Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Attend Prince Concert

Donald Trump may think Robert Pattinson can do better than Kristen Stewart, but the actor apparently disagrees. Rob was photographed leaving a Prince concert with Stewart in Los Angeles last night, as both stars tried to hide their faces in the back of a SVU. But paparazzi cameras were still able to snap a relatively clear picture of Robsten together again. Rumors of a reconciliation have been going strong for weeks now, of course. Both actors are jetting around the globe in promotion of Breaking Dawn 2 , but they found time for each other during the brief period between media appearances. That has to mean something, right?

Robert Pattinson Reflects On Twilight And Bella’s Vampire Transformation In Oz

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 machine is underway and the film’s on and off-screen couple are headed out on the road – though separately for now. Kristen Stewart headed to Tokyo to talk up the wildly successful conclusion to the vampire franchise, while Robert Pattinson flew Down Under for his whirlwind of engagements in Australia. While Twilight distributor is holding a strict “no-go” as far as questions about the real-life R-Patz/K-Stew drama that gripped segments of the celebrity-fueled chatter world in late summer/early fall, Pattinson did bring her up at a meeting with Oz journalists and more on his final play as Edward Cullen. Media hounds have prognosticated a real-life reconciliation though Pattinson stayed on script, only talking up the vampire finale. He gave Stewart a shout-out for her transformation into a vampire in the series. “Yeah, she was really excited about being a vampire. Everybody else who’d been pretty consistently in the movies, they’d obviously been playing a vampire like every day for ages. And so it’s funny seeing someone suddenly come into it and try and figure out their own version of the physicality and the mentality of it. But her character has a different thing, because she’s supposed to find it really easy. It’s supposed to be a natural progression for her to become a vampire, it’s supposed to be simple. So I guess it was kind of different. ” The previous four Twilight features have grossed over $3.2 billion worldwide and the features have catapulted Pattinson, Stewart, Taylor Lautner and a host of others into stardom (some into stratospheric stardom) though Pattinson gave a careful response when asked if he’d take part in a new series spin-off if the chance should arise. “I don’t say ‘definitely not’ to anything. Just in case.” Pattinson recalled how he almost quit acting before the first Twilight landed in his lap, but naturally the series changed all that. “Yeah, it is very odd. I think that a lot of actors go through the same thing, when you’ve literally gotta be just like ‘Ugh, this is pointless.’ That’s the only time you ever seem to get any jobs – you’ve gotta be at rock bottom! But yeah, it’s funny. I was like fully, fully intending not to do it anymore, and then this came up.” He said earlier this year during an interview with ShortList.com that he felt sort of “useless” playing the same part over and over. “You just run out of ideas,” he quipped. “You don’t know what to do any more. I’m not trying to get away from it. You’re screwing yourself, you’re saying you think your work is shit if you try to get away from it. And I never thought it was. I kind of got to the end of my inspiration. You get to the point where you’re like, ‘I don’t want to do a film for a teen audience any more.'” Post- Twilight promotion, Pattinson will be heading back to Australia for his next project. “My next thing I’m doing in Australia with this guy David Michod who did ‘Animal Kingdom,’ and Guy Pearce,” he told MTV Australia. “That’s going to be fun.” Directed by Bill Condon, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens in the U.S. November 16th. The Twilight gang will undoubtedly be heading to the States for more Breaking Dawn talk – and perhaps in the same room. [ Sources: Yahoo! , MTV Australia ]

Press-Shy Wachowski Siblings Go Public For ‘Cloud Atlas’ And LGBT Cause

Despite their enormous successes, the Wachowskis are known for being among the more press-shy filmmakers in Hollywood. But for their latest opus, the sprawling, soul-stirring Cloud Atlas (co-directed with Tom Tykwer), the duo have blazed a trail talking up their ambitious passion project — partly, as Lana Wachowski explains, because of the film’s deeply personal connection to her own recent transformation. The film, adapted from David Mitchell’s novel, tells six interconnected nested stories across the span of hundreds of years, following the same souls evolving through multiple lifetimes. The cast, including Tom Hanks , Halle Berry , Jim Sturgess , Jim Broadbent, Ben Whishaw , James D’Arcy, Hugh Grant, Hugo Weaving, and Doona Bae, play multiple parts often under make-up and prosthetics in the gender- and race-bending ensemble. [ GALLERY: First images from sci-fi opus Cloud Atlas ] Lana Wachowski, a bubbly and luminous presence on the Cloud Atlas press tour with her bright pink dreads and beaming smile, spoke of the privacy she and brother Andy fought for years to protect — and why it was important to trade that veil now, with the world watching. “Anonymity enables you to inhabit civic space, and that way of being in the world is very important to us,” said Lana over the weekend in Beverly Hills. “We like the access that anonymity gives you to the world. As soon as you give it up, you give up a part of your human experience, your humanity.” The decision to peel back the curtain for the first time in 13 years was a tough one, but co-director Tykwer’s experience with press was encouraging and Lana’s opportunity to raise awareness for and give voice to the LGBT experience compelled the Wachowskis to submit to interviews and appearances for their $100 million indie film (which incredibly enough given their past work on the game-changing Matrix series, is their most ambitious and challenging project to date). “When I was a kid one of the reasons that I was depressed about my life and my situation was that there weren’t people like me — there weren’t transgendered people in Hollywood,” Lana offered. “I didn’t even know a writer that was transgendered. There was this feeling that because I was the way I was I would not be able to do something that I imagined that I wanted to do. It would be closed to me, it would be denied me just because of who I was.” “By being more public I, perhaps, am fulfilling a role in my own life in terms of a sort of Cloud Atlas ian consequence, a past life and future life,” she continued. “In a way, I am a future life for that younger part of me looking for someone like me, a role model like me. And if I can suggest to younger people or other LGBT people that it is possible to be in Hollywood and be trangender or is possible to be a writer and be transgender and that gives them hope or lets them shed fear about being who they are, then it’s worth it to sit down with [journalists].” Added Andy: “It’s worth it for me to give up my anonymity as well for that young Lana out there as well. Solidarity to all of our LGBT brothers and sisters out there.” Cloud Atlas hits theaters October 26. Read more on the film here . Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: Back Together?!?

Robert Pattinsin has forgiven Kristen Stewart for what he deems a “stupid mistake” and the beloved couple is now back together. According to a report in Great Britain’s The Sun . “They pretty much decided they couldn’t live without each other,” a Robsten insider tells the tabloid. “Kristen poured her heart out to Robert and told him it was a one-off and a mistake.” There are no named sources listed in the article, nor any evidence to indicate this reconciliation has actually occurred. But Stewart did tell reporters in Toronto last week that she and Pattinson were ” going to be fine .” Why would Robert take Kristen back, considering her admitted actions with Rupert Sanders ? “Rob sees it as Kristen made a really stupid mistake. After a lot of long tearful talks, they’ve worked it out,” explains this source. “Rob can see how truly sorry Kristen is and has totally forgiven her. They really do love each other.” The pair has supposedly even moved back into together, holing up and “focusing on themselves” at a home in the same Los Angeles compound where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have a residence. If this report is accurate, as you happy to see the return of Robsten? Do you think Pattinson is making a mistake? Or do you believe the entire affair was a contrived conspiracy and Stewart has nothing to actually apologize for?

Happy 66th Birthday, Bill Clinton!

The 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton, celebrates his birthday today. The Big Dawg is now 66 years young. Happy birthday, Bubba! William Jefferson Clinton, the pride of Hope, Ark., remains the only Democrat to win two full White House terms since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Clinton presided over the largest peacetime economic expansion in U.S. history, and left office extremely popular, despite the whole impeachment thing. Hey, no one’s perfect, right? His wife, Hillary Clinton, is currently U.S. Secretary of State, and their daughter, Chelsea, says she’s considering running for office too someday. Whatever she does, she’ll make mom and dad proud. These days, Bill runs the extremely influential Clinton Global Initiative and remains a leading voice for progressive economic and social policies. Expect to see him featured prominently at the Democratic National Convention in a few weeks, making the case for President Obama’s reelection. Here’s wishing Clinton – who reportedly went vegan after his bypass surgery – a very happy 66th. A veggie burger to celebrate, perhaps?

Hank Williams Jr. on President Obama: We’ve Got a Muslim President and We Hate Him!

Ah, Hank Williams Jr. Guy really needs to join fellow musicians Ted Nugent and Dave Mustaine on a Anti-Obama Conspiracy Tour 2012. The sound bites would be incredible. At his concert Friday night at the Iowa State Fair – where Obama bought beers earlier in the week – Williams absolutely laid into the President on stage. What did he say, exactly? Following Williams’ song “We Don’t Apologize For America” a chant of “U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A” broke out amongst the crowd, according to the Des Moines Register . Hank told the crowd he was their mouthpiece, and said, “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the US and we hate him!” The cheers that followed were loud and enthusiastic. A hard-line Republican, Williams was fired by ESPN last fall after dropped after he made similarly offensive comments about President Obama last year. Amazingly, Hank’s belief that Barack is Muslim (he’s Christian) is only the second most absurd thing we’ve heard a musician say about him this week. Did you guys know Obama staged the Aurora shooting ?!? [Photos: WENN.com]
