On Friday, Kanye West and his people over at Adidas teamed up with families across the country to stock the upcoming “Geode” Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 at various homemade lemonade stands. The idea for this was not only to bring families closer together, but also to raise funds in support of mental health awareness. Ye’s wife Kim K tweeted about the venture and explained the whole thing yesterday, also showing off photos of her kids at their lemonade stand. This Is America: Former Pittsburgh Cop That Murdered Unarmed Antwon Rose Was Found “Not Guilty” By Jury

Source: Justin Merriman / Getty After Only Three & A Half Hours A Jury Acquitted The Cop That Fatally Shot Antwon Rose According to the NY Daily News , The former Pittsburgh cop that was charged with criminal homicide in the fatal shooting unarmed black teen Antwon Rose was found not guilty. The not guilty verdict came after only 3 & a half hours of deliberation from the jury. Michael Rosfeld was initially charged after giving multiple accounts of the incident that left Rose shot in his face, elbow and back last year. Rosfeld reportedly pulled over the car Rose was riding in on suspicion of having been in the area of a nearby shooting. The former cop initially told investigators that he saw “something dark that he perceived as a gun,” but he later said he didn’t see a gun “when the passengers emerged and ran.” Rose was shot while trying to run away before being handcuffed.

Never Forget: Today In 1967, Muhammad Ali Defended His Title Just Before Defending His Life

Source: Kent Gavin / Getty Fifty-two years ago today, Muhammad Ali would fight his last fight prior to being suspended from boxing. The match took place at Madison Square Garden in NYC and he was fighting Zora Folley . Folley and Ali went seven rounds before Ali knocked him out. The vet went down suddenly, but Ali’s win couldn’t have been much of a surprise, as the heavyweight world champion was undefeated in the ring. “I went to New York to win the championship. I wouldn’t have gone if I did not think I could win,” Folley said at the time . “I was confident. But Ali beat me at my own game…the right hands Ali hit me with just had no business landing—but they did. They came from nowhere…this guy has a style all of his own.” Ali defended his title but at the time he was also fighting for his life, having been reclassified as eligible to serve in the Vietnam war. In April of 1967, Ali refused to be inducted into the United States military—consequentially, his license was suspended by the New York State Boxing Commission and he was stripped of his title, with other states following suit. The following month, Ali would be indicted by a federal grand jury, who accused him of violating the Selective Service Act. He was eventually sentenced to five years in prison with an added fine of $10,000. “I’m the champ. I can beat any man alive. I don’t have to prove it to anybody. It doesn’t make any difference if they take my name off a few bits of paper. You can’t brainwash the fact that I am the champ out of the minds of the people. If I thought it would bring freedom, justice, and equality for 22 million so-called negroes, they wouldn’t have to draft me. I’d join tomorrow,” he is quoted as saying after exiting the courthouse. The champ would never serve the five year prison sentence, as he remained free during court appeals, with the Supreme Court overturning his conviction in 1971. As we all know, Muhammad Ali passed away in 2016 at the age of 74 and his death devastated the world. In 1975, Ali was asked by Playboy how he thought he’d be remembered. He responded: “I don’t know, but I’ll tell you how I’d like to be remembered: as a black man who won the heavyweight title and who was humorous and who treated everyone right. As a man who never looked down on those who looked up to him and who helped as many of his people as he could– financially and also in their fight for freedom, justice and equality. As a man who wouldn’t hurt his people’s dignity by doing anything that would embarrass them. As a man who tried to unite his people through the faith of Islam that he found when he listened to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. And if all that’s asking too much, then I guess I’d settle for being remembered only as a great boxing champion who became a preacher and a champion of his people. And I wouldn’t even mind if folks forgot how pretty I was.” Man, we miss you Ali. Rest in peace.

Tristan Thompson to Khloe Kardashian: Just Give Me One More Chance!

Well, we suppose this was bound to happen eventually. It’s been over a month since Tristan Thompson was caught cheating on Khloe Kardashian with Jordyn Woods — which means it’s time for reports of Tristan begging for forgiveness. As someone who plays for the Cleveland Cavs, Tristan knows a thing or two about longshot odds. Of course, even though a playoff berth for the Cavs is statistically impossible at this point, the team still has a better chance of besting the Warriors in the NBA Finals than Tristan does of winning Khloe back. But apparently, that won’t stop him from giving it his all! According to a new report from Radar Online, Khloe recently informed her family that Tristan is “trying desperately to win her back.” We’re sure they were thrilled to hear it. What could go wrong?! “Khloe is telling her family that Tristan wants her back and he won’t stop sending her gifts,” an insider tells Radar. “Tristan is telling her that he is still madly in love with her and that he is really sorry for what he did.” We suppose there’s nothing surprising about that. After all, Tristan cheated on Khloe while she was pregnant with his child and she took him back then. Of course this time, the betrayal might be even more severe, as Tristan hooked up with the best friend of Khloe’s little sister. Despite all of that — and we can’t believe we’re about to type this — Khloe is reportedly considering the possibility of giving Tristan another chance. “Khloe is considering accepting his apology and she’s convinced herself that he is capable of changing his cheating ways,” says the source. “Her family thinks that she is completely delusional and needs some serious help. Understandably upset, Khloe’s family has been using the adjective that most aptly describes Tristan’s behavior — gross. “She is so hung up on Tristan that he is literally all she talks about. It is just gross,” says the insider. Despite that troubling report, we just can’t imagine that Khloe would actually take Tristan back. Sure, he’s the father of her child, and she’s proven to have quite a weak spot for him. But the consequences of a reconciliation would be severe. For one thing, Khloe’s family would practically disown her. On top of that, the public would be just as repulsed by her decision as her mother and sisters seem to be. To be clear, it’s never cool when somebody’s inner circle pressures them into making a major life decision — but in this case, a little tough love might be necessary. Janice Freeman: Cause Of Death Revealed

Terrible news broke on Saturday, March 3, as it was revealed that popular contestant on The Voice, Janice Freeman, had passed away at 33.  The TV and music worlds were shocked by Janice’s sudden death , which was reportedly caused by a blood clot.  However, more details have since been released regarding the cause behind the singer’s tragic passing.  Documents now report that The Voice star died from a pulmonary embolism , according to her death certificate. The 33-year-old mother also suffered from lupus which was a contributing factor and had battled many health issues throughout her life, including another autoimmune disease called Sjogren’s syndrome. She also had meningitis and even beat cervical cancer, according to E! News .  Once her husband, Dion, realized his wife had stopped breathing, he reportedly called 911 and had to perform CPR on his wife until paramedics arrived. Janice was pronounced dead at a local hospital around 5:30 p.m.  Freeman is survived by Dion, her 12-year-old daughter Hannah, her mother Janice, brothers and sisters, and many extended family members.  She had made it all the way to the final 11 on NBC’S The Voice for season 13 and was coached by Miley Cyrus.  The pop singer expressed her sorrow following Freeman’s death online and even spoke at her celebration of life earlier this week .  She and her father Billy Ray Cyrus performed “Amazing Grace” at the ceremony.  “Before we sing this song for Janice, I just want to clear up a rumor. I was never her coach, ever, she was always mine,” Cyrus said holding back tears.  “I’ve learned more from her than anyone that I’ve ever gotten the honor to be in the room with, not just vocally, I should’ve gotten more lessons than I did, but she taught me everything that I know about love.” The Malibu singer continued by saying, “And, to be here, and I had planned on singing a song for her, but just losing her is just too much for me.” Miley Cyrus Breaks Down at Janice Freeman Memorial Service “So my dad’s gonna take care of this for me. But, I’ll always be your sister, I’m here for you, and I’m here for your family, and Janice I’ll miss you more than I could ever say.” Freeman and Cyrus were more than just partners on a reality competition show, they actually developed a genuine friendship.  According to Janice, Miley Cyrus took care of her family’s security deposit for a temporary two-bedroom apartment to live in early last year, along with the first six months of rent.  Freeman was quick to acknowledge her sincere gestures on Instagram saying, “Miley, you are my dawg, like, my best friend, and I will defend you to the bitter end.” She even spoke through tears in an Instagram video saying, “This woman blessed me to be able to move in. Do you understand? What she don’t know is, I’ve been praying for her.” The day after Miley heard about her dear friend’s passing, she shared a photo to Instagram of a beautiful rainbow.  Captioning it, “You are now a rainbow. Farrah Abraham has often been criticized for being a bad mother. This is what happens when you work in the world of amateur adult entertainment and also when you pose your 10-year old daughter in underwear for the whole world to see. Along these lines, the former Teen Mom star confessed in a recent YouTube vlog that she actually does have some room to improve as a parent — but not for any of the reasons you may think. Not because she goes around exploiting her daughter, Sophia, or anything like that. But because she hasn't done a sufficint job teaching Sophia about having a strong work ethic, the sort of worth ethic she, Farrah, has always possessed. Yes, Abraham is serious. Farrah and Sophia Have an Interesting Relationship Farrah has said her child likes to snap pictures of her mom posing nude… has dressed Sophia up in inappropriate outfits… and has generally acted as if Sophia is her little play thing, with which she can do anything as long as it garners her attention. 2. We Make Fun of Farrah Often for This Relationship But she’s never placed Sophia in danger and the two do seem to be very close. 3. HOWEVER… … there have been signs of tension between mother and daughter. During a recent Instagram Live video, Sophia was heard telling her mom: “You just like to lie on social media. And you like to gossip about me on Live all the time.” 4. Porsha Williams Welcomes First Child!

A long-time member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta now has some really great news to share: She’s a mother! For the first time ever! A rep for Porsha Williams has confirmed to People Magazine that she and her fiancé, Dennis McKinley, welcomed a baby girl on Friday, March 22. The couple’s daughter arrived at 1:36 p.m., weighing 6 lbs., 15 oz., and measuring 20 inches long. Not too shabby all around! “What a time to be alive! Porsha and I are so happy and blessed to announce the arrival of our daughter, Baby PJ,” McKinley told the aforementioned publication, clearly quite psyched to be a dad. He added: “We couldn’t have imagined a more magical moment! Can’t thank everyone enough for joining us on this journey-it’s been a fantastic journey.” Porsha is yet to speak on this blessed occurrence, but her sister just couldn’t hold in her excitement on Instagram. “She’s here!!!!!!” Lauren Williams wrote over a screenshot of a text message exchange with McKinley. “Omggg,” she wrote to him. “Lemme see!” The veteran reality star confirmed her pregnancy in September, admitting at the time that she was anxious and nervous due to a miscarriage six years ago. Such a trauma really took a toll on her psyche, as it would for anyone. “I’ve had a miscarriage before in my past, which I’ve also been open about because I suffer with fibroids and had to have a myomectomy,” said Williams this past fall, adding: “So just the fear of, ‘Is the baby going to be okay? Will I make it full term?’ All those questions that you ask if you’ve had a miscarriage before.” Makes total sense, right? Just like Williams, this is McKinley’s first child. “I believe he’s probably shed more tears during the process than me,” Williams predicted of McKinley, whom she has known for years, when speaking to People. “It’s just the sweetest moment of my life right now.” We are seriously so very happy for Porsha. As for the relationship itself? “Dennis brings out a different side of me,” Williams gushed to Us Weekly in October. “I’m more laid-back with him and we are just in love.” Porsha was previously married to former NFL star Kordell Stewart from 2011 to 2013. Scottie Deem: 90 Day Fiance Alum Sentenced to 20 Years for Child Molestation

In September of 2018, months after her initial arrest, Scottie Deem was indicted on 13 charges of child molestation . Scottie, the adult daughter of Angela Deem, had appeared alongside her mother on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days  and also multiple times on Maury . Now, she has been convicted  and sentenced — to 20 years in prison. Last year, Scottie entered a plea of not guilty, professing her innocence. According to court records obtained by RadarOnline , Scottie was found guilty of three separate counts of child molestation. Each charge carries a sentence of 20 years. However, the court clarifies that Scotty will be allowed to serve all three sentences concurrently. Her sentencing date was February 1 of this year. But anyone happy to see a convicted sexual predator kept off of the streets for decades is in for a disappointment. According to the same report, Scottie could be free sooner than anyone would care to believe. After only two years and one day, she may be allowed to leave prison — just 10% of the way into her sentence. From that point on, she would be on probation. Considering the crimes with which Scottie was charged and for which she has been convicted, this is … appalling. The damage that sex abuse can inflict upon a child lasts for longer than two years — or twenty. Scottie could be out as early as 2021. 34-year-old Scottie was arrested in September of 2017 after her victim’s grandmother contacted the police. It has not been officially confirmed if this arrest came before or after Scottie appeared alongside her mother on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days . The court accused Scottie of having sex with a young minor two or three times between July 1 and August 31 of 2017. In addition to being accused of various sex acts upon the victim, she was also accused of performing “indecent sex acts” in front of five other minors. As we mentioned earlier, Scottie and her mother, Angela, have appeared on television before 90 Day Fiance . Two separate times, the pair appeared on Maury . Both times, Angela accused Scottie of lying, saying that her boyfriend Terry could not possibly be her baby daddy. Angela was accusing her own grandchildren of being the products of cheating. DNA tests in both instances confirmed that Angela was full of s–t and that Scottie’s boyfriend was the father. Of course, that was the boyfriend with whom she cheated with a minor when he was out of town, so … Angela’s doubts seem well-founded. Angela appeared on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days as a larger-than-life personality whose relationship didn’t seem to make sense. An African man named Michael doesn’t seem like a logical match for a 53-year-old Trump supporter. Some have suggested that their story is one of love reaching across a divide, or giving love a chance despite differences.
