And since they were both there, the interviewer jumped on the opportunity to ask Cynthia about all that sexual tension between Peter and NeNe Leakes. Here was her answer, in case you can’t read it in the photo: NeNe and I are friends on & off the show. She has shown me nothing but love and loyalty. We connect because we are both strong and independent. There is zero jealousy and zero insecurity. We lift each other when we are down, and applaud each other when we are up. I love NeNe because she owns who she is, and I respect that. My Husband and NeNe also connect for the same reasons. Peter and NeNe are both straight shooters, and always keep it real. They are friends because they say what they mean and never apologize for being themselves. I love both for that. Aaaaaw! That cloud Cynthia lives on must be such a beautiful and happy place. After making headlines for getting dumped by Kim Kardashian , Kris Humphries finally has some good news. He has been resigned once again by the New Jersey Nets , and will reportedly get $8 million for one year. Last night was a BONUS episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and in case you missed it, you missed Sheree and Phaedra get served by Sheree’s ex-husband, Bob, in court. Unfortunately, Sheree and her ex-husband are still battling each other over child support, and when Bob beats Sheree to the punch by filing a petition to reduce his child support, Sheree hires her friend and lawyer, Phaedra to help her out with the case. Phaedra reminds Sheree that she still has the option to throw Bob in jail for failing to pay child support for the past four years, but who wants to see their child’s father sitting in a jail cell? Sheree decides to go ahead and take Bob back to court in attempts to get a substantial amount of child support for their children. Kim’s Baby Shower Turns Into A Complete Disaster! “RHOA” [RECAP] According to the housewives, the court system in Atlanta usually favors men especially high profile men like athletes which put Sheree in a tight situation. Although Sheree was nervous about the upcoming court date, Phaedra reassured her that everything would be okay, and to let her do all the talking. The day finally came for Sheree to face her ex in court, and although she was teary eyed, she put her big girl panties on, a pair of low pumps and slacks that hid her “big ol donky booty” and held her head high. Should Sheree Hound Her Ex Husband For Child Support? “RHOA” [RECAP] Less than five minutes into the case, Sheree’s ex hands the judge a Petition Contempt against Sheree, claiming that she took furniture from him during their divorce. Sheree wasn’t sweating, yet, as she stated, “Oh no, no, no, my attorney Phaedra Parks got something better for you boo!” But, Phaedra Parks had nothing. She was just as stunned as we were by Bob’s cleverness and ability to represent himself in court. I guess Sheree should have warned Phaedra ahead of time that Bob was a smart man, and had a degree from Stanford. They agreed to meet in court at a later date, so Phaedra could have time to review Bob’s petition. Later that afternoon, Sheree, Phaedra and Kandi meet for a quick lunch. Their conversation turns emotional with Sheree and Kandi begin talking about Sheree’s experience in court and Kandi’s experience with trying to get child support from her ex husband for her daughter Riley. It’s an emotional moment for the housewives, and it’s hard to watch these strong women broken down by their ex-men who aren’t active in their children’s lives. Last night was another episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Yes, there were a lot of events that happened on this episode i.e. Kim and Kroy deciding whether to have their unborn son circumcised, Cynthia and Peter finally confronting Cynthia’s sister about her actions at their wedding, Nene confessing that she and Greg may have “rekindled” their old flame (if you know what I mean) and Sheree, Phaedra and Phaedra’s “big ol donky booty” (as she likes to call it) confronting the “construction” worker about not finishing Sheree’s house. Of all these events, I definitely think Kandi’s 35 th birthday party overshadowed everything in this episode. First, lets talk about Lawrence’s outfit for the night. I wasn’t sure whether to applaud him for his originality and bravery or be afraid. But I will say that he definitely stole the attention when he walked in the room, and who doesn’t want to have a gay best friend at a birthday party? Work it! Aside from Lawrence’s outfit, everything seemed to run smoothly until Nene walked into the party. Sheree and Phaedra were on one side of the room while Nene and Cynthia stayed on the other side with Kandi in the middle attempting to entertain both parties. Both groups kept going on and on about how they weren’t worried about what the other was doing and how they’re both so over the situation. And the drama continues… After a lot of trash talking, drinks and laughs between the girls, it was time for the main event: Phaedra’s gift to Kandi or as Kandi called it, “The Infamous Ridickulous” If you remember last season, Phaedra mentioned that she knew a male stripper that was rather “talented” and could actually pleasure himself. Well, in this episode, we finally got to see Ridickulous in action and I will admit, I was a little afraid and agreed with Lawrence when he said, “I’m not sure if that was a blessing or a curse!” Phaedra’s birthday present definitely brought a lot of life and laughs to the party, but judging the reaction of Kandi’s mother, Nene and Cynthia, I couldn’t help but to think that having a male stripper whip out his “male parts”, twirl it around like a towel and then plop it in Kandi’s drink was a little gross and enough to make you want to vomit. Cynthia Bailey’s poor husband Peter has been falsely accused: “Real Housewives of Atlanta” husband, Peter Thomas, isn’t heading to jail and was recently found not guilty of battery. Despite reports that a charge of simple battery might result in Peter’s incarceration, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” husband told Sister 2 Sister that there was really no threat of his being found guilty as a result of the incident that happened more than a year ago. According to Peter, his accuser was a woman who was acting up in his restaurant and throwing plates. After asking her to leave, he returned about 30 minutes later and was accused of pushing her. Peter said she slipped and the former employees who testified on his behalf backed his story. Police were called to the scene, which is routine procedure in a case where assault is reported. He was charged and spent 17 hours in jail when the incident first happened. Hmmmm….we guess we’ll believe you on this one Peter! Via Sister 2 Sister
The AJC is reporting that Asheley Jewell has been discharged from Grady Memorial Hospital and is recuperating at home. As we previously reported, the 15-year-old Stephenson High sophomore was shot in the head and critically wounded last March in an apparent road-rage incident on Old National Highway. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information about Jewell’s shooting. Also, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jewell’s family and friends will be in the area around Old National Highway and Jerome Road handing out fliers seeking information. They’re calling it “Justice for Asheley Jewell Day.” More information can be found at the Justice for Asheley Jewell Facebook page. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. Jewell is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J.
