Source: Gregg DeGuire / Getty Mo’Nique Threatens To Slap Steve Harvey During A Recent Taping Of His Talk Show According to theJasmine BRAND , things were about to go DOWN on the set of Steve Harvey’s daytime talk show. MoNique and Steve allegedly got into a heated argument during taping of his talk show while she was there to promote her Las Vegas residency. The disagreement was allegedly sparked while the pair were discussing Mo’Nique’s controversial comments about Whoopi Goldberg and Tyler Perry. Mo’Nique recently referred to Whoopi in an interview as ‘the help’. Allegedly, Steve told Mo’Nique that she needed to apologize to Whoopi and others that she wrongfully dissed and she allegedly wasn’t having it. Things reportedly got out of hand after Harvey mentioned to her that if she went through with her threat, “her husband would have to come out and square off.” The cameras were said to be rolling during the heated exchange and its believed the episode will air in a couple of weeks.

FBI officials have just discovered that a sinkhole just north of Miami, Florida is actually an unfinished 150-foot-long tunnel to a bank across the street. Here’s a look at the underground tunnel leading up to a Florida bank – discovered when police responded to a possible sinkhole. The FBI says it’s about 50 yards long and just 2-4 feet wide. The attempted bank burglary on @ABCWorldNews pic.twitter.com/34i17BKYru — Victor Oquendo (@VictorOquendo) January 30, 2019 Agent Leverock told reporters that the tunnel was so narrow “a person would have to lie on his or her stomach to navigate it.” According to the FBI news release , Inside or near the tunnel, investigators found a wagon that had likely been used to haul dirt, as well as a power generator and a winch, which can be used to haul heavy loads. “Everybody here is just shaking their heads,” Agent Leverock said. “They could’ve been going for the A.T.M., they could’ve been going for the vault.” Police are still baffled and investigating the mysterious tunnel. No arrests have been made.

Now, plans to go on rent strike are swiftly approaching, according to New York Daily News. Many NYCHA residents are spending their time at home in freezing temperatures as a polar vortex makes it’s way across the U.S. “It’s a disaster,” said 76-year-old Bertha Spivey, a resident of NYCHA’s Soundview Houses in the Bronx. “You can’t take showers or do dishes. We have no heat or hot water. If one goes, both go. It happens every winter for last four years.” Spivey’s neighbor Rachel Jean, 40, said she had to boil water to make it hot and bring some heat into her apartment. “We’re bathing with it,” Jean said. “When the water does come on it’s brown and then it shuts off. I have six kids. We’re just waiting for them to do something.” Tenants at the Queensbridge Houses in Long Island City are tired of waiting for the government to do something. Certain residents have already started laying the groundwork for a major rent strike, which could force NYCHA to make long-neglected repairs. Almost 70 people assembled at the Queensbridge complex on Monday where they received advice from housing advocates and lawyers. Back in 2013, tenants of NYCHA’s Lexington Houses in East Harlem threatened the city with a rent strike after having no gas for more than two weeks. NYCHA made the repairs 24 hours later. “I’m 100% behind a rent strike,” said Brooklyn City Councilman Rafael Espinal Jr. , a candidate for public advocate, who showed up at the rent strike strategy session. “If you’re not getting adequate service you have every right to withhold your rent until the work is done.” A NYCHA spokesman said repair crews arrived at various sites on Wednesday to restore heat. The agency also activated its situation room in Long Island City, Queens to prepare for dangerously low temperatures. Meanwhile, City Hall is trying to convince federal housing officials and a federal judge that NYC is capable of running its own housing system without any takeover from the Trump administration. Last fall, U.S. District Judge William Pauley rejected a settlement between the city and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), saying the federal government was neglecting its responsibilities to NYCHA. Both sides have since been discussing ways to address the various issues NYCHA residents face, including heating problems, mold and dangerous levels of lead. HUD secretary Ben Carson is set to appear in New York on Thursday to make a “huge & historic announcement that will be great news for the residents of @NYCHA,” according to a tweet from Lynne Patton, the head of HUD’s federal housing programs in New Jersey and New York. We’ll find out if they make impactful moves. Or else… They better gear up for that strike.

The Oscar nominated movie will be hitting up participating AMC theaters February 1-7 in celebration of Black History Month. According to ABC 7 , Marvel made the announcement on Monday and Disney CEO Bob Iger tweeted that tickets will be free for everyone. He also announced that Disney will donate $1.5 million to the United Negro College Fund, one of the nations largest Black education organizations, in order “to make the dream of higher education a reality for more students.” Today we are excited to announce #BlackPanther will return to the big screen to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth from Feb 1-7 at participating AMC theaters. Chadwick Boseman, gave a moving speech, saying, “To be young, gifted & Black, we all know what it’s like to be told there’s not a screen for you to be featured on, there’s not a stage for you to be featured on.” He continued, “And that is what we went to work with every day because we knew, not that we would be around during awards season and that it would make a billion dollars, but we knew we had something special that we wanted to give the world.” Now, Black Panther is headed to the Oscars with seven nominations, including Best Picture, Best Original Music Score, Best Costume Design, Best Sound Mixing, Best Production Design, Best Sound Editing and Best Original Song for “All the Stars.” You can find out if BP will take home the gold on Sunday, February 24 at 8 p.m. eastern. Source: Jesse Grant / Getty Judge Grants Tisha Campbell Martin Temporary Restraining Order After Ex-Husband Duane Martin After Domestic Abuse Claims According to TMZ , Tisha Campbell-Martin claims her estranged husband (Duane Martin) has been abusive for years and that he flew into a violent rage just last month. The sitcom star filed for a restraining order against Duane, alleging he once “punched her in the chest with a closed fist”. She also says in December, Duane “grabbed me by my arm to try to get me in the bedroom.” She reportedly filed a police report in January about the multiple alleged physical altercations. Duane allegedly started physically, emotionally and mentally abusing Tisha as early as the beginning their marriage in 1996 and that he berated her about her weight and inability to land roles because of her bigger size. “I can no longer live in fear of retaliation … the need to press criminal charges for his acts overshadows the embarrassment of making his crimes against me public through this report.” she claims. A judge granted her a temporary restraining order that requires Duane to stay at least 100 yards away from her as they iron out the particulars of their divorce.

Lil Uzi’s slot is going to be filled by Rae Sremmurd and a “special guest,” who is thought by many to be Gunna. It has not yet been specified why Uzi decided to drop out of the inaugural festival, but it’s safe to assume that it has something to do with his recently announced retirement. In the beginning of the year, the Philadelphia rapper took to his Instagram page claiming he had deleted all of his material and that he was “done” with music. “I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my supporters but I’m done with Music,” he wrote on his Insta-Stories at the time. “I deleted everything. I wanna be normal … I wanna wake up in 2013. You are free.” Just this past Tuesday, Uzi shared another Instagram story that gave fans a little hope: “Wish I still could go to the studio,” he wrote over a photo of himself, “just reminiscing.” The public still isn’t really clear on why Uzi doesn’t want to make music right now, but everyone is just hoping he makes his way back to the studio soon.

Nelly filed court docs earlier this past week seeking for a Missouri sexual assault lawsuit to be dismissed stating, “Without first petitioning the Court to do so, Plaintiff filed her complaint anonymously, standing behind that anonymity as she makes serious allegations that the Complaint makes clear that she is aware will receive public attention.” The rapper claims the “Jane Doe” has previously pulled this stunt in the past, and he believes the woman should not be allowed to hide from public scrutiny. In November, “Jane Doe” reportedly sued Nelly for what she claimed to be sexual assault following a 2017 concert overseas. The woman claims after meeting Nelly backstage, he exposed himself and began masturbating in front of her before allegedly forcing his erect penis inside her mouth. Jane Doe says she didn’t go to the police originally because she felt no one would believe her. But would later give her statement after the reached out to her personally. Jane Doe is also suing Nelly’s girlfriend, Shantel Jackson. The lawsuit alleges defamation because of comments she made on social media
Source: The Washington Post / Getty Trump Fires All Undocumented Workers From Golf Club According to the Washington Post , Trump reportedly fired a large group Latin American workers at Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County, N.Y. because they are undocumented immigrants. On Jan. 18 employees were allegedly “brought in one-by-one to speak with a human resources representative and were fired from their jobs.” These people were described as being “longtime members of the golf club’s staff, having won employee of the month awards and having a set of keys to Eric Trump’s vacation home.” Trump reportedly kept that same energy in regards to his feelings on immigrant works, and go rid of employees that working for him for 10+ years. Gabriel Sedano, one of the employees who was fired, had been working at the club since 2005. “I told them they needed to consider us. I had worked almost 15 years for them in this club, and I’d given the best of myself to this job,” he continued. “I’d never done anything wrong, only work and work. They said they didn’t have any comments to make.” During the series of terminations, employees were informed that the company had audited their immigration paperwork, documentation they had provided years earlier. After it was discovered that their paperwork was falsified, the representative said, “Unfortunately, this means the club must end its employment relationship with you today.”
