Pope Francis is here! Pope Francis is here! The man in charge of an entire religion arrived just outside of Washington D.C. around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, greeting The First Family at Joint Base Andrews. This marks his first-ever trip to the States as pontiff. His Holiness is expected to participate in a welcoming ceremony at the White House on Wednesday before addressing a joint session of Congress on Thursday. He’ll then head over to New York City. He will speak at the 9/11 Memorial there and give a mass at Madison Square Garden. But what do we really know about Pope Francis? Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to a big Week 2 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. He then took a totally awesome shot at opposing quarterback Russell Wilson. First, a bit of background: Wilson is a devout Christian who says God told him not to sleep with Ciara . Which is totally cool with us (but which must suck for Wilson). What do we care?!? However, Wilson also offered up the following comment after Seattle came back to knock the Packers out of the playoffs this past January: “That’s God setting it up, to make it so dramatic, so rewarding, so special.” Now… if one were to follow this to its logical conclusion, Wilson is clearly saying God was rooting for the Seahawks to defeat the Packers in exciting fashion. Which could come across as rather offensive to a fan of the Packers and to another Christian, both of which are ways to describe Rodgers. Fast forward to last night's press conference and Rodgers, with a straight face, throwing subtle shade at Wilson by telling reporters: “I think God was a Packer fan tonight.” That would mark two wins for Rodgers over Wilson on the same night.
Frankie Sullivan would like to make something clear: Kim Davis does NOT have the Eye of the Tiger. Even if the controversial Kentucky clerk would like everyone to think she does. Davis – the government employee who made headlines last month for refusing to grant marriage licenses to gay couples… despite her being legally obligated to so – was released from prison on Tuesday. She held a press conference alongside her lawyer and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, shedding tears of joy and giving credit to God – and she did so with Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” blasting in the background. The song was made famous by Rocky III and is considered an inspirational anthem to millions of people, which is why the band’s lead singer went on Facebook yesterday and issued the following statement: “NO! We did not grant Kim Davis any rights to use My Tune -‘The Eye Of The Tiger,’” Sullivan wrote. He then took Huckabee to task, comparing him to Republican Donald Trump and writing: “C’mom [sic] Mike, you are not The Donald but you can do better than that.” After jailing Davis for contempt of court , a judge released her this week on the condition that she would not interfere with her underlings issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. This is otherwise known as following the law . “If you have to put someone in jail, I volunteer to go. Let me go. Lock me up if you think that’s how freedom is best served,” Huckabee told a cheering crowd at the rally, apparently not understanding how jail sentences work. He added: “I am willing to spend the next eight years in the White House leading in this country. But I want you to know I’m willing to spend the next eight years in jail, but I’m not willing to spend the next years in tyranny under people who think they can take our freedom and conscience away.”

The parents of 19 tried and failed to rebuild their image, one which was already controversial, yet in a sense pure, in the scandal’s wake. Whether it was their initial cover-up or attempts to re-frame Josh’s molestation as ” inappropriate touching ,” the public had just had enough. That pretext is hard to ignore when reading the couple’s “Note to Fathers” and “Note to Mothers” respectively, on the Duggars’ official site. “Start protecting your family,” Jim Bob writes, “by removing books, magazines, television, or internet that have worldly or sensual content.” “Replace them with good things like wholesome music, biographies of great Christians , good old-fashioned family fun and games.” Words fail us at this point, and we doubt we’re alone there. Might a sibling rivalry be brewing over an issue of national importance? Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian sat down for a special Q&A in San Francisco, telling attendees that ” we don’t have strict enough gun control ” in this country. That’s an opinion held by many. But not, it seems, an opinion shared by sister Kourtney Kardashian. Likely in a nod to Throwback Thursday, Kourtney has shared a photo on Instagram of her and Khloe Kardashian with weapons in their hands at a firing range. The photo was actually snapped as part of an outing the family went on way back on Season 1 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians . Kourtney simply wrote “Don’t Mess” as the caption to this throwback image, trying to sound all tough and, we can only presume, attempting to intimidate Scott Disick. According to recent reports, Disick was caught getting cozy with some girl in France late last month and Kourtney is considering leaving her baby daddy for real this time.
