To put it mildly. We’ll get to that in a moment, but start on a more positive note. Mostly positive, anyway. Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga both agreed that women were hands down stronger than men. Case in point? Joe Giudice getting “worse and worse” as prison loomed. The only silver lining, Tre said, was that he would be forced to quit drinking in the slammer, and that the ordeal has brought them closer. “This is definitely the closest that her and I have ever been,” Melissa told the camera, and while true, there was plenty of strife this week. When Melissa and Siggy suggested they take a girls’ trip to Vermont, Teresa said she needed to stay with her family. Easy enough, right? Well, Siggy made her pitch for Teresa to meet Kathy and Rosie for lunch as they had asked, and that’s when things started to get ugly. “With all respect to both of you, I don’t get involved in your family life so please don’t get involved in mine,” the former convict replied. When Jacqueline pushed her a little further, Teresa snapped, “Jacqueline don’t bring up my f–king family. I don’t want to f–king hear it.” Not taking no for an answer, Siggy and Jacqueline continued insisting that Rosie and Kathy just wanted their family back, nothing more. “They should have thought about that before trashing my family,” Teresa said, and the star was later proven right in an indirect sense. When Melissa, Joe Gorga, and Jacqueline headed to pay a visit to Rosie, Kathy and her husband, Richie, the tension escalated quickly. To hear Melissa tell it: “Richie was trying to say that he loves his wife and Teresa’s husband doesn’t love her. What a dick thing to say,” she lamented. Finally, Rosie, Kathy, Teresa and Joe Gorga met up, with Kathy urging everyone involved to “go forward and be a family. Tre? Not having it. Telling them that all she wants is “to be left alone,” Giudice explained, turning her sights on Kathy’s husband Richie. “I don’t want to be hurt anymore. Every time I’m around your husband, he’s always got something negative to say.” “I’m tired. I’ve been through a lot and I haven’t heard from you guys. There’s been a lot of turmoil. I want to cut the cancer out, really.” “We’re not cancer,” Kathy replied, and while Teresa clearly isn’t convinced of that, the meeting did end without any tables getting flipped. Baby steps. Masika Kalysha Talks Motherhood, New Music, And Makeup Line Even though Masika Kalysha has A LOT to say about Fetty Wap’s fatherhood style, the reality star is keeping things positive when it comes to juggling single motherhood, a music career, and a new business venture. We caught up with Masika to talk more about her transition from being carefree and childless, to being thrust into a public paternity fiasco with a popular rapper and how she’s faring now that the dust has begun to settle on a pretty tumultuous 2016. Now you took a break from “Love & Hip Hop” for a while. What has it been like getting back into the swing of being on reality television and exposing the intimate details of your life to the world? Well it was very different this time around. The first year I didn’t know what to expect, which is partially why I took a hiatus the second year. I took a lot of things personal at first — the way people perceive you is just disheartening. During the year I decided not to do it, I learned so much, and now I just don’t really give a sh*t about what people say or what they think. At the end of the day, we’re sharing tiny pieces of our lives. If that’s what people want to take and run with, then run with it while I make my money. You mentioned the show only showing a little snippet of what your life is…do you feel like the show has accurately portrayed what you went through during your pregnancy thus far? Yes and no. I think that it’s a pretty good general update of where my life is and where it has been. However I try to be very careful and very respectful of my daughter’s privacy. So the ONLY things that I address this season are the tweets already posted by Fetty and by myself and the headlines that have already been posted. I address those things because they’re already public knowledge, and I clear them up. But there are so many other things that I have not said and I will not say, because at the end of the day me proving my point or trying to say who is right or wrong could affect my daughter in the future. I bite my tongue, for the most part. So where do things stand between you, Fetty, and baby Khari? He hasn’t seen her since her two week checkup. The issue I believe he’s having is he’s used to all the women in his life doing what he says when he says, and sitting and waiting for him to come and do whatever — and I don’t. If he says something and doesn’t stick to it, I get mad, and he gets mad that I’m mad. So I feel like his priorities aren’t in the right place, just him being young. There’s absolutely nothing in the world that should keep a parent away from their child. I think what he does is to try to make me upset, but in the long run she’s the one that’s affected. So your new song, “My Own,” deals with this situation a bit, right? I have an EP filled with records to kind of color the journey that I went through. I think this song is a really big anthem for women. I can’t even express to you the messages I’ve received from women all over the world — from New Zealand, to Africa, to Compton, you name it. There are women coming to me saying they were contemplating suicide until they saw my story, or they were going to get an abortion until they saw my story — thanking me for showing a public face that’s actually being honest, because so many women go through this. In my industry, it’s taboo. You don’t talk about it. So many women leave and come back with a whole kid and you don’t know what happened because they’re ashamed of it. I just decided to live it out loud. This song is basically saying to women that you CAN do it by yourself. No matter what, don’t let a man break you because you have the strength within yourself. I strongly believe that God created women to have babies because he knew we could handle it. If it were up to a man to have a baby the world would be over. “My Own” is available HERE , and everywhere else digital music is sold. Take a listen: How has the transition to motherhood been? Oh, God, It’s been so difficult! It’s really taught me patience, and I’ve never had patience. I always do things how I want, when I want, I don’t really care if someone else doesn’t like it, I just do what I want. Now it’s what she wants, and how she feels. She comes first. So I had to put a lot of things on the backburner…I’m still trying to find a balance between being the best mother and staying on track in the basic aspect of things I have to do. So you also have a makeup line on the way too. Can you tell us more about that? Yes! My makeup line is called Khari Barbie Beauty, and one thing I really wanted to focus on was showing my daughter the example that she can be independent and work for herself. I feel like in the Black community, we don’t really focus on being business owners and our parents don’t really teach us to be independent. We’re mainly taught “you go to school, you get good grades, and you get a good job.” There’s nothing wrong with that, but one thing I’ve learned is that if you don’t follow your dreams, you’ll end up working for someone who follows theirs. And that’s absolutely fine — but for me and my family, I always want to create multiple sources of income and revenue. So this is something I wanted to do that she could have and build her empire. Even from the time before she was born. Everybody has a beauty line. But I think the thing that’s cool about mine is it’s vegan, no parabens, no animal testing. A lot of times when you have a product like that, it compromises the quality. So I really wanted to spend time with lab and researchers to find a product that was not only quality, but good for the environment and not bad for your skin, and colors that fit all different skin tones and not just a pale person. It’s going to be a full line, but I am funding this by myself, so we’re starting with the lips now — lip liners, lipsticks, matte liquid lipsticks, vitamin e stick, exfoliaters. So what’s next for you outside of the show? The big thing for me is I’m back to auditioning with my agency and getting my body back together. Thankfully naturally I’ve had a snapback, but we still gotta get it tight and get it right. So you’re just going to see my journey navigating through motherhood and working and trying to find a balance. It is very difficult, but I think I make it work and do a good job of it. One thing I’m about to do on my vlog channel is a series for single mothers. I get so many messages from women [in similar situations] that it would be crazy not to. Basketball Wives creator Shaunie O’Neal recently sat down with The Undefeated about the reality show’s scrutiny. Shaunie points out that the only difference between her show and shows like Real Housewives of New York is skin color… “They’re a little harder on us, for whatever reason … but there’s nothing going on in Basketball Wives that isn’t going on with Real Housewives of New York. Hell, most of the time I think we’re a lot tamer,” she said, laughing. “And sometimes, honestly I agree [with the critics]. It’s not a proud moment for me [when we’re fighting]. Did it happen? Yes. As previously reported, BOSSIP broke the story that Tamar and Vince got into a massive blowout and Vince bit Tamar’s hand drawing blood. Now according to Tamar “everybody can have several seats” because they’re doing just fine. “Just because somebody says something doesn’t make it law,” said Tamar to paparazzi in an airport. “I’m not even finna defend my relationship to anybody. As you can imagine, she does not react very kindly to this invasion of privacy. “Why do you wanna keep going through my phone like you don't trust me?” the pregnant star asks her fiancé. “I just don't get why you even care!” Rob responds. Later on, Chyna screamed at her impending baby daddy, asking Rob why the heck he is still “texting bitches.” From there, we get talk about Depression with a capital D, as Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner both try to offer some expertise on their loved one and his relationship. Chyna also receives a talking-to, which results in may tears being shed by the reality star. In another scene, Scott Disick gets all profound. In another scene, Rob and Chyna enjoy family time with her son, King Cairo. And in another scene, the couple visits Chyna's old strip club. Ray J hit it first, and now Ray J is hitting back at Kanye West. On Sunday night, Kanye took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards and did what Kanye does best. The rapper rambled and ranted and made little to no sense, while saying things no other celebrity would ever dare to say. “I am Kanye West, and that feels really great to say, especially this year. I came here to present my new video, but before I do that, Im’ma talk,” West said prior to giving viewers a preview of his “Fade” video. He then referenced his “Famous” video, which depicted a multitude of stars from all walks in life… naked and in bed together. What was his motivation for this idea? “For people to understand just how blessed we are, it was an expression of our now, our fame right now, us on the inside of the TV,” Kanye explained. He added: “Just the audacity to put Anna Wintour next to Donald Trump – I put Ray J in there, bro!” Kanye West at the VMAs: I Love Taylor Swift! And Ray J! Ah, yes, Ray J. Ray J is the man who gave it to Kim Kardashian on camera. Ray J is the man who still profits, to this day , from the Kim Kardashian sex tape. But Ray J is also the man who has brought up the sex day in the past, only to be slammed by Kanye. Remember the hilarious Ray J single ” I Hit It First ?” The song that bragged about how… well… Ray J hit Kim first, in the sexual sense of that word? To turn it into a joke? To make it seem like he’s just so cool and chill that he’ll drop a reference to his wife’s sex tape partner in front of millions of viewers? Now THAT is lame, Ray J is reportedly telling friends. According to TMZ, Ray J thinks Kanye is being hypocritical by dissing him one second; and then embracing the sex tape himself when it serves his purposes. TMZ also hears that Ray J is also angry at Kim. She trashed him after he released “I Hit it First,” but then she sat there smiling like crazy at the Video Music Awards when West referred to the amateur porn that has made her millions. Some rapper named Wack 100, meanwhile, had the best response of all to Kanye’s “Famous” music video. “Did they show him with his dick in [Kanye’s] wife?” the rapper asked TMZ when approached about the footage this summer. “If they didn’t show Ray J with his dick in Kim Kardashian’s mouth, tell Kanye to go back and reshoot that sh-t,” he added. Especially when you get Nick Viall and Josh Murray together. Josh again had to defend himself against allegations made in Andi Dorfman’s new memoir on Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 Episode 8. This time, the twins, Emily and Haley Ferguson, got involved. After expressing their concerns to Nick after Josh got pissed that Amanda Stanton went to bed without telling him, Viall opened up: “The fact that he’s cracked a little bit from something as simple as Amanda going to bed without telling him, that’s concerning, right?” “So, it’s hard to believe that (Andi) wrote a fictional book about Josh that was all made up, but there’s some accurate things about me.” “And, so I think it’s a very fair question to ask,” Nick explained, asking, “Did [Murray] come ’cause he thought he could repair his image?” The twins thought Nick’s points were, well, on point. Growing concerned about Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton together, and lacking for other storylines, the twins pulled their BFF aside. “Tonight it’s been brought to our attention that, by a few of the people [here] now, that Josh’s intentions aren’t pure with you,” they said. “We just want you to be careful,” Haley told Amanda. Stanton felt confused because she didn’t know what was said, as the twins promptly peaced out of paradise because they hadn’t found love. That’s right, they forfeited their roses and bounced. In any case, Amanda confronted Josh, who replied, “to believe that kind of stuff is like looking in a gossip magazine, believing that.” “It’s absolutely ludicrous,” he said, irritated. When Amanda revealed that the twins cited an unnamed source as the person (or person) behind the Josh gossip, he got more irritated. He assembled the whole gang to ream them out, and profess his innocence, telling them that “I am very frustrated right now.” “Ever since I’ve been here, for some reason one person or multiple people have accused me of being fake … It’s very disrespectful.” “It’s inconsiderate, and it’s a bunch of bulls–t to be honest with you,” Murray said, seething. “I don’t need to be here.” “My dog’s been battling cancer for six months. I wasn’t gonna come here. I am looking for somebody … period.” Then Josh asked if anyone doubted his authenticity, and Nick said he wasn’t sure, then brought up Dorfman’s book. “You keep saying it’s a fictional book. All I know is on my part it’s not fictional … the stuff she wrote about me,” Nick said. Josh responded to that by … threatening Nick: “All I know is I’m gonna try to work on this right now, and you need to hope that everything’s good with me and her … period, man.” Yeah. As Nick said, this is one scary ass dude: “All he wanted to do was just murder me.” As far as Amanda’s response to all this, she said that “I love the twins, and I respect what they have to say,” but it’s her decision.
