Sonja Morgan Aims to "Commercialize" Herself on The Real Housewives of New York City

Give Sonja Morgan points for honesty. When asked by Entertainment Weekly why she’s appearing on The Real Housewives of New York City (Morgan debuts tonight), the socialite replied: “I’m on the show to have a good time and commercialize myself… I’ve been writing my screenplay since the minute my divorce started. It’s very sexy, sort of like a Candace Bushnell society novel.” Somewhere in a meeting with her agent, ignoring her children Kate Gosselin is shaking her head and wondering why a single mother on a reality show isn’t using that platform to exploit her kids for sympathy, money and attention. But back to Morgan. What is her life experience? Will she mix it up with her co-stars? We’ve excerpted a few responses from her aforementioned magazine interview : What’s her resume? I’ve been working my whole life, started at 14 years old put myself through college, and then I was modeling in Europe, doing the restaurant business, and brokering deals. Then I got married, had a baby. Then I produced a movie, then I produced an art show and produced an art tour. I said, “You know, I think it’s time to highlight my career.” Will she catfight? It’s not my M.O. I love to gossip like anyone else but I definitely don’t want to hurt other people’s feelings. I don’t have a mean bone in my body. Girl Jake Gyllenhaal Pushed Interview of the Day

If you’ve been reading this site the last few days, you will know I had a little altercation with Jake Gyllenhaal that his people and the restaurant he was in are trying to make disappear. They’ve even sent the Jake Gyllenhaal fan club into my comments to defend his honor and take away my credibility…. They are trying to make me look out like a liar. They are threatening me saying the incident didn’t happen. They are saying I am trying to get publicity, but I didn’t have a fucking camera…my website traffic hasn’t gone up. I haven’t made money. The girl involved doesn’t want her name attached to something so stupid and my name is left out of 95% of reports and prior to this event I didn’t even really know who Gyllenhaal was or how to spell his stupid name…I didn’t even recognize him when he was in the bar until people told me who he was…I write about celebrity pussy not celebrity pussies…. I just went to a bar, made a comment and insanity ensued and wrote what I saw on my personal blog. I am allowed to write what I saw on my blog. There was also no crime in what he did…people shove people in bars…that’s why there is no police report…we aren’t babies who really care that much about this and it’s not like he beat the fuck out of the girl or something we are trying to make into a bigger deal than it is, he just shoved her in his fit and I was mad that he made her cry so I hit my site. Everyone loves him so much thanks to marketing but he throws down temper tantrums better than a 5 year old rich kid…believe it or not, what you see isn’t what he actually is… I love that the mainstream media is saying “We have the real story” when not one person has asked me or the girl I was with what happened-they’ve just decided that it didn’t happen on their own…Maybe they’ve asked Jake’s People…or the Bar trying to protect it’s reputation….Bullshit…. That was until today….when a local blog interviewed the girl who got shoved by him…. Now, I am officially ready for this to die like it was Heath Ledger…It’s as boring as Gyllenhaal’s IMDB page. We pray this isn’t so… According to In Touch Weekly , John Mayer and Taylor Swift – it pains us to even write these words – hooked up in late January. At least that’s what the douchebag of male singer told a friend. It’s already been confirmed that the pair met for dinner in Nashville. But an insider tells the tabloid they got extra cozy in a recording studio there. “She was sitting on John’s lap, her arms were around him, and she was talking in his ear,” said the source. “They were acting like teenagers.” Well, Taylor is only 20 years old. Yet another reason (aside from how much cooler she is) for Mayer to keeps his hands off her. Mayer and Swift dined that evening at the restaurant Cabana and were joined by pals afterward. From there, the magazine alleges, they went back The Hermitage Hotel alone, where they were privately escorted to John’s suite. “Taylor spent the night and enjoyed mid-morning room service before leaving his suite the next day,” said the insider, defying the denial from both singers’ reps that anything romantic has gone on between the two. When asked by a friend how his night with award-winning star went, John supposedly laughed and said: “How do you think it went?” Oh man. Maybe this really did happen. That does sound exactly like something Mayer would say.

Reese Witherspoon is rumored to be back in the dating game with her agent. The Walk The Line actress – who broke up from boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal in December – was reportedly spotted out in Hollywood last week with her agent Jim Toth , having what appeared to be a romantic dinner at Locanda Portofino in Santa Monica. “They were very flirtatious throughout dinner,” a mole said. “They were having a lot of fun, totally getting along and laughing and talking the whole dinner. Reese seemed very happy. She was smiling … the mood was upbeat and really good.” Witherspoon and Toth dined for two hours, reportedly leaving the restaurant about 11pm where they kissed on the cheek goodbye.
