Britney Spears Talks Femme Fatale, Kids, Music, Life With Rolling Stone

“Hold It Against Me” is a #1 hit. “Till the World Ends” is not far behind. Two additional tracks, “I Wanna Go” and “Inside Out” , leaked just last week. Both have drawn waves. The pop princess is back, baby. Britney Spears opens up to Rolling Stone in a fun new Q&A session. She talks a lot about her new album, Femme Fatale , as well as her home life. Some excerpts from her interview below … On the kids’ take on FF : “They definitely dance to it but they are still confused …. It’s like, ‘who is this Britney Spears singer in contrast to mommy?'” On her involvement in the process : “I have always been heavily involved in every album I have ever made. I’m very stubborn when it comes to recording and will only record songs I love, which is why it takes me a long time to make an album.” “I have to feel connected before I record and the song has to spark something inside me. Very few songs do that. I guess it’s a good process because I love all my music. I know there are a lot of artists that hate songs they recorded.” On the sound of Femme Fatale: “I wanted to make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you’re going out at night that gets you excited but I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now.” “I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout.” On what she listens to at home : “I love the Peas but I also love Deadmau5. I guess I’m all over the place. Lately I have been listening to Robyn and Adele non-stop but I also love to find new artists that very few people know about.” On working with will.i.am : “The Peas make incredibly catchy, fun pop/dance records and I LOVE will.i.am’s style. I have always wanted to do a song with him and would love to work with him more in the future. He is so interesting.” On working with Dr. Luke : “We have known each other for a long time. Most people don’t know this but we worked together when I was recording Blackout . He was incredible back then and he has only gotten better over the years.” Here’s Britney’s latest efforts from the new record … Britney Spears – I Wanna Go Britney Spears – Inside Out

Dwyane Wade Wins Custody Battle Over Ex-Wife

View original post here:

Dwyane Wade has won the long-hard custody battle for his two sons against his ex-wife Siohvaughn. She’s only allowed to see her sons alternating weekends, holidays and for half of the summer. Siohvaughn’s lawyer said this: WBW: Top 9 Most Exciting NBA Players “Unfortunately I think the court got it wrong and it’s not in the best interest of these children and fails to recognize that Siohvaughn Wade has been a wonderful mother and a provider for these children, educationally, emotionally and physically. Mr. Wade, while well-intentioned, just does not have the ability to parent these children. Siohvaughn Wade is “extremely disappointed. She’s in disbelief. She’s hurting for her children.” Dwyane had this to say: My life changed in a huge way. Mentally, I’ve been preparing for it for over a year now. To me, it’s bigger than that. For me, it shows a lot of people that you need to fight to be in your kids’ lives sometimes. You fight until you can’t fight any more. That’s all I was trying to be, a father in his kids’ lives.  I think them living here, being here, it’s a great opportunity for them and I’m looking forward to it for them, to grow up with me and us learning together, how to be father-son. So I’m excited.” Spotted at NecoleBitchie.com Lil’ Wayne Covers Rolling Stone, Talks About Beef With Lebron James & Dwayne Wade The 10 Most Ignorant Things Athletes Have Ever Said

Ne-Yo Says He Wasn’t Hating On Snooki, But…

He still thinks Rolling Stone magazine was on that bullsh*t for putting her on their cover. Here’s what he told 97.9 The Box’s Madd Hatta Morning Show about his Twitter comments : “I’m gonna go on the record and say I don’t have no beef with Snooki..I’m not disrespecting Snook… atleast I didn’t feel like I was.. I don’t know that girl. Congratulations Snooki, you pimped the system. You found a way to get on a magazine that has nothing to do with you… She does reality tv. Rolling Stone is a prestigious music magazine. How the Hell did Snooki get on the cover of Rolling Stone?. I was mad at the system, I wasn’t mad at her… I’ve been in the game 6 years, Ive got 3 Grammys, 3 multi platinum albums hits on myself, hits on other people and Rolling Stone ain’t so much look in my direction… I just feel like she shouldn’t be on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.” He kind of has a point thought. Do you think he’s just being salty? Here’s Ne-Yo’s full Houston radio interview.

Wiz Khalifa Says ‘Roll Up’ Is ‘For Guys To Sing To Chicks’

Wiz talks to MTV News on the set of his Jake Davis-directed video. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Matt Elias Wiz Khalifa on the set of “Roll Up” Photo: MTV News Oh, that Wiz Khalifa is so clever. The “Black and Yellow” star followed up his breakout single, which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, with “Roll Up.” When he spoke to MTV News late last year, he teased the song as a nod to his favorite pastime — his album is called Rolling Papers , after all. “The next single is called ‘Roll Up,’ surprisingly,” he coyly explained with a laugh. The song, however, is anything but smoke inducing: It’s more of the skirt-chasing variety. “I was trying to be funny, be clever as possible,” Wiz told us recently on the set of the video for “Roll Up.” “It’s for the chicks. It’s for guys to sing to chicks. And it’s just a fun song.” In the clip, directed by Jake Davis (Drake and Trey Songz’s “Successful”), Wiz said he is “courting a female that I’m into.” Instead of real-life love interest Amber Rose, however, the Pittsburgh rapper has his sights set on the female lead in the video, Bad Boy recording artist Cassie. “It’s really, really awesome,” Wiz said of her casting. After being named one of MTV News’ 11 for ’11 celebrities to look out for in the new year, Wiz has managed to put a lot on his plate. He’s gracing the cover of the new Rolling Stone , he’s scheduled to start the Green Carpet Tour next month, and he and Snoop Dogg are finishing up their “High School” movie and music joint effort. But first, Wiz has to drop his album — Rolling Papers , his major-label debut, is set for a March 29 release — after a long rise to stardom for the former underground favorite. “I been waiting to put an album out for a long time,” he said. “But I feel like now my sound, at this point, has grown and matured and it’s right where it needs to be at for people to get that perfect pull and debut album from me. I’m ready to deliver.” Are you awaiting the release of Rolling Papers ? Tell us below! Related Artists Wiz Khalifa

Mariah Carey Says She Was ‘Naive’ About Performing For Gadhafi

‘I feel horrible and embarrassed to have participated in this mess,’ singer says about 2009 concert funded by the Libyan dictator. By Aly Semigran Mariah Carey (file) Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Mariah Carey wants to make things right after accepting $1 million to perform for family members of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi at a 2009 New Year’s party in St. Barts. The singer released a statement regarding the performance that reads: “I was naive and unaware of who I was booked to perform for. I feel horrible and embarrassed to have participated in this mess. Going forward, this is a lesson for all artists to learn from. We need to be more aware and take more responsibility regardless of who books our shows. Ultimately we as artists are to be held accountable.” Carey, 41, who is expecting twins with husband Nick Cannon , told Showbiz411.com that after the birth of her children, she plans to record a new song called “Save the Day,” the proceeds of which will go entirely to human rights charities. But Carey isn’t the only artist with regrets about performing for and receiving money from the Gaddafi family. In February, Nelly Furtado tweeted, “In 2007, I received 1million$ from the Qaddafi clan to perform a 45 min. show for guests at a hotel in Italy. I am going to donate the $.” Following suit, on Wednesday, Beyonc

Snooki on Vinny Guadagnino Feelings: So Lame

Snooki admits she had feelings for Vinny Guadagnino on Jersey Shore . This is not surprising to those of us who have watched the show since the beginning, but also not something she likes to be reminded about in retrospect. On tonight’s new episode, Snooki, who’s still with Jionni LaValle , wishes she hadn’t professed her love for Guadagnino during a raucous club outing. “I’m embarrassed. F–k my life,” Snooki says. “I like him, but it’s not a good look for me to start to have feelings [as] he’s bringing home all these girls.” “He tells me he’s not going to bring anyone else back home so we can cuddle and then he brings somebody home. It just makes me look stupid.” Though their romance didn’t pan out, all is not lost. At least she got it in at least once, ended up with another boyfriend, and is on the cover of Rolling Stone for some reason. Yes, really. She’s on it. Freaking Snooki. That’s all we have to say.

Snooki Blasts Off On The Cover Of Rolling Stone

Mag dubs her ‘America’s #1 Party Girl.’ By Aly Semigran Snooki on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine Photo: Mark Seliger/ RollingStone.com Pint-size reality star/published author Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi made the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine — doing her best “Dr. Strangelove” imitation, no less — which hits newsstands this Friday. But the cover shot already hit the Web on Wednesday (March 2), prompting Polizzi to tweet , “THE NEW ROLLING STONE COVER : Nicole Snooki Polizzi ♥ #loveitorhateit =).” In the issue, the 23-year-old, who is currently riding the success of the record-breaking third season of “Jersey Shore,” poses with pickles, discusses life in the limelight and announces her plans for total reality-television domination. While the magazine has dubbed her “America’s #1 Party Girl,” it may not be a title she is entirely comfortable with. Polizzi, who said she watches the show every week, has noticed how her partying ways have caught up with her. “If I do something stupid, which is pretty much the whole time, I hate it,” she reveals, “I just hate it. Obviously, they’re only going to put the good stuff in, and the good stuff is us drunk, so all I’m seeing is me drunk and falling down. That’s how I am when I party, but some of the stuff I do is, like, ‘Really, Nicole?’ I look like a freakin’ alcoholic. I’m like, ‘You’re sweating, your makeup is running, you look gross.’ I just look like sh–.” Still, those less-than-flattering moments and the effects of being on camera all day, every day (“There’s no normalcy,” she gripes) don’t seem to stop Polizzi from seeking out a life in front of the cameras. “When ‘Jersey Shore’ ends I’m going to do more spin-offs,” she told the magazine. “What I’d like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand. She makes millions … I’m trying to build an empire, because after this I can’t get a normal job. I mean, how do I go and sit behind a desk?” But before those future endeavors, Polizzi is more than willing to talk about what’s currently going on at “Jersey Shore.” In addition to releasing excerpts from the interview, a video has been posted at RollingStone.com featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the multi-outfit (including a pickle barrel) photo shoot with Polizzi, who discussed everything from heading to Italy to her occasional friend-with-benefits, “Jersey Shore” castmate Vinny Guadagnino. Polizzi, who said she was excited but surprised that Rolling Stone chose her for the cover (“I’m like, ‘Okay, who am I? Like, I don’t sing, I don’t do anything like that”), also theorized on why she’s the most-liked castmember on the series. “I think everyone gravitates towards me more on ‘Jersey Shore’ just because I think I’m more relatable and … I’m real and I don’t care [if I] show my real side.” Still, Polizzi will likely bond with her fellow castmembers as they head to Italy for the upcoming fourth season. “I’m definitely excited to go to Italy for the new season,” Polizzi says, but acknowledges her limited capabilities of the language. “The only thing I really know in Italian is ‘Ciao, bella.’ ” Polizzi also brought up a certain castmember after riding the RS cover rocket (which she later signed, “Goodbye rocket, you hurt my ass”): Vinny Guadagnino. “Vinny definitely compares to the rocket I sat on,” Polizzi said of her co-star, with whom she’s shared some, er, intimate moments on the show. “I would probably call that rocket Seabiscuit because that’s the same size as Vinny’s ding-dong.” Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
