Note to Kim Kardashian: you can keep the bondage boots . But please give me my crazy expensive ring back. That’s the gist of Kris Humphries’ demands, a source says, as these two ballers (him in the NBA, her in… you get it) continue to battle it out in divorce court. “Kris wants the [engagement] ring back because the marriage only lasted 72 days and he believes it was based on fraud and deceit,” an insider tells Radar Online. “Remember, Kim filed for divorce . Kris paid for that ring, and he just can’t fathom why Kim would want to keep it.” That would be a reasonable point… if E! clearly did not pay for the ring. Last week, Kardashian’s attorney was in court, trying to end the legal maneuvering by both parties. She claims the divorce is still not finalized because Humphries is dragging it out on purpose in a desperate attention to garner headlines. If true, hmmmm, we wonder from where he would have learned such a thing.
Beyonce’s gown was dazzling at Monday night’s MET Costume Institute Gala, but her remark about wanting more children was even more noteworthy. The new mom, decked out in a Givenchy couture sheer gown, stole the show at last night’s parade of amazing dresses and famous faces in NYC. Asked by Nancy O’Dell on the red carpet if she’s thinking about more kids, Beyonce replied , “Definitely. I definitely want to have more,” she said. “I don’t know how many. God knows I don’t know yet.” Four months after giving birth to Blue Ivy, the 30-year-old said she hasn’t been working out to get her post-baby figure back, just working. “I’ve been rehearsing, I have a show coming up and it’s my first show in a year,” she tells ET. Somehow we’re imagining she’ll nail it. Among those joining her to walk the red staircase were Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel’s engagement ring , Kanye West, Sarah Jessica Parker, Smash star Katharine McPhee, Heidi Klum, Tim Tebow and dozens more. Jessica Biel showed off her engagement ring and the handsome man who gave it to her at the Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala in New York City last night. The stars came out Monday for the annual event, but no one shined quite as brightly as Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake in a rare joint appearance. Here are two nice pics of the couple, and her rock: Timberlake, 30, certainly looked dapper in a Tom Ford tux, but Biel, 30, stole the show , showing off her enviable figure in a low-cut Prada gown. Former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Alex Da Silva has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping a former dance student, reports say. Da Silva was arrested back in 2009 for a whole host of felonies. The 43-year-old was charged with sexually assaulting four women, all former dance students of his between the ages of 20 and 26 at the time. Sick. Alex Da Silva on So You Think You Can Dance Da Silva was convicted of one count of rape and one count of assault with intent to rape. The jury deadlocked on the other charges, which were dismissed. Da Silva appeared on Seasons 1-4 of SYTYCD (above, mentoring now- DWTS pro Chelsie Hightower). He was ordered to register as a sex offender for life. Fellow one-time SYTYCD mainstay Shane Sparks was also charged with a sex offense recently, pleading guilty to unlawful sex with a minor.
Sigh. The mom of young Isabella Barrett of Toddlers & Tiaras fame is suing the MEDIA for over-sexualizing her daughter … by reporting on Isabella’s “Sexy And I Know It” cover . Susanna Barrett claims media outlets, in reporting that event, portrayed her five-year-old daughter in an “overly sexualized manner.” Right. All the media’s fault. In court papers, Susanna claims Isabella “did not act or portray herself sexually, erotically or provocatively” and that coverage of her performance was unfair.’ Isabella Barrett Sings “Sexy and I Know It” “She was not ‘gyrating’ at a ‘nightclub’ or singing ‘about her sex appeal,” the elder Barrett claims incredulously. “On the contrary, it is the defendants who, through their articles … thrust these false and vulgar characteristics on to Isabella.” Yes, this is a real story. The delusional mother seems to see nothing wrong with having her daughter sing a sexually-themed LMFAO song. The media talking about it though? Shame. Thanks to TMZ, The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail and other celebrity news sources, “Isabella is now perceived sexually, erotically and pornographically.” Suing for $30 million, Barrett adds, “[The articles] place Isabella in physical danger, attracting the attention of others who would seek to sexualize a child.” Well, on those grounds, can someone sue her for $30 million too then?
While Demi Moore works to overcome her recent personal problems, we have an update on her professional life: Sarah Jessica Parker has signed on to replace Moore as Gloria Steinem in Lovelace , the upcoming biopic centered around the life of 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace. Demi dropped out of the film almost immediately after being hospitalized earlier this week. Parker joins a cast that includes Amanda Seyfried in the title role, along Peter Sarsgaard, Adam Brody, Juno Temple and Wes Bentley. Moore, meanwhile, is out of the hospital. Her next move is unknown, but the 911 call placed on her behalf was released to the public today.
It would be too easy to seethe and writhe with dismay about Matthew Broderick — who’ll turn the big five-O(MG I’m old ) in March — reprising his role as everyone’s favorite truant teen from the ’80s, Ferris Bueller, for Honda. But factor in a 10-second teaser and a few other implications reported this morning, and the spasms of outrage might just ensue involuntarily. Indeed, there is something more than a little destabilizing about a doughy, gray-haired Bueller ripping open his curtains, uttering a midlife-crisis variation on his indelible dictum from the 1986 John Hughes classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off : “How can I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?” The new video’s most optimistic observers wondered, “Sequel?”, while a new dispatch from Jalopnik may prompt a more piercing cry of, “Heresy?” A source familiar with Honda’s operations hinted to us earlier this year that the company was going to do a Ferris Bueller -style ad for the Super Bowl starring none other than Matthew Broderick. The source also added that the spot was going to mimic much of the original film, except this time prominently featuring Hondas. The big jump the two valets do in Cameron’s dad’s Ferrari? We hear this time it’s going to be a Honda CR-V. Honda is pouring a lot of money into this ad and, according to our source, hired The Hangover writer/director Todd Phillips to put it all together. Ah… ha . [Cue prolonged silence] I reached out earlier to both Phillips and Hughes’s family for insights and reactions to the news; neither has yet responded, but as far as I can tell, licensing the Bueller likeness is a two-party process involving Honda and Paramount, so you probably don’t have any legal drama or the like to anticipate. Coaxing Broderick, meanwhile, probably wasn’t too hard but couldn’t have been cheap at all . It’s strange, too — I always thought of Sarah Jessica Parker as the paycheck-part pants wearer in the family.
