Prince Williams/ATLpics.net Congratulations! Porsha Williams Expecting A Baby Girl Porsha Junior’s on the way! Porsha Williams held a gender reveal party this weekend to announce the sex of her Dennis McKinley seed. The RHOA star and her fiancé brought together friends and family to a swanky private location where they used Superior Celebrations poppers to reveal her baby’s gender. After a countdown, guests used the poppers that shot out pink confetti—although Porsha’s malfunctioned and blew out blue. “Now I’m totally excited. It’s official. PJ is here! It’s a girl,” said Porsha. Porsha also rocked blue hair with light pink tips to mark the gender reveal. If you’re wondering why Porsha keeps calling the baby PJ there’s a simple explanation. Prior to the reveal, Porsha told PEOPLE that her future hubby already picked out a name for their baby girl; PJ a.k.a. Porsha Junior. Prince Williams/ATLpics.net Are you excited to hear that Porsha Junior’s on the way???
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta stars come and go. Sometimes, they get arrested . But now the series is promising two brand new additions who are bringing a lot to the table in the new season. These two men will be the show’s first male gay couple. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta is adding some fresh faces to the cast. More importantly, the hit reality series is adding some overdue represenation in the form of a male gay couple. Prince Carter and Zachary Jones have confirmed through their reps that they are joining the cast of the show. Carter is a serious socialite in Atlanta and already involved with the show. Jones is a fashion model with quite the Instagram following (for reasons that his photos make obvious). Together, they’re going to take this show by storm. Speaking to The Blast , the couple talks about how important it is for them to be part of the show. “As an African American gay male couple it’s tough as hell in today’s society,” they point out. Both black men and gay men face challenges — being both doesn’t make things easier . “And,” the couple continues. “There are sooooooooooo many stigmas we’re up against.” “We are two big personalities,” they say. “Who just happens to love each other dearly.” The couple’s statement about their aspirations continues. “With this platform,” they tell The Blast . “We want to show that love has no face or color.” “But love is all about treating others with respect,” they affirm. That is definitely true. They note that love is also about “allowing people to just live their best lives.” Also true! Carter and Jones are excited about bringing male gay representation to the show. They’re looking forward to presenting a “Gay relationship in more of a positive light.” Reality television has an unfortunate habit of showing some already marginalzied groups in a negative light. Seeing two young, handsome black men who are in love and living their best lives could do wonders for viewers and for cultural perceptions. Representation matters for a number of reasons, and can have a real impact on how comfortable viewers are with coming forward to live their authentic lives. Plus, it’s great to see LGBTQ+ black men shown succeeding on television. As we mentioned, Prince Carter is a socialite and has already interviewed a number of the show’s stars. Those stars include Mimi Faust, Karlie Redd, Momma Dee, Bambi, and Erica Dixon. So he is already part of the community and will now get to be part of it on camera, too. Jones’ modeling has earned him a massive social media following. As we mentioned, one only has to look at his Instagram thirst traps to understand why. Wait, what was I saying? I lost my train of thought somehow. We should note that while Carter and Jones are this show’s first male couple, they’re not the first gay representation in the franchise — or even the first male rep. Miles Brock and Milan Christopher were featured on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood back in 2015. It’s glad to see that the franchise’s Atlanta counterpart is catching up! (Photo by Johnny Nunez/Getty Images for BET) Friends And Family Hustle: Fans React To T.I. “Addressing” Cheating On Tiny Last night “T.I. & Tiny’s Friends & Family Hustle” premiered on VH1, and although there were lots of positive highlights from ‘framily’ — LeToya Luckett’s cute relationship with Tommicus — the Harris’ jumped right into the messy “booty grab” scandal that had them both making headlines. Remember when married AF Tip was caught on video grabbing that actress’ booty at a concert? They actually addressed it on the show! T.I.’s reaction to everything was seemingly jovial. Fans really found him disrespectful in the scene, although he and Tiny are separated he reacted as if she was on “embarrassed” and not betrayed… . @TIP & @TinyMajorMama KNOW how to make the good times roll even when they're fighting Don't miss the Harris family on an ALL NEW #FamilyHustle TONIGHT at 9/8c on @VH1 ! pic.twitter.com/vRjE5ooKt4 — VH1 (@VH1) October 22, 2018 Twitter exploded with reactions to the scene, calling Tip manipulative in the situation. Charles Sykes/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images Mystery solved… NeNe Leakes Wasn’t Invited To Kenya Moore’s Baby Shower If you’re wondering why NeNe Leakes was the only O.G. housewife not at Kenya Moore’s baby showe r, then wonder no more. As previously reported Kenya had a fairytale themed celebration that brought out housewives, “Married to Medicine” stars and of course her husband Marc Daly. Noticeably absent however was NeNe who seemingly played nice with Kenya on social media and blasted Bravo for not making her a full-time housewife this season. “So happy for her! Bravo should have made her a housewife this season!” wrote NeNe in the Instagram comments section. “She really really deserves it! Congrats girl! I know you bringing a life into the world and I’m trying to save a life.” […] “She should be a housewife! Bravo is crazy. They r soooo beautiful! So so happy for her and Marc.” Her comments might’ve been dripping in shade, however, because NeNe’s confirming that she wasn’t even invited to the party. NeNe told a fan on Twitter today that she didn’t get an invite, but she’s still willing to buy baby Daly a gift. RT @PorozaVuyo : @NeNeLeakes Hello Nene, my name is Vuyokazi, did you attend Kenya's baby shower and did you buy a gift, if yes, what was the gift? Thanks for letting me ask No i wasn’t invited! I didn’t get a gift but I’m oppose to giving 1. I luv babies & i luv shopping — NeNe Leakes (@NeNeLeakes) October 23, 2018 Ooop! A few weeks ago NeNe told Bossip on WE tv that while she doesn’t necessarily miss Kenya, she was certain that she’d be invited to her baby shower. “I can’t say that I do [miss her],” said NeNe. “I probably will get an invite, we don’t have any beef. If I don’t that just saves me from buying a gift honey, I can do something else with my bread.” So much for that… Are you surprised that Kenya snubbed NeNe from her baby shower??? For the RHOA stans… Kenya Moore’s Baby Shower Photos It’s almost twirl time for Kenya Moore and the mommy-to-be celebrated with an EPIC royal-themed baby shower. Despite not being on the upcoming season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, Kenya’s shower was filled with RHOA stars including Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams, and Shamea Morton. Gizelle Bryant of the “Real Housewives of Potomac” was also in attendance. Other guests included Dr. Heavenly and Toya Bush-Harris of “Married to Medicine”… as well as former housewife Claudia Jordan. Noticeably absent however was NeNe Leakes. NeNe’s absence quickly made fans wonder if there was some secret beef brewing between her and the mommy-to-be. A few weeks ago NeNe told the Bossip on WE tv crew that while she doesn’t necessarily miss Kenya, she was certain that she’d be invited to Kenya’s baby shower. “I can’t say that I do [miss her],” said NeNe. “I probably will get an invite, we don’t have any beef. If I don’t that just saves me from buying a gift honey, I can do something else with my bread.” There’s a perfectly good explanation for NeNe’s absence, however, and it’s much less shady than you think! VH1 Releases A Super Trailer For “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” We’ve already told you all about T.I. being Letoya Luckett’s first boyfriend, Toya being none too pleased about Reginae dating a 27-year-old rapper with four kids and T.I. being accused of cheating on Tiny — but now the super trailer for VH1’s “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” brings it all together — with so much more. We didn’t know what to expect from this show but it looks JUICY! And we already know our favorite is probably going to be Monica’s lil sassy daughter Laila. Did you see the way she called her mama out for her neck tattoo? Gotta love it! Not sure if we’re ready for King to be having sex though! Tiny we feel you on that one. Ooooh and did you see Reginae and Zonnique getting into it? SKRESSFUL! So much to cover with these four very different families coming together with all their issues, but this definitely seems like the kind of show VH1 needs to balance out all the drama on “Love & Hip Hop.” We’re especially excited to see Letoya and her hubby handling the pressures of new marriage and impending parenthood at the same time. Oh and to see Toya and her new boo raising baby Reign. Let’s not forget the excitement of Tiny and T.I. reconciling. Everybody talks about Beyoncé and Jay Z BUT the Harrises marriage is one for the hall of fame of hip-hop love stories. We all know how much they’ve been through together and apart — and now that Tip is addressing his scandalousness in song, we’re hoping he’ll be open on the show too! The new series will premiere on Monday, October 22nd at 9PM ET/PT featuring Tip “T.I.” Harris, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Monica Brown, Antonia “Toya” Wright, Letoya Luckett, Zonnique Pullins and Reginae Carter. Will you be watching???
Dancing with the Stars switched things up for Monday night’s live telecast. And no, we don’t mean Joe Amabile somehow figured out how to bust a move without tripping over his dance partner a few seconds later. A third dancer was added into the mix for each performance, and it actually made the performances fun. Some of these performers have barely mastered the art of dancing as part of a duo, so watching them adapt to being part of a trio was rather exciting. Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke with Melissa Rycroft Cha Cha, “Wavey” by CliQ featuring Alika After their perfect score last week, Juan Pablo and Cheryl were affected big time by the addition of a Melissa. It was clear from the rehearsal that there were going to be some glaring issues heading into the live shows. It wasn’t as polished as we’ve come to expect, but that’s what happens when you ruin a good thing. Melissa tried her best, but she just got in the way. Judges’ Score: 24/30 Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong with Amy Purdy Tango, “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” from Rock of Ages Being in the bottom two last week, Tinashe and Brandon knew they had to switch things up to get some of the good old viewer votes before it was too late for them. Before they really got a chance, they were tasked with working with Amy Purdy. Amy previously appeared in Season 18, and while she was a great dancer, she seemed out of place. Maybe it was the nerves. Either way, it was a still a decent performance. Judges’ Score: 26/30 John Schneider and Emma Slater with Joey Fatone Argentine Tango, “Torn” by Nathan Lanier John has been circling the drain for much of the season, so adding a third person into this was either going to make it sink or swim. Joey was a veteran from Season 4. Yes, that was several years ago, and he was pretty great. However, the overall performance was lacking, and that’s not a good thing. Judges’ Score: 21/30 Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe with Scarlett Byrne Salsa, “Black Magic” by Little Mix Evanna’s friend, Scarlett, with whom she appeared on the Harry Potter movies stopped by to help out with a robust performance. Still, this killed the momentum Evanna and Keo have been building for weeks. Judges’ Score: 24/30 DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold with Rashad Jennings Paso Doble, “Fire” by Barns Courtney Rashad Jennings is a previous winner, so what could really go wrong with this performance? A lot, apparently. DeMarcus struggled because of how hectic things were on the dance floor, and who can blame him? It reflected in the scores. Judges’ Score: 22/30 Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber with Nastia Liukin Charleston, “V.E.S.P.A.” by Dimie Cat Mary Lou struggled to keep up in rehearsals because the Charleston is fast-paced. She was in floods of tears at one point because she thought this would be the week it got too much. Thankfully, the performance was solid and proved why she was still in the competition. Nastia Liukin actually made this performance a solid one. Judges’ Score: 26/30 Milo Manheim and Witney Carson with Riker Lynch Salsa, “Adrenalina” by Wisin featuring Jennifer Lopez & Ricky Martin Milo, Witney, and Riker. Could they just become a trio for the rest of the season? I loved EVERYTHING about that show-stopping performance. Judges’ Score: 29/30 Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson with Jordan Kimball Salsa, “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred In a blatant attempt to continue racking up the votes, Jordan Kimball, who recently claimed the woman he met on Bachelor in Paradise was cheating on him, appeared to help Joe. Yikes. The performance was embarrassing. Like, poor Jenna was run off her feet trying to show these two turkeys how to make it look like they cared about dancing. Judges’ Score: 15/30 Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten with Maddie Ziegler Tango, “Move Your Body” by Sia This will go down as one of the most surprising performances in the history of the show. Maddie, of Dance Moms and Sia music video fame, is a solid dancer. Putting her together with Alan and Alexis was a winning move. Those moves were fast, flawless, and most of all, breathtaking. Judges’ Score: 25/30 Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess with Lindsey Stirling Cha Cha, “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer Lindsey returned to the floor, and we hate to say it, but she hindered Bobby and Sharna from doing what they do best: Dancing like they don’t care who’s watching. It was slow, full of the wrong steps, and lacked the charm. Judges’ Score: 20/30 When all was said and done, Evanna and Keo and Tinashe and Brandon were revealed to be the bottom two. We wish we were kidding here, but Grocery Store Joe managed to evade the bottom two. It’s becoming increasingly clear that the novelty acts are doing well this season. In the end, Tinashe and Brandon were sent packing. What are your thoughts on the latest performances, and results? Hit the comments! Dancing with the Stars continues Monday on ABC! Social media isn’t kind to anyone — except for Beyoncé — but for some reason, the Lil Mama hate train has been especially full. The Growing Up Hip Hop: ATL star recently opened up about what it’s been like being constantly ridiculed and criticized on the Internet for so long, and for no reason. Mama told Radio One : “I definitely look at my comments. I like to see what people are thinking, what they got to say. I find that while some people are looking for attention — and they get scrolled right by — there’s a great majority of people that are like ‘This movie inspired me’, ‘this song inspires me’, ‘whatever you’re doing keep doing it’ or ‘To see you go from here to there gave me the confidence to do what I’m doing today.’” The Brooklyn rapper/actress went on to share a story about working with a certain social media platform early on in her career, and how people use that same platform to tear her down today: “I remember stepping into a meeting, cause I was signed to Jive Records at the time, and they asked me to work this new site — they wanted me to kick it off and start talking to people directly. I had no idea what it was. So I started writing my thoughts and talking to people, and it was Twitter. It just so happens that one of the things I helped pioneer from the very beginning wound up being something that backlashed me.” Lil Mama is such a dope young artist that regardless of what folks say about her, she’ll always find a way to shine. And who else could give such an accurate performance of Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes? Catch Mama on the new season of GUHH:ATL every Thursday on WETv.
In a powerful and candid Instagram post this week, Taylor Swift urged citizens to take action next month and vote in the midterm elections. Not long afterwards, the singer took an action herself that she had not taken in three years: She performed on stage at an awards show. Indeed, Swift opened the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday night with a rendition of “I Did Something Bad,” reminding viewers everywhere that she deserves the honor she would later win at the ceremony. (Swift was named Artist of the Year and, in the process, became the most decorated female artist in American Music Awards history.) The 28-year-old pop sensation donned a sparkly long-sleeve leotard with over-the-knee leather black boots for her wildly-anticipated performance. She also brought the drama with smoke and a giant snake (!!!!!!!) – which has been her Reputation tour logo and which has been a response to being called a snake years ago by Kim Kardashian – behind her on stage. It was clear those in attendance were psyched to have Swift back in their lives. “They’re burning all the witches, even if you aren’t one/They got their pitchforks and proof,” Swift sings in the featured track. Having received some criticism from Republicans for not supporting any of their candidates in her aforementioned social media message, Swift did not back down at the AMAs. In her Artist of the Year acceptance speech, she didn't take any side… but she did remain political. “Thank you so much for this,” she said on stage, adding: “And I just wanted to make a mention of the fact that this award, and every single award given out tonight, were voted on by the people. And you know what else is voted on by the people? “The midterm elections on 6 November. Get out and vote – I love you guys.” And we love you, Taylor. We hope this was not a temporary return to the spotlight. Check out her performance now!
