Todd Palin Slams Joe McGinniss’ Book, Neglects to Mention Awesome Glen Rice Rumor

Sarah Palin’s husband, Todd, denounced Joe McGinniss’ new book about Alaska’s most famous family as “disgusting lies, innuendo and smears” in a statement. The former governor’s camp is looking to discredit the biography – a racy, detailed, provocative tell-all, even as Palin gossip goes – which is due out next week. Todd Palin slammed The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin , specifically denying that his business partner Brad Hanson had an affair with his wife. The part about Glen Rice nailing Sarah Palin , sadly, went unmentioned by Todd. Todd Palin wrote of McGinniss : “This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in next door to harass and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife.”

New York Fashion Week is coming to a close, but we’re still catching up with celebs left and right. We got the chance to speak with Angela Simmons about her goth-inspired get-up backstage at the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2012 show. What was your inspiration for tonight’s outfit? It was just all about these shoes. We’ve seen “Jesus pieces,” but I’ve never seen a crucifix-detailed clutch. How did you choose that? It’s “Our Lord and Savior”! You’re rocking a serious dark lip tonight, who made that? This is Nars. It’s actually a lip pencil. It’s their “Velvet Matte Lip Pencil” in Train Bleu. Who is your style icon? I really look up to Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs & Tom Ford, designers that have successful innovative lines. And Rachel Roy! She’s amazing. I’ve really been watching her, she’s like a mentor to me. What’s the best advice she’s given you? So many things, but basically she told me something like this: the more you learn, the less you know. There’s always something to learn no matter where you’re at. It’s constant. What’s new with Pastry? We’re always expanding Pastry. Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas: It’s Over!

The reality show romance between Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas has come to an end. The ballroom guru and the American Ido l finalist – who started dating soon after the latter was shockingly eliminated from season 10 – “both decided with everything going on that they couldn’t give each other what would be fair,” says a source. “They mutually decided this.” Ballas is paired with Kristin Cavallari on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars and there’s little doubt rumors will soon surface over whether or not she played a role in this split. Toscano, meanwhile, will release her debut album this fall.

Levi Johnston: Bristol Palin Got Pregnant Just to Spite Sarah!

In his new book , Levi Johnston claims Bristol Palin not only wanted to get pregnant, she did so to spite her famous mom, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs is due out next week, and within its pages, Johnston airs more dirty Palin laundry than ever. Considering it’s what Levi does for a living, that’s saying something! Levi Johnston says Bristol Palin was angry when she discovered Sarah was expecting her fifth child (son Trig) and felt she should be the one preggo instead. According to Johnston, Bristol told him in March 2008, “let’s get pregnant.” Whether that HOT directive actually took place or not, he obliged all right. Johnston also refutes Bristol’s earlier claim that she lost her virginity drunk on a camping trip, saying they were sexually active earlier in their relationship. He also writes that he was “too dumb” to use protection. That we believe. Despite claims by the Palins, Johnston writes that he was present for Tripp’s birth, and that Sarah Palin wanted to be called Mommy Sarah (not grandma). He also insists that Todd Palin reacted angrily when he learned Bristol was pregnant at the age of 17, telling Johnston he had to quit school and get a job. Johnston also writes that Sarah Palin wanted to adopt Tripp as her own to “avoid a scandal.” Whether she really attempted to conceal it or not is unclear. What is clear is that this guy has extended his 15 minutes impressively. Between this and Mercede Johnston in Playboy , this family knows how to milk it! So brothas just gonna start coming out of the woodworks talkin’ bout how they love Sarah Palin after finding out she’s been swirl surfin’??? He might have played at Barack Obama’s inauguration, but Wyclef Jean also really likes Sarah Palin. The Haiti native, who lost his bid to become president of his home country, was talking about the many virtues of the former vice presidential candidate Monday night at a post-fashion show party. “I have to tell you this, I am a huge fan of Sarah Palin,” Jean said at the after party for the Donna Karen Collection show. Why does he like the spunky Alaska native? “Cause she’s rad. She’s shrewd. She’s cool. Because at the end of the day, I’m for the people, because this is the United States of America…this is what America’s really about,” the Fugees band member said. “Anyone should have the right to say, ‘Look I can do the job and this is what qualifies me to do the job.’” There is one person who might not be as big a Sarah Palin fan though. “Now my wife probably will debate and disagree with me,” Jean told Women’s Wear Daily. Clef goes on to say: “I’m not saying she could be the next president, you know, but there’s something about her. A new Sarah Palin book claims that the former Alaska governor had sex with former NBA player Glen Rice, while she was an Alaskan sports reporter. Apparently Palin had a fling with former Heat/Hornet/Laker Glen Rice while he was in college and while she was a sports reporter in Alaska, all the way back in 1987, and get this…Rice confirms it in the book. According to the National Enquirer: In the book, which will be published on September 20th, McGinniss claims Sarah had a steamy interracial hookup with basketball stud Glen Rice less than a year before she eloped with her husband Todd. Sarah hooked up with the NBA great, then a 6-foot-8 junior at the University of Michigan when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987, the book says. At the time, Sarah, just out of college, was working as a sports reporter for the Anchorage TV station KTUU. A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.” In the book, McGinniss quotes Rice as confirming the one-night stand. Charlie Sheen Rewards Brooke Mueller with Mexican Vacation

Perhaps Charlie Sheen really is a changed man . The actor has touched down with ex-wife Brooke Mueller in Mexico, telling TMZ the trip is actually a reward for the troubled mother of his twins because she’s been “busting her ass with the boys, and [she’s] more sober and healthy than I’ve ever seen her.” Sheen has made it his goal to get Brooke on a proper path, paying for her treatment with a team of doctors he trusts. It’s amazing how far these two have come. It was only February, according to court documents, when Sheen lamented the fact that he didn’t kill Muller during their infamous, dangerous fight on Christmas Day 2009. Glad to see they’re getting along now!

In the Palin family, “T” stands for “family.” That makes perfect sense, then, why Bristol Palin would get a cursive “T” tattooed on herself recently. Bristol got the ink on her right foot, with her rep explaining: “T is for Tripp, Trig, Track and Todd,” her son, two brothers and father, respectively. The totally terrific tribute. See what we did there??! Bristol with rumored boyfriend Kyle (middle) and Chris Massey . Palin debuted the new tattoo, not that you can see it here, at a lunch date at Pink’s Hot Dogs in West Hollywood, Calif., with Kyle and Chris Massey. She is reportedly dating Kyle Massey , much to mother Sarah Palin’s chagrin, and will be starring with him and his brother Chris on a new reality show. Yes, we’re serious. “Kyle and Bristol hit it off from the first day they met,” Chris told People recently. “We all became good friends. Over the course of the show, we only got closer and closer. Both of our families connect well. It’s one big happy family.” That’s not what we heard. In fact, Sarah reportedly bought a place near Bristol’s Arizona digs to keep tabs on her. But who knows. Time will tell. At least it can’t be worse than the last family Bristol was involved with. No one hates the Palins, and vice versa, like Levi and Mercede Johnston . [Photo: WENN.com]
