and relive it again. After every one I’m like, ‘Why did I do this again?’” SMH… On the one hand we want to give her kudos for keeping it real (unlike most shows) and admitting she don’t luh them hoes but let’s be honest. Nene needs a Ho Sit Down. She needs to stop fronting like spending a few hours in front of the cameras acting like a beyatch is some kind of hard work. More On Bossip! Uh Oh! This, ladies and gents, is the part of the healing and grieving process known as “anger,” and, of course, it comes after “denial.” Gloria Govan was recently asked about her break-up and Matt moving on to a bigger, badder, more Mexican version of her . And apparently, even though both Matt and Eva Longoria have denied that they are bumping uglies or even sharing romantic meals , it seems like the idea of him keeping it moving was all it took for her to get over hopes of a reconciliation. “I’m not sure if I think they’re rumors. I think at this point having been with Matt, I don’t really put anything past him. He hasn’t directly said, ‘I’m doing this. I’m doing that.’ I’ve heard from some sources that it could be a definite possibility,” Gloria told Sister 2 Sister . Gloria, who just moved out of the house she shared with her former fiancé last month, said she did take pause when hearing that Eva and Matt have been keeping company for at least that long. “Dang. I haven’t even been out of the house for a month,” said Gloria. “Those are the things that float around that start to get to you in your relationship. I know he denied it, but I don’t really know too much about that situation to say it’s not true, but I don’t know enough to say that it is. It wouldn’t surprise me.” Her anger is directed at more than just Matt and those dirty dog tendencies she keeps alluding to though. There’s some for the “Basketball Wives: L.A.” post-production team too. He asked me about that. That’s not how I said it. That was disrespectful. I’d re-edit that part. That’s not how I meant it,” she said about a moment caught on camera in which she seemed to declare her independence from Matt and casually said, “He can bounce.” “That was a heartfelt conversation between me and my sister. I was on the verge of tears. They didn’t show all that. That’s not how I feel. I actually kinda like him,” said Gloria, who admitted that the reality spotlight didn’t help things. “I think it definitely brought on added stress to our relationship. We’re filming five days a week for hours at a time. That brings on added drama and added stress. The show wasn’t the reason Matt and I have gone our separate ways, but it has added some unnecessary drama,” she said. Sure it wasn’t. Keep telling yourself that. Angry Gloria even threw a few shots at Eva Longoria in the interview. Gloria isn’t dating anyone new yet, but when she does return to the romantic playing field, she doesn’t plan to be suiting up with any other basketball players. “Someone who dates multiple players like in the same field is a groupie,” said Gloria, not specifically referring to co-star Draya Michele or Eva, the ex-wife of baller Tony Parker. “If you continue to date athletes, you’re going to be considered a groupie. At some point in time, you have to have respect for yourself and not dip into the same cookie jar. I know women who’ve dated different basketball players. I’m attracted to athletes, but I have enough respect for Matt not to date one of his colleagues,” she said. For some reason though, we’re sure she’ll be back to her old self soon. “At some point in time when I am starting to look to seriously date, it could be a celebrity or another athlete from another sport,” she said. Aaaw, poor Glo… Until that day comes, let’s all take a stroll down memory lane and help Gloria remember the good times in her near-marriage.
Yesterday, these pic of Maino and Olivia popped up on the interwebs, and of course many of you assumed that meant he was the new justification for her inclusion the “Love & Hip-Hop” cast… as if VH1 ever needed such a thing. The pics, it turns out, are old. The story actually goes that these pics are from last Spring (or Summer depending on who you ask), at which point Olivia and Maino definitely had a thing going on. Apparently, as time progressed, Olivia wanted to become his official girl. And as passionate as these little snapshots of happy might seem, Maino wasn’t hearing that “wife me up exclusively” isht. Why, you might ask?
Add this to the list of many things we just don’t understand about this whole “Sister Wives” concept. Sister Wives star Kody Brown and his fourth wife Robyn welcomed their newest son to their polygamist family on Wednesday, bringing the total number of children in the family to 17. Solomon Brown was born at 2:02 a.m. on Wednesday in the family’s Las Vegas home, and he weighed 9 lbs., 10.5 oz., and is 22 inches long. Dad Kody was reportedly thrilled with the new baby, telling a magazine “He’s perfect and we couldn’t be happier.” The controversial family is headed by Kody who has four wives in total. Meri, Janelle and Christine are original spouse Robyn’s “sister wives” and the family has left Utah and are struggling with the changes in their lives separated in four houses in Nevada. So, four mortgages AND 17 kids?? That works for y’all? In 2011? Must be nice. Source
If you ask T.I. to give you some information about his upcoming reality show on VH1, he will not hesitate to correct you and let you know that that’s not what he’s working on at all. “I don’t like to call it a reality show,” he told BOSSIP yesterday, “because I feel like that undermines the integrity of the project. What we’re shooting is a documentary that offers viewers an inside look at all of the different facets of my life, most importantly me as a man and a father.” T.I. went on to explain that the new show, titled “Family Hustle” focuses much more on his family than it does him. While that may surprise T.I. fans who are used to him being fairly private when his children are concerned, he says that this wasn’t exactly his idea. “This is what the family wanted to do,” T.I added. “One of my sons wants to be a rapper, so he wants to showcase his talents and put ‘em out there. My daughter [Tiny’s oldest Zonnique] has the OMG Girlz and they’re doing really well. King wants to be an actor, my other daughter wants to sing. So they told me this is what they wanted to do, and I went out there and made it happen.” The show is likely to capture another kind of family drama too. T.I. also revealed yesterday that while the most visible of his Grand Hustle artists are doing well – B.o.B. with his new #1 single “Strange Clouds,” Young Dro who recently released new music, and the OMG Girlz who are currently on the road with the Scream Tour – he isn’t “throwing the building” behind anyone until he sees what they’re really working with. Up next for T.I. is a book tour in support of his new novel “Power & Beauty,” which hits stores on October 18.
