She may be behind bars, but Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is willing to do whatever it takes to maintain a relationship with her 3-year-old daughter, Leah. Or at least she was, before she chose prison over her child. It’s this sad turn of events that makes the final season of Teen Mom so gut wrenching. On tonight’s episode, her time in rehab in Malibu, Calif., is chronicled. Gary Shirley’s ex-fiancee receives a visit from Leah and her father, but their reunion doesn’t exactly go off without a hitch, thanks in part to a court order. The Aeropostale-shirt-wearing Gary was shocked to find out that he’s barred, legally, from being in the same room with his ex and daughter simultaneously. “I brought Leah with me but I guess we can’t be together,” he says, and after an embrace, the couple part ways so Amber Portwood can visit with Leah. “This is where Mommy’s been living for a while,” Portwood tells her. Despite her recent legal troubles, Portwood has vowed to keep up her relationship with Shirley and their little girl as much as possible while behind bars. Good luck with that, given your five-year sentence. Hopefully Jenelle Evans and Gary Head take note, because they’re heading down the same road.
Perry’s ‘Part of Me’ documentary gives fans a candid look at the demise of her relationship with Russell Brand. By Christina Garibaldi Katy Perry in the “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D” trailer Photo: It’s been a whirlwind of a year for pop superstar Katy Perry . In 2011, she earned six #1 singles off her Teenage Dream album, embarked on a worldwide tour and endured a very public breakup from Russell Brand . And now fans can share all these experiences and more as Perry is set to release her 3-D documentary, “Part of Me,” on July 5th. The movie chronicles her unparalleled year as she has career highs, but suffers personal lows. And it’s those very personal moments, especially with Brand, that many will find most surprising. For the past six months, Perry has been mum on the issue of her divorce, and now for the first time, she is opening up about the split. The film picks up just a few months after the two tied the knot , as Perry embarks on her biggest tour to date, the California Dreams Tour. Fans witness Perry put in hours of hard work preparing for the tour and traveling to hundreds of different cities. Yet, with the success that she was having onstage, it was offstage where things were falling apart. It seems her new marriage and a grueling tour schedule were not mixing well, but it was not from lack of trying: Perry was adamant that while on her nearly yearlong tour, she take time out to see her husband, but in the end, it just couldn’t save the marriage. At one point, while flying to one of her tour stops, Perry admits to the camera, “I’m trying to keep my marriage alive.” “Part of Me” gives fans a rare glimpse inside a celebrity marriage, with Brand featured throughout the film. Some moments are touching, like when the comedian comes to wish her well on the opening night of her tour, yet some are heartbreaking to watch. In one scene, Perry is crying uncontrollably, delaying the start time of the concert, but like a true professional, she chokes back the tears and puts on a brave face for her fans. Perry talks candidly about Brand in the film, revealing that it was her skyrocketing career that could have played into the downfall of her marriage. “I thought to myself, ‘When I find that person that’s going to be my life partner, I won’t ever have to choose [between the partner and my career]. They won’t be threatened or have weird motives.’ Then I started to realize, that’s not true,” she admits. Yet, when asked in the film whether she still misses Brand, Perry begins to cry and admits that she does, but says she did everything she could to make it work. “I have that same belief system with everything, from career to my life to my personal life, everything. And I will do everything it takes to not fail,” she shares. “And I did everything it took, but it still failed.” Perry recently told MTV News that even though the subject of her divorce is difficult to deal with, she felt she would be doing her fans a disservice if she didn’t include it in the film. “The truth will always prevail,” Perry said. “Everything has to be handled integrously and appropriately, and it’s not nice to air all your dirty laundry, because that stinks, so I had to be very delicate with the situation, but I couldn’t avoid the elephant in the room,” she explained. “If you were to have seen that movie and walked out and [my breakup] wasn’t at all mentioned, like it never happened, you’d be like, ‘Eh, this is weird. What is she trying to hide?’ I don’t like to hide.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Katy Perry: Part of Me.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Kim Kardashian Keeps Friendship With Beyoncé Private In Attempt To Maintain Good Standing With Pop Star Kimmy Cakes is keeping quiet for a Kardashian… for once! The reality starlet is reportedly keen to stay cool with Beyoncé after the two made their first public appearance as “friends” Via GateCrasher reports : Kim Kardashian doesn’t want to blow her budding friendship with Beyoncé . A source tells us the reality star is being extra-careful — and strategic — when it comes to her relationship with the similarly bootylicious pop diva, whose husband, Jay-Z , is touring with Kardashian’s current beau, Kanye West . Although Kardashian has publicized, marketed and tweeted virtually every aspect of her life (see Ray J sex tape), our source says Kardashian is abiding by the “unwritten rule” that “she is not allowed to blast to the world her business with Bey and Jay,” who are obsessive about their privacy. “She’s hung with them a few times already, but she isn’t saying peep about them,” says the source. “She’s not tweeting or taking pictures with (Beyoncé) because she doesn’t want to seem desperate,” the Kardashian confidante explains. In mid-March, shortly before Kardashian joined West in London for his “Watch the Throne” tour with Jay-Z, we reported the soon-to-be divorcee was eager to get close to the “Irreplaceable” singer. “Kim wants to travel everywhere with Kanye, but she’s also trying to do whatever she can to get close to Beyoncé,” a Kardashian insider told us then. The strategy appears to be working. There are a number of media reports of Kardashian, 31, and Beyoncé, 30, hanging out together, and on Friday, the two women were photographed shaking their ample assets together at the “Watch the Throne” show in Birmingham, England. The ladies looked like old friends as they stood side by side, shielding their faces from the glare of photographers’ flashes. The concert marked the first time Beyoncé and Kardashian have been snapped together in public. Kardashian has a reputation for over-sharing: She’s not only made a name for herself from multiple reality shows on E!, she has shared nearly 12,000 tweets of personal information with her 15.1 million followers . Beyoncé, in comparison, has tweeted only once to her nearly 4.6 million followers: a note encouraging them to check out her new website. Though some of Kardashian’s tweets have referenced her three-month-old relationship with West, her Twitter followers have yet to get a behind-the-scenes peek at her friendship with Beyoncé — and they probably won’t without the 30-year-old mom’s blessing. “Beyoncé and Jay-Z have very controlled public images,” says a second source, who notes they they like to have a hand in the information “that’s put out there about them.” That source also downplays reports that Beyoncé was adamantly against hanging out with the reality star. “Beyoncé is careful with who she surrounds herself with, but she never hated Kim,” the insider explains. Well it’s already saying a lot that Bey even allowed herself to be photographed with Kimmy Cakes, we’ve never seen her do that with any of Yeezy’s other girls. But don’t you think Bey is a bit ridiculous with her “unwritten rules”? What kind of friend gets mad if you @ them on Twitter??? Any bets on how long Kim can manage to go without answering a Beyonce related question? We’d bet Kanye’s Lambo she’ll do whatever it takes to stay on her good side!
It was all good just a week ago, but now SpaceGhostPurrp and A$AP Rocky are at odds. By Rob Markman SpaceGhostPurrp Photo: It was all good just a week ago, but now SpaceGhostPurrp and his Raider Klan have fallen out with A$AP Rocky and the A$AP Mob. Purrp — who was responsible for producing Rocky’s “Keep It G” and “Pretty Flacko” and rhymed alongside Rock on “Purple Swag: Chapter 2” — sat with MTV News in May and broke down his relationship with the A$AP Mob, but last week, he revealed in a YouTube video that their union is no longer. “We Raider Klan, man. We got our own sh– going on. And that’s how the f— it is. We ain’t A$AP,” SpaceGhost said in the video, which has since been taken down. “I showed love to them n—as last year and some sh– went down and we don’t f— with each other no more.” It was a different story from the one Purrp told MTV News when he sat down with us in May. “Me and the Mob, we reached out to each other through the Internet. We showed love to each other. We had a good time,” he said of his A$AP relationship, which has since soured. “I came up to New York and met up with him, we got to know each other real well, and then we just became a little family. “I’m affiliated with A$AP. If I see him, we still do our handshake, we still got love, we’re real close homeys,” he added. Still, Purrp — who released his debut album, Mysterious Phonk: The Chronicles of SpaceGhostPurrp, last week — has always made a clear distinction between the A$AP Mob and his Raider Klan crew, which originated in his hometown of Miami. The beef is said to have started after Rocky’s groupmate, A$AP Twelvyy, got into an altercation with Matt Stoops from Purrp’s Raider Klan. Music site Mostly Junk Food has posted screen shots of deleted SpaceGhost tweets in which he accuses Twelvyy of attacking Stoops. While the beef does sound serious, Purrp told MTV News of a misunderstanding that he and Wiz Khalifa had prior to working together on Wiz’s Taylor Allderdice mixtape. Maybe after a conversation, he and Rocky can reach a similar accord. Do you believe SpaceGhostPurrp and A$AP Rocky can work out their differences? Let us know in the comments. Six roses. Four dudes. Things are getting serious on The Bachelorette. Who succeeded in wooing our beloved single mom from North Carolina, and who failed to make the final cut before next week’s coveted hometown dates? Follow this link for a rundown of The Bachelorette spoilers we know thus far, including the (alleged) final three. Then read on for THG’s official +/- recap! First, Prague is on my bucket list now. Beautiful city. Plus 4 . Our Southern Belle Emily Maynard walks the streets of Prague, sans daughter Ricki, musing about the hometown dates. Hostman Chris Harrison tells the guys this week is important because next week are hometown dates. Jef with one F tells us he’s really hoping he gets a hometown date next week. We get it. Hometown dates are important. Minus 3 . Of the six guys, three of them will get a one-on-one date with Emily this week. The first date goes to A rie Luyendyk Jr ., probably because Emily wants to kiss him (loudly) a few more times. His jacket has elbow patches. Minus 3 . Emily thinks it’s shady that Arie hasn’t told her about his relationship with Cassie the producer . His failure to disclose his past relationship with someone in Emily’s inner circle is disloyal somehow to her. Chris decides to set the record straight about the rumors regarding Arie and Cassie and introduces a segment of Cassie interviewing Emily about Arie. Cassie says it’s no big deal, it was a long time ago, blah blah blah. Emily says the fact that they dated is no big deal. It’s the fact that nobody told her that they knew each other that’s the problem. Emily probes Arie to see if he’ll spill the beans about his relationship to Cassie. The deep dark secret he’s hiding? He had a tattoo of an ex-girlfriend’s name (a different Cassie) on his arm but he’s had it covered up now. Minus 12. Emily, Arie, and Cassie all sat down, off camera, to discuss this relationship. Arie said he didn’t think his relationship with Cassie Lambert mattered, which is why he didn’t tell her. Emily realizes that her feelings for Arie haven’t been affected by this revelation. Sure, Doug, that’s all. John gets the next one-on-one date. Chris says it’s killing him inside that he’s not getting dates. Minus 4 for melodrama. Arie tells Emily that when they were in Croatia, he realized something. He loves her. Plus 20 . And then they kiss some more. And then there are actual fireworks. John and Emily go on a date and paint on the Lennon wall. Emily says she likes him as a person, but she doesn’t know how she feels about him romantically. So they put their initials on a padlock that signifies eternal love and try to fasten it on a wall in Prague. But the lock won’t stay fastened. Symbolic lock, yes? John’s not the one. Minus 3. Chris is “driving himself crazy” sitting at the house. So crazy he has to drink. He’s on edge. DUDE, you’re in PRAGUE. Stop whining and go see something cool! Minus 12. Emily’s still confused about John, so she takes him to dinner in a dungeon. Didn’t she take him to dinner in a cave already this season? John’s ex-girlfriend cheated on him, so now he’s not a starter. He’s a closer. Chris is still whining about how he didn’t get another one-on-one date. Still. He’s not getting the third one-on-one either. Because it’s a group date with Sean and Doug as his wingmen. Sean just has to see kiss Emily, so he goes running around the city of Prague looking for her. Plus 3. Conveniently, there’s a table for two at a quaint little cafe. Conveniently. Minus 2. Sean, Doug, Chris, and Emily explore dungeons and towers and Doug makes a toast to her gracious nature. She’s concerned about their chemistry. I’m concerned about their chemistry. Doug’s grazes Emily’s leg with his hand and loses his train of thought completely. He says he’s a slow mover and he really wants to kiss her. So then he does. And it’s the most awkward kiss in the history of the show. Minus 10. Doug’s going home now. There’s a little more room on the group date without Doug there. Emily gives Sean and Chris each a key. Sean’s key opens the door. Chris is going to go whine some more, I’m sure. Jef with one F gets the final date in Prague. Chris finally gets some alone time with Emily and the first thing he wants to know is why he hasn’t had a one-on-one date with her. She says something about giving him back his confidence and then gives Sean the rose. Plus 4 . Chris is pissed off over not getting the rose. Temper, temper, Chris. Minus 7. Emily thinks Jef would make a great dad since he’s a big kid himself. Emily, honey, the last thing you want is a grown kid to take care of. Minus 3 . They go to a marionette shop and after buying two marionettes, Jef leaves Emily standing in the street. He has to go back and buy a marionette for Ricki. Plus 15 . Emily and Jef go to a library to play with their puppets. And Jef uses his puppet to tell Emily’s puppet that the puppet is beautiful and that his puppet is “100…1 million percent in love” with it. I… plus? minus? I can’t decide.

Singer will perform on Hollywood Boulevard before hitting red carpet and answering your questions. By Christina Garibaldi Katy Perry Photo: Katy Perry is finally set to close the final chapter of Teenage Dream with the release of her upcoming film, “Part of Me.” The 3-D documentary follows the singer over the course of 2011 as she experiences both highs and lows in her career and personal life. On Tuesday, June 26, Katy will be hitting the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to premiere “Part of Me,” and MTV News will be there to talk to the star. But before Perry walks the carpet, she is treating fans to a special live performance on the famed Hollywood Boulevard. We want you to get in on the action as well via Twitter, by using the @mtvnews handle and hashtag #askkaty to get your questions answered by Perry herself. Perry’s flick gives fans a rare glimpse into the life of a pop star. For those who couldn’t make her California Dreams Tour , the film gives a front-row seat to her concert and shows us what life is really like on the road. Perry also shows an extremely vulnerable side in the film. We get to witness early footage of the star, showing her dealing with her parents’ strictness. We also see peeks of her relationship with ex-husband Russell Brand and get an idea of her tireless work schedule. Perry recently premiered the video for “Wide Awake,” a song she wrote for the movie, during her “MTV First,” and it was there that she opened up about the film, saying that even though she may be one of the biggest pop stars in the world, she deals with real issues like any other woman. “There’s some scenes that I know people will screenshot and be like, ‘Oh, she looks like a fat cow with zits.’ But I put those in there because that’s a part of me, that’s reality, and I’m OK with that now,” Perry told MTV News’ Sway Calloway. “It’s been a process of learning it’s OK, and I’m accepting of my own skin, but I think it’s important for young kids to see that you don’t have to be perfect in order to achieve your dreams, because I think that the world has this strange, skewed perception of successful people, that they’re just so perfectly made up, and they have all these possessions that make them who they are, and that’s not at all how I got here; I came from nothing. I didn’t have anything.” “Katy Perry: Part of Me” hits theaters July 5. June 25 is Michael Jackson’s death anniversary. The King of Pop died three years ago today at the age of 50 after suffering cardiac arrest at his home. The coroner ruled it a homicide, and Dr. Conrad Murray, who was over-medicating MJ to a dangerous degree, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter . Murray obviously did not mean to kill Jackson, but was nonetheless responsible for the fatal combination of sedatives that led to the singer’s demise. Serving a four-year sentence, and complaining that he is wasting away in jail amid horrid conditions, Murray has been behind bars since November. Michael may be gone, but three years later, his legacy lives on. In a way, MJ passing away shifted the focus back to his musical greatness and away from the personal problems and eccentricities that dominated news. Jackson’s mother, Katherine, has permanent custody of his offspring, all three of which have all gone on to become well-adjusted, normal children. Just what he would have wanted, and worked so hard to achieve. Musically, his death introduced Jackson to a new generation of fans and invigorated tens of millions of older ones. He hasn’t been this popular in 30 years! For much more MJ, check out our Michael Jackson video section!
While the Kim Kardashian/Kanye West relationship may have come out of nowhere to most of the tabloid-reading public, Kris Humphries was reportedly convinced something was up between these two as far back as last summer. How come? Because Kanye, despite being described as a “close family friend” by Kris Jenner last year, was NOT invited to Kris and Kim’s ratings-based August wedding. According to TMZ sources, Humphries openly wondered why this was the case, expressing suspicion to Myla Sinanaj during their time as a couple earlier this year. Kim Kardashian Talks Kris Humphries Marriage Sinanaj has suddenly become an important player in the ongoing divorce battle between Kris and Kim, with the latter’s attorney’s summoning her to a deposition in order to spill details on her relationship with Humphries . The latest report claims Kris told his former gal pal that he “felt played” by Kardashian and that Myla and Kris were actually together when the latter first heard Kanye admit to loving Kim via rap song . Humphries was allegedly “visibly upset” when he heard the track. That’s how we feel every time we read a story about these terrible people.
