Elderly Honesty: Bruce Jenner’s Mother Speaks Out On Kris And The Kardashian Klan — “They Will Sleep With Anybody”

Damn Granny! Tell us how you really feel… Bruce Jenner’s mother was never too fond of those Kardashian women…but we bet Kris Jenner’s journey to the dark side and Kimmy Cakes’ latest photo shoot made her reach for her meds for sure. Via PageSix : Bruce Jenner’s mom, Esther Jenner, has come out against former daughter-in-law, Kris Jenner, and her brood of reality star children. When asked by the Daily Mail if the Kardashian matriarch, 59, is “controlling,” Esther, 88, answered, “That’s accurate. I don’t know why she is. I don’t think she treated anybody very well.” “She could insult you with a big smile on her face, I know,” she continued. “What do you do with a person like that? You’re going to avoid them if possible. She was backstabbing as far as my grandchildren were concerned, and that is something I can’t stand. She’s domineering — it’s do it her way, or there’s no way. I had very little to do with Kris. I stayed away from her as much as I could.” Fans of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” are well aware of the bad blood between Esther and Kris. Despite a failed attempt to patch things up, Esther says she’s happy Bruce, 65, and Kris are divorcing after 23 years of marriage. “Hallelujah. It was necessary,” she said. “I hope she changes her name back to Kardashian, I don’t want her to carry the name,” Esther added about Kris. And as for her stepgrandchildren, she doesn’t care for them much, either — particularly Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. “Oh my God, the ways the girls display themselves … and it’s all surgical work they’ve had done, what are they trying to prove?” she asked. “Kris hasn’t brought them up with any morals, you know, go out and go sleep with anybody … that sort of thing, you wouldn’t tell your own children to do that.” Although she’s not a fan of the family’s mega-popular reality show, she keeps abreast of Bruce in the headlines, specifically his ever-changing looks. “I love him, no matter what,” she said. “There’s such raunchy publicity all the time. I don’t know. I’ve brought this up to him on the phone when we’ve talked and he says, ‘Mom, you can’t believe this stuff,’ he said you can’t pay any attention to this stuff and I said, ‘Well, I want to tell you one thing, Bruce, I don’t care if what they’re putting out is true or false, it’s not going to change my love for you,’ and it’s true, that’s exactly how I feel, but I don’t like it.” But one thing Esther doesn’t support is Bruce’s long hair, which she says he wears like a “teenage rebel.” “I hate his hair, I tell him it’s ugly,” she said. “That is ridiculous.” Reps for Kris and Bruce Jenner did not immediately respond to a request for comment. You gotta love how elderly women hold NOTHING back. Grandma just said out loud what we’ve all been saying amongst ourselves for years. Wonder what she has to say about her lil fast-azz blood granddaughter though? Kylie started getting knifed up and chasing Black peen down the street even earlier than the rest of them…and she bears the “precious” Jenner name.

It’s “Only” A Video: Director Responsible For Nicki’s Nazi-ish Lyric Video Defends His Art — “Sorry, I’m Not Sorry.”

Fair or too far? Via BusinessInsider : Nicki Minaj was blasted this week for her new “Only” lyric music video, which resembled cartoonish Nazi propaganda. On Tuesday, Minaj finally tweeted an apology of sorts after both her fans and the Anti-Defamation League noted the video’s insensitive similarities to Nazi imagery, including red swastika-like flags and armbands on soldiers. While Minaj tried to defend herself by saying “I didn’t come up w/the concept, but I’m very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone,” the music video’s director, Jeff Osborne, refuses to apologize. “I’m not apologizing for my work, nor will I dodge the immediate question,” he wrote in a MySpace post late Tuesday. “The flags, armbands, and gas mask (and perhaps my use of symmetry?) are all representative of Nazism.” Osborne, who also worked with Minaj on her “Anaconda” lyric video, added, “If my work is misinterpreted because it’s not a sappy tearjerker, sorry I’m not sorry.” “Before I start, be clear that these are my personal views and not the views of Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, or Young Money. First, I’m not apologizing for my work, nor will I dodge the immediate question. The flags, armbands, and gas mask (and perhaps my use of symmetry?) are all representative of Nazism. But a majority of the recognizable models/symbols are American: MQ9 Reaper Drone, F22 Raptor, Sidewinder missile, security cameras, M60, SWAT uniform, General’s uniform, the Supreme court, and the Lincoln Memorial. What’s also American is the 1st Amendment, which I’ve unexpectedly succeeded in showing how we willfully squeeze ourselves out of that right every day. Despite the fact heavy religious and economic themes were glossed over, there’s also Russian T-90 tanks, Belgian FN FAL, German mp5 (not manufactured until 1966), an Italian Ferrari, and a Vatican Pope. As far as an explanation, I think its actually important to remind younger generations of atrocities that occurred in the past as a way to prevent them from happening in the future. And the most effective way of connecting with people today is through social media and pop culture. So if my work is misinterpreted because it’s not a sappy tearjerker, sorry I’m not sorry. What else is trending?” And at the end of the day, somehow we doubt this guy, who completely stood up in his choice to depict Nazism and basically said “and what?” won’t face the same level of backlash from this that Nicki will…SMH.

Justin Timberlake Covers GQ Men of the Year Issue, is Not Cool

Justin Timberlake may be a music superstar, actor and heart throb who graces the cover of GQ’s Men of the Year issue, but he insists that he’s not cool. At least not in the literal sense. As Justin explains in the December issue of the magazine, “being cool is about keeping your blood pressure steady,” rather than being passionate. Similar to Kanye, he isn’t the type of guy who can restrain himself. That’s true whether he’s passionately in love with something or passionately in disagreement, as is the case with negative Runner, Runner reviews . “This recognizable face that you work so hard to get … not because you want the recognition but because you know you’re made to do it,” he says, adding: “The movie didn’t do well at the box office, so I should quit?” “Hold on a second. If I was somebody else, you wouldn’t have said that. I have the number one album this week, and I shouldn’t have released it?” “Come on, man. You sound like a (jerk) … It just shocked me because, like, you’re trade magazines. None of your opinions count. And by the way, none of you can do it.” Other excerpts from the interview: On what he aspires to be his reputation: “I don’t see myself as someone who’s ever going to be defined by one moment. It’s on to the next.” On growing up in Memphis: “It’s a struggling city with a defeatist attitude. I’m from this town, and I grew up with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder.” “So sometimes I find it funny that I’ve been able to acquire the patience it takes to be kind to people in our business. Because sometimes I just want to (expletive) kill everybody.” On his upcoming role in Inside Llewyn Davis : “You do a [Coen Brothers] movie and secretly you’re like, ‘All I want to do is make people laugh in this movie.” “If I can make people laugh in this movie, then I don’t care. Whatever else happens, happens.'”

Obama’s “Little Brother/ Personal Assistant/ Body Man” Reggie Love Is Chunking Him The Deuces

Poor Barry-O ! Another one bites the dust. Reggie Love, a key member of the Obama entourage, is planning to leave the White House by the end of the year, people close to the administration said. Love, 30, is a popular, gregarious figure in the White House. A onetime forward for the Duke Blue Devils basketball team, Love started out as a staff assistant in Obama’s Senate office after college, rising to become his personal assistant, known as the “body man.” Love’s exit comes at a time of transition for the administration: several longtime advisers have left over the last year, in keeping with the time-honored tradition that close aides do not abandon the president immediately before an election. But Love’s position may be among the most difficult for Obama to fill. Obama has described Love as “the person who keeps me on schedule.” But like many young loyalists on the Obama staff, Love has evolved into a much more important role over time, acting as a gatekeeper and a liaison – and basketball buddy. Obama once described him as a “little brother.” Among the recognizable members of the Obama team in public – he is a towering 6-foot-4 — Love is also a constant presence in the West Wing and by the president’s side during every trip away from home. He is in the background of countless official photos, even if he rarely speaks in a public setting, apart from the occasional interview on ESPN. White House officials did not immediately offer details about Love’s departure. Damn. First the Fat Boys break up, now this? Oh well at least there are plenty of pictures to remember him by. Obama Touts Fulfilled Iraq Pledge, But Withdrawal Deal Was Set Up by Bush

President Barack Obama told disabled veterans in Atlanta on Monday that he was fulfilling a campaign promise by ending U.S. combat operations in Iraq “on schedule.” But the timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops in Iraq was decided during the Bush administration with the signing of the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) by U.S. and Iraq officials on Nov. 16, 2008. The Iraqi parliament signed SOFA on Nov. 27, 2008. The agreement , which had been in negotiations since 2007, set a timetable calling for most U.S. troops to leave Iraqi towns and cities by June 30, 2009, with about 50,000 troops left in place until the final withdrawal of all U.S. military forces by Dec. 31, 2011. “Today’s vote affirms the growth of Iraq’s democracy and increasing ability to secure itself,” President George W. Bush said of the Iraqi parliamentary vote in a statement on Nov. 27, 2008. “Two years ago this day seemed unlikely – but the success of the surge and the courage of the Iraqi people set the conditions for these two agreements to be negotiated and approved by the Iraqi Parliament.” At the convention for disabled vets on Monday, many of whom served in Iraq, President Obama took credit for ending the war. “As a candidate for president, I pledged to bring the war in Iraq to a responsible end,” Obama said. “Shortly after taking office, I announced our new strategy for Iraq and for a transition to full Iraqi responsibility. “And I made it clear that by August 31st, 2010, America’s combat mission in Iraq would end,” Obama said . “And that is exactly what we are doing – as promised and on schedule.” On Feb. 27, 2009 — one month after taking office as president — Obama in a speech said, “Let me say this as plainly as I can. By August 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will end.” On his campaign Web site, Organizing for America, however, it states that Obama would end the “war responsibly” within 16 months of assuming office, or by roughly May 20, 2010. The Web site reads: “Barack Obama will work with military commanders on the ground in Iraq and in consultation with the Iraqi government to end the war safely and responsibly within 16 months.” A Dec. 2, 2008 article in the Christian Science Monitor reported that President-elect Obama told Iraqi officials he supported the SOFA. “The security pact was the first such agreement since the invasion to outline specific terms for U.S. involvement in Iraq,” the article stated. “It was also the first in the region to be publicly debated and approved. Iraqi leaders backed the agreement after reassurances from President-elect Obama that his administration would not try to change the accord negotiated by the Bush administration.” The “surge” by U.S. troops in Iraq was announced by President Bush in January 2007 and involved the deployment of more than 20,000 additional soldiers. By mid-June, the additional brigades were in place and the surge began, focusing on al-Qaeda, Sunni and Shia foes in Anbar, Baghdad, Babil and Diyala provinces. By September, U.S. commander Gen. David Petraeus was able to report to Congress that “the military objectives of the surge are, in large measure, being met.” At the time Bush announced the surge in January 2007, then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) said, “I personally indicated that an escalation of troop levels in Iraq was a mistake and that we need a political accommodation rather than a military approach to the sectarian violence there.” Then, in January 2008, after Bush’s state of the Union Speech and when it was evident that the surge had been successful, Obama said , “Tonight we heard President Bush say that the surge in Iraq is working, when we know that’s just not true.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who also opposed the surge, issued a statement on Monday this week giving Obama credit for ending the war in Iraq. “America’s brave men and women in uniform have done everything that has been asked of them in the war in Iraq; they have performed excellently,” Pelosi said. “Soon, our nation will begin a new chapter in this effort, ending combat operations on the schedule President Obama promised.” But in February 2008, Pelosi said Bush’s military strategy in Iraq had failed. “The purpose of the surge was to create a secure time for the government of Iraq to make the political change to bring reconciliation to Iraq,” Pelosi said on CNN’s “Late Edition.” “They have not done that.” In Atlanta on Monday, Obama praised the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, which will finally end, according to the SOFA agreement, on Dec. 31, 2011. “Already, we have closed or turned over to Iraq hundreds of bases,” Obama said. “We’re moving out millions of pieces of equipment in one of the largest logistics operations that we’ve seen in decades. “By the end of this month, we’ll have brought more than 90,000 of our troops home from Iraq since I took office – more than 90,000 have come home,” Obama said. Nick Jonas, Jordin Sparks Launch Leadership Committee to Honor Reagan

It’s been nearly 100 years since the birth of former President Ronald Reagan, and the Gipper is still inspiring lives. What’s surprising is his latest fans weren’t born until after his presidency. Singers Nick Jonas and Jordin Sparks have joined forces as co-chairs for the National Youth Leadership Committee, a committee comprised of 38 prominent young athletes, musicians and student leaders. Age hasn’t stopped these members from being inspired by the life of the nation’s 40 th president – members of the group are all under the age of 25. According to a press release , the committee is partnering with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and will represent “America’s next generation of leaders” at the Ronald Reagan Centennial Celebration, which will kick off in Los Angeles on Feb. 5, 2011, the day before what would have been Reagan’s 100 th birthday. Jonas expressed his pride in being a part of the group. “My father and my family were supporters of Reagan,” he told the AP . Jonas also called Reagan a “personal hero” because of “the way he stood up for causes he believed were right, no matter what.” Sparks also spoke of Reagan as a model in her career, praising his “optimism” and “graciousness.” According to the Reagan Centennial website, Sparks said that being a part of the committee will enable her to “give back just a fraction of the blessings I’ve received.” Other recognizable members of the committee include Olympic gold-medalist gymnast Nastia Liukin, Indy car racer Marco Andretti, Olympic swimmer Katie Hoff, recording artist Jordan Pruitt and Chicago White Sox player Ross Wilson. While a group of influential young people honoring a president’s legacy on his birthday should seem laudable, USA Today’s David Jackson didn’t let his coverage of the committee go without downplaying Reagan’s legacy, calling the 100 th anniversary of his birth a “big political event next year (at least for conservatives).”
