Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon are heating up their relationship, and they don’t care what anyone thinks about it. The 19-year old daughter of Whitney Houston went public this week with the fact that she’s dating Gordon, a 22-year old who her mother took in many years ago and raised as her own child. Since then, the pair has been spotted in public kissing and holding hands, with a source telling Us Weekly Bobbi and Nick are residing in a house in Atlanta – and are engaged! “The situation is beyond sad,” this insider says of Brown and Gordon . “Whitney never formally adopted Nick, but he lived with her and Bobbi Kristina from the age of twelve and they were raised like brother and sister. Nick came from a really bad background.” This mole adds that Bobbi is open about the engagement, showing off a huge diamond ring to friends and saying it formally belonged to her mother. If she and Nick truly do go through with a marriage, it will be met with opposition from family members. Cissy Houston reportedly came out this week and labeled the relationship ” incestuous .”

‘Big was very protective of me, like overprotective,’ Lil Kim tells ‘RapFix Live.’ By Rob Markman Lil’ Kim on RapFix Live Photo: MTV News In the 1990s, there was no R&B band quite like Jodeci . While Boyz II Men, with their clean-cut image, were cut from a more traditional R&B cloth, K-Ci, JoJo, Dalvin and DeVante were the bad boys of the genre. No wonder they fit in so well with rappers, collaborating with the likes of Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and Redman. They almost cooked up a collaboration with Lil’ Kim as well, but the Notorious B.I.G. put a stop to that. “Big was very protective of me, like overprotective,” Lil’ Kim said when she appeared on the March 7 episode of “RapFix Live.” In the early ’90s, Jodeci got their start at Uptown Records, where their talent was cultivated by a then-unknown Sean “Puffy” Combs — whom fans now simply call Diddy . Under the young executive’s watch, the quartet released their multiplatinum 1991 debut Forever My Lady, but somewhere down the line the relationship soured. Kim recalled one incident where she and Diddy’s Bad Boy crew had a run-in with Jodeci in a hotel. “Me and Keisha from Total were in the hallway talking to Dalvin and I think JoJo,” she remembered. “Puffy and Big were looking for us, and when they found us, Big just started draggin’ me by my coat and Puff was like, ‘We don’t eff with them. What are y’all doin’ talkin’ to them?’ ” Despite the incident, Jodeci later wanted to include Lil’ Kim on a remix of their 1995 single “Luv U 4 Life” and offered her a lot of money to do it, but Big, who was both Kim’s musical mentor and lover, vetoed the feature. “At that time, it was the beginning of my career; I hadn’t seen that much money for one record,” Kim recalled. “So Big comes to where I was stayin’ and he’s like, ‘You ain’t goin’ nowhere, I’m gonna out there to see what’s goin’ on,’ ” Kim remembered of Biggie’s interference while laughing. “He locks me in the room; he was like, ‘Oh you ain’t gonna go do no song with them.’ ” Join MTV News as we celebrate the Notorious B.I.G’s life on the 15th anniversary of his death. Mystikal is one of the few MCs who can claim a connection to both crews, but now that he is signed with Birdman what will become of his relationship with former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh ? It’s no secret that the Cash Money CEO isn’t keen on working with his former Big Tymers groupmate, as he told XXLMag.com , but after his release from prison, Mystikal hit the studio with Fresh. “I did some hot tracks with him, when I first came home, like some mixtape kinda stuff. We just ain’t ever released it yet,” Mystikal said on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live.” “Me and Mannie, we have about five under our belt right now, so I’m just tryin’a keep it movin’,” he continued. “I got what I need from KLC, the Beats by the Pound stuff. Lord, it’s gonna be an awesome album,” he said of his upcoming Original LP. In 2010, a viral video of Mystikal freestyling to a number of Fresh beats while the two sat in the producer’s car racked up thousands of views. “The amount of hits on that is nuts, because we were just sitting in the car vibing,” Fresh told MTV News of the video while at Bonnaroo last June. “I was just going through beats, and he was rapping on it, and I’m trying to convince him [that] I think that would be his mixtape.” A few of their collaborations — like “Move Something” and “Uh Oh” — have already made their way online. As far as the rift between the #1 Stunna and Fresh, Mystikal says that has nothing to do with him. He also maintains that he is able to separate his business from the personal. “What I do with Mannie is what I do with Mannie, what I do with my company is with the company,” he said. Sources tell us Bobby’s back to his old cash-divining ways, and he’s now looking for another publisher. Additionally, we’re told a very rich media conglomerate is very busy trying to get Bobby to talk on TV. “ABC is very actively trying to get Bobby Brown for a sit-down,” said a source close to the potential deal-making. “It would probably be with Robin [Roberts] or Barbara [Walters],” added the network source. This chick just-couldn’t-get-enough of this kid: A former Holyoke middle school teacher who pleaded guilty to having sex with an underage student has been charged with probation violation after the now-18-year-old boy was found in her closet. Lisa Lavoie, 26, appeared Monday in Hampden Superior Court and was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail. Lavoie was sentenced last year to five years’ probation on a 2009 statutory rape charge over her relationship with the then-15-year-old, and ordered to have no contact with him. The Springfield Republican reports Lavoie’s attorney said the youth came to her apartment saying he was homeless. David Hoose acknowledged Lavoie should have called police, but wasn’t able to turn him away. A probation officer making a spot check found the youth Friday. Hoose asked that Lavoie be allowed to finish probation under electronic monitoring. Jermaine Jones is reportedly getting kicked off American Idol . The finalist was already in trouble for lying about the status of his relationship with his father, according to TMZ, when producers dug deeper into his past and uncovered a couple more untruths: He has a criminal history. Jones has been arrested twice , providing a fake name to police on both occasions. One of the incidents also involved violence, sources confirm. American Idol insiders say Jones will appear on tomorrow night’s performance show, but will then be given the axe. It’s unclear exactly how it will all go down.
