OK, this is just weird: A new character poster for Machete features Lindsay Lohan as The Sister, a vengeful-nun role first teased in the film’s more stirring trailer earlier this summer. Fine and good, except that Robert Rodriguez’s jailbound , profanicured muse was first practicing her oral pistol fixation for photographer Tyler Shields last spring. Should we be, uh, worried?

Turns out that waiting for Jersey Shore ‘s second season is going to be easy: MTV is tiding us over with the best season of The Real World in years. True, most of the fun comes complete with a few dollops of irony and contempt, but that’s fine. Last night our non-hero Ryan continued to infuriate home viewing audiences with his eye-poppingly moronic yet exceptionally watchable shenanigans. Machete is supposed to be fun, right? After all, when that fake trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s low budget Danny Trejo vehicle played in the middle of Grindhouse , and then that hoot of a teaser poked fun at Arizona a few months ago, I’m pretty sure we were supposed to smile, eat some stale popcorn, and get psyched. So why does the new full-length trailer play it so straight?
