Legendary guitarist B.B. King, who brought the blues from the Mississippi Delta to the mainstream, has passed away at the age of 89. Some of King’s children had been feuding with his longtime manager, Laverne Toney, about the music great’s medical care and finances. This month, Patty King accused Toney of elder abuse, a claim that was eventually shot down in court, but highlighted King’s sad situation. B.B. had been at home in hospice care since May 1. Long regarded as one of the greatest musicians in American history, King became an global sensation with his hit 1970 “The Thrill Is Gone.” He recorded countless albums both solo and with other famous musicians such as Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, U2, and Sheryl Crow. A prolific performer, King toured almost non-stop for more than 60 years with Lucille, his guitar (actually a range of black Gibson guitars). He backed off his road schedule only last year. Peerless even among fellow music icons, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, and won 15 Grammy Awards. Actor Isaiah Washington appeared on CNN last night and raised eyebrows with comments about Chris Rock, racial profiling and being at “war” with police. Isaiah Washington on Racial Profiling, Chris Rock After Rock posted selfies of himself getting pulled over by police three separate times in the last seven weeks, the former Grey’s Anatomy star weighed in. Washington Tweeted, “I sold my $90,000.00 Mercedes G500 and bought 3 Prius’s, because I got tired of being pulled over by Police. #Adapt @chrisrock” #Adapt to what, exactly? The Internet quickly had a field day with questions, criticisms and retorts, making Washington an even bigger story than Rock. Isaiah wrote later, “Anyway, you millennials critique and misconstrue my message to @chrisrock I’m getting back to my work to help free all y’all. #Truthdom” The 51-year-old, who was famously fired for making homophobic slurs about (and inadvertently outing) co-star T.R. Knight, took to CNN in response. Washington told host Don Lemon: “I know a lot of people took issue to that hashtag #Adapt, thinking I was implying racial profiling and white supremacy would stop if he were in a different car.” “I will say this,” Washington added. “Since I got out of my G500 and been driving a Prius for the last four years … I have not been pulled over one time.” Lemon asked him to explain what he was saying Rock should #Adapt to, at which point he criticized the term “driving while black” and spoke of an unspecified “war.” “There’s something happening in his community or wherever he is on that road or coming in and out of whatever that terrain, they’re looking for something,” he said. “They’re policing something. And the timing, either good or bad, I think the timing for us to have this conversation it’s a good timing and bad timing for all of us.” “Because they’re looking for something. Obviously, they’re not looking for Chris Rock. Obviously he hasn’t broken any laws. And what you drive shouldn’t matter.” “But if you are at war, which we all know that we are, there is a sentiment in the air that is highly toxic, highly negative,” Isaiah continued. “And what I was doing by that tweet,” he went on, in a roundabout way, “was doing exactly what I wanted it to do, is excite a conversation .” “If we’re looking at this term ‘black’ and looking at this term ‘driving while black’ maybe we really need to look at the term ‘black’ itself and start having a different kind of holistic conversation.” The actor went on to suggest that going forward, Rock should meet with local police officials to take a stand against his recent run-ins with authorities. As you’ve probably heard by now, Rob Kardashian recently compared his sister to Kim to ” the b-tch from Gone Girl ” on Instagram, and Kim, of course, responded by disappearing and framing Kanye for her murder. Okay, we may have made that last part up, but Rob’s post has had a profound effect on his family, which appears to be flopping before our eyes, a la Ben Affleck’s penis in Gone Girl . The feud between Rob and Kim has only gotten worse since the Post Heard ‘Round the World, and now sources are saying that in the days when the drama first began, Rob pulled an Amazing Amy and flat-out disappeared. Apparently, Rob was staying at Khloe’s house when he wrote the controversial caption. After it was posted, he realized he’d taken a shot at the Queen and fled. “After learning Rob had left, Khloe began calling and texting her brother to check-in,” a source tells Radar Online. “After not hearing from Rob for over 24 hours, she called her mom, Kris. Kris began calling Rob’s friends, and dispatched staffers to go by Rob’s condo. “Khloe thought they needed to call the police and file a missing persons report, but Kris didn’t think that was necessary. She thought Rob would get very angry that the cops were called, and it would have created a media circus.” After being missing for 48 hours, Rob reportedly returned to Khloe’s house with no explanation for his whereabouts. We assume he had been robbed by the rednecks that he befriended while he was on the run. (These Gone Girl references doing anything for you guys?) The most interesting part of this sroty is that outside of Khloe, no one really gave a damn that Rob was missing. We know that Kim thinks Rob should be cut off , and maybe that would be the best thing for him in the near future, but right now, the man is clearly mentally ill, so when he disappears for 48 hours, there’s probably cause for concern. Reverend Robert H. Schuller passed away at a nursing facility in California today after a long battle with cancer. He was 88 years old. Schuller – one of the first “televangelists” to bring the church experience to at-home audiences – is best known for launching the “Hour of Power” sermon series in the early ’70s. Schuller also helped build the 2700-seat Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California in 1981. He retired as senior minister there in 1981, and his daughter is now the head of the church. Schuller’s death was announced by his daughter-in-law, who issued a statement saying, “My father-in-law passed away peacefully early this morning. He was a great Dad and a great man of God.” Born in an Iowa farmhouse with no running water, Schuller moved to California shortly after starting a family of his own. There, he started his career in the ministry by renting out a drive-in movie theater and preaching from the roof of the snack bar. His unique brand of preaching focused more on encouragement than on condemnation, and he eventually gained a following of millions, as even non-believers tuned in to his sermons in search of inspiration. Schuller eventually became so famous for his sermons that celebrities such as Muhammad Ali have approached him and asked him for his autograph. Last August, we asked a question about the Full House cast : Where are they now? In incredible news, we now know where they will be: NETFLIX! According to TV Line sources, the streaming giant is ever so close to ordering 13 episodes of Fuller House , a revival of the classic sitcom that will bring back star Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. and Andrea Barber as her best friend, Kimmy. Other Full House alums – such as John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier – are being considered for guest appearances, while Stamos will serve as a producer. If it comes to fruition, the project is will be helmed by the original show’s creator, Jeff Franklin. Full House concluded its eight-season run on ABC in 1995. Cast members have remained tight, however, with Stamos, Saget and Coulier reuniting for a Super Bowl commercial last year. Yes, Jenelle has been taken into custody for a wide variety of idiotic offenses over the years including harassment, possession of narcotics, probation violation, and cyber stalking. Oh, and who could forget the time Jenelle assaulted Brittany Truett in a World Star-worthy beatdown that was caught on video? Jenelle’s latest arrest for driving without a license seems pretty tame by comparison, but given her long ( long ) history of run-ins with the law, it could land the mother of two in some serious trouble. According to police records, Jenelle was booked at 3 pm yesterday and spent an unknown period of time in a South Carolina detention center before being freed on $237.00 bail. Shortly after her release, Jenelle responded to concern from fans and criticism from haters by retweeting a friend who had attempted to clarify the incident online: “Yall chill she paid a speeding tick 3 days late in 2013 & license was just suspended recently & she had no idea. It’s cleared up. It’s all good.” While things may be “cleared up,” they’re almost certainly not “all good.” Jenelle is fighting for custody of her 5-year-old son Jace, and this latest scrape with the law is unlikely to help her case. Last week, Nathan Griffith flirted with Stevie Ryan on Twitter and extensively trash-talked his fiancee, Jenelle Evans, in the process. After the message exchange went public, we assumed that would be it for the troubled couple, but astonishingly, Nathan and Jenelle are still together . Given what we’ve seen of Jenelle’s notorious temper, we find it a bit strange that she and Nathan were able to weather this storm so easily. And it seems we’re not the only ones: In response to tabloid reports that Griffith had publicly apologized to Jenelle, Stevie decided to set the record straight: “Jenelle, deleting his Twitter is not apologizing,” Ryan tweeted to Evans today. It’s a good point, though we’re sure Griffith did his fair share of groveling in private. Friends say it’s not so surprising that Jenelle decided to give Nathan a second chance, as she’s setting the bar pretty low these days: “Nathan never cheated on Jenelle,” one insider tells Radar Online. “He just made her mad, that’s all. It’s no biggie.” Yeah, Nathan didn’t cheat; he just tried to cheat! Big difference.
