Rupert Sanders: Infatuated with Kristen Stewart!

According to a new report, Rupert Sanders isn’t just single, he’s ready to mingle… with Kristen Stewart! Sources tell In Touch Weekly that friends of Robert Pattinson are concerned because the director and Stewart are alone in Los Angles (not counting a few million other residents), while the actor is filming a movie in Australia. “It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Kristen and Rupert got back in touch, and it would be Rupert who reached out ,” an insider tells the tabloids. “He was infatuated with her.” Sanders, of course, was dumped last month by wife Liberty Ross. As for Robsten? They are either about to break up … or get married . Depending on the day of the week and/or the supermarket tabloid you purchase.

The Bay Trailer: Flesh-Eating Water Bug Horror, From The Oscar-Winning Director Of Rain Man

An outbreak of zombie-like symptoms plagues the residents of a waterfront town in The Bay , but I can’t get over the fact that Barry Levinson , the Oscar-winning director of Rain Man and the maker of such resume-tipping hits as Diner , Good Morning, Vietnam , Bugsy , and Wag the Dog is doing a found footage creature feature that doesn’t seem to offer terribly much new or fresh within the genre. Are things that bad, Barry? If you’d told me The Bay was simply another gimmicky wannabe horror hit from the makers of Paranormal Activity I wouldn’t have blinked twice. Maybe there’s some brilliant layered examination of humanity and the environment in how the nice white folks of Chesapeake Bay are being infested with gross waterborne roly poly bugs. This man made The Natural ! Sigh. I’m sure if interrogated, Levinson would cite some itch to explore new genres and filmmaking styles or step outside his comfort zone or whatever. His last theatrical release was the disappointing What Just Happened , and before that he made the Robin Willians comedy Man of the Year . Even that Gotti biopic is looking like The Godfather compared to this. But we shall see: The Bay screens at the Toronto Film Festival and opens in theaters on November 2. Add your thoughts below and while we’re at it, name your favorite Levinson flick that doesn’t involve flesh-eating bugs and shaky home video. Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Snooki & JWoww Find New Digs, Neighbors Fear Apocalypse

After being denied by several New Jersey towns , Snooki & JWoww have found a new place to live, and the residents of their new town aren’t pleased. 495 Productions, the producers of Jersey Shore as well as Snooki & JWoww , had trouble finding a location to film Season 2 of the duo’s reality show. The small town of Manchester stepped up to the plate, though … much to the chagrin of the Manchester natives who have to live next to them. Some of their close neighbors say they had no idea Snooki and JWoww were rolling into the small Garden State town 80 miles south of N.Y. City. When they called the town to complain, they were told the mayor already signed off, so too bad … for him, the next time he runs for reelection. Concerned residents were told 495 would go door-to-door to “address the situation,” but several neighbors tell us that hasn’t actually happened. What would they say anyway? Meanwhile, with pregnant Snooki ready to pop any second, crew members have been seen setting up equipment. Say a prayer for Manchester.

Chris Brown: The Neighbor From Hell

Read the original:

Chris Brown’s neighbors are still not happy with him. As we previously reported , Breezy recently splurged on some new digs in West Hollywood, spending $1.75 million for a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom condo, but his neighbors have been complaining that he’s turned it into a party house. According to TMZ , Chris’ neighbors are accusing him of being utterly disrespectful, blasting loud music and partying day and night and even racing dogs down the hallways at all hours. And that’s not all. Police showed up this week, after someone vandalized the elevator by carving “C.B.” on the elevator door. “Chris Brown is a problematic tenant, to say the least,” the source says. “He has his posse traipsing around until the late hours of the night, he’s loud and totally disrespectful of his neighbors. He’s driving the other tenants in the building crazy. The vast majority of the residents are professionals and they work during the day, so it’s important to them to get some rest at night and that’s proving difficult with the noise that’s being generated.” “The building isn’t meant to be some kind of party house, the residents don’t want that and they don’t want to live in that kind of environment.” “The tenants are complaining about him and the noise he’s generating, they’ve even had to give him at least one warning. He needs to keep the volume down – people are sick of his behavior.” Chris Brown Is Driving His Neighbors Crazy Fox News Goes In On Chris Brown [VIDEO] Chris Brown Kills Birthday Bash 16! Sewage As Hurricane Protection? New Orleans Could Use It To Regrow Wetlands

Image via National Geographic What Hurricane Katrina and many other hurricanes have told us is that wetlands are on the coastlines for a reason — they act as a vital buffer protecting land from storms coming in from offshore. The fact that wetlands in the south have been developed or otherwise ruined has been a contributor to the amount of destruction a hurricane can cause. New Orleans recognizes that it needs to build up that buffer once again, and researchers think partially treated sewage will do the trick. … Read the full story on TreeHugger

A Look At New Orleans Five Years After Hurricane Katrina

Despite many locals having permanently relocated, the city continues to recover from one of the biggest disasters in U.S. history. By Jayson Rodriguez, with additional reporting by Rahman Dukes and Steven Roberts Inside the Louisiana Superdome after Hurricane Katrina Photo: MTV News Five years ago, a New Orleans native by the name of Terrell became separated from his family — his mother, his sister, his brother and his nieces — in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina when he volunteered to help neighbors to safety during the category 5 natural disaster. His story wasn’t unlike the ordeals experienced by many other residents in the Gulf Coast region at the time. Down and hard up on his luck, the young man was determined to reunite with his loved ones. “I haven’t slept since Monday, just transporting people through the flood to the Superdome,” he told MTV News’ Sway at the time, referring to the New Orleans Saints football stadium where survivors were temporarily housed. “It’s a boat that I found and I’m walking through the water pulling a boat of young people and elderly people just to get them out of harm’s way. Three o’clock this morning, I’m pulling the boat and I see a guy, he was holding his baby, floating in the water, they were dead. I had to take a whole ‘nother route. This is what I seen with my own eyes.” Despite the difficult challenges, two days later Terrell found his family in Houston at the Astrodome, where they had been evacuated to for safety concerns. It was only one story of hope fulfilled. But this enduring example represents what’s been going on in the city since: the resolve and persistence of those affected overcoming the odds through sheer will and pride and with a flare for the dramatic. From the Superbowl-winning New Orleans Saints to the residents of Louisiana coming together once again to fight through another setback, namely the BP oil spill, this corner of the country has proven to be the bedrock of our nation. A study released earlier this month by the Greater New Orleans Community Data Center and the Brookings Institution shows that the city’s residents are better off financially than they were five years ago, according to CNN . However, with as many as 1,800 people killed during the storm and a larger number of natives having permanently relocated to Houston, Atlanta, towns in Mississippi and other area cities, the findings may be skewed. Tourism, though, is still a key contributor to the city’s success and the pulse of the city’s economy. While nowhere near the levels it was pre-Katrina (10 million-plus visitors a year), the number of tourists arriving to the city known for his musical legacy, culinary treats and Mardi Gras festivities has grown steadily from 3.7 million the year after the storm to nearly 8 million last year, according to an ABC News report. And while corruption had been a larger part of the New Orleans government and executive leadership in the past, earlier this year, democratic mayoral candidate Mitch Landrieu was elected to lead the city, with a staggering 66 percent of the vote and carrying 365 out of 366 voting precincts. Landrieu’s speech during his swearing-in ceremony perhaps best captured the new spirit of New Orleans and may ultimately prove to be the message the city wishes to send to the world. “That first step is to declare that we are no longer recovering, we are no longer rebuilding. Now, we are creating,” Landrieu told his constituents in May. “Let’s stop thinking about rebuilding the city we were and start dreaming about the city we want to become. The world deserves a better New Orleans. So, people of New Orleans, hear this: Today is a new day. Today is a new time.”

Sick Little Spoiled Bitches Abuse Dementia Patients for FUN

They weren't the swarthy perverts you'd expect them to be. They were the pretty girls, six high school friends from the farming hub of Albert Lea, Minnesota, who'd all found jobs at the Good Samaritan nursing home caring for patients with dementia… While nursing home work can be a painful experience in witnessing the final throes of life, the six girls were bored with the job. So they decided to liven it up by sexually abusing the patients. Brianna Broitzman admitted to police that she poked one patient in the breast. But her friends say she also spit in a resident's mouth, jabbed the boobs of other patients, and stuck her bare butt in a patient's face. Ashton Larson confessed that she'd stuck her finger up a patient's rectum. She would also get in bed with them and make humping motions, pat them on the butt and taunt them into getting angry by laughing at them. When the abuse first surfaced in 2008, the girls admitted they taunted and abused the residents in an attempt to make their work “fun.” All told, they're believed to have abused 15 patients. But the cops didn't think abusing people with dementia was fun; they merely thought it made you a sick little fuck. So the girls were hit with a slew of charges, ranging from assault to abuse of a vulnerable adult with sexual contact. Broitzman has taken an Alford plea, which basically means she admits she'd get drilled in court, but doesn't want to confess to being a degenerate. She'll be sentenced in October, but is expected to get less than a year in prison. Larson heads to trial next month. http://www.truecrimereport.com/2010/08/brianna_broitzman_ashton_larso.php added by: vixxxen618

REVIEW: Film Unfinished Leaves Haunting Impression of Nazi Imagemakers, Victims

The narrator of Israeli director Yael Hersonski’s A Film Unfinished describes the “layers of meaning” locked within the images recorded by Nazi soldiers of the residents of the Warsaw Ghetto in May 1942. They are part of a compilation of raw footage that until 12 years ago were assumed to be vérité glimpses of the half-million Jews trapped within the confines of the Ghetto. It was only when a new reel of outtakes — shots of the subjects rehearsing their “spontaneous” moments over and over — was discovered that something closer to the truth about their provenance was revealed. Hersonski’s measured, devastating pursuit of that truth adds another layer of meaning to those reels, even as it methodically spools and studies each one.
