For Discussion: Man Responsible For Usher’s Stepson Kile Glover’s Jet Ski Death Could Face Jail Time… Should He Be Charged?

Can justice be served in this sad case? Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster’s 11-year-old son Kile Glover died tragically after being held on life support for two weeks following a jet ski accident. However, his untimely death may bring more serious charges to the man responsible. Usher’s stepson Kile Glover died on Saturday July 21 after being hit by a jet ski, driven by family friend Jeffrey Hubbard, on July 7. Jeffrey may face serious charges now that Kile, 11, has died. An investigation into the accident is moving forward at this point, according to TMZ . The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division says they will take into account Kile’s death when they make their recommendation to the District Attorney. The report is allegedly still coming together and there is no foreseeable timetable on when the investigation will be complete. It isn’t yet known when the investigation will be completed. But we are keeping Tameka, Usher and Kile’s family in our thoughts at this time. Do you think the man who hit Kile’s inner tube should be charged for his death? Source

VIDEO: Guess What’s Wrong With This War Horse

It’s been a long awards season talking about animal performances and the variations therein — from Uggie’s full-blooded canine craftsmanship in The Artist to Andy Serkis’s arguably Oscar-worthy performance-capture efforts as Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes . And then there’s Joey, the eponymous equine stud of War Horse , played by roughly a dozen or more different horses over the course of Steven Spielberg’s epic. But there’s something strange about the one recently revealed in some War Horse test footage. You have to go to watch the (currently unembeddable) video over at Facebook . I’ll offer little more beyond my recommendation, except to add that Uggie never would have gone for this. [ Chris Clarke via AICN ]

Elsewhere In The World: Australian Crime Commissioner Pays Country’s Biggest Yayo Dealer 200 Racks To Turn Snitch!!

Looks like crime DOES pay…in Australia! The NSW Crime Commission has confirmed an informant codenamed “Tom” was paid in March 2006 for “sustenance over the next four years”. “That amount was in fact paid by the commission,” a spokesman confirmed yesterday, The Daily Telegraph reported. The decision to give Tom the $200,000 reimbursement was made largely because of the recommendation of disgraced former NSW Crime Commission assistant director Mark Standen, who was using Tom as an informant. Standen was recently found guilty of trying to import 120kg of pseudoephedrine, for which he faces sentencing next month. The Australian Federal Police confirmed this week that, along with the Australian Crime Commission, it had confiscated two amounts totalling $825,000 from Tom, which he had given to the NSW Crime Commission in 2005. Tom handed the commission a further $53,000 in October that year and it, together with the earlier payments and accrued interest, totalled $936,000, which was confiscated by the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions. The money wasn’t the only perk that “Tom” received from the NSW… Tom was also given immunity for crimes ranging from drive-by shootings to kidnap because the NSW Crime Commission considered him such a valuable informant. According to Standen’s testimony, Tom was not allowed to “keep” his money but was given “money in specie” – in other words the drug money was kept by the Commonwealth but an amount equivalent was legitimised and “he was paid an amount of money from commission funds”, Standen said. We’re not exactly sure what part of the game this is, but it’s safe to say that “Tom” is one lucky muhfugga! How many drug dealers turn themselves and their money in and STILL get gwap like this?! Oksana Grigorieva Case: Conflict of Interest With D.A.?

No decision has been made yet, but sources report that Mel Gibson is likely to be charged with domestic violence in an alleged attack on Oksana Grigorieva. At the same time, Oksana, who Mel alleges tried to bilk him out of millions by lording his taped rants over his head, is likely to be off the hook for extortion. The question complicating an already confusing, drawn-out mess of a case is whether L.A. County District Attorney Steve Cooley should even be involved. Is the D.A. biased by a connection to Oksana’s lawyer? The D.A.’s office will soon decide the fate of Oksana and Mel, but critics are pointing to fundraisers he attended on his own behalf as questionable. Why? The lawyer who negotiated Oksana’s $15 million settlement – which she left on the table, and is at the core of the extortion investigation – is Eric George. George, a prominent Beverly Hills civil lawyer, hosted both campaign fundraisers last year, while the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department was investigating. George contributed more than $8,000 to Cooley in 2010 …

Cayenne Pepper – Stop a heart attack fast

(NaturalNews) Did you know that you can actually stop a heart attack in its tracts with the simple but amazing and awesome power of cayenne pepper? It's true. Cayenne pepper can actually stop a heart attack in about 60 seconds flat! How To Use Cayenne Pepper To Stop A Heart Attack Fast! Famed healers such as Dr. John Christopher, N.D., and Dr. Richard Schulze, N.D., sang the praises of Cayenne pepper. For instance Dr. John Christopher declared: “In 35 years of practice, and working with the people and teaching, I have never on house calls lost one heart attack patient and the reason is, whenever I go in–if they are still breathing–I pour down them a cup of cayenne tea (a teaspoon of cayenne in a cup of hot water, and within minutes they are up and around).” It should be noted that these men, and many other healers like them, were speaking from personal experience and not speculation when referring to this powerful plant. So what are the best practices in using Cayenne pepper based upon the voice and experiences of those that have actually used it? First the Cayenne pepper must be at least 90,000 heat units or 90,000(H.U.) to be able to stop a heart attack. If the cayenne is at least 90,000 H.U. and the person is still conscious, the recommendation is to mix 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder in a glass of warm water (this is essentially a “cayenne tea”), and give it to the person to drink. If the person is unconscious then the recommendation is to use a cayenne tincture or extract, again of at least 90,000 H.U., and put a couple of full droppers underneath their tongue full strength. As noted above by Dr. Christopher, in 35 years of practice he never lost even 1 heart attack case if the person was still breathing when he arrived, and he attributed this to the prudent use of the cayenne pepper. Other Uses Of Cayenne One of the most profitable uses of cayenne pepper is as a catalyst in other herbal combinations. As a general rule it should be added to almost all herbal combinations with the exception of those classified as nervines (combinations made specifically for nerve issues). Because it has a stimulating effect upon the body, it speeds the circulation thereby causing it to enhance digestion as well as absorption. Therefore it can enhance or increase the effectiveness of practically any herbal formula. In fact it is often used this way in formulas for arthritis, various female complaints, infections, heart or circulatory issues, laxatives, diuretics, ulcers, thyroid issues etc. Cayenne's Nutritional Profile Cayenne has at least 26 different nutrients! It contains minerals such as Zinc, Selenium, Calcium, and Magnesium. It also contains vitamins such as Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Additionally it boasts both “crude fiber” and “dietary fiber”, as well as Carbohydrates. Cayenne certainly appears to be God's “Nitro-Glycerin” when it comes to heart attacks and one would be unwise to leave home without it. Lindsay Lohan Judge Removes Herself From Case

Marsha Revel’s move comes amid allegations of improper practices. By Jayson Rodriguez Lindsay Lohan appears in court (file) Photo: Pool/ Getty Images The Beverly Hills, California, judge who presided over Lindsay Lohan’s recent probation-violation case has removed herself from further proceedings involving the actress after allegations of improper practices. According to TMZ , Judge Marsha Revel contacted various medical experts and participants in Lohan’s case without notifying the former Disney star’s lawyer or the district attorney’s office. A source in the D.A.’s office reportedly told TMZ that Revel stepped down from the case in lieu of the prosecution’s impending request to have her removed. The move is notable because the judge made headlines when she went against the recommendation of experts in Lohan’s case and ordered the troubled star to a different rehab facility after she completed her prison term . Lohan was slated to check into the Morningside Recovery treatment center, however, Revel changed the location, ultimately selecting the UCLA Medical Center instead. Reports suggested Revel was concerned drugs could be attained by Lohan at the recommended treatment center. Sources told TMZ that Lohan’s legal team and prosecutors met Friday to discuss their issues with Revel. Among the complaints aired during the conversation was that the judge contacted representatives at Morningside Recovery on two occasions without properly disclosing her actions. Revel also allegedly met with Robert Shapiro, the attorney Lohan briefly hired after her lawyer in the case quit. The judge, TMZ reported, failed to notify the prosecution of the Shapiro meeting in her chambers. Revel was particularly harsh with Lohan during the troubled actress’ sentencing , scolding her after she pleaded for leniency. “It’s like someone who cheats but doesn’t think it’s cheating if they don’t get caught,” the judge said. Open Thread: Too Much TV and Video Games Double Attention Problems

In today’s “I Could Have Told You That” open thread segment:  Too much time spent watching television and playing video games can double the risk of attention problems in children and young adults, new research finds. The study is the latest of many to point out the ill effects of excessive screen time, whether at the computer or the television. Researcher Edward Swing, a graduate student at Iowa State University, compared participants who watched TV or played video games less than two hours a day — the recommendation from the American Academy of Pediatrics for children aged 2 and older — to those who watched more. “Those who exceeded the AAP recommendation were about 1.6 times to 2.2 times more likely to have greater than average attention problems,” he said. Thoughts?

Wife of Dennis Hopper May Want Him Dead

Dennis Hopper has filed legal papers in his bitter divorce, and his doctor claims the less he has to do with his estranged wife, Victoria, the longer he’ll live. Women. You can’t live with ’em … hey, what’s on ESPN? The actor’s lawyer, Joe Mannis, says while his client battles advanced prostate cancer, Victoria has “repeatedly subjected him to severe emotional distress .” He’s not kidding, either According to Dr. David Agus’ declaration, “The presence of his estranged wife is hampering Mr. Hopper’s present cancer care…” “It is my belief and my recommendation that the less Mr. Hopper has to do with his estranged wife, the more likely he is to have his life extended.” This marriage may be in worse shape than Tiger and Elin Woods ‘. Dennis is asking the judge for an order keeping Victoria 15 yards away from him and barring her from his residence. Probably not the worst idea. Dennis filed for divorce against Victoria last month. She claims in response that Dennis’ adult children are pulling his strings and want to cut her out of his will. In their declarations, Dennis and his doctor say he is of sound mind to make his own decisions. If they divorce, she loses a 25 percent cut of Dennis’ estate. Hopper says that Victoria’s mother “…told me in November 2009 that I should leave the bulk of my property to [Victoria] as I was going to die soon.” “I found this statement distressing, inappropriate, bizarre, and disturbing.” Dennis also says Victoria and her mom grilled him late one night in December about how much money and property Victoria would get when he died. As for Victoria’s claims that Dennis smoked medical marijuana in front of their young girl, he says he has never smoked anything in front of the child. Dennis says Victoria’s demand that he not smoke within six hours of seeing their daughter is “an absurd request.” He says he would agreed to one hour. Dennis is asking for daily visitation rights to 6-year-old Galen.
