On Friday, prosecutors outlined their sentencing recommendations in documents filed in the United States District Court of Massachusetts. This comes months after the actress admitted to paying $15,000 to a college counselor to inflate her daughter’s SAT scores. According to the sentencing memo, prosecutors are shooting for the 56-year-old to serve one month in jail, followed by 12 months of supervised release and a $20,000 fine. They are arguing for jail time while emphasizing that Huffman being confined to her large Hollywood Hills home wouldn’t be too much of a punishment. The former Desperate Housewives star who was previously facing up to four months in jail before pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud earlier this year. In response to prosecutors’ sentencing recommendations, Huffman’s legal team requested one year of probation, 250 hours of community service, and a $20,000 fine. The actress asked for leniency in a letter submitted to the court. Felicity Huffman: “When my daughter looked at me and asked with tears streaming down her face, 'Why didn't you believe in me? Why didn't you think I could do it on my own?' I had no adequate answer for her. I could only say, 'I am sorry. I just wanted to give her a shot at being considered for a program where her acting talent would be the deciding factor,” the letter read. “This sounds hollow now, but, in my mind, I knew that her success of failure in theater or film wouldn’t depend on her math skills.” Felicity’s lawyers also submitted Letters in Aid of Testimony written by her friends and family, including her husband, William H. Macy and her former Desperate Housewives co-star Eva Longoria . Felicity Huffman is set to be sentenced on September 13.

There’s usually a pretty good chance that when you run off on the plug, they can’t call the police without snitching on themselves, too. But in the animal world, things are a lot different, so Holston didn’t get so lucky. According to reports from TMZ , Corinne Oltz, the operator of Wild Animal World in Florida, is claiming that one of her porcupines named ‘Pickles’ went missing before turning up in Tarzann’s possession. She says that she has been trying to get ahold of the popular animal Instagrammer for a while, but still hasn’t had any luck. Now, she’s suing for $5,000 and wants the money to come either from him or from the owner of the property. Like we mentioned before, this isn’t the first time TheReallTarzann has been in the spotlight for some issues with the law. This adds to the growing list of legal issues popping up involving the social media influencer, as he was arrested for burglary and battery less than a month ago. According to reports from TMZ, Kelly is trying to land Tom Mesereau, the lawyer who represented Michael Jackson in his molestation case in 2005. He also got Robert Blake acquitted of murder. The publication goes on to say that Kelly met with Mesereau for 4 hours, but he still hasn’t signed on just yet. The issue here just might be Kelly’s diminishing finances, which are being burned through quickly to fight his numerous cases. Obviously, an attorney with a track record like Mesereau’s doesn’t come cheap. Kelly is reportedly looking for new representation because his current team brings too much media attention for certain stunts of theirs, like referring to his accusers as “disgruntled groupies.” R. Kelly’s current lead attorney Steve Greenberg called the news that his client was seeking out new lawyers, “A complete load of crap.” Whoever does end up representing Kelly in the future sure has their work cut out for them. In addition to charges already filed in Chicago and New York, Kelly was recently hit with two counts of underage prostitution in Minnesota. The disgraced singer allegedly paid a minor to strip for him in his hotel room in 2001, at which point prosecutors claim there was “sexual contact” but “no intercourse” between the two.
