The 6 Best Moments of Jimmy Fallon’s Glee Parody

The most amazing part of Jimmy Fallon’s Lost and Glee parodies? Their length. In a medium that is designed for bits that clock in under two minutes, the Late Night host lets these puppies go on for ever . Case in point: The second episode of “6-Bee,” Fallon’s spot-on spoof of Glee , lasts a shade over nine (nine!) minutes. With a running time like that, it’s no wonder there are great moments aplenty. Well, that and the appearance from the entire cast of Parks and Recreation , minus Aziz Ansari. If you don’t have a spare 1/6 of an hour lying around, here’s a running diary of the best parts.

Dark Side of the Moon Patrol – The MOON8 Review

Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon is one of the most important albums in popular music. With over 45 million copies sold, an unbeatable record 741 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and the standard by which audiophiles show off their sound systems, it is one of a rare group of albums that truly are required listening. So what happens when you take one of the most legendary recordings of all time and recreate it in the chiptunes style? Come inside and take a listen. You may just be surprised. Now I am a huge chiptunes fan, but when it comes to these kinds of recordings, they really have to be done right to be listenable beyond mere curiosity. Not only does MOON8 sound good, it transcends sounding like music done for a video game. Sure, the tones are undeniably old-school NES, but nothing has been done to tweak the music to sound like it actually came from a game. This is a chiptunes recreation in its purest sense. What I find truly stunning about MOON8 is just how much effort has gone into the recreation of nearly all of Pink Floyd’s instrumentation. This is obviously not something that was cranked out in a weekend to say “hey, look what I can do.” The music is a labor of love, for both the source material and style in which it has been recreated. I was skeptical before hearing them, and then completely blown away by, how well the explosion of clock chimes at the beginning of “Time” and the cash register opening of “Money ” were done. Both pieces precisely capture the spirit of the originals in the chiptune style. Frankly, it’s pretty mind blowing how good the whole album sounds. The pulsing analog synths of “On the Run” sound frighteningly close to the original and the bleep-creations of Clare Torry’s vocalizations in “The Great Gig in the Sky” are spot on. It makes me wish LA’s Laserium hadn’t recently shut down (again) because replacing their regular DSOTM laser-show with this music for one night would be beyond cool to see.

Ashley Tisdale To Star In ‘High School Musical’ Spin-Off

Actress will reportedly return to Disney Channel for ‘Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures.’ By Jocelyn Vena Ashley Tisdale Photo: Eric Charbonneau/ Getty Images Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron and Corbin Bleu have all said goodbye to their “High School Musical” alter egos for now, but apparently Ashley Tisdale wasn’t ready to just yet. She’s reportedly going to play Sharpay Evans again in her own spin-off film for the Disney Channel called, “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures.” A rep for the actress hadn’t returned MTV News’ request for comment by press time, but the rep did confirm to JustJared.com that Tisdale will star in and executive produce the movie, which will shoot this summer. It’s expected to premiere in 2011. There is no word on whether any of her former “High School Musical” pals (particularly Lucas Grabeel who plays her twin brother, Ryan) will also return for the TV-movie. “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” hit theaters in 2008, and there have been rumors that “High School Musical 4” is expected to go into production. While Tisdale and her co-stars seemed ready to try new projects after “HSM 3,” she didn’t rule out playing Sharpay again. “We don’t really know anything about ‘HSM 4,’ actually. It’s flattering to leave the door open for a character, so that’s really awesome,” she said in late 2008. “I’m just kind of looking forward to other projects as well. It’s something that we’ve always loved to do … and [we’re looking forward to] growing in our careers and looking ahead.” Tisdale has been busy with several non-“HSM” TV and movie projects, including the comedy “They Came From Upstairs” and a pilot for a CW series called “Hellcats.” Tisdale also started her own production company, Blondie Girl Productions . Are you excited to see Tisdale return as Sharpay one more time? Tell us in the comments! Related Artists Ashley Tisdale

Justin Bieber Takes Over ‘Funny or Die’ In Elaborate April Fools’ Prank

‘Anything that’s not Bieber dies!’ teen star says in video message on ‘Bieber or Die.’ By Jocelyn Vena Photo: FunnyOrDie.com After “Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari’s alter ego Raaaaaaaandy swore blood vengeance on Justin Bieber in a Funny or Die video for “stealing” his song “Baby,” it seems that Bieber is having the last laugh. In an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank, Bieber has taken over Funny or Die, renaming it “Bieber or Die.” A message on the Web site reads, “Justin Bieber has decided to buy Funny or Die and do with it whatever his tiny little heart desires.” Not only has Bieber “bought” the site to do whatever he pleases with it, he’s also made several videos for it. In one clip, called “Bieber Takes Over,” the teen star explains why he supposedly took over the site and the sorts of things he does now that he’s famous. “Anything that’s not Bieber dies!” he said. “I’m a star. I do what stars do. I ride on yachts. I autograph lady lumps. And I pay people to slap them.” “I talk loudly in libraries and I swim directly after I eat. I don’t care. I once ran into a club. They said, ‘Sir, you’re not old enough.’ So bought the club and I made it a Chuck E. Cheese. Now whose old enough, bitch? So remember, this is Bieber’s world. You’re just living in it. Justin Bieber Thinks Aziz Ansari’s ‘Baby’ Parody Is ‘Hilarious’

‘I loved the video,’ Bieber says about Ansari’s Funny or Die offering. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News “Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari’s alter ego Raaaaaaaandy has declared war on Justin Bieber . In a Funny or Die video , he claims that Bieber stole his song “Baby” from him, and Raaaaaaaandy sits down to dish all about the day that Bieber (played by a lookalike) stopped by his studio, heard Raaaaaaaandy’s “Baby Baby” and then later released his own soundalike tune “Baby.” “Two months ago I was in the studio, working on the Raaaaaaaandy mixtape and Justin Bieber stops by … what happens next?” he teased, before continuing with his tale. “That’s real nice, man,” Fake Bieber tells Raaaaaaaandy before shooting him and telling him to keep his mouth shut until he releases his own version of the hit track. What happens next? Bieber trashes Raaaaaaaandy’s studio and leaves Raaaaaaaandy a message not to mess with him. As it turns out, the real Justin Bieber finds the whole video pretty hilarious. “Yeah yeah yeah! I saw it! It was hilarious. I loved the video,” Bieber told MTV news. “He did a great job and the so-called Justin Bieber in the video was hilarious.” And while Bieber gives a big “maybe” to collaborating with Raaaaaaaandy in the future, Ansari has made it clear on his Twitter page that he’s serious about getting Bieber back for the plagiarism. “Swear I just saw 12 yr old with a doo rag … messing w/my car. Brakes might get cut,” he joked. “#BiebersAfterMe.” Related Artists Justin Bieber
