Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are going to be parents! The Dictator actress, 35, and her Parks and Recreation star husband, 32, are expecting their first child this fall, her rep confirmed Wednesday. After tying the knot in 2009, the couple were open about their dreams of a large family, but admitted the timing was “so hard in this industry.” Sounds like the timing is right now: Faris is pregnant ! Still, The Five Year Engagement actor made it clear he’s ready to fall into fatherhood, and soon at that. “Chris wants a big family,” Faris said. The actress stars alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator , opening May 16. Pratt is filming Zero Dark Thirty for director Kathryn Bigelow. Chris was also in Moneyball , branching out significantly from his always hilarious Parks and Recreation quotes as lovable, hapless Andy Dwyer. Congratulations to the soon-to-be parents! Singer posts picture on Facebook with message to fans: ‘The countdown to ‘Where Have You Been’ is on.’ By Jocelyn Vena Rihanna in “Where Have You Been” Photo: Def Jam/Rihanna/Facebook The pieces of Rihanna ‘s “Where Have You Been” music video puzzle are coming together, one photo at a time. In a new black-and-white pic posted Monday on her Facebook page , the singer kneels in a landscape of tree branches and cascading flowers. Next to her is a white fur throw. She’s wearing a mesh bikini top and a metallic skirt tied around her waist. The look is accessorized with her hair down and lots of big bangles. In March, Rihanna was snapped on the set of the video. In a candid picture posted online, the singer is looking down, her hair is done up in a messy way and she’s sporting no top , but is wearing lots of clunky bracelets. About the video, she teased, “Video shoot goin MAJAH!” Weeks later, she dropped the single art for the song . In it, Rihanna covers most of her face with a leopard-print scarf. All fans see of her is her eye, all dolled up with heavy, smoky eye makeup. “Where Have You Been” will be the third video released from Talk That Talk , following the footsteps of the quirky “You Da One” clip and the cinematic “We Found Love.” This is also her second single produced and written by Calvin Harris, who also worked with her on “WFL.” The song’s production also gets an assist from Dr. Luke and Ester Dean, among others. While she has yet to announce a release date for the video, she did offer a bit of insight into when it might drop, writing on Facebook, “The countdown to ‘Where Have You Been’ is on.” Are you awaiting Rihanna’s new video? Jack White, Metallica, Stevie Wonder and Fun. also set to appear at fifth-annual San Francisco fest, set for August 10-12. By James Montgomery Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and Nate Mendel Photo: Peter Wafzig/ Getty Images Jack White, Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder, Skrillex and Metallica top the bill for the fifth annual Outside Lands festival, set for August 10-12 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Beck, Sigur Ros, Big Boi and more are also set to appear at the fest, along with a host of bands shaking the rust off from their lengthy breaks — Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Regina Spektor, Grandaddy (!) etc — and hotly tipped newcomers like Alabama Shakes, Of Monsters and Men and Yellow Ostrich. Want even more? OK, how about the Kills, Die Antwoord, Fun., the Walkmen, Justice, and Explosions in the Sky? All in all, Outside Lands organizers announced more than 60 bands for the bill — with more set to be revealed in the coming weeks. Tickets for the fest will go on sale Thursday at noon PT through SFOutsideLands.com , and a portion of every ticket sold directly benefits San Francisco’s Recreation and Park Department. Oh, and in keeping with grand tradition, this year’s fest also boasts a huge selection of food and wine options, so you can get your locally sourced, totally organic buzz on while watching Norah Jones. Oddly fitting. Since launching in 2008, Outside Lands has hosted a who’s who of top-tier talent (Radiohead, Pearl Jam, the Kings of Leon), with last year’s fest being headlined by Muse, Phish and the Arcade Fire. ‘It’s still a little top-secret,’ Jepsen tells MTV News about the track. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Carly Rae Jepsen at 2012 Spring Break Photo: MTV News Carly Rae Jepsen is poised to break out of the shadow out of label boss Justin Bieber , thanks to her catchy ode to flirting, “Call Me Maybe.” But that doesn’t mean she and the superstar are going their separate ways. Recently, the Canadian singer revealed that she and Bieber worked on a track together , and when MTV News caught up with her in Las Vegas at mtvU Spring Break , she teased a bit of what their team-up sounds like. “We collaborated on one song together, but in general, I was blown away by Justin,” Jepsen said. “He’s so down-to-earth and very charming and very talented. It’s still a little top-secret, but it’s going to be coming out soon, I hope. “Mum’s the word!” she added. “It’s a really lovely song. The way he presented it was pretty cool. It was my first time meeting him. I was at the studio, and he basically just said, ‘What do you think of this song?’ and I was like, ‘Wow, I love it.’ ” From there, the “Boyfriend” singer asked her to collaborate on it, and she happily accepted the offer. “It’s pretty stripped-down,” she said. “It’s pretty casual. It’s not too dance-y; it’s more intimate. It’s a duet.” While Jepsen is riding high off the success of “Call Me Maybe,” she is hard at work on her album, and she hopes to one day be able to help out another artist like Bieber did for her. “It’s hard to believe at the moment. It’s definitely a surreal life that I’m in right now, but I’m enjoying every second of it,” she said. “It’s pretty crazy. They say it’s called paying it forward [since Usher signed Bieber and then he signed me], so I’m gonna hope that I have the opportunity. That’d be pretty rad. “He’s such an inspiration,” she added. “No matter what his age, I think his career is really impressive. It’s pretty amazing that he’s remained so humble and cool.” What are you expecting from Carly and Justin’s duet? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Carly Rae Jepsen Justin Bieber
‘I haven’t dipped my hat into that ring,’ the ‘Parks and Rec’ star tells MTV News of teaming up with his friend ‘Ye. By Elizabeth Lancaster Aziz Ansari Photo: MTV News NEW YORK — Aziz Ansari has been keeping pretty busy lately, working on everything from his full-time “Parks and Recreation” gig to a buzzed-about cameo in Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “Otis” music video last year. After Ansari’s feature in the Watch the Throne clip and his and Kanye’s joint participation in Nike’s Kobe System videos, fans are speculating about the pair’s next step together. Could a musical partnership be in the works? Not anytime soon, according to Ansari. MTV News caught up with the comedian in Central Park, where he was taking time off from his busy schedule to rep his inner Tom Haverford and ceremonially mow a stretch of grass for New York City’s Central Park Conservancy. After safely dismounting his lawnmower, Ansari told us of his pal ‘Ye, “We [collaborated] on the video, but music-wise, not at this point. I haven’t dipped my hat into that ring.” In the meantime, divert your attention to Ansari’s newest standup special, “Dangerously Delicious.” Following in the footsteps of Louis C.K., Aziz’s hour-long special was released exclusively for download on his site for $5 and is as fresh as it is hilarious. The comedian guarantees there are no overlaps with his Buried Alive Tour material, so even if you are going to see him at Montclair, New Jersey’s Wellmont Theatre next week, you can treat yo’self with this special — and continue to hope for more Kanye/Aziz magic in the future. What is your favorite Kanye/Aziz collabo so far? Are you crossing your fingers for a joint musical venture? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Kanye West
The party will benefit his Make It Right foundation, which aims to rebuild New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. By Jocelyn Vena Brad Pitt Photo: WireImage Brad Pitt knows how to throw a party. The Oscar-nominated actor has enlisted the help of Rihanna, her pal Kanye West and many more dazzling stars to appear at a charity gala he’s holding in New Orleans to benefit his post-Katrina cause, the Make It Right foundation. Being held at the Hyatt Regency on Saturday (March 10), the night will be co-hosted by Ellen Degeneres and co-emceed by Drew Brees. Other guests and performers include Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Spike Lee, Blake Lively, Djimon Hounsou, Chris and Jada Paul, Bennett Miller and Randy Jackson , according to E! News . Rihanna is slated to take the stage during the gala. But the night doesn’t end at the gala. For the afterparty, “Parks and Recreation” funnyman Aziz Ansari will host, and Seal and Yeezy have been tapped to perform. Emeril Lagasse will cook up delights that pay homage to New Orleans’ colorful culinary tradition. The gala will help raise funds for lower-income housing in Lower 9th Ward, a neighborhood in New Orleans that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. They aim to complete 150 houses. According to the website for Make It Right, the foundation “builds safe, sustainable and affordable homes for working families. We aim to be a catalyst for change in the building industry in New Orleans and beyond.” Pitt has already been spotted around New Orleans with his family. His kids were spotted in the French Quarter walking their bulldog, Jacques, and Brad had been spotted on his motorcycle. Related Artists Kanye West Rihanna
In 1865, actor and Confederate loyalist John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Abraham Lincoln in the balcony of Ford’s Theatre, committing one of the most notorious crimes in American history. In 2013, Fox News talking head Bill O’Reilly will team up with Tony and Ridley Scott for a two-hour National Geographic documentary exploring the events surrounding Lincoln’s death, adapted from Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever , co-written by O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. But with so many previous Lincoln assassination projects in the ether, what new ground can O’Reilly and the Scott brothers tread in Killing Lincoln ? Lincoln’s death, of course, was so violent, tragic, and significant an event that it inspired many a filmmaker over the years. D.W. Griffith made a film in 1930 — his second screen depiction of the act — entitled simply Abraham Lincoln , that examined the president’s life, taking a few creative liberties along the way. (You can watch it here in its entirety, if you’re so inclined.) In the same decade, John Ford made two movies with ties to Lincoln: The Prisoner of Shark Island , about the doctor who tended to Booth after the attack on Lincoln, and Young Mr. Lincoln , which focused on the future president’s career as a young lawyer. And as the decades went on, scores more depictions of Lincoln’s life and death were committed to celluloid as generation after generation of filmmakers sought to mine the event for the social and historical significance it bore to the shaping of America. Unfortunately, other attempts, like Robert Redford’s recent The Conspirator , proved downright snoozeworthy. Hence, it seems, O’Reilly and the Scott brothers’ attempt to jazz up the Lincoln saga with “feature-like re-enactments, rare historical archives and CGI.” CGI! O’Reilly and Dugard’s 2011 nonfiction book promised “history that reads like a thriller.” Set your DVRs for high intrigue at Ford’s Theatre! (And if that’s not enough Honest Abe for ya, there’s also Steven Spielberg ‘s Daniel Day-Lewis-starring Lincoln biopic and the promising Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter coming up later this year.) Regardless of how much adrenaline the O’Reilly factor pumps into recreating Booth’s dastardly attack in Killing Lincoln , I’m not sure it could stand up to the rollicking menace of this recreation, as seen in the major motion picture National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets : Or: Might it unearth new theories regarding what motivated Booth to pull the trigger, a la Family Guy ? In any case, there’s no way Killing Lincoln can capture the truth of the event quite like this sketch from The Whitest Kids U Know . I’m pretty sure this is totally historically accurate .
